Election to House of Representatives January 10. 1987

To My Special Wife,

Isn't this unbelievable? We're going to Washington. Well, to tell the truth I'm already in Washington and you're in Manchester so the girls can stay in school and you can stay at the hospital in Boston. That's the agreement we made. And I can't thank you enough for the sacrifice. And I know it is quite a sacrifice. We will be apart and it will be tough on the family. I will come home as much as I can. I don't want the girls to miss me too much. Or you. But with God's help we will make it. It's such a great opportunity for me. I can help so many more people than I could just being in the state legislature. We made it through there and we'll make it through this as well. I love you so much. And thank you for agreeing to have a housekeeper. Mrs. Wilberforce will certainly relieve some of the stress on you. That was a great idea.

Listen, we'll talk every night before bed. Although I won't be there in person, I can certainly give you some sexy ideas to help you sleep. By the way, only you will be on the call, right? No children? Just wanted to check. No need to give them ideas any sooner than they will get them. Anyway, I need to run. My first vote is coming up and I have to go. I love you so much. Stay tuned for that call. It'll be worth it.

Your sexy husband, Jethro
