A blush grew on Star's face, she knew exactly what he meant. She nodded her head notifying Marco that she hadn't. With a sigh of relief Marco began eating again. A sly smile found its way on Janna's face, "So Marco, what exactly was the everything you don't want us hearing". Marco looked up at Janna, he was uncomfortable. He knew she would figure it out. He had to figure something out. He began stuttering, "S..So w..we were...", Janna burst out laughing, "Relax dude, I'm just messing with you". "Don't do that to me Janna", Marco said as everyone was laughing. After dinner queen Moon and king River left the table. The only ones left were Marco, Star, Janna and Tom. They were talking, giggling and each had a hand intertwined. A feeling of dread crept in the pits of the stomachs of Star, Janna and Marco. "Guys I kinda want to get out of here", Janna said which was quite out of character for her. Star and Marco agreed, they looked uncomfortable as if someone was watching them with the intent to kill. Tom was very confused, he did not feel what they felt, he was a demon after all. This sudden mass of uneasiness drove them to leave. Tom offered Janna a ride home, which looked like it calmed her down a bit. Star and Marco ran straight to Star's room. The feeling however stayed.
In Tom's carriage Janna sat there alone in the corner. Tom went up to her, sat down beside her and put his arm around her, comforting her in a way. "Janna what's up? This isn't like you at all?", Tom asked looking a bit worried. Janna looked at him and she said, "Something is going to happen, and it's not going to be pretty". With his left hand he took Janna's right one. They sat like that until he got to Janna's home, she had fallen asleep on his shoulder on the way. Not wanting to wake her up, he picked her up 'princess style'. He knocked softly. The door opened to reveal a man, her father he presumed. "Hello sir, may I come in and set your daughter in her bed?", Tom asked. Her father moved out the way and let Tom enter with his daughter in Tom's arms. Their house on the inside was warm and it had a comfortable feel to it, it felt like a home should. Carrying her up the stairs to the last door on the left, he didn't know if it was her room and no one told him but he had a feeling that this was the room. He opened the door to reveal a dark room filled with what seemed to be grimoires and candles, weird bottled things and a bed. The room had a big window that the moon shown through. It gave the room a sort of mysterious ambience. He laid her down in her bed. He kissed her forehead and said, "I'm so glad you came". Janna answered him, "I'm so glad they invited me". "So you weren't asleep at all?", Tom asked her. She only responded with a, "No, I was asleep but woke up when ypu picked me up, and being carried by a demon sounded like fun". Tom knew she was teasing but he also knew it was true.
Janna sat up in her bed, put her arms around his neck and pulled him in closer. She then kissed him. His skin was cold but their kiss burned with passion. It tasted of marshmallows with a hint of Sulphur to her, "Damn, I missed that flavor", she said. After she broke their kiss she said, "Tom, the next time you wanna hang out just ask me yourself". Tom told her that he hadn't asked to invite her and that he didn't know that she was there untill she whispered in his ear. It was getting late. With one more kiss, Tom left in a wall of fire spewing from the ground. Janna was tired and excited, she went on another date with the demon, with her demon. Star laid in Marco's arms. They were stuffed, tired and trying to get rid of this feeling. Star lifted her head to look at Marco, "You know Toffee hasn't been in my dreans lately". Marco was excited, "I'm so happy for you, Star", he said. Marco's face dropped a little, he then said to Star, "Come to think of it, Ludo hasn't attacked us in a while either". Star looked a bit confused, she was thinking about it, "You're right, maybe he's given up". Marco scoffed before saying, "He's not smart enough to give up, I bet he's just plotting his next 'big' attack". A yawning Star agreed to her boyfriend's statement. "You should sleep", Marco said as he was stroking her hair. Star laid down her head on his chest and not long after she fell asleep. Marco smiled but couldn't seem to get rid of the growing feeling of that something was going to happen. He took his sleeping princess' hand in his, this made him calm down a bit, enough for him to be able to fall asleep.
~In Star's dream ~
This time she was on Mewni and it seemed like a normal day. The citizens were shopping and doing what it was that they were doing. The children played in the streets. A few monsters were chased away. Star smiled. A familiar voice cut through the peaceful land. It sent shivers down her spine. The land of Mewni turned to darkness, it was pitch black. The voice it said, "Give me back what belongs to me and I won't do what I have planned". It was a short but powerful message. When the voice stopped the darkness faded to reveal a almost post-apocalyptic world, everything was broken, burning or crumbling. The air was clouded with smoke coming from the burning city. Everyone in the city was running around, screaming. Star couldn't believe the horror that had just befallen her. The insidious voice spoke the last words, almost in a whisper. "But I'll start small",but who knew that those four words would haunt her this much, how would she have known what was coming next.
Star woke up to a Marco hugging, holding and caressing her, he was stroking her back. In her ears he whispered, "You're ok, I'm here. You're ok now, he's gone". She clutched tightly to his clothes. Tears fell from her eyes as if they were storming rivers. Star whispered to Marco what the voice had said, that it wants what is its, that it has a plan and is going to start small, she even told him about the chaotic world of Mewni that she saw. Marco felt uncomfortable but he soothed her nonetheless. Star fell asleep on Marco's chest again. He wanted to tell her, he wanted her to know but he knew she wouldn't be able to handle that right now. Being a burden was not his cup of tea,so he endured. He then thought to himself, "What will happen if I tell her, what will she do? Can I tell her... No, no I can't this is my problem and I can deal with it, besides Star needs me now. How will she feel if the person she needs and counts on the most, suddenly asks her for help amd ultimately burdening her more than she already is". He stressed himself out. He took sleeping Star's hand in his, as he was calming his mind. He knew something was coming, something big. It was all but assured.
At Janna's house she was still laying on the bed, still thinking of those soft cold lips that burn with passion. It was her ecstacy. At that time she was busy drifting off to sleep when the unimaginable happened, in a blink of an eye it was destroyed. There was fire strewn across everything. Janna could only stare at what was the start of something that would be immensely damaging. A frightened Janna picked up her phone and dialed the number, who else was she gonna call? The phone rang and rang and no one picked it up. She called again and again repeatedly untill a female voice answered with a painful heavy breath, "H..Help". The phone got cut off. Who was she gonna call next, what was she gonna do next. She had no idea. The continuous blaring of the sirens snapped Janna put of it. She knew who she had to call. Dialing the number as fast as she can, and then held it to her ear, whispering pleads. The phone rang twice before she heard, "Janna, what... what is it, it's like half past three in the morning", the sleepy voice said. Janna was panicked and her voice was shaky, "Listen, there's a big problem and you should come quick, like right now actually". A frown grew on his face, what could ve so urgent that Janna would call him at a time like this?
