The B squad slowly made their way towards the Youth Center, they weren't really sure why as the place wasn't even open. It had taken the brunt of the underworld's fury and it was nothing but a burned out shell. Fortunately no one was injured in the attack but the building itself had been condemned by the city. They turned the corner just in time to see a wrecking ball smash its way through the side of the building. A few more blows later and the popular hangout for teenagers had been reduced to a pile of rubble.

Just then the teens saw someone walk around the corner with a large box in his arms. They almost didn't recognise him in a pair of baggy blue jeans and red t-shirt but the brown hair was a dead giveaway. Nick's eyes widened when he saw B squad and he immediately turned around and starting walking the other way.

"Hey Nick wait up", Syd called out. The squad ran to catch up with the red mystic ranger who was moving quickly across the park. He tried to move through the trees but the teens split up and succeeded in boxing him in. Seeing that he had nowhere to go, he sighed and put his box down on the floor.

"Are you avoiding us?" JJ stated with annoyance.

"It's not that", Nick began, he rubbed the back of his neck and looked towards the ground, "I'm just a bit embarrassed, our last meeting didn't end well". He quickly looked over each of the rangers before continuing, "Also you have 5 police officers looking for you, who wouldn't be freaked out?".

"I get that", Lina replied, "but we need to help each other out", the other rangers nodded in agreement. Nick bit his lip as he thought about his response. He didn't get to deliver it though as several Quantrons appeared in the park and surrounded the group.

"Man not these guys again", Z grumbled.

"Get out of here", Nick cried, "you don't know what you're dealing with".

"Oh trust me, we do", Syd replied as she prepared to fight.

"We can take care of ourselves", Z stated before kicking a Quantron in the gut. She followed that up by jamming a stick into its chest, shorting out the robots circuits. The other SPD rangers also jumped into battle against the Quantron's, quickly morphing.

Nick admired their bravery and resourcefulness as he decapitated a Quantron with a roundhouse kick. He leap off the trunk of a nearby tree and flipped over a pair of footsoldiers. Using the momentary confusion he grabbed a branch and smashed the robots in the chest, disabling them instantly. He turned around and saw that the SPD rangers were beginning to struggle against the Quantron's. Flipping the top of his morpher open he called out, "Magical Source Mystic Force", in a flash of red light he morphed and summoned his Sword.

Backed into a corner, the former rangers were relieved when the red ranger came to their assistance. He moved quickly, slicing through Quantron with his weapon as he went.

Suddenly they saw three Quantron sneaking up on the red ranger with their blades ready to strike. Instinctively Z took a shot at the nearest Quantron. The blast slammed into its chest compartment and the robot collapsed to the ground. Syd and JJ leapt into the air and drop kicked the remaining two robots, knocking them to the ground Bridge and Lina then opened fire into the creatures, permanently disabling then.

Nick glanced around and realised how close he had been to getting cut down. Stabbing the last Quantron in the stomach, he turned around to face the rangers, "Thank you, I owe you one", he said before powering down.

"Maybe, but why are Quantron's here?" Lina asked.

Nick sighed, "Come on " Nick pulled the rangers along, towards a tree, in a flash of coloured light the group disappeared from the park.

The B squad stood in Root core

"What brings you back out here?"

"There's a few things we need you to take a look at."

Lina removed the leather satchel from her shoulder, opening it to produce the pictogram sketch, and the two plates dug up from Darkwater's field. Upon seeing the different symbols, Claire and Udonna's eyes widened. She then turned to the mystic rangers.

"Everyone...if you could allow SPD and me some privacy. We have important matters to discuss."

The Mystic rangers looked at each other, whispered a few words, then all turned and left the courtyard. After they had all left, Udonna turned back to B squad.

"Do you know what language this is?" She said.

"No idea, Boom said it was Sumerian language."

"Yes, well, they were close. But this particular language predates even Sumer."

"What do you mean? What societies existed before that?"

"There is much of history that has been lost to time. Human civilization goes much farther back than you think."

"Farther back? How far?"

"Rangers...you may not be aware of this, but there was once a small landmass near the middle of the Indian Ocean, roughly the size of our own fair Isle. The city of R'yleh."

Udonna twirled her hands a bit, A map appeared as the table top flipped ofer, depicting the Indian Ocean and some surrounding lands.

"If the records I read about this land are correct, it existed from the 15th to the 5th millennium BC. After that, some unknown catastrophe occurred, causing the kingdom to crumble and sink beneath the waves."

Udonna moved her hands about again, showing B squad drawings and accounts of R'yleh.

"And after that..."

"...the few survivors from Ilt-n'un managed to head north to what you would call the Mesopotamian region, where they set up a new civilization around the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. That new society Gozerian became what we both know as ancient Sumer."

Udonna clasped her palms together, as the table top flipped again. The rangers could hardly believe the history lesson she had just received.

"How do you know all this, Udonna?"

"I am very old, i have studied lot and that information was something I found recorded onto a scroll. Shame the whole thing went up in flames, there were things in there that even I never got around to reading."

"Well, I suppose that sheds light on the origin of this language. But what do these things say?"

Udonna looked at the gold and silver plates, then the sketch, all placed neatly on the ground. She grimaced.

"That sketch of yours, it says 'suspended in the heavens, above'. The ancient Greeks had a word that meant something similar, metéora."

"And what about these plates? What do these words say?"

Udonna looked at her feet.

"What do they say, Udonna?"

"Those aren't words on those plates, Rangers. They're prime numbers. On the gold plate, from left to right, are the numbers 11, 829, 127, 2269, and 53. On the silver, from left to right, the numbers are 419, 3833, and 1693."

"What...why prime numbers? And why those numbers, specifically? What are these plates for, Udonna?"

"Beacons."

Bridge furrowed his brow at the count.

"Beacons? As in, for signaling?"

"Yes, Bridge"

Udonna stretched her arms and yawned. But it looked odd, as though she was just faking it.

"I'm sorry Rangers, as i said I'm very old..."

She turned away from the rangers, beginning to walk off.

"Udonna, wait! I need to know where these things came from! Who built them?"

The witch stopped moving, as she looked straight ahead.

"Rangers, who built them?!"

Without turning to look at them, she answered.

"No human did either, for that matter."

There was a few seconds of silence.

"If I were you, Rangers, If I would destroy those plates, and that sketch. For the Earth's sake. You don't want those things hanging around this area for too long."

She cleared her throat.

"I'm sorry, Rangers If you'll excuse me..."

B Sqaud watched Udonna go join her rangers.

" We will leave them here for you" Bridge said.

Standing at her bedroom window, looking over the ocean, Udonna could see the sky. It was partly cloudy that night, glimpses of stars peeking through the small gaps in the clouds. Down below, in the main town area, slept the citizens of Briarwood. It was very quiet, with only the sound of the wind blowing through the trees and rustling their leaves.

Holding the two plates, one in each hand, Udonna let her magic flow through her hands and into the objects. They each took on a crystallized, brittle apearance. Then, they collapsed, crumbling into small crystals. Udonna dissolved each little crystal until nothing was left but bits of frost. The queen then took the pictogram sketch in her hands, and repeated the process.

As she watched the tiny, tiny crystals get carried away by the wind, she reflected on her meeting with the SPD rangers words ringing in her head.

Meanwhile the B Squad rangers knew there were things Udonna wasn't telling them, things that made them uncomfortable to even think about.

The rangers felt frustrated. They was still left without any answers, only more questions.
