It is now nightfall. The sunset has all but disappeared. A police cruiser slows to a stop in front of a lone hut along a stretch of coast. Crash & Coco emerge from the rear seats and close the door. Coco thanks the driver, Officer Mybalzich, for driving them the long distance from the police precinct to their newly rebuilt house. "No problem, you two stay out of trouble!" said the officer. She simply replied, "Will do."

The two marsupial bandicoots enter the house when Coco begins reflecting on their impromptu adventure. "Wow Crash, what an eventful day big guy. It was a we- wait!" She cuts herself off to count the amount of days since she met him while recalling the series of events. "One, two… not even a week – only 4 days. It felt much longer. Either way, if someone would have told me a week ago that I would have my own house and share it with someone caring, as well as getting my now former boss arrested after getting fired, and getting almost locked away twice, I would have been skeptical. But, here I am in one piece, alive, and safe, all thanks to you Crash!"

She gives him a firm hug before continuing. "More importantly, you care about me, just like a-" She pauses and suddenly recalls Grabvin's question about them being siblings before resuming. "A brother?" She couldn't believe it; they began as total strangers, why would she refer to him as a brother? She ends her speech by correcting herself. "Yeah, a brother from another mother." As Coco hugs Crash, he begins to write on the ashy floor in front of the chimney with a long stick. Some seconds pass by when he taps her shoulder as a way of saying: "read what I wrote on the floor behind you". She turns around and begins reading out loud his message.

COCO YU R LIK THE SISTER HOO CAREZ ABOUT ME WHEN NO 1 ELS DOZ. YU R AWESUME. THANK YOU!

As she finishes, her eyes widen with glee at his sentence. She tightens her hug and blissfully expresses her gratitude. "Awwww thanks Crash." She paused and rolled her eyes; she still felt a bit odd at referring to him as a brother. "Thanks big brother!"

That is when Coco and Crash yawns one after another unexpectedly. "Oh my Crash!" Coco began. "I guess it's time to hit the hay. Ok mister, your room is there while mine is that one. Good night big brother." The two marsupial bandicoots head into their respective rooms and promptly fall fast asleep after Coco turns out the lights. Within a minute, both sleep soundly through the night like logs after all the events they experienced.

For each of them, everything about their lives has changed. However, the most important change is that the two have a deep reverence towards each other. One compliments the other and vice-versa. To them, they are family that was formed by sticking together through tough times in an ad-hoc manner.
