As the sun began to set over Hyrule, Ghirahim stood atop the Dueling Peaks, watching the view. His master, the spirit of Demise, hovered in mid-air next to him, his legs/feet fading in and out of existance.

Within hours, the world would begin to change and Demise would be restored to life once more, even if he was mostly incomplete due to the fact his spirit had reincarnated as another being known as Ganon.

Either way, a new era would dawn and Hyrule would be crushed, twisted and corrupted to a shadow of its old glory.

"Look how colorful the sky is when dusk falls." The Demon Lord chuckled, conjuring up his twin samurai swords and twirling them about in his hands.

"When sunrise approaches, it is more prettier than dusk." Demise rumbled, "And when the Blood Moon rises to its peak as midnight falls, the sky turning blood red is the most incredible sight in Hyrule for me.

"The Blood Moon is the key, that's why my powers return and I have been returning to power again. Ah, if that green one hadn't beaten me years ago, things would be so different..."

"We all know that you'd be ruling the world forever, master."

"But what would I be calling the land under my dominion?"

"We will come up with a name for it when we burn everything."

"I'm not calling it Underule or Darkrule or Post-Apocolypse Hyrule, so thank you my loyal spirit of the sword. You have done Demise many favors. Continue to serve my will and you will be rewarded in the new world."

Unaware of the apocolypse and the return of an ancient overlord, Link and Zelda sat atop Sheikah Hateno Tower, watching the orange and golden sunset happen far off.

It was amazing, a happy couple watching a sunset, especially before they headed down to the village to have their dinner date.

"This is pure beauty at its finest, Link." Zelda sighed happily, "I just love this, that sunset is so amazing like all the others. You know what else is just incredible? Lush green grass, the stars and a shiny moon."

"Yeah, a demonic-lookin' moon stinks real bad." Link nodded, "By stink, I mean it sucks. And when I say suck, I mean its stupid."

"We know, Link."

"Uh, what do you mean by… 'We?'"

Zelda pinched Link on the arm, "Forget about this fourth wall, Link. Whats important is, today was really good. Um, did I tell you about my encounter with the ghost of one of my past selves earlier today?"

"What, seriously? You met another Zelda."

"Seriously, I met Skyloft me."

"You actually did meet your ancestor's ghost?"

"Yup, all of it is absolutely true!"

"Prove it then, Zelda! I'm havin' serious doubts."

"*Giggle* Ok, hero. When Skyloft Zelda's ghost appears again, you talk to her and we'll prove that I am not joking at all about what I am talking about. Now, how about we go down to Hateno and have dinner?"

"Finally, change of subject. Good idea, Zel. I'm starvin'."

"Grrrrr!" Demise growled, casting aside the binoculars he'd been using to spy on Link and Zelda from afar, "True young love. Peh, disgusting! I can't wait to see their own ends at my hands do them part."

Ghirahim chuckled, "But master, wouldn't it be thrilling to at least give these lovebirds the chance to be together forever no matter what in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or worse. Just look at them, they've made the perfect couple for years."

Demise glared at him.

"Just a suggestion, master!" Ghirahim held up his hands in surrender, "I don't mean to anger you. Heh heh!"

Demise shrugged it off and looked towards the horizon over the vast ocean far away where a bright red light was glowing, signaling that the moon was bleeding, rising as the infamous Blood Moon which would ressurect the fallen beasts who'd served Ganon.

"No matter." The ancient feind growled, "Night has fallen, the stars shine and," he drew his sword and pointed it at the sky as his transparent ghostly form darkened and flickered, "THE BLOOD MOON RISES!"

"OH, glorious day." Ghirahim sang.

"WATCH OUT HYRULE, THE DEMON KING OF OLD RETURNS. PREPARE TO BE DESTROYED AND PREPARE TO ENDURE AN ETERNITY OF MY REIGN..."

"Uh, master? The whole world may hear you, you're losing us the element of surprise and people may prepare for our return."

Demise ignored his cautious servant, cackling villainously into the night, his laugh ignored by many people who believed it was just the wind, failing to realize it was the night of the Blood Moon once again.

Speaking of the Bad Moon, the red colored giant rock, glowing with energy, had now appeared in the sky over the ocean and was now rising higher.

Thanks to Demise's powers, the Blood Moon's power and size was starting to grow …
