Chapter 7:

When I woke it was around 11:00am, and Blake was already out of the bed. I quickly washed my face and put my contact in before making my downstairs. I didn't see any of the guys downstairs, just Addison.

"Callie! Let's get brunch!" Addison said, hugging me. I hugged her back when I saw Nessa running towards me.

"Yes! It's your last day in Los Angeles!" She cried hugging me. I hugged her tightly and released her.

"I'll come back and visit again, I promise. As for brunch," I said looking towards Addison.

"I'm starving," I said with a smile.

"Let me get dressed," I said, turning back around and up the stairs. I quickly changed into faded ripped blue jeans with a gray deep v-neck crop top. I slipped on some white vans and hurried back downstairs. Addison and Nessa were already in the car when I was outside. I got into the car and Addison pulled out of the driveway.

"The boys are working out and will meet us later," Addison said, as Nessa began to play some music. I just nodded and kept my eyes on my phone. We finally got to the Saddle Ranch and made our way to our table. We ordered some appetizers, drinks and our meals before Addison began to get down to business.

"Okay tell us what happened?" She said leaning over the table closer to me. I chewed on a bread roll before answering.

"What do you mean," I asked, keeping my focus on the bread roll. I looked up as Nessa took the bread roll out of my hands and began biting into it.

"The game last night Cal, what happened?" Nessa said, through a bite of bread.

"Nothing happened, it was a game," I answered, taking another roll from the basket

"Then what is that on your neck?" Addison questioned with a raised eyebrow. I brought a hand to my neck and felt a bruise on my neck. I blushed and took a sip of water before answering.

"We thought you might have wanted proof," I finally got out. Her eyebrow stayed lifted for a second more before biting into a bread roll. Thankfully our food finally came, and all our attention went to the food.

"Hello pretty ladies," a voice called out. Bryce came up behind Addison and gave a kiss on the cheek and then took a seat next to me. He gave me a kiss on the cheek before digging into our food. Josh pulled up a chair next to Nessa and all the other boys pulled up more chairs and began eating the food.

"Heathens, all of you," I said pointing a bread roll at each and everyone of the boys. They each gave me a smile when I got to them and I just laughed. I looked over at Blake and he smiled at me and I quickly brought my head down, looking at my plate. I avoided eye contact with Blake the rest of the brunch.

"I'll be right back," I said as the waiter set the check on the table. I stood up, grabbed my purse and made my way to the bathroom. Right as I opened the door, I felt a strong hand grip my waist and push me into the bathroom.

"Hey-" I began to say but a hand covered my mouth before I could say anything else. I looked up to see Blake. He brought his index finger to his lips to signal for me to stay quiet as he locked the door. I pushed his hand away from my mouth and pushed him away.

"Okay, I deserved that," he said rubbing his chest.

"What do you want?" I asked, my back turned away from him.

"You haven't said anything to me all day. You've barely even looked at me," he began to say. I turned around to watch him lean his back against the door.

"That doesn't answer my question Blake," I replied, folding my arms over my chest. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong?" He asked, pushing himself off the wall. I shook my head and then looked up to the ceiling. I focused on the chandelier and the yellow tiling. I felt his hand wrap around mine and I looked back down to meet his gaze.

"Don't," I softly said, pulling him away from me.

"I'm sorry about last night," he said, which was the last straw for me.

"So am I," I replied and pushed past him to the door. I reached for the door lock, but he pressed his hand against the door to keep it from opening.

"That's not what I meant," he whispered in my ear which sent a chill down my spine.

"Blake, it doesn't matter what you meant, okay," I said, more to the door and him.

"Callie, come on," he spoke softly.

"Um, I'll go out first. People shouldn't see us together," I quickly said, hoping to keep my tears from falling. He finally dropped his hand from the door, and I walked out. I wiped a tear away and walked over to the car and hopped in.

"Where were you?" Nessa said, turning around to look at me.

"There was a long line for the bathroom," I said with a smile. It was around 2:30 when we finally got back to the house. The girls wanted to go swimming so we quickly changed and went back to the pool. We were all laying down when there was a yell from the balcony.

"Cannon ball!" Jaden yelled as he jumped. Water splashed on us and we all started to laugh. Soon all the other boys had jumped in, ruining the peace and quiet that we were having. As soon as Blake walked out in his neon green trunks, I knew that if I stayed there I wouldn't be able to stop staring.

"I gotta get ready to leave," I said, hastily grabbing my phone and shoes and quickly pushing past him. I ran up the stairs and closed the door to Blake's door. I leaned against the door and took a deep breath. When I finally managed to steady my breathing, I grabbed my suitcase and placed it on the middle of the floor. I went into the bathroom and rinsed off and changed into a pair of leggings and my NYU hoodie. I walked out the bathroom door right as Blake walked into the room. I froze in place as he stared at me. He looked down at my suitcase then back up at me.

"What are you doing?" He asked, taking a step towards me. I blinked for a few more seconds before I brought my attention back to packing.

"Packing," was all I said. Most of my clothes were already in my suitcase which made it easier to pack. I placed my bathing suits and shoes into the bag, I made my way back to the bathroom and grabbed my makeup and toothbrush. As I walked out, I ran into his firm chest.

"Blake, get out of the way," I spoke, looking down at my feet.

"Not until we talk," he replied, lifting my chin to look at him.

"There's nothing to talk about" I asked, turning my face to the side. Still in my way, I put my hand on his chest and pushed him aside and walked over to my suitcase.

"Come on Callie, something's bothering you," he spoke letting out an exasperated sigh.

"It doesn't matter Blake. I'm leaving anyway," I responded, placing more items into my suitcase. Silence filled the room as I finally zipped up my suitcase. I stood up and grabbed the handle of the suitcase and began moving towards the door.

"At least let me help you carry this down," he said, reaching over to grab the handle.

"Don't...just don't," was all I managed to get out. He grabbed my suitcase anyway and began walking down the stairs. I reluctantly followed him down the stairs. I had a taxi already waiting outside.

"Bryce! I'm leaving!" I shouted from the bottom step. Bryce came running towards me and picked me off the ground hugging me. I tightly wrapped my arms around him.

"I'm gonna miss you little sister," he said, still holding onto me.

"Me too B, but I have to go. I've got classes to go to," I said, tightening my grip on him.

"I know I know. Go be all smart with your books and textbooks," he answered, giving me one more squeeze before letting me go.

"School awaits," I replied while rolling my eyes.

"I'll tell the rest of the boys that you say goodbye Cal," He said. I nodded, and gave him one more hug before walking out the door. Blake was outside placing my suitcase in the cab. He looked up at me and gave me a sad smile.

"Thanks," I whispered, opening the door. Before I could get in, he grabbed my elbow, turning me around.

"Are we really gonna leave it like this?" He asked softly, still holding onto my arm. I looked up at him slowly. I gave him a sad smile and released my arm from his hand.

"Bye," I said quietly and got into the back seat. I heard a sigh come out of his mouth before shutting my door. I looked straight ahead because I couldn't stand to turn back and look at Blakes face.
