Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics
Ch 07: Life
Shinsou and Kaminari left their apartment in the city, deciding to stay with Kirishima and Bakugou to help the pregnant omega however they could as the pups started to grow. Midoriya and Todoroki took care of all the arrangements for renovating the lake house, Kirishima and Shinsou joining them almost every weekend to check on the progress of the rebuild. The Alphas worked themselves to the bone, helping the contractors with carpentry and masonry work, Todoroki and Kirishima pitching in as well, assisting with fixing the electric and plumbing, cutting down costs by volunteering labor.
They worked together, stripping up the damaged hardwood floors throughout the old house and replacing them with glossy cherry wood that gave the entire house a warm glow. The windows were repaired, the rooms repainted, and once the house was ready to move into they combined their furniture from both of their households and created a shared space together. It felt like both of their old homes, and yet something entirely brand new.
Shinsou and Midoriya tamed the overgrown grasses surrounding the house, cutting through briar bushes and ripping up strangling vines, clearing away the land and leaving Kirishima and Todoroki to plant the new garden, Kaminari and Bakugou watching from the nearby patio. The blonde omega was round enough now he could barely move on his own, Kaminari small but strong enough to help him around wherever he needed to go, always content to curl up against Bakugou and give attention to his restless pups.
The house and the surrounding property gradually became exactly as they had dreamed it could be, and after a week of relaxing following months of hard work, Bakugou's water broke.
Todoroki and Kaminari helped him deliver, Midoriya pacing outside anxiously, Shinsou and Kirishima watching from the patio, waiting to hear those tiny, telltale cries.
It was quiet for a while, then eventually Todoroki emerged, padding across the plush grass and smiling up at his mate, his eyes shining in the lantern light.
"A girl." Todoroki whispered, "Your first."
He held out the bundle in his arms, Midoriya carefully taking the tiny infant from him, Todoroki watching him carefully, making certain Midoriya wasn't going to pass out. The Alpha was in awe, transfixed. "She's so small…"
The baby scrunched up her face, letting out a few small sounds before going quiet again, Midoriya's eyes wide with wonder. Todoroki smiled, stepping back, glancing to Kirishima before disappearing inside again. The beta stepped gradually closer, barely breathing as he whispered gently, "Can I hold her too?"
It wasn't long before Todoroki returned, holding another small bundle, Kirishima perking his ears towards the fussy pup and reaching out instinctively, Midoriya still holding his baby girl carefully against his chest.
"Oh wow he's-" Kirishima laughed as the baby wailed and kicked, trying to wriggle out of his swaddling, "Jeez tough guy! Settle down. You're okay now. Shh…"
Shinsou stepped closer, sniffing the air, humming and eyeing the fussy pup. "He's an Alpha, guaranteed. We always end up being the rowdiest pups." He met Midoriya's eyes, smiling softly. "Congratulations."
Midoriya laughed and tilted his ears towards Shinsou, smiling wide and blushing a bit. "Thank you, Toshi. Having another Alpha here...it really, really helps."
Shinsou nodded, perking his ears towards the door, frowning a little. "I'm going to go check in. You two have everything handled here?"
Midoriya nodded, Kirishima resting the crying pup against his shoulder and patting his back gently, trying to quiet him down so he could rest. Shinsou stepped into the house, padding down the long corridor leading to the kitchen, then turned and peeked into the bathroom, finding a dark pool of blood on the floor. He frowned and growled in the back of this throat, sniffing the air, following the scent of copper to the back yard, padding closer to Todoroki's side, asking hesitantly, "Katsuki?"
Todoroki was quiet, nodding towards the trees nearby, Kaminari huddled beside the distraught omega, rubbing his shoulder gently. Shinsou made his way over to them slowly, letting his scent fill the air, Bakugou hunching over and sobbing harder as he approached, Kaminari backing away just a bit so Shinsou could crouch down beside them.
"They're twins." He said brokenly, holding the bloody bundle tighter against his chest, wailing softly. "They're twins!"
"Shh…" Shinsou whispered, carefully drawing Bakugou against his side, scooping him up gently so he could cry against his chest, the Alpha settling down in the grass and rocking him slowly, his ears flat.
"You did such a good job, Katsuki." Shinsou whispered, nuzzling at his cheek. "You did everything you were supposed to do. Every moment of every day. There was nothing you should have done differently. It just happens sometimes."
Kaminari sniffed quietly, crooning and pressing close. "It's hard for us, male omegas have the most difficult pregnancies. It's...it's common to miscarry, and even if pups are carried to full term, they're sometimes…"
"Stillborn." Bakugou sobbed, clinging to the pups crushed against his chest. "They're still warm. They're so warm." He looked up, his expression torn, desperate. "What if they're fine? What if they're okay? They're just-" He was already hyperventilating, sobbing so hard he nearly choked. "They're just not breathing-"
"Let me see." Kaminari whispered, tugging at Bakugou's wrist gently. "It's okay, you can trust me. Let me see."
Bakugou whimpered and allowed Kaminari to take the bundle from his arms, watching his movements as Shinsou kept him tucked against his chest, crooning low and deep. Kaminari unfolded the bloody cloth carefully, looking down at the two small pups, leaning in and nosing at them gently, their cheeks, their chests, their small hands. He frowned deeply, pressing his ear over their noses, their mouths, then pulled back and took two of his fingers, rubbing each of the pups in kind, purring softly and sending little vibrations through them, willing them to respond.
Bakugou yelped softly, clawing at Shinsou's arms to go to them, but the Alpha kept him firmly in place. He kept holding him despite his cries, ignoring the way Bakugou's nails cut into his arm, closing his eyes and pressing his face against him, breathing over the faded bondmark Midoriya had left behind. "Shh…"
Kaminari looked up suddenly, calling across the yard, "Shouto! Go get Izuku! Quickly!"
Todoroki paused only for a moment before turning on his heel, running back through the house, Midoriya appearing from within moments later and racing to Bakugou's side.
"I've got him." Shinsou growled softly, fighting to hold the wailing omega, nodding towards Kaminari. "Help Denki."
Kirishima and Todoroki padded over to them slowly, each holding a baby in their arms, Kirishima's eyes wide as he realized what was happening, Todoroki pressing close against his side and watching his friend worriedly.
"What can I do?" Midoriya whispered desperately, following Kaminari's movements with his eyes, a whine trapped tight in his throat. "Tell me what to do."
Kaminari met Midoriya's eyes, his face more stern than Midoriya had ever seen it. "I need you to growl at them."
Midoriya blinked, ducking back his ears, "What?"
"Growl, Izuku! Bark at them! As loud as you possibly can!"
Shinsou growled as well, spurring the other Alpha into action. "Izuku! Do it now!"
"Come with me." Todoroki said quickly, tugging Kirishima away, carrying the pups back to the calm and quiet of the house.
Midoriya watched them go, then once he was certain they were far enough from him they wouldn't be affected, he gathered his breath deep within his chest and let out a thunderous, raging growl. He watched the tiny pups beneath him, frustration and anger and loss rising up inside of him. It was decimating, fierce, the turbulence of his feelings crashing over him like a tidal wave as he snapped his jaw and growled again.
"That's it." Shinsou growled, encouraging him, Bakugou sobbing and clawing at his arms. "You can do it, Izuku. Make them hear you."
Kaminari kept rubbing and purring, doing small compressions, Midoriya hunching over and clawing at the grass, digging up the dirt with his nails. He continued growling louder and fiercer with each moment, snapping his jaw and barking, leaning close enough to brush against Kaminari as he barked again and again.
Suddenly one of the pups responded, squealing and yelping, scrambling to get away, tucking their tiny ears back and wailing, Midoriya's breath catching in his throat. Kaminari quickly scooped the pup up, patting gently at their tiny back, standing up on wobbly knees and rushing towards the house. Midoriya was trembling, reaching down and petting the other pup's chest gently, whining softly, tears pooling in his eyes.
"Don't. Give. Up." Shinsou snarled from behind him, "Wake them up!"
Midoriya growled again, barking and snapping his fangs, pounding his fist against the ground and watching the tears that dripped down his face fall against the tiny, still body beneath him. "Breathe!" He barked, growling and closing his eyes in desperate frustration, "Breathe!"
"Izuku. Izuku!"
He felt hands tugging him back, Kaminari at his side again, the omega reaching down and rubbing the pup's chest quickly, leaning in close to listen for signs of breathing. Todoroki was behind him, wrapping his arms around his mate's neck, Midoriya whimpering and clinging to him, tears pouring down his cheeks.
Kaminari was quiet for a moment longer before nodding quickly and lifting the pup, crawling over to Bakugou and quieting him gently, offering him the pup who whined quietly and nuzzled against Bakugou's throat.
"Oh thank god." Todoroki whispered, Midoriya curling in on himself as he sobbed in relief, Todoroki shushing him gently, holding him close, kissing his flushed cheeks and tangling his fingers in his dark hair.
"You did great, Izuku." Shinsou praised gently, watching Bakugou carefully as he cradled his revived pup, Kaminari laughing and collapsing back on his heels, letting out a sigh of relief.
"They're okay. They're both gonna be okay."
It took a while before any of them had the strength to move. Shinsou carried Bakugou inside, Kaminari trailing tiredly behind them, padding over to sit with Kirishima and checking on the other three pups, Bakugou refusing to let go of the tiny girl pressed against his chest. Her twin was whining softly, pressed close against her older sister and brother, Kirishima watching his mate worriedly before Kaminari spoke.
"It's alright, go with him. We'll take care of the pups."
Kirishima hesitated for a moment longer before nodding and getting to his feet, following after Shinsou as he helped Bakugou into the bathroom, beginning to fill the tub. Midoriya and Todoroki settled down beside Kaminari, Midoriya laying down on the floor next to his pups. He was still still crying softly as he reached out to touch them, trailing his fingers delicately across each one, the older twin he had revived reaching out and clenching her tiny fingers around his thumb, the Alpha sobbing and hiding his face against the soft rug.
"It's okay, baby...shh…" Todoroki crooned gently, watching over him with a tender smile. Kaminari was purring softly, laying down beside the pups as well, reaching up and carding his fingers through Midoriya's hair, closing his eyes and resting in the relative quiet.
Exhausted, each of the packmates took turns showering and changing into clean clothes, Todoroki and Kaminari cleaning up the trails of blood left behind from Bakugou's escape outside, until finally all traces of fear and death were gone.
Soon the house was filled with warm, soothing scents, happy giggles and soft sighs. Kirishima was busy baking in the kitchen, Bakugou resting on the lounge chaise with Kaminari. Todoroki was sprawled out on the floor watching over the pups, Midoriya and Shinsou curled up together on the couch, the smaller Alpha half-asleep as he basked in Shinsou's warmth.
Shinsou was purring loud and deep, Midoriya purring as well, humming as Shinsou nuzzled into his damp hair, huffing softly. "You smell good."
"You too." Midoriya replied sleepily, sighing as Shinsou pet over his chest, enjoying being doted upon. He'd grown closer to the other Alpha over the months they'd spent together rebuilding their shared home, and now it felt as if they had known one another for years, even though they'd only met months before.
Shinsou watched over Midoriya carefully, taking one of his hands and lacing their fingers, nuzzling at his shoulder and neck. "You were amazing out there." He crooned gently. "You breathed life into them. You brought them back to us. You're going to be an amazing father."
Midoriya's breath hitched and he nodded, closing his eyes as he pressed close, Shinsou purring soothingly and kissing his cheek, tilting his face up slowly to give him a kiss. Midoriya made a soft sound against his lips, then kissed him back slowly, sharing his breath and leaning into Shinsou's touch as he wiped away the tears trailing down his flushed cheeks. "Thank you." He whispered, "I couldn't have saved them without you." He sniffed, looking over to find Bakugou and Kaminari, calling gently, "Thank you for everything, Denki. Thank you for knowing what to do. Without you here, we would have lost them both."
Kaminari arched his brow, his expression tender beyond words, Bakugou purring softly against his throat. "I'm so happy it worked. I've never actually seen it happen before. I've read stories about it, about how a sire can call out to his pups to help them find their way back to life, but I had no way of knowing if it was real."
Bakugou hugged him closer, kissing at his neck slowly, whispering, "I love you so much, Denki. I can't believe this happened, I can't believe we got through it…" He lifted up his head, his eyes filled with tears, sniffing and laughing wetly as he said gently, "I want you and Hitoshi to name them. As much as they're ours, they're every bit as much yours too."
Midoriya crooned at Bakugou's words, nodding. "Yeah, yeah I'd like that too." He perked his ears up, looking back at Shinsou with a happy grin. "The names you liked before, do you want to choose those for our twins?"
Todoroki smiled, watching his mate, his fingers petting lightly over the babies sleeping beside him. "Oh how pretty, I liked those names as well." He turned towards the kitchen, calling out to the beta just out of sight, "Kiri! Come here! We're naming the babies!"
Kirishima came trotting in from the kitchen, holding a tray of warm cinnamon rolls and offering them to Kaminari and Bakugou, the omegas sitting up enough to take the tray from his hands and share the sweets between them. Bakugou smiled as he watched his mate settle down beside Todoroki, wrapping his arm around his waist and propping his chin on his shoulder. "Alright, yeah! Let's do this!"
"Toshi?" Kaminari called, nodding and humming as he bit into one of the rolls, warm icing trickling down his chin. "You go first."
Shinsou huffed softly, smiling and nuzzling Midoriya's cheek before saying softly, "I think that, given they're twins, we should name them something that kind of matches. I've always thought that was cute." He thought for a moment, then asked, "Since they're both girls...what about Elise and...Ava?"
Kaminari smiled, nodding and looking to Bakugou for approval. "What do you think?"
"Yes. I think they're beautiful." Bakugou licked icing from his lips slowly, casting his eyes towards the babies resting on the plush rug below. "Which name for which pup?"
Kaminari hummed and let his eyes drift over the girls, replying cheerily, "Well Ava sounds like a big sister name to me, so why don't we name her that..." He gestured to the slightly larger pup first, before motioning to her twin sister. "...and name the younger one Elise!"
Bakugou smiled and laughed, nodding his consent. "I like that. They're both lovely names." He looked to Midoriya, who nodded as well, looking pleased with their decisions.
"Ava and Elise."
Todoroki purred softly, petting over each of the pups in turn, tilting his ears towards the fussy boy that Kirishima had been holding before, scooping him up carefully and shushing him gently, tucking the baby's face carefully into his neck to breathe in his calming scent. "What about this little spitfire, hmm?"
Midoriya and Bakugou exchanged a glance, then they laughed and replied at the same time, "Aidan."
Kirishima grinned at that, "Hey! That's a name I picked out!"
Midoriya laughed softly, nodding and replying candidly, "We liked it the most out of all the other names we'd picked out for boys."
"We thought you'd like it." Bakugou said gently, giving him mate a loving gaze, the beta blushing and grinning, bubbly laughter caught in his throat.
"So that leaves…" Todoroki hummed softly, reaching out and petting the oldest pup, teasing her dark curls with his fingertips. "She looks just like you, Izuku…"
"Delilah." Midoriya whispered, Todoroki looking up with a start, searching his mate's eyes. "That's what you wanted to call a baby girl, isn't it?"
Todoroki nodded slowly, his brow pinched with emotion. "Are you certain?"
"Absolutely." Midoriya purred gently, Todoroki glancing to Bakugou who smiled and nodded his head.
"It's a beautiful name." He said affectionately, holding the beta's eyes. "It suits her perfectly."
Todoroki smiled, laughing and leaning closer, holding Aidan carefully against his neck and kissing Delilah's tiny cheeks. "She's precious. They all are."
They set the pups down beside one another once they were all resting peacefully, from oldest to youngest. Delilah, with dark curls and rosy cheeks, freckles dotted across her fair skin. Aidan, with blonde hair to match his twin sisters, already restless and starting to fuss. Ava, with sparse freckles here and there, a beauty mark on her upper lip and another on the tip of her nose. Elise, her hair just as wild and unruly as her father's, her skin smooth and pale, not a single freckle in sight.
It would be two weeks before they opened their eyes.
Delilah's eyes were deep, dark green, nearly black against her malachite curls. Aidan's eyes were red to match Bakugou's, a vibrant contrast to his fluffy blonde hair. Of the twins, Ava opened her eyes first, revealing a brighter emerald green in comparison to her older sister's eyes. Elise opened her eyes a few days later, her eyes bright green as well, one iris surprisingly highlighted with a streak of brilliant gold.
Todoroki was absolutely infatuated with her.
It wasn't particularly strange that out of all of the pups only one would present as heterochromatic. Todoroki's mutation was rare, he himself knew only a handful of other betas who shared the elusive gene. There were variations within the mutation as well, his two-toned irises reflecting complete heterochromia whereas Elise's irises were sectoral, the pigment only partially altered in her right eye. A splash of gold against emerald green. Todoroki felt as if somehow she held a tiny part of him within her eyes, and though he was not her father by blood he cherished her as if she were his own.
Kirishima was similarly taken with Aidan. The pup was a handful, overly fussy, constantly kicking and crying, rarely sleeping peacefully beside his siblings when they were all bundled up together to rest. Kirishima took the time to walk with him outside almost nightly, rocking him and crooning to soothe him to sleep, pacing around the garden and along the fishing dock, watching the colors change across the water as the skies hinted towards the growing dawn.
Delilah was Shinsou's favorite. He spent a lot of time curled up with her while Midoriya and Bakugou rested, Kaminari playing with Ava nearby and talking to her constantly as if she could already understand his words. They hadn't started trying for pups yet, Kaminari still needed to set an appointment to get his implant removed, but spending time with Bakugou and Midoriya's babies only made them yearn for pups of their own more and more.
When the pups were all sleeping, and the household was quiet, the exhausted adults curled up together to rest and share themselves with one another. In the early hours, between evening and dawn, they soothed one another, lavished affection upon one another, sharing partners and giving themselves to one another again and again, the love and trust between them only growing more and more.
Todoroki loved all of his packmates, but tended to only be intimate with his mate and Kirishima. He would cuddle up with Bakugou to sleep, but hadn't explored much with Kaminari and Shinsou. They were still building trust between them. They still had things to explore.
Midoriya was constantly intimate with Todoroki and Bakugou, in love with them both deeply. With Bakugou recovering from giving birth, and Todoroki typically preoccupied with pups, Midoriya began to explore with Shinsou and Kaminari. They welcomed him with open arms, with Todoroki's full consent and Bakugou's blessing. They hadn't yet ventured beyond wandering hands and kissing, but Midoriya was open to experiencing more.
Kirishima had fallen head over heels for Todoroki the moment his best friend had expressed interest in exploring their feelings in further depth, the betas quickly realizing they were unequivocally meant for one another, inexplicably so. They spent their alone time pressed close together, sharing breath and melting together into bliss, Kirishima memorizing every aspect of Todoroki's body, teasing him, worshiping him, giving him what he needed again and again. Todoroki couldn't get enough of it, never satisfied, always craving more. They had loved one another platonically for years, and now that their dynamic had shifted they had endless possibilities to share together, countless pleasures to enjoy.
Bakugou was happy to see his mate and Todoroki together, so thankful that Kirishima had found someone special to share his love with too. Kaminari meant everything to him, from best friend to lover, a mirror to the feelings that Kirishima held for Todoroki.
Bakugou shared his heart freely, gladly and with complete trust. He offered up everything, confessing every unspoken word he had been too afraid to say before, opening up and letting down his guard, giving himself to the small omega in entirety. They talked for hours and hours about nothing and everything, until they knew one another inside and out. Every aspect of one another, every thought, every breath. They accepted one another without hesitation, protected one another fiercely and sheltered one another's hearts. They loved one another unconditionally. Bakugou was blessed, eternally thankful to have Kaminari at his side to help him raise his pups.
Shinsou watched over his mate and Bakugou with adoration, his affection for the other omega steadily beginning to grow. He felt his attraction towards Midoriya growing as well, spending time with the younger Alpha whenever he could, holding hands and sharing slow kisses with him in the dark.
Kaminari was eager as always to share himself with those he loved, and he and Shinsou talked openly about their burgeoning feelings; the way Kaminari felt when he was with Bakugou, the way Shinsou felt for Bakugou and Midoriya both. Shinsou cared for Kirishima as well, though it was a gentle, comforting feeling instead of hungry, insatiable lust. They were never intimate together without Bakugou and Kaminari present, but when the four of them were alone together they were a voracious, ravenous wildfire.
When Todoroki and Midoriya were added into the mix, the six of them were in perfect harmony, messy and raw and somehow entirely in sync with one another's wants and needs. What they couldn't glean from one partner they found in another, the combination of all of them together thoroughly sating and fulfilling each and every want and need. They took care of one another. They loved one another. They'd never been happier in their lives.
The seasons changed, the pups grew, and Kaminari and Shinsou enthusiastically started trying to get pregnant.
Bakugou received an implant similar to the one Kaminari had carried before. He wasn't ready to have more pups. Perhaps one day his feelings would change, and he would have his implant removed, but for now he was content with his life. Raising his four pups with his mate, his sire, and his packmates proved to be more fulfilling than he could have ever imagined. Every moment he shared with them he cherished. There was nothing he could want more.
As summer faded into autumn and the weather began to change, the pack banded together to try and help Kaminari and Shinsou, supporting them however they could. Todoroki and Bakugou went with the small omega to his fertility clinic visits and support meetings, Kirishima and Midoriya cuddling up with him afterwards and bringing him his favorite foods, watching movies together before drifting off to sleep.
Kaminari tried not to let it show, but he was desperate for pups, and after several months of trying with no success, he was starting to struggle with his mental and emotional health. No matter what his packmates tried, it wasn't enough. It wasn't what he truly longed for.
Shinsou was at a loss. They knew it would be difficult to get pregnant. Kaminari had researched it extensively. They'd known going into things it would likely be a long time before they were successful, they'd discussed it many times even before they'd decided to actually try for pups. Being unable to do anything to give his mate what he desired tore Shinsou apart. One night, after weeks of quiet deliberation, Shinsou approached the pack with an idea.
He wanted Midoriya to spend his approaching rut with Kaminari.
-x-x-x-
Midoriya inhaled softly, his face turning red. He blinked, one of his ears tilting to the side, his eyes drifting from Shinsou to his mate, Todoroki looking shocked as well. He searched Midoriya's eyes, then looked over at Shinsou while stating hesitantly, "I personally do not have any objections, but I am concerned that you may be asking Izuku to do this out of desperation, and I do not want you to regret making this decision." He bit his lip, holding Shinsou's gaze, ducking his ears a bit. "I know that, for me personally, having my mate sire pups with someone else was…" He paused, trying to choose the right words before continuing, "It was hard for me to accept at first. It made me doubt myself, made me feel inadequate and insecure." He looked to Bakugou next, Kirishima pressed close to his mate's side, Ava and Elise asleep together against the quiet omega's chest. "I understand that things are different in this circumstance, what happened between Midoriya and Bakugou was unexpected whereas this would be planned, but still…"
Shinsou was quiet for a while, looking over at his mate, Kaminari whispering quietly to Delilah as she babbled and held onto his fingers, the small omega cooing and grinning down at her with a bright smile. He sensed his mate's gaze, looking up and meeting Shinsou's eyes, then sighed shakily and perked his ears towards Todoroki, saying softly, "I can definitely say that both of us are struggling with ourselves right now. I for one am having body dysmorphia, and am trying my hardest not to let this shatter my self-image." He arched his brow a bit, looking up at his mate. "Both of us feel that this might be our fault, trying to find the reason why, trying to understand what we're doing wrong. We wonder about various things. It's possible that perhaps I am too small and my body cannot handle it, or perhaps Shinsou's ruts are too irregular to truly sync up with my heats, when I'm most fertile and have the highest probability to accept his spurs." He shook his head slowly, returning his attention to the pup in his arms again. "Whatever it is, if there's a way to seed life within me, we both want to try." He closed his eyes, taking a shaky breath, "I do not ask this of you lightly. I know it isn't something you've considered before, and if you were to decide you do not wish for this, then we both will understand. Nothing will change between us."
"We care about you both." Shinsou said gently, his voice deep and low. "We love you, and cherish our friendship. We would never ask anything of you that you do not genuinely want." He held Todoroki's eyes for a moment longer before looking to Midoriya, adding softly, "Regardless of your decision, we will keep trying for pups. It's what Denki wants, and what I want for him. Even if I am not his sire, his pups will be my own."
Midoriya was quiet still, considering the implications and consequences of his actions. Should he agree to this, and he was successfully able to seed Kaminari, it would mean an unbreakable bond between him and Kaminari for the rest of their lives, including Todoroki and Shinsou. He arched his brow, letting out a soft amused laugh, closing his eyes and taking a deep, calming breath. It would be no different than the bond he shared with Bakugou and Kirishima. They were already planning on spending their lives together as packmates. He shouldn't have any apprehension, he shouldn't hold any fear.
He opened his eyes and looked over at his mate, Todoroki preoccupied for the moment with entertaining Aidan, who had finally started fussing noisily in his arms. He watched Todoroki, taking in the way he carefully lifted the pup against his shoulder and patted at his back, bouncing him lightly until his cries quieted and he was resting against Todoroki's shoulder quietly, his bright red eyes drifting across the room.
The pups were so tiny. So precious.
He wanted to create more of them. He wanted to give Kaminari pups. If one day Bakugou decided he wanted more pups as well, Midoriya would happily give the omega what he asked for. It was his most basic instinct, a feral want within him he would never be able to quiet.
He wanted to give the omegas he cared about pups.
"Shouto?" He asked gently, needing reassurance from his mate, needing Todoroki to give him permission once more.
The beta looked up and offered him a smile, perking his ears up as well. "Is this what you want to do?"
Midoriya hesitated for the briefest of moments before nodding. "If you're certain it's alright."
Todoroki hummed and nodded, refocusing on Aidan, a knowing smile across his lips. "It's alright with me. We're a family. We're meant to share our lives together." He nuzzled the pup he was holding, adding in a tender tone, "There's plenty of room in this house for our pack to continue to grow."
Kaminari's breath hitched and Midoriya turned to focus on him, the small omega hunched over Delilah and crying quietly, Shinsou leaning closer and rubbing his back gently. Midoriya pushed himself to his feet, padding over to Kaminari and kneeling down beside him, Shinsou gently taking the tiny pup from his sobbing mate and allowing Midoriya to comfort him, watching the other Alpha with a grateful smile. Midoriya tugged Kaminari into his arms carefully, settling down beside Shinsou and crooning soft and low, Shinsou purring and leaning down to rest against Midoriya's crown, inhaling against his curls, Kaminari hiding his face against his chest.
Midoriya's rut would hit within the next few days.
There was no real way of knowing if he would be as successful with Kaminari as he had been with Bakugou, but he was determined to try to fulfill the omega's needs to the best of his abilities. He would do whatever he possibly could to give the bubbly, sweet omega what he had asked for. Kaminari was always, always taking care of everyone else. Midoriya wanted to do this for him, and for Shinsou.
Despite not knowing what would happen during his next rut, a part of Midoriya was giddy with excitement. He felt hopeful, calm and sure. All he could do was trust his instincts, and believe.
Thanks for reading! More to come!
