~Recap from Part 6~
Unknown to him though, Faith was never taken to the police station. Instead, she ended up in an unknown location. She awakens and finds herself tied up in a chair. She was in a dark room with only one lamp. Out of the darkness, her captor steps into the light causing her to gasp as she realizes who it was.
~Part 7~
Faith stirred from her slumber. Her eyes fluttered opened only to be met by darkness. As her eyes adjusted, she realized that she could not move. She was tied to a chair. She struggled against the ropes trying to break free, but it was in vain. She was stuck. She looked around hoping to see something that would shed light on her situation. The last thing she remembered was being arrested by the police and being driven away in the police car. After getting into the car, she must've blacked out because she didn't remember anything else.
Suddenly, a burst o f light caused Faith to flinch and shut her eyes. She could hear footsteps walking towards her. Finally, she forced her eyes opened. There was a hanging lamp that had been turned on and revealed her immediate surroundings. It seems she was in some sort of warehouse. Out of the darkness, her captor steps into the light causing her to gasp as she realizes who it was.
It was a young boy. No older than ten. He had mousy brown hair, pale white skin, and grey eyes.
{Character is based off Gabriel Hayward from Person of Interest, /eDDKJNYlWK8}
"Who are you?" Faith asked.
"My name is Adam." The boy replied with a young accent. "Or, you may know me as Gaia, Mother Earth, Nature."
"What?" Faith asked in confusion.
"Well," The boy stepped towards her. He had an arrogant smirk on his face. "I am the personification of Nature. You know, the phenomena that dictates the laws and forces that govern this world."
"But…"
"But what? It doesn't make sense?" Adam cut Faith off. "You would think that after all that you've seen, vampires, werewolves, hybrids, etc. etc. Mother Nature would just be another add on to the list."
He circled around her as he spoke, gesturing with his hands to demonstrate his point. All the while, he examined her. In turn, Faith watched the young boy as he moved.
"No." Adam stopped to face her again. "What doesn't make sense here is you."
"Faith Jacobson." His words dripped with dislike.
The surprise must have shown on Faith's face because his next words addressed it.
"Yes, I know all about you Faith. I know you come from another world. I know you don't belong in this world."
"How–" Faith tried to ask but was once again cut off by Adam.
"You see, every now and then, one of you pesky beings would enter my domain. What's the word they call you nowadays? Interdimensional beings."
"So, when someone like you comes into my world, it glitches up the system." Adam continued. "This is where I come in. Nature has to correct the glitch and so it finds someone like me to do so. I am Nature's vessel or avatar you could say. I am the epitome of nature encompassing all its characteristics."
"Why are you telling me these?" Faith asked skeptically.
Again, Adam stepped to take a closer look at her.
"I was curious." He stated simply. "I wanted to learn from your ways and ensure this never happens again." His serious eyes looking into hers, daring her to do something about it.
"And boy did I learn a lot from you." He stepped back and paced in front of her. "Do you know how hard it was to correct your mistakes? Balancing things out…trading lives for lives…Finn, Kol, even that April Young girl. All because you had to interfere. I had to take care of the abnormalities you caused."
"At least with the witches, I could somehow control those abominations you call Originals." He spit the word out as it was something rotten.
Inside, Faith burned with anger. How dare he insult them?! She had a bad feeling about him from the start and now that feeling worsened as she realized that it was him who prevented her from saving lives.
"But you…congratulations, you're Nature's glitch. A glitch in the system. An annoying thorn in my side." He accused her sarcastically.
For a moment, there was silence. Then Adam turned to his men.
"Take her away."

Elijah's POV
Elijah felt restless, a sick feeling in the stomach. The last time he felt this way was when Faith had disappeared, presumably to betray them.
But now he knew that wasn't the case and he wondered if maybe something bad could have happened to Faith.
Faith.
The name still brought up feelings of melancholy in him. Even worst now that the truth had come up.
Coming back to Mystic Fall certainly didn't help. It was late springtime in Mystic Fall. Everything was blooming life. However, Elijah did not feel full of life at all. In fact, he felt quite the opposite. It felt like winter to him. He felt like everything had died inside him.
By chance, he had come across Faith and had confronted her about her "betrayal". It was then that a confused Faith told him that she had done nothing of that sort. Wanting to get to the truth of the matter, he brought her before Niklaus to face the truth.
Words were exchanged, angers flared and it was then that an angry Niklaus confessed. He had lied about Faith betraying them.
The moment the truth was revealed, Elijah's heart sunk.
He had been angry at Faith for so long that he did not know how to feel.
Yesterday, he had arrived back in town. He had not seen her since and knew that coming back to town, he would have to face her.
If he was being honest though, he was ashamed to face Faith. He was still wrestling with the truth and deciding about what to do when he caught sight of the house.
He stood in front of the Mikaelson house and knocked on the door. Seconds later, the door opened revealing his brother, Niklaus.
Now was not the time to think about Faith. He had a decision to make between his brother and sister about the cure.
He stepped into the house leaving thoughts of Faith at the door.

Faith's POV
She licked her dry lips. How many days has it been? She can't even remember the last time she'd had some food or water. She could feel the dryness in her throat.
After Adam's confession, she had been locked away in a room with no window. At first, she had studied her surroundings, trying to find a way to escape. Unfortunately, there was nothing she could do. In the end, without food or water, her body weakened. Feeling lethargic, she spent most of her time asleep on the cold, concrete floor. In fact, she had been sleeping just moments ago before being awoken.
There were noises outside her room. They drew closer and closer until the doors of her room opened. The boy Adam stepped in.
"Hello Faith." He greeted her then signalled the men behind him to drag Faith out of the room.
"Where are we going?" Faith managed to ask in a raspy voice. They had brought her into a hanger with a plane.
"New Orleans."

After Elijah's conversation with Klaus and Rebekah, he inquires about Faith as an afterthought. Klaus answers that Faith had been arrested and taken to jail for murder. Rebekah looks at him scornfully before correcting him. According to Rebekah, Faith had not been arrested. There has been no one arrested for murder in Mystic Falls. Instead, according to the Mystic Falls gang, Faith had been missing for a week now. Klaus realizes his mistake. He had been so caught up in the Silas business and being angry at Faith that he had not checked up on her at all. Shock fell on both brothers' faces as they realize Faith could be in trouble.

{Some of the lines here are from the movie "The Old Guard"}
Faith and Adam are sitting face to face in a cargo plane heading for New Orleans. It was a 3-4 hour flight and in that time, Adam had revealed why they were heading there. It turns out that there was something about the land there that would aid Adam in sending her back or getting rid of her. In his words, he hasn't quite decided. Moreover, New Orleans was a power hub, a gathering place of power for his witches. They will be the one to help experiment with ways in getting rid of Faith without harming the TVD world.
After that revelation, Faith fiddled the cross pendant on her bracelet quietly. She closes her eyes and bows her head.
"Are you praying?" Adam says with a laugh.
"Yes." Faith answered meekly.
"God doesn't exist."
"My God does." Faith insists firmly.
Adam was not moved. He dismissed her words and mocks her for her faith.
"You know, there was a time when I was worshiped as a god." He tells her smugly.
A sudden turbulence caused the plane to shake.
Adam pretends to be shock and says, "Was that him?"
Faith gave him an annoyed look.
"I don't believe in God. It's illogical. But you know what," Adam says. "You should just keep following that illogic. You're already on board with the supernatural."

Epigraph:
O how fast would you come running
If just to shadow me through the night
In New Orleans, Faith is subjected to cruel and painful torture as they experimented on ways to send her back to her world.
In the meantime, Elijah and Klaus had started searching for her separately. The trail finally led Elijah to Faith.
Elijah finds Faith in the basement dungeon. Faith's arms were tied over her head and hanged from the ceiling. She obviously looked like she had been tortured. He immediately cuts her down and cradles her in his arms. Faith looks up at him, touches his cheek, and says to him, "I knew you would come."
What got Faith through all the torture that she was put through was the hope and trust that Elijah would rescue her. Elijah's blood boiled. He laid Faith gently in a safe place. Then in anger, Elijah kills all the witches involved. He brings Faith back to Mystic Falls where he personally nurses her.

Elijah's POV
She slept on her side as usual with her feet sticking out of the covers. He looked at her sleeping face and held out a hand to stroke her hair. She stirred a bit which caused him to pause. But she went back to sleeping undisturbed. He withdrew his hand and sat there just watching her dream. She looked so peaceful, so serene. He didn't want anyone or anything to come and take that away from her. Her sleeping face made him feel protective of her. He would not let anyone hurt her again.
It was hard to think that just hours ago she had been struggling between life and death. She had been shivering and her breath had been haggard. Elijah had to snuggle with her, letting his body heat warm her up and covering them both with a blanket. He had wrapped her up tightly in the blanket only the top of her head was showing. It took a while, but her fever finally broke.
And now here he was watching her rest. It gave him feelings of déjà vu as he recalled his first encounter with her. It had been a thousand years since.
There was a soft knock on the door and Rebekah peeked in. Elijah motioned her that it was alright to come in.
Rebekah came in quietly, rested her hand on his shoulders and spoke quietly, "How is she?"
"Better." Elijah responded.
"I still can't believe we almost lost her."
Like Elijah, Rebekah had found out the truth about Niklaus' lies. That Faith had never really betrayed them.
Elijah leaned forward and buried his face in his hands.
"All this time…and she never did betray us." Elijah's voice started to break as remorse filled him. "I failed her."
Rebekah's eyes start to tear up as well. "We all did."
Before long, Rebekah exited the room leaving Elijah to his thoughts.
Sorry
One word communicated it all. He did give any excuses or explanations. Just one word. One word to convey all his regrets and shame. Of how he'd hurt her. Of how he'd failed her.

Sometime after Faith recovers, Bonnie meets up with her. Bonnie tells her about the plans to put up the veil again and that it could actually affect Faith. Piecing together the clues from Bonnie's research and what Adam had revealed to Faith, it turns out Faith's ancestor had come to the TVD world before. The power that Qetsiyah drew upon to create the Other Side had actually come from her ancestor. As such, Faith couldn't really die in the TVD world because she didn't belong there. When Faith was "killed" by Esther a thousand years ago, Faith had ended up being trapped in the Other Side instead. If Bonnie puts the veil back, she can change it a bit so instead of being trapped on the Other Side, Faith would return to her world. But there would be consequences. The TVD could move forward as if Faith never existed or it could be something worst. Bonnie doesn't know.
Conversation between Faith and Bonnie could go something like this:
Bonnie talking about how she figured out how she can put back the veil to the Other Side.
"That's great!" Faith says.
"There's just one thing…" Bonnie hesitates.
"What is it?" Faith asks worriedly.
"You might not make it."
