While Chopper was treating Luffy, Sanji gathered everyone to ponder on the marine's movement. He reminded those who stayed in the ship to distance them but signaled Nami to stay in her place.
Sanji narrated their side of the story and fears that marines may have planted the virus in all of them while they were unconscious. Then Sanji looked worriedly at Nami which she shook her head and said it was her fault too.
Sanji has an inkling that marine's strategy is to weaken them first, observe from afar then finally subdue them when most of them are infected. He could see the government taking the advantage and blaming anything under their name.
Jinbei agreed. He told Sanji that the marine ships they fought seemed staged. Marines were not chasing them at all.
Sanji warned them to stay vigilant. Luffy, Zoro, Nami and him will be isolated for everyone's safety and trust Jinbei of his decisions as an ex-captain.
"Cook, stop! Don't kill Luffy yet. We can decide tomorrow and hear Luffy on this. He'll be up in no time."
"Yes, I know but let me remind everyone that half of us should be isolated. That would mean more responsibilities to others. A well-maintained ship is a result of good management. Starting today is better than waiting."
"Is there a need for isolation? We can wear masks. We can continue doing our thing."
"We can't afford to relax! Old habits die hard. We have already involved Nami and there could be the same incidents in the future." Sanji raised his voice.
"That's why we have masks, right?!" Zoro raised his voice too.
"We can never tell! An idiot like you can slip his finger inside the mask because it's damn itchy. I have almost done that and I had difficulty breathing from this." and points to mask.
"It's called discipline! It's not like I didn't experience it?!" and points to his mask too.
Zoro and Sanji are again in each other's neck but this time, in a serious matter. Nami stopped them before things went deeper. She suggested listening to Chopper who is more expert in the field.
It was difficult for Chopper to give his opinion and it felt like he was choosing a side. Each side has pros and cons and wouldn't guarantee its effectiveness against spread. It always depends on how careful and disciplined the person is. Knowing their personalities, Chopper could see that Luffy is the only person who would not be comfortable in any of these precautions.
Chopper massaged his temple as he told his side. He requested, however, to have them all test for covid the next 4 days. They'll decide what's best after the test results are out. Until then, It's their call to go in isolation or wear a mask.
Sanji decides to isolate himself and entrusted the Log Pose to Jinbei. Then, Sanji apologized to everyone for overstepping and volunteered to take care of Luffy.
Zoro decided to do his thing while Nami isolated herself in her room. Chopper transferred Luffy to infirmary and have Sanji treated there too. Usopp became the temporary cook with Sanji's instructions through the infirmary window.
