Hello! Chapter fifteen! I hope you guys like it!
(Also mini self-promotion here, but if you would like to know, I have two other fics running right now that are also FNAF. One of them is called A Brother's Promise, and the other is The Broken Angel and Her Salvaged Sinner. A.B.P is in the same universe as this one, and T.D.O.S.A.A.L along with A.B.P will eventually blend together later on. So if you would like to get to know Colt before he cameo's here, go ahead and check it out! T.B.A.A.H.S.S is not in the same universe as those two, and it is in a bit of a different situation then I have these two. Idk if those who read these are interested in a Springtrap redemption arc, but that's what that one is. So if you are interested feel free to check it out! (Also thank you so much if you read through all that.))
Onto reviews...
SilentAmbiance: Thank you! I'm certainly glad I could! I feel like I'm slowly nailing down each of their personalities and I'm super glad about this! And aw, thank you. Also yeah...now with three of them going on...it is difficult, but I enjoy being able to bounce between the differences in each of them.
Boss Teal: Oh no worries at all! Thank you so much for the review! You guys have no idea how much your reviews and support mean to me! And yeah, I totally understand. It seems only recently it has sort of leveled out. But for a few days, I wasn't able to check the traffic stats of my newest chapters. But that seems to have calmed down (yay!). And yeah...tensions are pretty high, that will definitely be seen in this chapter...(also I'm super ready for the expansion as well!)
Anyway, thank you so much if you read all of that! Thank you so much for all the reviews and support! This one is currently my most reviewed story so yay! I hope you guys like the chapter!
I own nothing but my characters.
Spoiled Parents...
It was a Wednesday. Leo had really learned to hate Wednesdays.
For some reason every Wednesday it seemed the entire town got into their head that they needed to come and get pizza. Which meant a very crowded restaurant for Leo.
Now perhaps that was an exaggeration. The whole town did not come to the pizzeria. But it was a lot in comparison to other weekdays.
Though really that wasn't saying much, by packed, the restaurant really only had a few more families than usual.
But to a cripple Leo, a few more families added on work that he really didn't want to do.
Which included breaking up fights between the Anderson's and the Smith's.
The night guard wasn't sure what made them get all riled up every week, but he could guarantee. Every Wednesday the Anderson's would come. Only on Wednesdays. The Smith's however were there every day, and had claimed the table closest to Chica on stage. It was mostly for their daughter, Carrie. She loved Chica the most, and always wore yellow as a result.
The Anderson's little girl, Kaitlyn loved Chica as well, and her parents were rich people with sticks up their #$$#.
Every Wednesday, the parents would get into it about the table, and Leo would have to step in. It always ended up being where Kaitlyn's family got the table.
What? They were really tall people.
He also helped the Smith's realize that they got the table every other day.
However the fighting continued...every Wednesday.
So, Leo had a deep dislike for Wednesday's as a result.
He was currently scrolling through the cameras, smoking in his office when he noticed the two families getting into it once more. With a deep breath he put out the cigarette in the ashtray and hobbled out of the room and into the dining room. The other staff was already working around the families, giving them a wide berth. Leo couldn't even count on Jamie for this one. The young waiter had disappeared into the kitchens.
"Andersons...Smiths, do we really have to do this again?" Leo asked as he hobbled over, they turned to look at him, and Kelly, Kelly Smith. She looked like a regular house mom, with mousy brown hair tied up in a messy bun, reading glasses. Mom jeans and a solid blue top.
"Leo! Thank goodness, you won't believe the attitude of these people! They came in and started demanding that we move! As if they own the table!" She threw out her hands in exasperation. Leo took a breath and rubbed his forehead tiredly.
"Carl...Linda, you can't demand tables from people. This is a restaurant where you can seat yourselves. You have not reserved the table and that isn't even an option here." he said calmly, but Carl didn't seem to care.
"Well maybe you should put that in place! We pay you all here! The least you can do is reserve a table for us next to our daughters favorite robot!" He protested loudly, catching the attention of the other patrons.
"Sir, we are paid by salary, not by you. And can you please calm down? This is a family establishment." The guard did his best to stay calm, but he was tired and had a headache forming.
"Don't tell my husband to calm down you, good for nothing child!" Linda screeched stepping closer causing Leo to hobble back. For a woman she was very tall.
"Ma'am I'm going to have to ask you to calm down as well." He countered gazing up at her and taking a deep breath. And as per usual, as he fought it out with the Andersons. The Smiths were happily eating their pizza.
Yeah thanks for the support guys.
"I think you are the one who needs to calm down! Or better yet, leave this family establishment you druggie!" At that Leo jumped a bit blinking at Carl.
"What?" That was unusual, never had a customer commented on that.
"Oh please! Like we can't smell the weed on you! For being in a so-called family establishment you are a terrible role model! And our little Kaitlyn has a sensitive nose! She can't stand to be around you or she will start having terrible coughing fits!" Linda said, but more like complained, and as if rehearsed, Kaitlyn started giving little pathetic coughs.
"Excuse me ma'am, but I make sure to never smoke around the children."
"Well you shouldn't be smoking at all! What are you...like twelve? How did you even get this job!?" At that from Carl, Leo grit his teeth.
"I am twenty six, and I got this job like anyone would get any job...sir." He grit, and took a hard breath. The last thing he needed to do was lose his temper and then lose his job.
"Don't take that tone with me! Young people these days! All the same, always disrespecting their elders!" The man continued, and Leo took a deep breath resisting rolling his eyes. Elder, yeah right, the guy was probably at most three years older than him.
"I wouldn't say you are my elder sir, and it's quite rude to generalize an entire age group." He tried to keep his voice as calm as possible.
But he stumbled back a bit as Carl advanced, "are you correcting me!?" He demanded, and Leo swallowed a bit. Something must've happened to the guy, he was normally not this aggressive.
"Sir, please calm down."
"What kind of security guard are you anyways!? You are like a tiny little stick! I could snap you in half! Not to mention anyone who actually wanted to do harm! What could you possibly do huh?!" the man challenged advancing forward, Leo stumbled back again, only to hit a table and stare up at the man.
"Sir, stop threatening me and calm down." He ordered trying to keep his voice even, as he stared up at the man who was getting far too threatening for Leo's comfort.
"Don't tell me to calm down you little #$#! I'm so tired of lowlife's like you ordering me around! I run a multimillion dollar company! I could have this place flattened if I wanted to!" Leo froze up as the man grabbed his tie.
# $#...he'd forgotten how much he hated the neck ties.
"Sir. Let me go." He ordered, but his voice trembled slightly, the man was...so big…
The next moment Leo thought he was having a seizure as the man before him flickered between a normal person to a completely blackened silhouette.
Nearly panicking, the guard scrambled back as much as he could, he only had one way to go and it was blocked by the table.
"Sir let me go! This is a family establishment! Don't do this in front of your daughter!" He tried, whilst also trying to pry the man's hand off his tie.
"Shut the #$# up!" He shouted and Leo flinched.
"I think he asked you to let him go." The deep and familiar voice made Leo freeze. But Carl didn't recognize the voice and whipped around to face the source.
"The # this doesn't involve you..." He argued only to trail off as he came face to face with none other than Freddy, and in their stage positions, Chica and Bonnie were behind the bear.
Leo had a mini heart attack.
The man seemed to as well, as he let go of Leo and jerked away, stumbling back and staring at them wide eyed.
"Wh...what the...what the #%$# is going on!?" Carl demanded pushing his wife behind him. Leo swallowed and loosened his tie. His eyes flickered around the room. Everyone was staring, everyone knew.
"G...guys what the #$%$ are you doing?" He hissed looking around at everyone who stood in stunned silence.
"Leo are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Chica asked, coming over and the guard couldn't help but feel his face heat up.
"I'm fine." He hissed out, his eyes still flickering around. The parents were putting their excited children behind them. He turned back to the hen bot. "You guys need to get back on your stage now." he ordered.
His heart was pounding in his chest, if the manager came out here and saw this…
"What makes you think you can talk to our guard like that?" Bonnie challenged making Leo look over at where the rabbit and bear still were, they were looming a bit over the clearly terrified man. The children however were blissfully unaware and were staring at the bots in awe.
Good, at least they weren't screaming.
The Smiths seemed both shocked and amused.
Leo hobbled over and got between the bots and the man, which honestly if he was any bigger, he wouldn't have been able to, they were alarmingly close to him. Behind him the man was stuttering for an answer, the bots saw Leo and backed up giving him room.
"Do you need us to take care of this man Leo?" Freddy asked, gazing at the man, and if he were being honest Leo thought about it. He glanced back at Carl who was white and trembling.
"Maybe you should. Teach this rich #%$# a lesson." The guard said feeling emboldened.
Of course it helped that there were three giant animatronics backing him up…
"W...what!?" Carl panicked his eyes going wide and going to the animatronics. Leo felt a smirk pulling at his lips, see how bold the man was now.
The guard felt his hand curl into a fist. He wanted this man scared, he wanted him begging for Leo to stop them.
Leo hated guys like this, guys who would be the ones to spit at him on the streets and then laugh about it. People like this who dumped ice water on his head in the middle of winter telling him to get a job, stop being a bum, and begging.
Even though Leo never begged.
The guard stared at the tall man who seemed to have shrunk, he hated people like him. This man needed to be taught a lesson. Him and all the scum out there. Screaming at those beneath him because he had money to appease the world.
He could feel the anger building within him, like a pressure within his chest, pinching him as he took every breath.
This man...this %#$#$%%^...probably didn't have to worry about the possibility of rats thinking he was a corpse at night. Or that he could one day get fired if anyone found out. Didn't have to get the disappointing looks, and disgusted faces when he couldn't shower and it didn't rain that month. When the bathroom sink didn't cut it and he was left smelling like the garbage can that protected him from the harsh winter winds. He probably didn't shiver at night. Laying on stone and covered by paper-thin blankets. What did this man know of any of that? Throwing a hissy fit over not being able to get the table he wanted. It was pathetic, and it disgusted Leo that there were people like this out there.
As the guard's thoughts continued to spiral he found himself seeing red as he gazed at the sniveling man before him.
Yes. He wanted him punished, he wanted this man to run out of here crying, run home to his mansion too scared to come back.
A slow grin spread over his face at the thought of terrified tears slipping down Carl's stupidly perfect face. The torment of many...many weeks, or months even, coming to an end at the sight of him shaking before Leo.
Grinning, the guard opened his mouth to tell Freddy to just that, take care of this man. Kick him out, make him cry, make him shiver, and snivel until there was only a husk of a man left. Make him feel what Leo felt those nights! The feeling of powerlessness! Of inevitable doom!
"Yes." He said feeling empowered. The man's eyes widened and he stumbled back trembling and looking at the bots.
But even now he tried to be bold.
"W...what? T...these rust b...buckets?" He asked quivering where he stood. Leo's grin dropped and he scowled at the man.
"They are animatronics you %$^%#%$$. Don't you dare call my bots rust buckets." He growled, Leo wasn't sure where...no, that was a lie. He did know where this boldness was coming from. He felt the familiar surges of glee and power within his veins. It's an addictive touch and whispers in his ear. In comparison to cowering...this felt so good. So...right.
As if on command, Freddy advanced toward the man who was pulled away quickly by his wife.
"You know I can sue you! Sue this whole place to the ground! Foreclose it! Then you will all lose your jobs!" Carl shouted, backing up more as Freddy and Chica advanced. Leo was aware that Bonnie was staring at him but he didn't care.
His attention was pulled more so to the man when the word 'sue' exited his mouth.
"Wait!" The guard shouted, his eyes widening as he was grounded back to reality.
%$#%. If they sued then the place would close down, and if the place closed down...what happened to the animatronics?
He didn't want to find out.
At his shout, Freddy and Chica stopped turning to look at him. Leo suddenly found himself acutely aware that he was in the middle of everyone's attention.
"N...nevermind...c...can you go back to the stage…?" He asked quietly, suddenly feeling small with all these eyes on him.
%#%$# ^%#%$ ^%#$# ^%#%$#...
The animatronics looked at him curiously, and then at their surroundings.
"Alright." Freddy agreed before going up on the stage, Bonnie was the last one to go, gazing at Leo a long moment before joining the others.
Leo wasn't sure how he felt about the gaze that the rabbit gave him.
His attention was pulled back to the Andersons as they were quickly leaving the restaurant. Leo bit his lip watching them go.
Just go...just go...don't sue...just go…
All his hopes were dashed when Carl turned around.
"You will be hearing from my lawyers you %#%#%#!" He yelled and then slammed the door on the way out.
Leo stood there before looking around and quickly retreating to his office a sickening pit in his stomach.
What the %%$#% did he just do?
The night guard was burning through his third cigarette. Dreading the summoning of his manager. He was going to be thoroughly scolded, if not fired...if that even really mattered.
This place would close down anyways after being sued.
There was no way that this place, the same place that filled up empty soap bottles to completely empty it of soap. The same place that painted over blood-stained carpet…
There was no way it would survive being sued.
With a groan, Leo ran his hand through his hair taking a deep breath. What had been that back there? What had prompted...that?
"Hey." The sound of Jamie's voice made him look up from under his bangs. The redhead stood in the doorway and offered a sheepish smile. "I heard about what happened there...you alright?"
Leo let out a breath and looked to the ground before him, "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Look, I know it was bad and %$%$# up. But whatever, what happened happened." And now he was going to cause them all to lose their job...great job Leo.
"Hey, look, the guy was a jerk. No one should have to put up with that."
"Yeah, well I almost had the animatronics do who knows what to him." Leo countered biting down harder on the cigarette in his mouth. Jamie inhaled air through his teeth and let it out along with letting his shoulders drop.
"Okay yeah, that was a bit excessive. But we all have bad days. Look, c'mon the bots are concerned, I barely managed to convince them to continue on with their show." Jamie came into the room more and stood next to where Leo sat. "They think they messed up."
The guard couldn't help but let out a scoff, "for being sentient machines they can be so dense. Obviously, that situation was my fault." He took a deep breath, "he is gonna sue Jamie...I...I don't know what to do. This place won't make it." Leo let out a hard breath and rubbed his face tiredly.
"Okay...well, if he sues then yeah we have a problem. I don't even know if the whole franchise can take that...which means...they may sell off the animatronics to who knows what company." Jamie concluded with a breath and Leo groaned running his hands up his face and into his hair.
"Ugh! I know...I know..." He took another breath rubbing his face more.
"Okay, okay, just calm down. We can handle this. Obviously, we can't let anyone else get their hands on them. So, we will have to find the money to buy them ourselves." Jamie suggested, and Leo couldn't help but scoff.
"Really? Dude, you do know I live out behind the restaurant right? Where the $^%$ do you think I will be able to get the money to afford giant animatronics?" He demanded, and Jamie let out a breath rubbing his forehead.
"I know...but I doubt the company will just let us keep them. They will want to get every dime they can out of them." At that Leo sighed deeply and nodded.
"I know."
Silence descended between the two of them, only for it to be broken by the sound of animatronic footsteps heading their way. Both turned to look at the doorway to their left, and not moments later, Bonnie's purple ears identified him before he even revealed his face.
The rabbit stuck his head in the room, one paw gripping the doorframe as he balanced himself.
"What's up Bonnie?" Leo asked leaning back in his seat to get a better look at him.
"Uh, place just closed...we just wanted...to see if you were okay." The animatronic muttered, his ears drooping, and eyes shifting to look to the side.
"Did the others put you up to checking on me?" Leo asked, raising an eyebrow. Bonnie looked down and shrugged.
"Kinda, you seemed mad." At that Leo sighed and rubbed his face.
"I'm not mad at you guys. I'm angry with that stupid man." He countered, and the rabbit nodded, stepping into the room a bit more.
"That's what I thought. The others just wanted to make sure." He came in more and leaned against the wall, Leo winced a bit hearing the slight groan.
"...ah, well, um, since the place is closed...I best be heading out huh?" Jamie said, and then added a nervous laugh that made Leo look over. The waiter was gazing at Bonnie apprehensively. And honestly, Leo couldn't really blame him, he still had some problems with the rabbit, and he was around them way more than Jamie was. The redhead had only recently even discovered that they could speak on their own as well.
"Yeah, I'll see you later Jamie." Leo dismissed knowingly. The redhead nodded gratefully and slipped out the door opposite to Bonnie.
"Leo?" The voice of the animatronic made him turn toward him. Bonnie was looking to the side again, thinking, before he turned back to Leo. "What did that man mean when he said he was going to sue?"
Leo paused and wetted his lips a moment taking a deep breath, "...he would charge the company money for what happened here. Likely saying he was under duress." He explained, before glancing up at the bunny. There was silence for a few long moments.
"But he wasn't attacked." The hare stated, staring at Leo with his head tilted.
"Well yeah, but he was a jerk, so he is going to sue anyway." The guard let out a breath and rubbed his face tiredly.
His eyes flickered up at the sight of Bonnie shifting from foot to foot.
"What? What is it?" He asked, the hare looked up at him and mocked a breath.
"Well...if he sues...what happens to us?" At the question, Leo hesitated a moment, before he took a deep breath.
"It will be fine. I promise I won't let anything happen to you guys. Now go join the others, I'll be out in a minute. Some of us have to be out there to greet the mechanic and her lunatic friend." The rabbit hesitated a moment before nodding and heading out of the room. Leo watched him go and took a deep breath.
He didn't know how, but he had to figure out how to best help the bots.
Thank you so much for the read!
What did you think of what Leo did...and almost did? How do you think they will be able to keep the animatronics if the place goes underwater? If you had been Leo would you have reacted differently?
I'd love to hear what you think! :)
Thank you to everyone who has followed and favorited this story!
