Jack and Jill IV
Chapter 15
Alexis had given Jayne a quick soft kiss since they hadn't actually kissed all of last night. Sex, for her, was one thing. Kissing was somehow a more intimate moment. A quick peck didn't have the same meaning as a soft and intimate kiss.
Alexis was very carefully walking back to her room that was on the same floor. Alexis took a shower and paid careful attention to her core. She wasn't bleeding thankfully. It was just his cock had stretched her pretty far. Her little pussy just wasn't made to handle his cock. It was little wonder she was sore.
Alexis was dressed and very carefully and slowly made her way to the kitchen to find breakfast. There she was told that the cook had already served her dad his breakfast and that yes, Kate was already in his room.
Alexis was beginning to wonder if Kate actually did sleep on his sofa. She shook that thought away since her dad was clearly happy. "We will likely have a guest for lunch and dinner today so be prepared for that," Alexis advised the cook.
Alexis was done eating and was just sitting there drinking some water mostly because she didn't want to get up when Storm and Jayne walked in. Alexis hid her smile behind her bottle of water. He was still big and full of muscles. He was handsome enough and she didn't mind that he was bald. But she knew exactly what he had in his pants.
She was still watching and drinking as these two ate easily twice what she had for breakfast. "Did they really leave?" Alexis questioned mostly Storm just as he was finishing.
"Most likely. They'll be back and bring others. They have all they need for now but they'll be back. We've only just started," Storm warned her. "Speaking of which I have an errand. I can think of something we might need since we're changing from fighting them to fighting us."
"Us!?" My God what was he thinking now?
"Time to go. You can stay if you want," Storm told Jayne as he got up and started to leave.
"Hold on!" Alexis got up too fast and grimaced from the twinge of pain to chase him down.
"Are you okay?" Jayne hadn't thought to ask if he had hurt her last night. That was the last thing he had wanted to do. It was just that her pussy was nice and tight.
"I'm fine." Alexis kept walking. "Wait up!" Alexis got him to stop. "What did you mean us?"
"Jack and Jill are very advanced alien technology. After these other countries we try and get to join us learn about these two they might want them for themselves. Hell, Alexis, there are people in our country that are going to think that this technology is in better hands if those hands are theirs instead of a pair of civilians.
"Some general, colonel or some senator. At first they may argue their case that Jack and Jill be taken from Rick and Kate. When that doesn't work they'll find someone who has a team to come and take them.
"For now we need to be ready for when that happens. The next try might be when they're asked to fly to Berlin or Budapest or Johannesburg. But we have time to plan for that day," Storm told her.
"You really do live in a different world, don't you?" Alexis still didn't understand him any.
"I live in the real world. You live in this penthouse far away from people you know nothing about and don't understand!" Storm sighed. He didn't mean for it to sound like that. "Alexis, you called me because you know things aren't going to be that simple.
"You know our planet's history. Tell me how many dictators have we had in our history? How many spies are out there? CIA, KGB, and others. I fight for our side. There are others just like me that fight for a different side.
"You called me so let me do my job," Storm pleaded with her.
"Sorry." Alexis knew he had a point.
"I like your thinking, Alexis, I really do. But there are enough people out there that think the opposite that you do that we need to be ready for and that's what I'm going to do." Storm risked it and leaned in to kiss her forehead.
"You do what you do and I'll do what I do. I may be gone most of the day. You still have Jayne if someone gets stupid. I trust him." Storm left her and went to his room first before going downstairs and leaving.
Alexis felt Jayne next to her without even looking. "Did I hurt you?" he asked softly even though he didn't see anyone.
Alexis grinned and turned her head to look at him. "No, I enjoyed it. It's just been a while and you're maybe a little too big for me."
"We do only what you're comfortable with doing. I won't force myself on you," Jayne assured her.
"You're sweet. I may be in your room again tonight and I may not. I'm a little sore at the moment. Storm fears someone may come to try and take Jack and Jill from Dad and Kate." If Storm hadn't warned him she was now.
"He's not wrong. Once he's gone I'll be walking around fully armed. I know you hate your little weapon but you might want to consider keeping it with you all the time. Once more people know about all this the worse it's going to get till they actually show up and real combat begins.
"You should go find Kate and tell her the same thing." Jayne rubbed her arm and headed to his room to retrieve all of his weapons and start carrying them around. He needed to get used to doing this.
Alexis knocked and opened the door but didn't see either her dad or Kate so she went toward the bathroom. The door was open and she saw her dad naked in the shower. Kate was just as naked and she was washing him. "Oops!" Alexis retreated quickly.
"I can tell Kate later. OH, HELL!" So that answered that question. She just asked herself why she had to find out this way instead of simply asking delicately.
oOo
They were all in the living room which was getting a lot more use of late.
Alexis answered her phone. "Yes?"
"I have a woman named Lanie Parrish down here."
"Send her up, please." Alexis ended the call. "Your friend is here for lunch at least," Alexis told Kate.
"I'll get her." Kate got up, kissed Rick, and left to go downstairs and wait for Lanie to show up.
"You really like her," Alexis stated and studied her dad.
"I do. She's still hurting but she's extraordinary. I think you can stop worrying about her, Alexis," Rick said.
"That's not going to happen, Dad. You're the only family I have left, Storm not withstanding. So I'm going to worry. I can't help it." Alexis had no intention of stopping.
oOo
"Hi, Lanie. Thanks for coming." Kate knew she didn't have to and couldn't just remain angry at her forever.
"I'm still mad at you. After the things you yelled at me I think I deserve to be. Then you went out, got yourself arrested, and thrown in jail." Lanie shook her head.
Kate reached out to get the elevator door to open back up since it was closing and Lanie was still in the elevator. She hadn't moved an inch yet.
"I know and I'm still sorry. My excuse might seem weak and maybe it is. But things have changed. Please?" Kate stepped aside and held the door open so Lanie could come out.
Lanie stepped out. The place was very nice and a little expensive looking. She still didn't know who Rick was. She saw him in a wheelchair and he was using a thing at his chin to move it so she knew that much. Yet he also somehow had this thing called Jack and Kate had Jill. She still didn't know too much about them, either.
"Everyone is one floor up so follow me." Kate knew her way around pretty well now.
Kate stepped out and Lanie followed her. She made it almost two steps into the living room before stopping dead in her tracks. "HOLY SHIT!" This room with its walls of windows, twenty-five foot ceiling, and lots and lots of marble screamed money and not just a little money. A shit load of money.
"Nice, isn't it?" Kate hadn't till recently spent much time in this room. Suddenly of late it was the go-to room. Then Jayne walked past them drinking a Coke. He had a big weapon in one hand and a hand gun at his side; he walked to the windows and looked out.
Alexis showed up and grinned a little as Lanie gawked at this room. "Doctor Parrish, welcome."
This room wasn't meant to be comfortable and endearing and make guests feel at home. It was meant to impress and was meant to scream that the owner was rich. And her dad was certainly rich.
"Please join us. Can I get you something?" Alexis was being the hostess like she had been ever since her dad had had his accident.
"Vodka, in a really tall glass." Lanie was still gawking at this room.
"Wine it is. I'll open a bottle for all of us." Alexis left her and went to the wine room to find a bottle and five glasses.
"Come on, Lanie, we don't bite. Even Jayne isn't here to shoot you." Kate led her over to a chair that was right next to Rick. "You know Rick, or Richard Castle."
"I… Hi." Lanie more fell into her chair than sat in it. "Forgive me, but your chair says quadriplegic yet you're moving an arm…or both." Rick had just moved the other one.
"I was and may someday be again," Rick confirmed.
"Please don't say that," Kate begged. "There has to be a way." Lanie heard something there but said nothing.
"I was in a skydiving accident. I hit something and broke it and it also broke me. Then Jack came along and has been repairing the damage. I can move everything now, I just don't have the muscle mass any longer to do much or for too long," Rick explained and even moved his foot before sliding it back in place.
"For the record someone came really early this morning or so I was told and collected both bodies. I wasn't there because I'm off today. He said they were placed in portable cold storage units. He said military so I'm guessing that's fine." She hadn't been there to tray and stop them.
"Probably is." Rick was expecting she wouldn't get to keep them.
"They took all my notes, recordings, and all my samples. Except for what I scanned and put into the computer, I now have nothing," Lanie warned them.
"It's out of our hands anyway." What happened wasn't up to them.
"Wine." Alexis offered empty glasses for everyone to take including Jayne, then opened the bottle, and began pouring. Rick wasn't sure just how long he was going to be able to hold his glass so he started drinking his immediately.
Lanie looked at Kate. "How did you come to be way up here in this amazing place?"
"I was out on parole and if I wanted to stay out I either needed a job or showed that I was looking for one. My PO sent me here about a janitor's position. I ended up here looking for a signature," Kate said.
Alexis picked up the explanation. "Dad had fired Dennis and we were interviewing possible replacements for the job. Dad needed everything done for him. He couldn't move or feel anything from the neck down. I argued against Kate but Dad hired her anyway."
"I required a Life Auxiliary and Alexis was trying but none of them were even worth the time to interview them." Rick picked up after that.
"I liked that one guy," Alexis mentioned.
"Please!" Rick rolled his eyes and Kate snorted out a laugh. She had somehow unintentionally taught him that. "Anyway, in walked Kate and she was none of those people. She was different."
"She was totally unqualified," Alexis pointed out.
"Hey! I think I'm doing pretty well, thank you very much." Kate took exception to that statement. "I may not have been the greatest at it at the start, but I got better. At least until I found out I had to give him a swirly." Kate used her finger to simulate a tiny tornado.
Now that had Lanie laughing her ass off. "Kate Beckett cleaning out his—"
Kate stopped her right there. "Don't say it! In fact we're never talking about this ever again!"
Jayne was still here. "I'm telling Storm!"
"You do and I'll shoot you. So help me I'll shoot you. What did I do with that weapon he gave me?" Kate looked around then remembered she left both of them in their bedroom.
"You can stop laughing now, Lanie." She was still laughing.
"Sorry, sorry. …Swirly." God, she loved that term. She was going to use that word all the time now.
"LANIE! …Anyway, I stayed and got better at it. Then along came this alien that I hit with the car and I ended up with Jack and Jill and you know most everything else." Kate ended the story.
"Real live, dead aliens. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better, isn't it?" Lanie asked.
"If my grandfather is correct, it's going to get a lot worse and that's even before this enemy fleet shows up," Alexis said.
Jayne interjected himself into the conversation. "Storm is right. Sadly he's always right. Jack and Jill are a technology that we haven't even dreamed about yet. Someone somewhere or a number of someones, is going to want them. Either to take them apart and figure out how they work or get them to be the biggest thief since Stéphane Breitwieser."
"Who?" Lanie queried since she had never heard that name.
"Stéphane Breitwieser robbed nearly two hundred museums, amassed a collection of treasures worth more than $1.4 billion, and became perhaps the most prolific art thief in history.
"Or perhaps you prefer Natwarlal. Originally a lawyer by trade, Mithilesh Kumar Srivastava - better known as Natwarlal - was an Indian con man that developed over fifty aliases, creating a whole host of novel ways to cheat industrialists out of money.
"Then in 1997 five men robbed the Dunbar Armored facility in Los Angeles, California, of US$18.9 million, which is equivalent to $30.1 million today." Jayne listed a few and got blank looks from everyone.
"I'm not stupid, you know." He went back to looking out the window.
Alexis began grinning. He had muscles, he was black to her white, he was smart, and he had a really big cock. Yeah, maybe even as sore as she was she would be in his room again tonight. Right after she went out shopping for condoms that would fit him. She was too young to be pregnant. Last night had been risk enough.
"Lunch! I'll get Cook to bring out lunch to the dining room table." Alexis needed her attention off Jayne so she stood up, grimaced a little, and walked very carefully yet again. Kate tilted her head and watched her walk away.
She was walking funny. Only Kate knew that walk and that realization had her opening her eyes wide. She had walked like that after her first time with Rick. She had adapted to his size since then. So just who had Alexis had sex with last night?
Kate tried to think this through. "I know that look. What are you thinking, Kate?" Lanie had spotted her.
"ME! Nothing, nothing at all. We're going to need another bottle." Kate was up and hurrying to the wine storage room.
As far as Lanie was concerned Kate was showing signs of the same old Kate. She was deflecting so she didn't have to talk and hoped everyone forgot all about it. But Lanie didn't forget anything. She also didn't forget what Kate had yelled at her that had ended them.
oOo
Alexis and the cook brought out lunch so everyone sat down and Kate set the new open bottle down as well. "This looks really nice. What exactly is it?" Lanie looked it over.
"I'm no chef and I didn't think to ask, but if I had to guess I'd say some form of crab salad. It's likely that she cracked the legs herself and dug out all the meat just for this meal. You think this is something, wait till dinner!" Alexis smiled and her dimples showed.
"She's probably been itching to show off ever since Kate got here. Those Intelligence officers come back and they are in for a treat," Rick added and picked up a fork to feed himself. His only problem was he tired too quickly. Lanie got to witness Kate at work as she fed him and herself. She even tilted the glass of wine so he could drink some.
oOo
After lunch Lanie got the full tour. From what they called the first floor to the fifth floor and out onto the patios. "What in the world is that thing?" Storm's little toy gun was still mounted in the corner of the patio and likely would be for a while yet.
"Storm. He had a helicopter, I think piloted by Jayne brought it in. That fighter we've been talking about attacked us or so we learned after the fact. It did some damage and tried to fly away except Jayne and then Storm put stinger missiles into it and it crashed in downtown Manhattan somewhere.
"The military has probably found it or what's left of it and taken it somewhere. I'm not sure what Storm is up to now. He might simply be paranoid or he might be right. We all questioned him about this beauty. Turned out he was right.
"So maybe he has a plan to deal with people that want to kidnap me and Rick so they can get their hands on Jack and Jill. Unfortunately I've seen what we can do to each other to just discount what he thinks," Kate told her as they both stole peeks at this monstrosity and the view the floor had.
"I'm still sorry about your mother and what that did to your dad," Lanie said quietly.
"Thanks, Lanie. So am I. I never in a million years actually thought I would be all alone and without parents. Everything was going perfectly till suddenly it wasn't and it just kept getting worse." Kate was depressed again and she didn't want to be. She wanted to be past all this. But it and everything else just kept haunting her.
"So did that guy get every penny or just most of it?" Lanie inquired about the man that had sued her and gotten pretty much everything.
"No, he got it all. Every penny Mom left me. Dad was called a suicide and everyone he owed money to took everything he had. I slept where I could. Ate one meal a day till finally my PO ratted me out to the judge and here I am." That was Kate's sad story in a nutshell.
Lanie went back inside and Kate followed. They ended up in Rick's big sitting room.
"Well you look better," Lanie commented.
"Yeah, I feel pretty good. Helping Rick pays amazingly well. More than I ever made as a homicide detective. It's all directly deposited now so I don't see a single check. I go out and buy clothes on occasion, otherwise it just sits there earning a little bit of interest," Kate said.
"Lanie…how are Montgomery and the guys?" She had thrown them all away, too. Made sure none of them ever talked to her again.
"Pretty much the same. Kevin's married now. I don't know if you ever met Jenny. They have a little girl named Sarah Grace. I think Jenny chose the name. Those two are sickeningly sweet together. Honey milk I think is his name now," Lanie told her and Kate roared with laughter.
"Your replacement didn't last long. Now there's another one. A Christopher Barling. He looks like he's sixty something but maybe he just looks old for his age. I know he moves slow. I'm not sure where they dug him up." Lanie wasn't so sure about him. "Oh and I don't know how but he doesn't use a department issued weapon unless they've started issuing really big guns. It doesn't use clips and it has a barrel this long." Lanie used her hands to demonstrate.
"I just know it's big and it looks heavy. I teased Javi that it was a cannon he said something about it had more than six rounds. Didn't know they made anything like that." Lanie shrugged a shoulder.
Now Kate was curious and there were only two people around here that might know. So she was up with Lanie in tow till she found Jayne.
"Sounds like it might be a JANZ Präzisionstechnik JTL-E. Except that only shoots little .22 caliber rounds. Sounds like someone is either lying or exaggerating. It's a really big gun but a .22 frequently just hurts a little," Jayne said.
