Chapter 6: Dragon Prince Ash

Back at the island, Ash and Marnie are sitting besides Insey, who hasn't waken up ever since the time in the Pinwheel Forest. Delia walks into the room and Ash asks, "Mom, will she be okay?"

Delia sighs and she says, "After checking the auras and the pulses of her, I can say that her life isn't in danger. But she won't be the same like before." Delia takes the gem and says, "As you can see, the power inside of the gem sure is drained, which means she has a lot of Bug Type energy inside of her body."

"Then what will happen to her?" Marnie asks. "How would the energy affect her?"

Delia sighs and says, "Don't worry about it, just think of it, maybe it won't be that bad after all..."

Ash asks, "And what do you mean by that? Mom? Why isn't it so bad?"

Delia says, "As you can see, the gems have the power to eliminate half of the world and beings. But now that the energy is absorbed into a person's body, destroying the world would need the approval of Insey to do it."

Ash and Marnie nod and Ash continues, "So what about Insey? What will the power affect her?"

Delia says, "I think that the power will grant her the power..." Delia shivers a little, and then she says, "The power to transform into any Bug Type Pokemon that she wants."

This causes the two to jump in shock. Marnie says, "You mean...she could become as scary as a Beedrill, or as beautiful as a Vivillon?"

"Yes, which is why they have the power to destroy half of the beings." Delia sighs. Ash says, "So do you know when Insey will wake up?"

"I think it should be for a day..." Delia says. "But I want to know, how did Insey absorb the energy inside her?"

"About that, we have no idea, since we were fighting against the Team Rocket member..." Delia nods and then she thinks for a while. "Marnie, how about you try it out?"

Marnie nods and she takes the Dark Gem and holds it, but nothing happened. Marnie asks, "Why didn't it happen to me?"

Ash thinks for a second and says, "Maybe it will happen in specific places, like the Bug Gem was supposed to be in the Pinwheel Forest..."

"I see, so we should find a place which is good for the Dark Gem so that I can absorb this Dark Gem..." Marnie says, but Ash asks, "Marnie? Don't tell me that you are going to absorb the gem's energy as well..."

"Why not? I think it may be cool to be a Pokemon." Marnie says, and Ash just frowns a little. "I know you are worried, but think on the bright side, Giovanni would need not only Insey, he would need my permission to destroy the world as well."

"You're right. That may decrease the risks..." Ash sighs and he says, "But not today, Marnie. Wait until Insey was awake."

Marnie pouts a little and she says, "You are no fun..." Ash then takes out another letter and says, "Marnie, Mom, can you please help me take care of Insey? I think I am going to find another one."

Delia and Marnie nod as they see Ash leave the house.

In the Dragon Village, the people are training with their Dragon Type Pokemon, and Zinnia is staying at a house until the village elder comes. The elder asks, "Dear, what's the matter? Ever since we came back from the Hoenn Region, you have been staying like this for a long time..."

Zinnia sighs and says, "I am sorry to make you worried, grandma. It is just...recently, I have this weird dream, and it has been bothering me."

The Village Elder sits besides her and says, "Zinnia dear, what have you dreamed of? And how does it bother you?"

Zinnia says, "As you can see, I had this weird dream of the fact that I would meet a person known as the Dragon Prince, who would take me to a place where he shows me the other girls, and then...I saw a gem...and when I picked it, I suddenly feel a strange energy and then I changed into a Hydreigon..."

Elder blinks in surprise and then Zinnia asks, "Grandma? What does it mean? Do you know about it?"

Elder says, "I think this Dragon Prince might be the person that you have grown attached to, but you said that he has other girls, how many girls are there, do you know?"

Zinnia thinks for a second and then she says, "I think there are 17 of them...and each one seems to glow as a Pokemon Type...I was the Dragon Type one..."

Elder thinks for a second and says, "I have heard of the Legend, it is about the Infinity Gems, there are 18 kinds of gems and each one represent a type, 18 girls who the chosen one loved will gain the power of the gems and they will protect him from the greatest evil. That is what I have heard from an old legend."

"So does that mean...the Chosen one is having a harem, and I am one of them?" Zinnia asks in confusion. Elder closes her eyes and says, "I don't know. But it might be a prophecy...if worse, this prophecy might even be true after all..."

Just then, they hear a commotion, and they all come out and Elder asks a man, "What's going on here?"

The man says, "Elder, the Druddigon has activated the Outrage mode, it is now rampaging."

"What? We have to calm down the dragon. Where are the others?" Elder asks. The man says, "They are now treating the injured dragons. Nobody was able to take their time out of their hands."

"This is bad..." Elder says as they see the dragon trying to use the Hyper Beam at them. Zinnia yells, "Grandma, watch out!"

Just then, a person jumps in the middle of the attack and it forms a shield to protect the three people. "What the..." The man says.

Then the person touches the Dragon, causing it to calm down and lie down on the floor, as he turns around, Elder and Zinnia are shocked at the person in front of them. "Ash..." Zinnia says in surprise.

Ash turns to them and he says, "Are you guys okay? Did the Druddigon injure you?"

"We are fine." Elder says. "It is a pleasure to have you help us out again, Ash." The Elder says.

"No problem. It sure has been a while, Zinnia." Ash says as Zinnia gives him a hug, she says, "I missed you a lot, Ash."

Ash smiles as he returns the hug, and Pikachu goes to greet the Whismur, Aster. After the greeting, Ash turns to Elder and asks, "By the way, is Iris here as well?"

"Iris is now at the Opelucid Gym, she is training under Drayden." Elder says.

"I see." Ash says, and he notices the jealousy from Zinnia. Ash says, "By the way, Elder, there is something I have to do here, so can I come into the house so we can talk?"

"Why of course, Ash." Elder says as she takes Ash and Zinnia inside the house.

Once they are now inside the house, Ash says, "I know it is sudden for me to visit, but I come for Zinnia." Zinnia blushes a little at the thought that Ash comes for her. Ash turns to Zinnia and says, "By the way, it sure has been a while, Zinnia."

"Indeed. I heard that you have came to my village years ago with a Gym Leader and Iris, but it is a shame that I wasn't there..."

"Yeah." Ash says. "I thought that we can meet back then. But anyways, I am here because I have something to confess."

Elder says, "Is it about the Chosen One's duty? Zinnia here recently has dreams about it."

Ash blinks in surprise and he says, "Then it makes things easier."

Zinnia asks, "So does that mean you really are having a harem? I am one of the girls that has to protect some kind of stones known as the Infinity Gems?"

Ash is caught off guard at the Infinity Gems part, Ash says, "Even though it is true, but I am afraid that you might not like the concept of Harem..."

"I don't deny about it." Zinnia says, "I know that being the Chosen one, there are a lot of girls that will want your heart. I don't mind sharing you with other girls if that is what the dream wants me to do..."

This causes both of them to blush a little and Ash takes out the letter. He says, "You see, after the last meeting, I have wrote this letter. I think it is better that I hand over to you by myself."

Zinnia nods as she opens the letter and reads.

"Dear Zinnia, how are you? Do you remember the time when we climbed the Sky Pillar together? It sure is the wonderful thing that we did together, I have been regretting for years that I didn't bring you to watch the stars while riding on Rayquaza. I want you to know, dragons are the strongest type in the Pokemon world, but the reason they are strong because they have close bonds. Without you, I was just like a dragon with raw power. It is thanks to you that this dragon is able to grow strong and ferocious in battles."

Zinnia laughs a little at the words, and she says, "It sure does like your style. Man...who knows you are such a funny guy."

Ash pouts a little and then Zinnia says, "But jokes aside, I am very happy about the way you confess to me. Without you, I am also a dragoness who is very reckless and always straight-forward as well."

Ash smiles and they share a laugh again, Elder coughs a little and they turn their attention to her. Elder says, "Ash. I don't mind if you like my granddaughter. But can I ask you a question?"

"What is it?" Ash asks.

"It is about the Infinity Gems, is it true that they can change people into Pokemon with their power?" Elder asks, Ash frowns a little and says, "I also learned it recently, so I am not quite sure about how it works."

"It is fine. So how many girls have you acquired now?" Elder asks. Ash says, "Two of them. I have Insey and Marnie. One is my childhood friend who is dreamed of being a baker, and one is the only Dark Type Gym Leader in the whole World."

"I see. So I am the third one." Zinnia says, "But why didn't I see anyone of them?"

Ash frowns, "Insey has absorbed the Bug Gem's power, and right now she is unconscious, so my mother and Marnie are back at my place watching over while I come and find you."

Zinnia and Elder widen their eyes, and Zinnia says, "I am sorry to hear that..."

"It is fine, how about we go to my place so you can meet one another?" Ash asks.

"But my training..." Zinnia turns to Elder, who says, "Don't worry, Ash can be your teacher, after all, he is the dragon prince in your dreams, right?"

Zinnia blushes and Ash asks, "Dragon Prince? What is that about?"

"I'll tell you once we arrived at your place." Zinnia says as they bid farewell to the Elder as they leave the Dragon Village.

Here is a new chapter, and now Ash has Zinnia in the team, the next chapter will be Zinnia meeting with the other girls, and about Insey and the gem's power.
