Chapter 7: Revolta's Castle

After 10 minutes of flying, Danny and Sibella soon arrived at their destination.

Revolta's castle.

"Here we are... " Sibella said upon landing and changing back to her base form.

"Yeah, definitely a witch's castle..." Danny commented on the appearance of the place. "Well, unless she has a huge army like the Ghost King did, it should be easy to set everyone free..." He said.

He was about to go, only for Sibella to grab his hand, getting his attention.

"Please wait..." Sibella said, seriously.

"Sibella..." Danny said but was cut off.

"Please… let's do this without letting her know first. It would be very bat if she knew, who knows what she'll do to the girls and Ms. Grimwood if we're spotted." Sibella said, not budging here.

Danny saw that she was serious and sighed.

He nodded.

"Okay…"

"Thank you…" Sibella said.

With that, Danny used his power to phase through the walls and he and and Sibella were soon inside Revolta's castle.

"This is it? Wow, creepy..." He muttered.

"I'm gonna assume you don't mean that as a compliment..." She said.

It was exactly as Danny thought. It was dark, covered in cobwebs, dusty and very uninviting.

Vlad would feel right at home here… He thought.

The two supernatural teens began looking around.

As they searched, they walked past a mirror that was covered for some reason.

"Come here..." A deep voice was heard.

They stopped.

"Did that mirror just talk?" 'Danny asked.

"Best avoid that..." Sibella said.

Danny realized that she was right. He chose to ignore it and went back to looking for the ghouls.

''Oh… come on..." The mirror grumbled over missing sime victims.

As they walked down the hall, Sibella stopped and glared at something on the wall.

Danny saw it.

It was a yellow-skinned, green-haired woman with an evil smile that featured an overbite and four arms.

"I'm guessing this is Revolta?" He asked.

"That's her, alright." Sibella said with distaste.

It was then Danny noticed that the painting had the right side torn, while Revolta stood on the left side.

Blinking, Danny began to remember something from the museum during an exhibit on paintings.

"Wait… who was that?" Danny asked.

"We just said it was Revolta." Sibella reminded him.

"No, I meant on the other side of the painting." He said.

"Hmm?" Sibella asked.

Danny pointed to the torn half.

"If Revolta's supposed to be the only one, why is she to the left? That'd be too much space, so clearly someone or something should be there?"

Sibella tilted her head quizzically, realizing he had a point. However, she shrugged.

"Don't know, don't care. We're here for my friends…"

"Right, sorry…" Danny said.

They had some ghouls to save.

That's when they heard a familiar chuckle that was getting closer.

"The Grim Creeper…" Sibella whispered. Danny was about to charge his fist when Sibella held onto his shoulder. "No. We have to stay quiet, remember?"

He nodded and looked around before seeing a hiding spot.

Danny quickly phased them into a nearby closet.

Soon he and Sibella were inside.

"We should be safe here..." He said.

"I hope so..." She said.

They cannot risk getting caught.

As Danny looked out through the crack of the door, Sibella took a moment to look at him while he was unaware.

She smiled before noticing something that made her look downward and turn a pink color.

"Uh… Danny?" She asked.

"Yeah?" He looked to her.

She pointed downward and he realized what she was referring to.

The closet was small and pretty cramped and Sibella and Danny were a little too close to each other now.

He turned pink as well.

This is awkward… He thought.

He looked back to the outside, trying to ignore that they were practically pressed against each other.

Sibella resumed looking at him as he kept looking out.

Despite the scenario, she smiled.

She started to feel a warmth to her face.

He's so brave… so cool… She thought.

Sibella's blush and smile dropped when she noticed something.

Something pretty obvious, in hindsight.

"Wait… why didn't you turn us invisible?" She asked.

Danny heard this and shut his eyes, shaking his head.

"I… didn't think about that. I had like 2 seconds…" Danny admitted.

He realized now how stupid this was. Sibella too, still she did not hate this.

"Well, we're already here and Revolta is sneaky...maybe we could stay here until the coast is clear..." Sibella said.

"Okay...if you think it's best..." He said, still feeling pretty awkward.

The vampire girl smiled.

"So...I guess we are alone..." Sibella said. She regretted it once she realized how that sounded. "I...I mean… before we save everyone..." She stammered.

"I know what you mean..." Danny said good naturedly.

She sighed.

"Sorry… you know I'm still… attracted to you… so this is… a little hard for me." She said.

Danny saw the sad, regretful look on her face.

For some reason, he didn't like it. As such, something made him speak up.

"You know, for what it's worth, I did think you were pretty when we met." Danny said.

Sibella looked surprised.

"Really?"

''Yeah, well...sure, you might be the first vampire I ever met, but you're still pretty..." He said.

Sibella smiled and blushed at this.

It made her feel like she didn't have to hide how she felt.

"I have to admit… I don't just think you're cute." Sibella admitted. "I think it's… cool you chose to help us out despite how I made you feel… and you're brave to come here to save everyone."

"It's not brave, it's just what I do…" Danny said.

''So modest..." Sibella said.

Despite it all, Danny smiled at her.

Sibella smiled back.

A pink flash went across their eyes at the same time. Their faces also turned a bright pink..

Before anything could happen, they heard something from the outside.

It sounded like footsteps.

"Someone is out there..." Sibella said.

"Shh..." Danny said as he listened in.

He heard a familiar voice.

"Come, Ms. Grimwood. The Well-Dweller is waiting for you..." The potato monster said as he led her.

Danny and Sibella heard this.

"Well-dweller?" He questioned.

He noticed the horrified look on Sibellas face.

"It's a monster she tried to feed our gym teacher to..." She said in a panic.

Hearing that, Danny steeled himself.

"Wait here…"

At the pit that led to the creature, the Grim Creeper pointed downward.

"Down you go! The Well-Dweller is hungry!" He said.

Grimwood was to jump in.

"Sorry! The Dweller's gonna have to settle for something else!" Danny called out.

Before Ms Grimwood could fall in, Danny managed to grab her and fly her up and out of the well, saving her.

The creeper saw this and gasped.

"Not you again!" He yelled.

"That's right! We're gonna find out if that thing wants fries!" Danny shouted.

The Grim Creeper gasped in horror at that threat.

Danny quickly removed the earmuffs and broke them.

Ms Grimwood shook her head and groaned.

"Oh dear, that was close..." The headmistress said.

"Ms. Grimwood? Were you aware of what was happening?" Danny asked.

"Yes, I couldn't move, but I was well aware of my surroundings." Ms. Grimwood said. "It was simply awful."

That's when Danny noticed the Grim Creeper trying to crawl away, he pointed his hand out.

"Not so fast!"

Danny fired a ghost ray, pushing the Grim Creeper into the pit, where the sounds a monster on munching are heard.

"OW! IT'S ME, YOU STUPID BEAST! OW! STOP IT!" He was heard shouting in the pit.

Danny ignored those sounds and directed his attention to Ms. Grimwood.

"Where are the other girls?" Danny asked.

"I believe they are cleaning the second floor…" Ms. Grimwood said.

"Okay… go with Sibella and wait outside. I'll get the girls." Danny said.

''Be careful..."Ms Grimwood said.

Danny nodded before taking off.

"Creeper! CREEPER!" Revolta shouted angrily from the top floor. "Where are you?!" She demanded.

She groaned when he didn't respond and marched to her cauldron.

After tossing in ingredients and stirring, the cauldron showed in the mixture the image of the pit. Sounds of the Well-Dweller chomping before hearing it spit in disgust.

That's when the Grim Creeper was seen being shot out the pit and landing faceup on the floor, looking bruised.

"I hate that kid…" He said weakly.

"CREEPER!" Revolta shouted angrily. "Where is Grimwood?! I hope for your sake she's already in the Well-Dweller's stomach!"

"She's… not… that boy is here…" He managed to say weakly.

Revolta grinded her teeth, snapping the wooden spoon in her hand in half.

"DO SOMETHING!" She ordered.

"I can't…" He whined. "I think it's clear I can't handle that boy…"

That made the spider witch angrier.

Turning away, Revolta grunted.

"Useless vegetable monster…" She looked to the ceiling. "Well then… Plan B."

Danny hovered to the second floor, looking around.

"Okay… where are they?" He asked himself.

He hovered down the hall, noticing something in the corner of his eye.

Wait… was that…?

He hovered back and saw it was some kind of library, one where all the girls were.

"Girls!" He shouted in relief as he flew in. "Come on, we're getting out of here!" He said.

'They did not move. They kept looking blankly as they dusted the library books on the shelfs.

"We only obey Revolta…" They all said in a dazed tone.

That freaked the ghost boy out.

"Tanis?" Danny asked the mummy girl, who ignored him. "Phantasma?" He asked the ghost floating past him.

"I only obey Revolta… not even you can defy that, you haunting hunk…" She said in a hypnotic state.

Danny rolled his eyes at that.

"Even hypnotized…" He muttered.

Now is not the time to deal with that. There are more important matters to attend to.

I better get these off them. I'll start with Tanis… He thought.

That's when he heard squeaking.

He flinched.

"Sibella?" He asked. Looking around. That's when he saw them flying towards him.

They were bats that also looked like spiders and they look mean.

He raise a shield.

He saw them squeaking at him with their odd jagged mouths and looking angry.

"Okay… not Sibella…" He said.

They flew above the shield descended on him.

One of them scratched him as he managed to avoid the rest.

"Ow! That hurt!" He went before realization hit him. "Wait… that hurt… these things must be magical or something…"

He tried to dodge and blast these spider bats, while the hypnotized girls watched.

"You cannot defeat Revolta… no matter how handsome you are…" Phantasma went.

Danny groaned upon hearing that.

"It's a good thing Sam's not here…" He said to himself as he fired at the Spider Bats.

They squeaked and dodged, flying in all directions and making it hard for him to aim

He kept firing, trying to land a blow.

All the while, the ghouls just stared at this.

"He has no chance of winning…" Elsa said.

"He cannot defeat the Spider Bats…" Winnie went.

"Join us, you handsome specter…" Phantasma said.

One almost bit him on the arm as he fired an optic ice blast, freezing it in a block as it hit the floor.

''Got it!" He said.

The Spider Bats noticed this and panicked. They decided to try and rush him again.

This time, Danny was ready.

With his arms wrapped around him and his body glowing blue, Danny unleashed a wave of cold energy that froze the small creatures in ice.

All of them hit the floor.

Danny was unaware Revolta was watching via her cauldron.

She was hissing in anger at the sight of her pets being frozen solid. Knowing she's low on minions to do her dirty work for her.

"If you want something done right…" She muttered.

With the Spider Bats now subdued, Danny managed to remove the remaining earmuffs, thus freeing the girls from Revolta's mind control.

''What the-" All of them went.

All of them shook their heads to become aware of what's going on.

"What happened?" Tannis asked after being freed.

"Yeah, where are we?" Elsa asked as she scratched the side of her head.

"Aroo, we're in Revolta's castle again!" Winnie said.

"We were saved… by the most handsome superhero ever!" Phanty said.

Danny sighed at that. He ignored Phanty as he explained to the girls what happened.

Revolta was putting mixtures into her cauldron, she was stirring fast.

"That boy is going to pay for getting in my way!" She shouted.

She was furious.

Just now, this creature, this supposed half-ghost superhero, is ruining her plans. Last time, it was some lanky human adult and his dog. Now, it's some boy with abilities that made no sense. She was not going to lose her shot ever again.

I will destroy that boy myself! She thought.

That's when her mirror depicted a shadowy figure with yellow eyes.

"Boy? What boy?" The voice went.

Revolta stopped what she was doing. She gasped in horror and turned her head.

"Oh… Sir…" She said in a panicked voice.

"Where is Dracula's daughter?" He demanded.

Revolta gulped.

''Um...well...you see.." The spider witch stammered.

"No excuses! No one should be keeping you from doing your job!" He yelled.

"It is not my fault! It's… that boy! He's gotten in my way!" Revolta said.

'She did not like the look he sent her after saying that.

"I see… well… are you not the most powerful sorceress in the world?" He asked.

Revolta did not know where he was going with this. She was afraid of what he'd say in response.

"Y-Yes…" She said.

The figure sent her a disgusted scowl.

"And yet, you seem to have trouble with some child?" He asked.

"Well… this… "child" is some kind of human with supernatural powers. Those powers are… making him troublesome." She explained, afraid of him losing his temper.

"It seems though that you're having trouble… perhaps I personally should handle this?" He asked in a tone that made it clear he has little patience right now.

"NO!" Revolta went, clearing her throat. "No need, Sir… I will handle this." She said.

"You'd better…" He snarled.

"I will!" Revolta insisted, quaking in fear.

''Or else..." He warned

Once he was gone, Revolta sighed in relief.

He's actually as terrifying as my brother… She thought.

Danny has finished explaining what happened.

"Oh wow..." Elsa said.

"What now?" Tanis asked.

"Girls, I want all of you to meet with Ms. Grimwood and Sibella outside. I'll take care of Revolta." He said.

The ghouls were stunned to see this.

"Really?" Tanis asked.

"That's too dangerous, Danny!" Phantasma said. "Let's just go!" She then pleaded.

"If we do, she'll just keep coming back and harassing you guys until she's got you in her clutches for good, or the school gets shut down permanently. I'm going to make sure she never bugs you guys again." Danny said.

All of them shared rather unsure looks regarding Danny's insistence that he handle Revolta himself.

"You wanna pick a fight with Revolta?" Winnie asked, surprised to hear that. "You ever fought a witch before?"

"Not counting the one from an old video game about a bear and a bird? No. But, first time for everything."

"Video game?" Tanis asked.

"Long story, one I'll be happy to tell you about once I take care of Revolta." Danny said.

All of the girls looked pretty afraid for his fate.

"Well… if you're sure…" Phantasma said.

"Aroo… go for it." Winnie went.'

''Be careful Danny..." Tanis said, hugging his leg.

Danny smiled and patted her on the head.

"I will, now go..." He said.

She let go and nodded as all of them headed to the doorway.

All but Phantasma, who hugged him.

"Be careful, you haunting hunk!" She said.

"Not a problem…" He said, trying to pull out.

Phanty however had other ideas.

"Let me wish you good luck..." She said as she puckered her lips.

Danny managed to pull away and raise his hands on defense.

"Whoa! Not here!" He said.

Phanty heard this and pouted.

''Not here?" She asked

''I mean… Revolta might attack your friends while you're here. Strength in numbers, after all." He said.

Phanty sighed before nodding.

She soon left with the other girls.

Danny was relieved.

With all the ghouls out and a safe distance, Danny knew it was time to finally face Revolta.

"Now, time for a witch hunt..." He said.

His eyes glowed brighter as he went to search for his foe.

Danny was phasing through various rooms, not finding Revolta at all.

He finished the first and second floors before remembering something.

I think Sibella mentioned something about a room with a skyline… He thought.

With that, he phased out of the castle and headed upward. There, he saw an opening in the roof. He saw it was some kind of chamber.

Danny soon arrived at the chamber and soon came across a person here.

It was a very hideous woman with red eyes, four arms and a very nasty look on her face.

So, this is her, huh? Danny thought.

Revolta scoffed angrily.

"Danny Phantom... I presume?"

"I'm guessing since I wanna throw up at the sight of you that you're Revolta?" He snarked.

"Flattery will get you nowhere, boy... except an early grave!" She shouted as she readied a wand.
