Sins of the Past
Part 7 Duty and Love
It was the afternoon and Vitani awaited Simba's return on his evening patrol. She was once again nervous. Her feelings were starting to become conflicted. Hopefully Kovu would be able to come and help her put this dreadful plot behind them. But what awaited them afterwards would be only more turmoil…
Simba had gone out early on his afternoon patrols. He patrolled the entire boarder first, before going to where he knew Ava would be. He had tried to tell himself not to go, that no good could come from seeking out her company. But it was no use. He couldn't stop thinking about her all day. If he didn't go see her, he wouldn't be able to sleep, he would just be wondering about her endlessly. Simba told himself he just wanted to talk to her more. But underneath that desire to simply connect with someone was the ever stronger desire of lustful pleasure which he hadn't felt in so long…
Vitani lay by the pond, she heard rustling in the tall grass. It was Simba. She smiled at him and he came to sit beside her. They then started talking. Simba told her of all his worries in his life, his problems, and his heartaches. Vitani listened quietly, letting the King do most of the talking. As time passed he became calmer, more relaxed. Simba realized he had been rambling for hours and Ava had hardly said a word…
"I'm sorry," Simba said. "Here I've just been going on and on about myself… Tell me about yourself Ava. How are you? Where are you from?"
Vitani smiled. It was the only time in her life she remembered someone asking her how she was feeling.
"I'm doing okay I guess," Vitani replied. "I caught a gazelle earlier today… I was going to save some for you but a wild dog made off with the rest of it…"
"That's fine," Simba said softly. "I'm glad you got something to eat. I'd hate for you to go hungry…"
Vitani chuckled. She could tell the King was enthralled with her, listening intently to everything she said.
"As for where I'm from, I'd rather not say…" Vitani said sadly. "Too many bad memoires, too many fights. I rather just look forward and not behind…"
"I was that way once," Simba stated. "I tried running from my past. But it doesn't ever go away. The sooner you can face it, the sooner you can move on. But I understand, it's a hard thing to force…"
Vitani nodded. She really wanted to tell Simba. To spill her life to him as he had done with her. She wanted to be free… As free as he was with her…
"My Mother was a horrible lioness," Vitani stated. "She never cared about me, only what I could do for her. She… manipulated me into doing so many things… unspeakable things. I just couldn't stand it anymore. I had to get away, to find myself. Free from her version of me, so I can discover for myself who I truly am… I don't think I've found myself completely yet. But I'm glad I found you…"
Vitani gave Simba a light kiss on the check. She then looked down at his large paws next to hers. She felt so safe with him, like nothing would ever happen to her when he was there. To her surprise Simba kissed her on the check. She looked up at him with his big amber eyes and he kissed her again. Vitani closed her eyes and melted under Simba's touch. His warm tongue licking the roof of her mouth. She could fell the desire within her burn; she began to pant… Simba felt the same way. He noticed Vitani's subtle apprehension. Although she clearly felt the same way about him, she was inexperienced... A protective instinct took over Simba, he wanted Ava to be protected, to shield her from everything. But she would have to experience this for herself, he could not force his feelings on her. She may not have the resolve to refuse him.
"Ava," Simba whispered into Vitani's ear. "Are you sure you want this…?"
"Yes Simba," Vitani panted. "I… I need you…"
"Okay. If you want me to stop… just say so…"
Vitani's conflicting thoughts about sex where gone. She could only feel her heightened excitement and needed it fulfilled. Simba started to kiss her ears and back of her neck as he rose to stand over her. She glanced behind to see him fully erect. Her heart pounded… Her instincts told her that she really wanted to feel that inside her…
Simba lightly gripped the back of Ava's neck in his teeth. She was eager for him, her tail raised, her back arched downward, her hips splayed. He could feel her wetness on his fur, making him more enticed. Simba gently slid himself inside her. Ava moaned and growled. He then slowly started rocking back and forth…
Vitani could feel herself building, her intensity rising. She dug her claws into the ground. It wasn't enough. She needed more…
"Simba!" she moaned. "More, please more…"
Simba quickened his pace. Instantly Vitani was satisfied, her mind full of bliss, roaring involuntarily into the sky as the sun began to set. She built again and again, reaching her peak over and over. She wanted this to never end, this pleasure, this moment of pure ecstasy. She was so close yet again… But suddenly Simba stopped. He roared and growled into her fur, his teeth still clamped around the back of her neck. He let go, and pulled away… Why the heck did he do that?!
Vitani spun around and slapped Simba in the face. Simba was too startled by Vitani's response to react.
"Why did you stop?!" Vitani demanded. "You said you would stop when I told you to! I wasn't done with you yet! Worthless male…"
Simba could not help but smile at Ava's innocence. She still had much to learn… But he could not be angry at her. The sight of Simba's smile made Vitani even more frustrated. She was about to smack him again, but instead he grabbed her, pulling her close…
"Now what are you doing?!" Vitani growled.
Simba held the squirming Vitani as he started to groom her…
"I'm not some cub… Let me go!" she insisted.
Simba continued, licking her back, down to her tail, the under her tail, to her neglected, aching need… Vitani moaned. It wasn't as good as what she was just having, but it was enough to bring down her frustration and calm her into a more agreeable state.
"If that's all you're going to give me…" Vitani huffed. "I'm still pissed at you…"
Simba let go of Ava now that she wasn't going to attack him anymore. He kissed her sweetly, but she still didn't feel like kissing him back. Simba wasn't bothered. Tomorrow he would explain the finer details of lion anatomy to her…
"Can I see you tomorrow Ava?" Simba asked her.
"Maybe…" Vitani pouted.
Simba rubbed his head into Ava's face, covering her in his masculine scent that was irresistible…
"Okay fine…" Vitani caved. "But you need to practice more…"
"We will…" Simba said seductively. "But I must get back… My pride will be waiting for me…"
Simba left Vitani and headed back to Pride Rock. The sun had just set. Vitani ran off to report in to her Mother. Zira would be pleased. Vitani's part in her plan was going smoothly…
Vitani's head was soring. She had done it! Her Mother was so proud of her! She had seduced Simba, the King of Pride Rock! But her happiness was quickly shattered when she was reminded of her true purpose. Ultimately Kovu and she would kill Simba… Vitani then realized her pleasure filled triumph with the King would not work. She had been too distracted, off in another world with her thoughts and lust guiding her. She would have never been able to just turn around instantly and help her brother kill Simba… She remembered Kovu and Doa's first time together. How Zira had lectured them on their lustful, mindless display. How Kovu had stopped when he had roared lustfully in fulfillment. That's why Simba had stopped. He had peaked, that was the end of sex for them. Vitani felt so stupid.
She then recalled how much Kovu had improved. He and Doa just were sort of there. There was no passion, no connection, nothing. Just parts touching each other. Neither of them probably even got off when Zira used Doa as a reward. He had taught himself to block it all out. Vitani wasn't sure she could do that. That she even wanted to do that. How dare her Mother take one of the few enjoyable things in life and make it… meaningless! Her head was spinning in a jumbled mess of thoughts.
The next day she went to her spot along the pond. She was going to try. Duty to her pride demanded it. But she hated the very thought of it…
"Good morning Ava," Simba said, greeting Vitani with a friendly head bump. He could tell right away something was off about her…
"Good morning Simba," Vitani stated. "I'm… I'm sorry about yesterday. I now realize you had… finished. I shouldn't have been so upset with you. I just didn't know…"
Simba smiled sweetly at her. "That's fine," he said sweetly. "I didn't mind. I knew it was your first time. I was going to explain that to you today. But it seems you've figured it out…"
Simba began to kiss Vitani. His touch coursed through her, his scent overtaking her. She stared at her reflection in the pond trying desperately to stay focused…
"Ava, what is wrong?" Simba asked worriedly. "Did I do something…?"
"No," Vitani replied. "It's just that… I've had lots on my mind…"
"Do you want to talk about it…?"
Vitani realized she couldn't fool the King. She couldn't fake what she had done yesterday with him. She had failed her pride. She had fallen in love with her enemy… King Simba, murderer of King Scar. She couldn't bring herself to harm him. She loved him…
"Oh Simba!" Vitani cried, throwing herself into Simba's soft mane, tears streaming down her face. "I told myself I wouldn't. That it wasn't right! But… But I can't help it! I'm in love with you!"
Simba was surprised at Ava's sudden revelation. But he had been having the same feelings. And as much as he hated to admit it, he too had fallen in love with her. He still loved Nala, he always would. But the deep feelings he now felt for Ava were undeniable…
"I love you too Ava…" Simba replied.
"But it's wrong!" Vitani cried. "You have a wife and daughter! I… I have nothing! You are the King… I cannot be with you…"
"Ava," Simba said gently, raising her head so her deep blue eyes met his. "We will figure this out. I know it seems like a challenge, but I won't lose you…"
"Promise me!"
"Promise you what?"
"Promise that you'll never leave me!" Vitani cried. "That you'll never abandon me. No matter what happens. No matter what is forced upon us! Please! Promise that you'll still love me… You're the only lion in my entire life who has ever cared for me…"
"I promise Ava," Simba reassured the sobbing young lioness. Vitani relaxed and let her head rest against his chest to finish crying herself out of her horrible mix of emotions. Simba felt a stabbing pain looking down at her. Whatever she had run away from, it had been awful. Her coming to terms with it all was going to take time. Ava had already told him more than she willingly had wanted to. Simba would not press her farther. He needed to trust her and allow her to tell him in time…
Vitani had stopped crying. She no longer wanted to think about her mother's plot to kill Simba or to take over the Pride Lands. She just wanted to enjoy what little peace she had in this world. She began to kiss Simba's face, his neck. He returned her kisses. Their passionate affair was an unstoppable force, drawing them into one another.
If he has to die, at least he will have known happiness, Vitani thought as she moaned in delight to Simba's forceful thrusts… We are not all like Zira…
"Shouldn't Kovu have tried something by now?!" Nuka said impatiently. "It's been several days now…"
"Calm down Nuka," Vitani growled. "Kiara has been keeping him… busy…"
"Ugh… Well he just better not forget… Mother's going to be pissed…"
"Not if you shut up!"
Zira had been walking around the Outlands contemplating her next move. Her initially promising reports were starting to grow sour… Kovu kept getting himself caught up in Kiara's influence. Something Zira had greatly hoped to avoid. She knew full well that Kiara was a much more attractive young lioness then anything she could offer her son. His remark about killing her, rather than allowing Zira to torture Kiara worried her as well. He had a soft spot for Kiara, he had had it ever since their chance meeting as cubs. And the more time he spent with her would only fuel this… infatuation. Kovu's duty to his pride was at risk. Zira could not allow it to continue for much longer or risk losing her son to Kiara's clutches…
"Vitani!" Zira growled as she came back into the Outsider's den.
"Yes, Mother?" Vitani replied.
"How many times now have you been with Simba?"
"About four."
"And it's always near the same place? The place we scouted out with Kovu?"
"Yes…" Vitani replied hesitantly. "Why do you ask?"
"It doesn't make sense…" Zira growled. "If Kiara is so busy with him all day then he should just go out early and meet up with you during Simba's morning patrols! Or slip away in the evenings to meet up with you on the evening patrols! He seems to be… deliberately avoiding the task…"
"I could go help Mother!" Nuka eagerly volunteered. "I could wait with Vitani and…"
"Shut up Nuka!" Zira roared. "I want Simba dead quickly. The two of you wouldn't be able to accomplish that! The whole operation would be blown! No… We need to check in on Kovu…"
"It's hard for him to report in when he's constantly being escorted around…" Vitani defended.
"Ture," Zira admitted. "But you could check up on him…"
"Me?" Vitani questioned. "I'm not sure Simba has told the pride I'm on their territory. I can't risk being exposed…"
"You know when he goes back to Pride Rock at night," Zira continued. "Just follow him from a distance. Check and see what Kovu is up to. See if he's sticking to the plan…"
"Okay…" Vitani said nervously. She felt more conflicted. She had been hoping Kovu would never come, that her affair with the King could just continue unnoticed forever. But Zira was growing impatient. And Vitani could feel her heat coming on. It was early. The perfect storm was coming…
"If it appears Kovu isn't sticking to the plan then we'll intervene. Ambush Simba while he's on patrol or something…"
Vitani's heart sank. "You really think that's necessary Mother?"
"Of course!" Zira snapped. "If Kovu cannot act on his own, then we'll force him to act. He cannot abandon us! He has a duty to uphold Scar's legacy as the chosen heir! The longer Kiara manipulates him with her stupidity, the less likely he will act. He'll have one more chance. Tomorrow when you go see Simba, try to keep him there as long as possible. Give Kovu the maximum opportunity to attack. Then check up on Kovu that night. If he seems compromised, then we'll have no choice…"
"Of course Mother," Vitani said hollowly. "Whatever you think is best."
