Shadow and Knuckles bring everyone else down to the courtyard and Silver catches Sonic and Fang, but the latter has been knocked out from the blast. "Where's the ruby" Sonic asks and they then all spot Scratch stuck in a tree trying to reach for the ruby, they all make a dash for it but then a giant Infinite burst out of the ground between them and it. Tails and Amy try and attack him as Blaze tries to launch a fire ball at the ruby, but Infinite is able to shield it from her. He then throws Amy and Tails to the side injuring both of them "That's enough Infinite" he turned to see Sonic standing on his own "Yeah you're some all-powerful genie, can't even get rid of a streethog!" . "That is a problem I mean to rectify!" Infinite said as he picked up Sonic and began to crush him, but he suddenly turned into Shadow "WHAT!?" "Got you, GO SONIC". Infinite turns to see the real Sonic as well as, Silver and Blaze on Omega flying straight for the ruby, he throws Shadow aside and fires a beam at them that hits Omega who begins to slowly disassemble "OMEGA NO!" they all fell to the ground in front of the ruby. Sonic tried to grab it, but the ground began to shake and the patch of ground that the ruby was on rose causing Sonic to hold on as Infinite appeared and began to laugh. Blaze grabbed one of the metal torches in the courtyard and used her powers to make it red hot, Silver then used his powers to through the piece of metal at Infinite and it actually pierced his skin and he screamed in pain. He turned to Silver "That's iron buddy, I may not be a genie anymore, but I still know our weaknesses!" "To bad mortals have so many more!".
Infinite caused the ground around the rock Sonic was holding onto into lava, Tails and Amy who couldn't fight with their injuries tried to wake Shadow up. Silver was now using his powers to make sure the rock Sonic was holding onto didn't fall into the lava and Blaze was using her powers to direct the heat away from Sonic so he wouldn't burn from how close he was. Infinite shot a continuous beam at them hoping to let Sonic drop but Knuckles then got in the way and used all his power to hold the beam back "Who you calling second rate" he said obviously struggling against the power of the beam. Sonic tried to reach for the ruby that was on a different rock, but he couldn't. Infinite directed his attention to Sonic, but the beam was still hitting Knuckles, Infinite laughed at Sonic's situation "Haha, this is the end hedgehog, and no one will save you this time". "HEY INFINITE, SHUUUUUT UUUUUUPPPPPP!" Infinite turned to see Jet flying in on his extreme gear, heading straight for the ruby "TRAITOR!" he tried to shoot Jet out of the sky but he was able to get the ruby and was about to drop it but he finally got hit and he fell onto one of the rocks presumably knocked out with the ruby next to him.
"Haha, good help is so hard to find these days isn't it Sonic" Infinite said mockingly but suddenly Jet woke up and pulled out one of his fans and used it to launch the ruby of the rock and fall straight into the lava, much to Infinite's horror. "My ruby, NNNOOOOOO!" the ruby began to crack and shatter as Infinite began to scream in pain. The rocks around Jet began to collapse and he was about to fall into the lava when a green glow surrounded him and he flew upwards into the hands Of Silver and Blaze who pulled him up "We've got you pal" Silver said. The beam stopped hitting Knuckles and he was able to fly down and lift Sonic away from the lava. The ruby completely shattered and disappeared into the lava and Infinite began to scream even louder as his body began to spin and finally explode with a final "NO!". The ground reappeared where the lava was, Omega reassembled who promptly went up to Tails and gave him a high five "That is the first and last time I will ever do that" "Well, it was still worth it". Shadow woke up and immediately took Fang over too Tails and Amy where he healed the three of them. They all then realised Jet wasn't moving and circled him, Sonic was the saddest "Oh Jet…. but I thought a genie couldn't kill" Jet then coughed "You'd be surprised what you can live through". Sonic smiled "Alright" everyone began cheering.
Back in the palace throne room Jet was lying on pile of pillows narrating to himself "And so the bird lived happily ever after, wallowing in luxury as Sonic's palace pal". Sonic, Amy and the king were listening to this "Well my dear boy, or should I say my new advisor" Sonic looked hesitant "I am honoured your majesty but-". Jet ran up to Sonic "But? Why but" "Well, when me and Tails were about to be executed, I realised there was still some things I wanted to do first". Jet was annoyed by this "WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT!" "The world for one" "Look personally I'm with you but let's take it one step at a time" Silver then pulled Jet away with his powers. "I'm saying that I can't just spend all my time in the palace, there too much to do and see" Jet tried to get one more word in "What about your girlfriend" he said gesturing to Amy "Well that's what the next thing was". Sonic went up to Amy and took her hands "Amy, will you marry me" everyone gasped, Amy was surprised but then hugged him "Yes I will". "Can we plan" Silver suddenly jumped in, Sonic and Amy both looked at each other and Amyy then said "Sure, how long do you think that it will take?". Knuckles made a chart appear "Give us 6 months" "Alright but Silvers in charge". Jet was still annoyed "Alright the madness is spreading".
"Alright the madness is spreading…. Where'd he go" Vector turned to see once again the man left. Espio looked confused "Well the moment you started he yelled no amount of money is worth this. Then he slammed that pile of money on the table and left with his son". "What, why would he leave us money?" Charmy then suddenly spoke "Well, I may have betted him that he couldn't make it through one of your stories. I wanted to hear the next part and I thought this would be the best way to do it while also making some extra money". Vector didn't know whether to feel angry that he had been tricked, or proud that Charmy was able to get them even more money. Charmy then lifted up the sceptre "Any chance I could hear the next part" Vector gave a half-hearted smile "I'll tell you it when we get back to Station Square.
