Part 7: Who Hates Duncan More?

Noah's POV:

Topher, Owen, and I are currently looking at the list of people who were at Geoff's party which showed everyone clear of the murder of Cody Anderson. I look at the douche who not long before this was on a date with my ex's sister and let's just say I don't completely trust his intention; I mean have you met the guy? He's self-centered, uncaring, has no work ethic, manipulative, and have I mentioned he annoys the hell out me just for the fun of it. I then turn over to Owen who is has the happiest face right now as he's actually enjoying himself being part of this detective case, I guess you can call it. I then look at the camera recording us just standing trying to figure out our first move. Topher then walks over to table with paper and starts writing sporadically.

"What are you writing?" I ask a little annoyed, he doesn't reply he just keeps writing. "Uhhh earth to douche the world doesn't revolve around you."

"If were saying Duncan didn't doit then that means someone's framing him." Topher finally speaks which makes Owen gasp, I just roll my eyes. "I'm writing a list of people that would hate Duncan enough."

He then reveals the list of Duncan's worst enemies; number one we have Courtney Rodriguez aka Duncan's first lover on that God forsaken show called Total Drama, but of course they were the most toxic couple you could have literally thought of, like seriously not surprised they didn't last. Duncan ended the relationship by cheating on her with Gwen; which leads us on to number two Gwen Byron the boyfriend stealer, okay to be fair everyone hated Courtney so I let it slide and plus it was so obvious they were two teens who were similar as hell of course those two were going to suck faces with each other plus Trent called it which was kind of ironic; which bring us to number three Trent Travis aka the irrelevant one from the love square... okay let me chill, but I know the show won't show it because I guess he stopped being marketable, but he had a strong distaste for Duncan ever since Total Drama Action especially off screen he talked a lot of shit about the delinquent and how he blames him for his failed relationship with Gwen; At least he had Harold with the Drama Brother band which actually brings us to number four Mr. Harold Dorris McGrady the number one victim of Duncan's bullying on Total Drama, Harold talks about his experience on Total Drama including the Duncan situation on his podcast he started three years ago that is currently doing numbers, but short story he's not a fan of the delinquent; Then last but certainly least to everyone who was a part of that hellhole called Total Drama we have the person who would do anything to make sure he wins in the end, the one and only Chris McLean who got his "condo" which was actually a mansion blown up by the delinquent and ever since then McLean has had it out for Duncan ever since. I look over at this list for like five to ten minutes before I was ready to reply, Owen beats me to it.

"So, what's the plan we just interrogate all the people on the list?" Owen asks Topher who just looks at us then looks down back at his phone.

"Hey douche can you answer the question?" I ask in a mocking tone.

"I don't know." He finally replied. "I'm trying to figure out reasons they would kill Cody though."

"True Gwen would never kill Cody." I reason with the douche.

"What do you think about anyone else?" He asks me.

I pause for a second trying to logically think who would be bold enough for this elaborate plan, then I look back at Topher and Owen.

"Anyone else could be a suspect." I say to them. "Even if Gwen is least likely for this, I say we still interview her."

"Sounds like a plan to me." The douche replies excitedly. "I was planning on interrogating her regardless, but it's dope that I now have your approval."

"You know you make it so hard to be nice to you right?" I reply annoyed by the douche's arrogance.

"Wait you guys actually think any of these guys did this right?" Owen asks us with a concerned tone. "Maybe Chris, but Trent, definitely not Harold, Gwen, and I get Courtney is scary, but she wouldn't try to ruin her career for a little petty revenge."

"Dude you don't know what people will do to get revenge." Topher says in an annoyed tone. "At this point everyone is a suspect." He exclaims. "Someone is trying very hard for Duncan to get sent to prison and it's currently working." He walks towards the cameras and takes one. "If you figure anything else out don't forget to catch it on camera." He then walks to the guest room.

"He seemed a little annoyed." Owen says to me breaking the silence. "This really means a lot to him, huh?"

"Yea right all he cares about is how he's going to profit from this." I reply very unconvinced of the douche's motives. "I say we take the night off from this and just watch a movie or something."

"Sure, sounds like fun we haven't had a hangout night in a while!" Owen says excitedly. "By the way I have some exciting news for you little buddy."

"Please don't ask me to join some crazy reality show with you." I tell him straight up over the reality tv star phase.

"Even better, I got you a job interview at Star Universe Company that sponsors me." Owen reveals. "It's for accounting."

"Are you serious right now!?" I ask excitedly. "You are the best friend ever man."

He crushes my body while hugging, but this time I don't mind he saved me big time with this job interview. Even with this murder mystery and Topher bull shit it seems life is getting just a little bit easier.

Topher's POV:

I walk out the living room and go to the guest room. I lock the doors and go straight to my bad just thinking about how bad that conversation went, yea they got information on who to be suspicious about, but we still have no motive on the Cody kill for any of them. Maybe I'm overthinking all of this, but I have no choice I need to find a way to make some money so I can get my apartment back. Man, if my parents could look at me now, they would just laugh at how I couldn't just take the "business man" route instead of trying to be this celebrity. I look over at my laptop, then poof... ding ding ding! Lightbulb lights up and I grab my laptop and connect it to my laptop. I set up my camera to record my full body, I turn on some extra lights to just make the lighting better. I then sit on my bed and look right at the camera.

"Hey what's up my names Christopher Barret aka Topher, I was a contestant on Total Drama Pahkitew Island as some of you may know me from." I introduce myself to the camera. "But tonight, I'm here to tell you guys a secret that someone dangerous doesn't want you to know." I say knowing these last few words were going to bring the whole entire world into chaos, but I had no other choice. "Duncan Tarun is being framed for the murder of Cody Anderson." I reveal. "Don't worry I have facts for why he isn't the killer." I say bringing my "receipts" if you would say. "It all started when I ran into Noah Sterecra..."

Welp if Noah was pissed off at me before he was going to hate me now.

AN: YOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm sorry this chapter took so long I was trying so hard to think of how to transition to this part of the story where it gets real. That's right we're done with the introduction we got the team and we're going to investigate on the case. Who do you think framed duncan and killed Cody?
