TITLE OF WORLD GOD

NEXT DAY

Suzuki Satoru had another one of the overtime days. His face hung down, and he barely dragged his feet as he reached his apartment. He took out the keys kept in his pocket and opened the lock. He went inside the apartment and straight to the kitchen to have dinner as his stomach had been growling for the last hour.

'Ting-ting,'

His phone started ringing. He looked like someone had suddenly injected life into a dead body. His eyes grew wider in surprise and now looked towards his phone. He had no friends or relatives in actual life. He picked up his phone and picked up the call.

Suzuki; - ' Hello, who is there.'

A strange voice came from the speaker from the phone; - ' Hello, am I talking to Suzuki Satoru?'

Suzuki; - ' Yes, who am I talking to?'

Someone; - ' I am House. Please let me join your guild. Please…..'

Suzuki ended the call right there and wondered how this guy got his number. He pondered about it for a while but could recall nothing. He munched down on the tasteless food he ate every day. After finishing his meal, he went straight to the little gaming room and plugged on his headset in the back of his neck. Multiple icons appeared in his vision. He chose the icon of his new favorite game and waited patiently.

A message popped up before his eyes.

"An update has arrived. Please wait."

He waited for the update to finish. He didn't unplug his headset and waited patiently, thinking nothing. Not that he had much to think about other than the title he would be awarded. After waiting for a few minutes, the game load screen finally appeared. A blinding white light filled his vision. He stood in the same place he was standing when he logged out of the game. He cast a spell.

[Gate]

He chose the location 'Sandy castle' from the console. A dark oval-shaped gate appeared before his eyes. Now he was standing in front of the castle. He had already noticed the yellow mark in his logs but didn't consider it to be safe to wait there. So he teleported himself away to the safest location he knew.

He went inside the castle and down into the soon to be the main lobby of the base. They lacked a lot of items to complete the base, so most of the base was still incomplete. He walked to the end of the lobby where a door made of dark brown colored metal was there. He touched the door, using his hands. The door swung open gradually, revealing a white-colored room with a round white table in the center and seven chairs surrounding the table. This was the room they usually gathered to plan the upcoming raids, base building, and various issues about the game and sometimes actual life.

Suzuki walked up to a chair and pulled it out. He gently sat on the chair and opened his console. He clicked on the 'log' button on the top right corner of the console and opened the only unread log.

' Congratulations Momonga. We have awarded you the title of 'World god of death and unlife' for landing the decisive blow to the world enemy known as the titan of chaos. We have given further information on your new job title below.'

It shocked him, as he only knew about two levels of the job title 'god'. First one being the lesser variant that came without a title and the other being higher that came with one title. He knew this job title was something big as it combined two of the most important words the game developers used: 'god' and 'world'. Not only that, it came with two titles: death and unlife.

As he read further on, his mouth hung open at the skills and god spells they gave him. The biggest shock came when he saw the stat boost it gave him, but there was a catch as he had to maintain all 50 XP levels invested into his new job title in order to use any power-up it gave.

Sighs…..

He probably had a long way ahead of him. Grinding for levels, building the base, and to save some money in real life as he had none left.
