"Bethany! Time to get up for school!"
Bethany Vreeke let out a yawn as she sat up in bed. She had had such a weird and wonderful dream, the details of which were fading from memory. Rubbing her eyes, she got out of her bed and made it neatly.
Still sleepy, she made her way to the bathroom and opened the door. Something felt strangely off to her this morning, but she couldn't tell what. Only when she went over to the sink did she figure it out.
There in the mirror, staring back at her, was the grown-up face of Spitfire Jane.
THE END.
Thank you for reading Jumanji: The Missing Warrior! I hope you enjoyed reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Who knows, perhaps we might even see elements of it appear in Jumanji canon someday. (Hint, hint, Sony!)
As always, please leave a review and tell me what you think!
Bonus A/N:
While writing this story, I did, of course, fancast the roles of Manjeet the Macabre, Dr Salvador Dias and Spitfire Jane. Here are my picks:
1) Manjeet - Zoe Saldana. I thought it would be fun to pair her up with Karen Gillan again, after their work together in the MCU's Infinity Saga.
2) Salvador Dias - Oscar Isaac. He's the highest-profile Hispanic male actor I know; I think the role of Jake would suit him better than Poe Dameron.
3) Spitfire Jane - Sophie Turner. She's Nick Jonas' sister-in-law; particularly fitting for this role.
