Britt's pov:

Saying he'd protect me from this new guy that Laila hired to help him made me surprised. I wanted to do anything say anything but after the line we crossed how could I? No one knew where we were well except my friends so I was basically stuck with him in this hotel room. Mentally I was thinking that wasn't a bad idea.

"What are you thinking?" Atem asked

"That we're kinda stuck here since we don't know where or when this new guy will show up." I said

"Not exactly." Atem said

His answer kinda surprised me as I was expecting we just had to deal with what was going on. He seemed to notice but he led me out without a care as I followed. When we were out in public he knew my friends were probably watching as I went along with him. I had my phone as he led me to car and opened the door.

"I know you're being watched for your protection." Atem said

I didn't say anything as I got in the car knowing Zoey had a car so she'd just follow us. He got in the drivers seat as he drove focused on what was going on. I must have had the curious look on my face as he was driving he started to speak.

"We have about a day to get you to safety. I live in Cairo that's how I showed up so fast and was able to get to know your every move." Atem said

"What?" I asked surprised

"My job pays well and my family is originally from here." Atem said but he handed me a tablet.

I wondered why but then I noticed it was clearly on the website he was hired from. I figured I'd be able to figure out who was actually hired on me when I noticed his profile. His picture was a bit scary along with the fact he had no fails and 200 successes. My eyes widened when I saw what he got paid per target.

"148,380,360.00 Egyptian Pounds? You're that good?" I asked

I noticed that he'd been on assignment for more than a week which explained his time around me. I wondered how long he normally took to deal with a target. He surprised me when he started speaking again cause I hadn't asked anything.

"Last Target took thirty minutes." Atem said

"You don't have any fails." I said

"Guess you'll be the first." Atem said as he drove and parked in a drive way "A first in a lot of ways."

I blushed at his words but I noticed his place was a big mansion and this was in the fancy part of Egypt. I didn't even want to know how much money he actually made, none of my business. He got out as he walked over opening my door and took the tablet from me looking over it. He must have noticed who was hired cause he gave a stern look at the tablet.

"Girls you can come out." Atem said

I got out of the car as I saw my friends show up they had followed but they noticed I was unharmed. Atem didn't even seem annoyed by them as he put his hand behind my back and took my phone turning it off. I was gonna complain but he just pushed me forward to walk in the mansion. We came face to face with servants as I was surprised.

"Welcome home Master." The maid said seeing me

"this is Britt, make sure she's taken care of while I tend to things and these are her friends." Atem said

"Is she a new ma-" the maid started but he cut her off "She's mine, not a new maid."

Then he turned to me "You're going to stay here tomorrow, one of the rules of my job we're not allowed to trespass on one of our co workers homes." Atem said

"How lucky." I said

He was right this was the safest place for me tomorrow when the other one showed up. Zoey and the others could help me figure out what to do next on taking down Laila. If one failed she knew that Laila wouldn't stop until she was gone.

Atem walked her around to show me around his place and where things were if I needed to know. As we walked I saw some glares from his servants which was to be expected, I mean we crossed a line but I only know like so much not what's underneath that shirt. Maids tend to their masters so they probably knew what he looked like shirtless, the thought made me blush slightly. He must have noticed cause he suddenly got close to my ear.

"You're thinking about what happened earlier, you have no idea what I could have done without everything." Atem whispered

I wanted to say something but I couldn't knowing he was right, but then I knew I was his first he was with. Maybe that was something that would work for me. He gave guest rooms to my friends as he led me to another room. Before I could say anything to him he pulled me in closing the door and had me up against the door feeling his lips on mine. I kissed him back for a few minutes before I heard him whisper "Jump", I was curious but I did as I felt him catch me leading my legs around his waist and removing the tennis shoes one at a time.

"You're trying to make a move on me?" I asked

"I have a backup plan, if I can't get the other hitman to back off of you." Atem said and I felt him plant kisses on my neck which made me shiver a little "He can't touch you, if you're fully mine."
