Ducktales Movie – Save the Queen Part 7
Donald and Della are back at Lake Averno, they barely manage to open the door and head back inside the barren wastelands of the Underworld. It's just the same as they left it and now they scan the area before them.
Donald: We're back!
Della: Della narrates everything. And so the Duck Twins are back as a team, stronger than ever! Once again they find themselves in the horrifying and ugly wastelands of the Underworld. What dangers will they face this time!? More monsters!? Deadly traps!? Or worse, bacteria that will strip their very flesh from their bones!? Can they overcome it to save their Uncle and friends! Let's find out!
Donald: Donald deadpans good-naturedly. You love narrating too much, you know that.
Della: Della innocently throws up her hands. Hey, it's not my fault I love adding dramatic flair/
Donald: Whatever makes you happy! Now let's go find Uncle Scrooge, Storkules, Selene and all those people.
Della: If I were Hades, I'd throw Scrooge and who I believe to be the biggest problem in the dungeons where they wouldn't cause any problems. We just need to find out where it is!? It'll take all our skills to infiltrate it and bust them out!
Donald: Donald widens his eyes and points. Or the giant sign that points down reading "Underground Dungeon".
Just distances away is a giant colourful neon sign reading "Underworld Dungeon" decorated with skulls and a fiery arrow pointing down to a large hole with stairs leading downward. Donald and Della are both deadpanning.
Della: Well, that was easy. He couldn't have made that more obvious.
Donald: Tell me about it. Is a guy that stupid really supposed to be that tough?
Della: Unfortunately…yes…
Donald: They both exchange smirks. I'll race ya.
Della: You're not beating me there!
Donald and Della sprint towards the area of the neon sign but unbeknownst to them large footsteps were dashing on the other side of the side.
Della: I'm gonna beat you there!
Donald: No you're not!
Just when they get metres away from the dungeon entrance Cerberus leaps from the other side and lands on his feet with a crash, making Donald and Della comically jump and scream in horror. Cerberus roars and their faces are comically almost blown off their bodies.
Donald: What the heck is that thing!?
Della: That's Cerberus, the Underworld's 3 headed watchdog!
Donald: What is it with Greek monsters being multi-headed creatures!? Did Hades know we were coming!
Della: How should I know!? Maybe! At any rate, this guy's blocking our way into the dungeon! We're gonna have to fight our way through!
Donald and Della's fear and surprise are replaced by exchanging smirks.
Donald: How about a Duck Twin team up?
Della: You just read my mind bro. You're on!
Donald holds out his hand and Save the Queen is summoned in a blue blast of light.
Della holds out her hand and Godslayer is summoned in a brown blast of light.
Kingdom Hearts 2 – Sora and Auron vs Cerberus Boss Music
The Duck Twins do a couple of spins with their weapon before getting into fighting stances.
Donald: Boy, have I missed this, sis.
Della: You know what, bro…so have I!
Cerberus roars in their faces but Donald and Della stand side by side defiantly, remaining firm in the face of Cerberus' three headed roar.
Party Members:
Donald Duck
Della Duck
Information: Defeat Cerberus!
Cerberus charges the Duck Twins, lunging its two heads at them. Donald guards against the first head, Save the Queen being caught in its teeth. Della does the same with second. The twins push back with all their strength and centre head releases flaming balls from its mouth. Donald pushes off and bashes the first one its eye and Della slashes the second one across its face before the both of them jump back to avoid getting blasted.
Donald electrocutes with a Thundara spell, making it roar in pain. Della pushes it back by swinging her sword to send out an energy blade. Donald tosses his staff and it smashes into Cerberus' face, making it roar in pain before flying back into Donald's held out arm.
Donald: Wow! It flew right back into my hand!
He smirks and begins tossing the staff repeatedly and it continuously smashes Cerberus like a pinball, pushing it back further and allowing Della to run forward, dodging its claws before impaling its front leg. Cerberus roars and slashes Della but she flips up and back to Donald who casts Water spells that douse its fireballs, followed up by a Fire and Blizzard spell that makes it flinch in pain.
Donald & Della: Trampoline action!
Donald and Della dash forward together for Donald to get on his hand use his feet as springboards for Della to jump off of. She's in the air with her sword ready stylishly for her to drop down and impale its body, making it roar and swerve.
Della: Take this you deadly demon dog! It's like being in a rodeo! Woo-hoo!
Donald charges and the other two heads breath more fireballs but Donald leaps up and epically impales the centre head before lodging Save the Queen in its teeth and forcing its upper jaw to bend back. Della brings up her blade and runs to her brother, grabbing his free wrist for him to swing him down to kick the demon's centre head's eyes. She lodges her blade in its teeth with Donald to bends its jaws back further.
One of the other heads lunge at the twins but Donald jumps off and latches onto it. When it gets above the centre head, the other one proceeds to bite him off but he manage to dodge and grab onto that head with one hand and the 2nd with his other one, stopping them from mauling him. Donald squeezes out through a tight spot, kicking their teeth and forcing them down.
Della: Donald, look out!
The centre head lunges up and proceeds to eat Donald but the Mage jumps off both heads he was on to stick his staff on its teeth and lock it open. Donald and Della jump just as the 2nd head lunges at them. With the heads all confused the Duck Twins reel back their weapon and dive down to deliver combined slash attacks that makes Cerberus roar and drop down in pain. They bounce back and the moment they land, Donald casts a Plasma spell that engulfs the three-headed dog's body and it roars in pain as it gets up.
Della: Let's attack together, Donald!
Donald: Yeah! Come on Della!
Donald and Della jump. The sailor-mage flips and drops down to smash the ground with Save the Queen, unleashing a torrent of electricity that ruptures towards Cerberus. Della swings Godslayer, unleashing an energy blade that flies towards the giant dog. Cerberus is engulfed and knocked off balance by electricity and his underbelly is smashed by the blade. Both attacks send the Demon Dog flying so far when he is practically blasted into the purple pool in the direction of the Underdrome which it drowns in.
…
Donald and Della joyously smack their hands together for soul handshake with expressions of overexcitement.
Donald & Della: DUCK TWINS!
Della: Della raises her first. Woo-hoo!
Donald: They share a high-four. We rule!
Della: You bet we do bro-bro! Man, you really are amazing Donald! Those spells were awesome, your final attack was electrifying and you really know how to use that staff like a pro!
Donald: Thanks! He holds up Save the Queen, admiring his new companion. Oh boy! This staff really is awesome! They called this thing legendary for a reason! My magic's never felt so powerful! He looks back to his sister. And you were pretty amazing yourself Della. You really know what you're doing with that sword of yours! And that energy blade was spectacular!
Della: Thanks, bro! Della warmly smiles at her brother. You know…I'd almost forgotten how great if felt when you and I work together. Even after everything that's happened we're still the perfect team.
Donald: Donald warmly smiles back. Yeah, we sure are. I missed working together like this and I've definitely missed these little twin moments of ours.
Della: I've missed them too. Come on, let's go and find Uncle Scrooge and the others.
Donald: Yeah! He then saddens. But…do you think Uncle Scrooge will forgive me. I mean…I said some really nasty things before I left.
Della: Of course he'll forgive you. Uncle Scrooge felt pretty bad over the things that happened to you. He wanted to apologise too. I'll show you right now.
Deep inside the dungeons was dark room lit up by multiple torches and brown stone floors and walls. Scrooge, Selene and Storkules were caged in a large cell, bound together back-to-back in magical rope. They were guarded by 10 Fire Fiends.
Scrooge viciously struggles to slip out, eventually giving up. The three of them look quite sullen.
Selene: It's no use old timer. These ropes are way too strong.
Scrooge: Can't either of you break free with your strength?
Storkules: I'm afraid not Corporate Overlord Scrooge, these ropes are magical. Our powers are restrained. There isn't a mean of escape for us in this state.
Scrooge: We cannae just give up! There's always a way out! I've been imprisoned far worse than this, I'm Scrooge McDuck! Either someone will set us free or I'll find a way to get out of these bounds if it's the last thing I do!
At that moment, they see a small rock thrown at one of the Fire Fiends. This grabs their attention and all of them hover in the direction the rock came from. Seconds later, Scrooge, Storkules and Selene are hearing the sounds of fighting and clashing, the Fiends getting ripped apart and the last of them sent flying and doused by a blast of water. Their beaks were wide open in shock.
Storkules: By Hephaestus hammer!
Scrooge: What in blazing bagpipes was that!?
Della: That would partially be me.
They watch Della walk up the cell cockily resting Godslayer on her shoulder. Scrooge, Storkules and Selene were overjoyed!
Scrooge & Selene: DELLA!
Storkules: Fierce Della! You're alive! And you're unharmed!
Della: Yup! I sure am. She points to Selene. And it's thanks to this lady here! Thanks a lot for you and your Mom saving me with that portal Selene. I'd have been stuck down here forever with all those disgusting ghosts if Hades had finished me off.
Selene: Aww, don't mention it. Just doing my best to help my new best friend and keep hope alive.
Scrooge: I knew you'd make it alive and back here lass! I'm proud of you!
Della: Thanks, Uncle Scrooge.
Scrooge: How did you recover so quickly and travel all the way across the ocean back here.
Della: Della rubs her hair smiling sheepishly. Well, there's no way I could've done any of this alone. I actually had help.
Della steps aside and when she does Scrooge, Storkules and Selene's beaks were open in sheer disbelief to see Donald had been standing behind Della with a solemn and regretful look.
Scrooge & Selene: DONALD!?
Storkules: Best friend, Donald!? You've returned!
Donald: Donald chuckles a little with a nervous smile. Um…hi guys.
Scrooge: Lad…you came back for us!
Donald: Yeah…I just needed some time to myself to cool off.
Selene: So, how do you feel now?
Donald: Well…I think I'd say I'm at peace again.
He grunts when Della excitedly wraps her arm around him and they exchange smiles.
Della: It's thanks to this guy I'm still here! Donald saved me from drowning in the ocean and fixed me up.
Scrooge: Really!? Is that true, lad!?
Donald: Yeah, it's true.
Della: The two of us had a long discussion on Ithaquack and had heartfelt moment.
Donald: Della and I talked things over and in the end… we hugged things out.
They exchange warm smiles that prompt the other 3 to also smile.
Selene: So, then the two of you…
Donald: Have officially made up!
Della: The Duck Twins are back and better than ever!
The three of them are relieved.
Scrooge: Scrooge breathes his relief. Now, that's a big relief.
Selene: See, what'd I tell you Della? There's no way you two would stay broken apart forever.
Storkules: Your bond truly is one of a kind!
Della: You can say that again! And not only that, Donald sailed us across the ocean and we got back to the Underworld in record boat time. You should've seen how amazing he was Uncle Scrooge, he used waves to speed up the boat and make it move as fast as Pegasus!
Donald nervously chuckles at the praise he's just received and his uncle smiles at him proudly.
Scrooge: I knew you wouldn't abandon us, Donald. I knew you'd come back for us.
Donald: Why would I not? I mean…we're family after all, right?
Storkules: You are a true hero, Noble Donald!
Della: Looks, like you guys are in a tight situation.
Selene: Selene groans. Ugh…tell me about it. It stinks not being able to use our powers and bust out of these magical ropes easily.
Donald: We'll get you out! Della, stand back
Della obeys and Donald brings up Save the Queen, giving it a couple of cool and stylish twirls before aiming right at the cell cage. Storkules and Selene open their beaks in shock to see the legendary staff being held right before their eyes and has been removed from its pedestal on Ithaquack.
Storkules: Be that really be…?
Selene: No way…
Electricity is concentrated in the tip of Save the Queen and is released in a massive blast that explodes on the cell door. Della shields her face and the rest close their eyes. When it subsides a massive gaping hole has been made in the cell door much to everyone's amazement.
Scrooge: Lad…that was INCREDIBLE!
Donald and Della run up and together they slice off the magical ropes that bounded their uncle and the two Gods. Storkules, Selene and Scrooge get up feeling vim and vigour.
Selene: Alright! We're free!
Storkules: HA HA HA! SWEET FREEDOM!
Scrooge: HA HA! I feel invigorated!
Della shares a laughing hug with Scrooge and then Selene while Storkules grabs Donald to bring him in for a bear hug much to the mage's painful charigin.
Storkules: Oh, Donald, you have saved us!
Donald: Donald is groaning in agony. It hurts worse the more this happens!
Storkules: Your bold brand of goodness can only be matched by your heart of heroism and purity!
Donald forces on a smile. That turns into a slight frown when he looks at his uncle talking with Selene and Della. He slips out of Storkules hug and dismisses Save the Queen to walk up to Scrooge who turns with a grateful smile.
Scrooge: Thanks for freeing us lad. I owe you one.
Donald: Sure.
Donald gulps a little and becomes nervous.
Donald: Um…Uncle Scrooge…listen…things got a little out of hand…and…I went berserk earlier back in the Underdrome.
Scrooge looks at his nephew in guilt and Storkules, Selene and Della sadden for them. Della shows worry along with sadness for her family. Scrooge recalls his past mistreatment of Donald, using him as bait and scapegoat, pushing him into a vortex and forced him into the most humiliating and embarrassing situations imaginable that lead up to his confidence breaking and his explosive outburst outside the Underdrome.
Donald: I mean, sure, I wanted attention but I never meant to-
Scrooge: If I had listened to your story earlier instead of ignoring and brushing you off you wouldn't have exploded the way you did. He looks down shaking his head sadly. And it wasn't just that. I've been ignoring you and your feelings for over a year now. I'm sorry for how I've been treating you lately, Donald, pushing you into that vortex, trapping you in that cookie and force you to be bait. And it was wrong of us to force you to fight that Hydra and humiliate you in front of everyone the way we did. I admit I didn't know if you'd survive, the reason I made you do all those things was because I believed in you. You may not realize it Donald but between the three of us you're the toughest. I believed you could pull through all those situations and survive them no matter what they were.
Donald: Donald is still somewhat hurt. Just because I'm incredibly tough on the outside Uncle Scrooge doesn't mean I'm not sensitive on the inside.
Scrooge: Scrooge looks down in guilt. I know that now. I should've realized that sooner but I was too blinded to know that even you had your limits. I've been spending so much time with Della while you were at the Quackmore Institute, teaching her how to see the angles, create shortcuts, take control of a situation and sharing the mutual passion we have for adventure that when you came home… He looks at Donald sorrowfully. …I didn't know exactly how to spend time with you… and I didn't know how to teach you like I taught Della. I thought by putting you in those situations I was toughening you up and teaching you to fight back against the world and your bad luck. But now I realize I wasn't teaching you anything at all. All I've really been doing is making you suffer; feel isolated, humiliated and unappreciated. And I should've know that it was you who sailed us to safety through that storm but instead of being grateful I kept being a braggart over the autopilot function. I've been a real insensitive idiot, haven't I?
Donald: Donald smiles a little, touched by the words. Well, yeah, pretty much.
Scrooge: I'm sorry for the way I've been treating you and making you feel the past year, Donald.
Donald: I'm sorry too Uncle Scrooge…for the way I acted ever since we came to Ithaquack and for blowing up at you and Della like that. I don't know what came over me. I was just so fed up of feeling unappreciated and being humiliated every single time that I completely lost it. I…
Scrooge: Scrooge just smiles at his nephew. It's okay, lad. After what Della and I did and the pain and humiliation you were forced to endure I cannae blame you for blowing up like that.
Della: Della joins his uncle, giving Donald a sweet smile. And after the way we've been treating you Donald, the two of us had it coming. The three of us are family, you're part of it and you deserve way better treatment than the horrible one we've been giving you for so long.
Scrooge: Scrooge walks up to his nephew. Lad, I want you to know that even though it may seem like I favour Della that's not the case. I took in and raised you troublesome twins since you were 10. Donald and Della smile fondly at the memory and the gods smile at the touching scene. The both of you are my kin and I love and care about you two equally.
Donald: Donald frowns a little. But are you sure you still want to care about me Uncle Scrooge? I'm a mage after all. Doesn't that make you hate me?
Scrooge: What!? No! What on Earth would make you think that I would ever hate you for that nephew!?
Donald: Because being a mage means I can use magic. The reason I became a mage was because I wanted to use my magic to help you guys out more and help people and carry out hardwork. I thought I could make you proud of me if you saw that I was using magic to help others instead of some shortcut in life. He looks down sombrely. After everything that's happened up until now I'm afraid none of that matters anymore and you hate me now because I now posses the very powers that you hate so much.
Della: Della looks at Donald sympathetically. Donald…
Scrooge: Scrooge is near tears. Lad, I could never hate you in my life, magic or not. Just the mere thought of hating you disturbs me.
Donald: Donald is surprised. But I-
Scrooge: Magic or not, you're family Donald. Besides your father had magic himself and I never hated him. The only reason why I hate magic in general; is because the way I've seen it used was either mostly for trying to kill me or others or as shortcut for hardwork like that lazy loafer deadbeat of a nephew, Gladstone. I guess my experience made me think that. In your case, you use your gift for a better purpose, just like your Daddy.
Donald: Father…
Scrooge: Despite what you've had to put up with from both of us you defended both me and your sister from the Hydra. I'm proud of the way you use your gift Donald. You used it today to protect us and like you said you want to use it carry out hardwork instead of using it to avoid it. That's how I believe magic should truly be use. If I hate it's because I rarely see it be used the right way: to help others. So, Just because you're a mage doesn't mean I don't see you any other way than I already do. Scrooge and Della warmly smile at him. You're still my nephew.
Della: And you're still my brother, Donnie. Always have, always will be.
Donald is close to tears, touched by the love being shown to him.
Donald: I-I-I... I dunno what to say...
Scrooge: Scrooge's face contorts with guilt. I'm sorry if I made you think I would hate you just because of my experience with magic and through what I said on the boat..
Donald: Donald just smiles. It's ok. I forgive you.
Scrooge: Remember this, my boy: If I'm hard on you lad…it's because I care about you.
Donald: Donald is touched almost tearfully. Aww, Uncle Scrooge. I care about you too.
He opens his arms and Scrooge does the same. They both walk towards each other and embrace in a father-son kind of hug, making amends and reconciling. Della tearfully watches to see her brother and uncle hugging and Donald happy again. Her twin reaches out to her and Della gladly takes his hand before getting pulled in. Now Donald, Scrooge and Della are sharing a group family hug which Storkules and Selene watch, close to tears of joy as they wrap their arms around each other's shoulder. The three ducks separate and everyone get down to business.
Scrooge: Alright! Now that, that's settle let's get down to business! Scrooge walks up front to address the entire group as they gather in a line. Hades has the Gods…and Zeus imprisoned to secure his conquest over Olympus and possibly Earth.
Storkules: And with the cosmos perfectly aligned his powers have increased tenfold. Even I can't beat him combat.
Della: Don't forget how he beat me to a pulp before.
Selene: Selene cringes a little. We try our best to forget that horrific scene, we really do.
Della: How are we supposed to take down Fire Boy, Uncle Scrooge?
Donald: We can't lose hope! Now that we're all together we can defeat that Pantheon Pyro-headed Palooka!
Scrooge: Exactly! Donald's right! We can defeat that egomaniac Hades if we work together!
Della: Della, Storkules and Selene brighten up with hope. Yeah! You're right Uncle Scrooge! She pats Donald's back. Plus, this time we've got our new secret weapon on our side!
Donald: Donald smiles, being referred to as the secret weapon. I'll bust out my mage powers and douse Hades' flames! And he'd better watch out now that I have this!
Donald holds out his hand to summon Save the Queen which he gives a couple of twirls.
Donald: With this baby I'll make Hades sorry he ever messed with us!
Storkules and Selene look at Donald holding the staff in amazement.
Storkules: It truly is…! By Hephaestus Hammer, Mage Donald, you're holding Save the Queen!
Selene: I can't believe it! You pulled out the very staff not even god could remove right out of its pedestal!?
Scrooge: Even Scrooge is surprised. I'm sorry but did you just say Save the Queen? As in the legendary staff that Hephaestus had forged and had been placed on a pedestal that no one, not even the Gods could remove it from.
Storkules: Yes, indeed! You are well-versed in Greek Mythology, Scrooge! The staff had been lying in wait of its chosen wielder who it believes to be worthy! Donald…you are the chosen one!
Selene: The staff has deemed you its worthy chosen wielder, Donald! It's been waiting centuries for a chosen one and now it's found him!
Donald: Donald chuckles a little. Yeah, it surprised me too. Out of millions of people in the world I was the chosen one for this amazing rod.
Della: Della softly touches her brother's shoulder. I'm not surprised one bit. I always knew you had what it took to be able to pull something like this out.
Scrooge: Scrooge surprises Donald by wrapping his arms around him. Hoots-mon!Congratulations, laddie! Along with your magic you've been gifted with a very special treasure. You seem to be destined for these sorts of things Donald!
Donald: You really think so?!
Storkules: Storkules and Selene give proud looks. We all know so Faithful companion, Donald! Your bold brand of goodness, the love and care you possess for your family, your sheer determination through your physical and emotional struggle, your heart of gold and mage powers have earned you the right to wield one of the mightiest weapons in the entire cosmos.
Selene: Selene bends down a little. That's right! You should be proud of yourself Donald.
Donald: Donald blushes from all the praise. Aww. You guys are too much. Thanks. He becomes serious again. Now come on! Let's go get that big Pantheon Pyre-Headed Palooka!
He raises his staff epically, as does Scrooge and Della with their cane and sword and Storkules and Selene with their fists.
Scrooge: AYE!
Storkules: HUZZAH!
Selene: YEAH!
Della: Right on! And this time, we're the ones with the element of surprise on our side!
She spoke to soon because right after saying that they're surrounded in purple light and are teleported.
To their utter surprise they're right back inside the volcano on the centre of battle platform filled with boulders. They all look around and gasp in surprise to see the Greeks cheering for their return and the ghosts booing. Storkules and Selene then look to Hera.
Hera: Storkules! Selene!
Storkules: Mother!
Selene: Mom!
Donald: Uh…what just happened? Where are we!?
Della: We're back inside Hades' volcano castle!
Scrooge: What the blazes!? How under Earth were we teleported back to this vexatious volcano!?
Hades: The answer would be me.
Donald, Della, Scrooge, Storkules and Selene look to see on the other end Hades evilly sat on his hovering throne, grinning maliciously.
Donald, Della, Scrooge, Storkules & Selene: HADES!
They become angry and determined, ready to fight and defeat the God of Death.
Next up is Part 8!
