Leaning against the hood on the squad car, Sky had his arms folded across his chest as he waited impatiently for Jack and Z to show up, he had already called into base and had been told to wait for the Red and Yellow rangers to arrive at the meeting point but that was almost 10 minutes again. Looking back towards Bridge who had taken a spot on the side of the car to lean, he was starting to worry about his friends but had taken his mind off Jack and Z by talking about Syd. "If Syd were here what do you think she'd be doing?" Asking his teammate, Bridge smiled as he thought about his friend with hope as he was going to remain as positive as he could about their 'sleeping' pink ranger.
Hearing Bridge talk about Sydney with hope in his voice, Sky let a small almost ghost smile form for a second upon his lips before he turned back to his stern and sometimes cold face. "Well Bridge, no doubt she would have checked her appearance in the side mirrors" Thinking about how she didn't need to primp in front of the mirror she was beautiful the way she was, Sky wondered if he would ever get to see her do such an action again. It was an action that she mutable times a day and most of the time it went unnoticed but now that she wasn't around to do it was something Sky was missing seeing, most people saw her doing this and would think she was shallow; caring only about her looks but if they looked a little deeper they would see that she was even more beautiful on the inside. She cared for everyone, making sure they were ok, cheering them up with just her smile and laugh alone.
Watching the chance in posture in his teammates movements Bridge smiled as he walked around to the front of the car and lent beside Sky, his hands placed back on the hood as he was getting tired of waiting, it was strange that Jack or Z hadn't called in yet but knowing them they might have been following something and waiting for the right time to call it in. "You know she feels the same way that you feel about her right? For as long as I can remember the two of you have been hiding your true feelings from each other when both of you could have just opened up and you wouldn't be waiting for her to wake up so you can tell her and vice versa. It's a stupid rule in the handbook and yes I just called the handbook stupid, I mean you chant change how the heart wor-"
A beeping sound from Sky's belt cut Bridge's speech short; saved from a running monolog by the beep. Reaching down and grabbing his morpher Sky shook his head slightly as Bridge seemed a little bewildered that he had been cut off, "Go ahead Kat" Speaking into his device as he held it up to his face Sky wondered what was going on that Kat would have to call him.
"Sky, Jack and Z's morph alarms are going off and neither of them has made contact to the base. Something's wrong. According to the GPS on the jeep they are back at Piggy's place, you are Bridge better get over there" Kats voice sounded worried about the other two rangers and this caused concern from Sky, alright he sometimes didn't get along with Jack, like right now but they were a team and Sky knew that they needed to work as one if they were going to save Syd.
"On our way, Tate and Carson out" Rounding the front of the car and jumping inside Sky waited the half second for Bridge to put his seatbelt before he pulled away from the gutter and out onto the road back into the city and towards Piggy's. If Jack and Z had morphed they were obviously in some kind of trouble, but why had they gone back? There had been there this morning and Piggy said he knew nothing, although how far could you really trust him, sometimes they got the truth and sometimes you got lies. You never knew until you investigated.
Stumbling back from one of Morgana's powerful blasts, Jack was glad when Z's hands gripped his arm, stopping him from falling over completely. "Don't think you're leaving me alone to fight with her" Pulling him back up, Z had just about had enough of the wicked woman's ways. She had the most run ins with her and grew a large distaste for her rather quickly, reaching for her belt and grabbing her morpher and activating an emergency call out for Bridge and Sky at their location. Attaching her morpher back to her hip Z duplicated herself again, giving them the better chance for a moment before help arrived. Sending her two doubles off towards the enemy before she stepped forward herself and to action into her own hands. Swinging her leg around against Morgana's shins Z sent her back against one of the tables, chairs falling back as she was trying to stabilise herself.
"Is that all you got" Pushing herself back to her feet again, Morgana placed her hands against her hips for a moment as she surveyed the yellow ranger, looking her up and down. Seeming lost in the battle with the other girl to forget about the red ranger. Jack had managed to slide out of view for a few seconds as he crept around the back of the caravan, phasing himself though the walls to give him the element of surprise to Morgana. Watching her movements carefully Jack was reaching for the black bag that held the crystal but with Morgana's movements he was finding it just out of his reach.
Running around the corner from the alley way they had walked only a few hours before Bridge held his hand out to stop Sky from running past him or making too much noise that would grab Morgana's attention and alert her to Jack being so close to getting what they needed. Coming into contact rather harshly with Bridge's arm, Sky felt the air being knocked out of his lungs at the impact as he had not been expecting to be stopped at a moment like this. Lowering his head in a moment to catch the breath that had been knocked out of him, looked up at Bridge trying to ask what he had been thinking but he found for a moment he had very little voice.
Watching the blue ranger leaning over slightly, Z had taken her eyes from Grumm's 'assistant' for only a second but it was long enough for Morgan to make her move. Locking arms with the woman they were now in hand to hand combat with one another, the ranger trying to both shake herself free and keep a grip on her target at the same time. Jack had missed his chance to grab the bag. Turning his head to see Sky now standing up right Jack sent a single nod as the signal to move in, the three male rangers now attacking from behind.
Stepping herself aside a little, Z was able to move herself enough that she wasn't in line of the attack as Sky's blaster sent of sparks towards Morgana's right shoulder and hitting her with clean accuracy. Lifting her head up as the blasts burned against her skin, Morgana rolled herself away from Z, her hand clutching at her shoulder as she felt the sting burn against her skin. This only angered her as if the rangers hadn't have shown up she would have done her job by now and would have the Slumbhyx crystal back into the hands of emperor Grumm; she was really starting to despise the power rangers and everything they stood for.
Grouping together as a the team they should be for the first time since before the incident at the docks, four of the five power rangers stood in line together, looking down at Morgana waiting for her next move as she pulled herself up to her feet and rolled her shoulder against her hand. "I'm really getting sick of you 'Power Rangers' I think it's time we even things up don't you?" Clearly a rhetorical question, Morgana snickered as she pulled out a small silver ball that the ranger knew all too well. Kybots.
As the ball was thrown up into the air and Kybots materialised between them and the woman who had thrown the ball. "How many of these things did they make?" It was always hard to tell if Bridge was actually asking the question or if he was being sarcastic, even if it was a rare occasion it did happen. Bringing his Deltamax striker up, Bridge took the first step towards the Kybots and started counting as with each swipe sent electric sparks from the damaged robotic soldiers as the fall to the ground around each ranger. It was in battles like this that they really could have used Syd's ability as a two time fencing world champion, she could take Kybots out quicker than any of the others could. Always making sure that Morgana had not escaped under this 'smoke screen' of Kybots, Sky cleared a pathway to her first. Not wanting for a second to even give her a moments chance to fall from their sight, the blue ranger knew that if he could block her in they would have a better chance of bringing her and the crystal back to the Delta base. Swinging his arm around in a slow circle Sky created a shield between himself and Morgana, effetely trapping her between the caravan and himself.
"That's a nice little trick ranger, but I have to ask, what is it that got YOU so riled up" Morgana had noticed a shift in the blue ranger, he seemed a lot more determined than normal, of course she knew that it had to be something to do with the missing pink ranger but she was yet to see why he was so much more enraged then the others. "This wouldn't have anything to do with the sleeping pink ranger would it now?"
This touched a nerve, a nerve that was very close to breaking at this point. Using his shield as leverage Sky pushed Morgana back until her back was against the panelling of the caravan, the force making it buckle slightly.
Both feeling and seeing the anger that came just by the mention of the pink ranger, Morgana knew that if she could break down his walls she might have a chance of breaking free from his restraint. "I always wondered what made you rangers tick" Her voice was sickly sweet as she tried to see a reaction from the blue ranger but this time he didn't move, concentrating too hard on keeping his shield intact, it always took a lot out of him to use this power for so long at such strength, he could feel the edges already starting to weaken. Sky knew he had to keep it up, if not for him then for Syd.
About to lose the hold he had on Morgana, Sky was grateful when he saw Jack and Bridge come to stand on either side of the woman in purple, blocking her in enough that Sky was able to finally drop the shield he had been holding with slight exhaustion but he held his own, standing himself back up.
"What are you going to do with me?" Faking fear in her voice Morgana demorphed. With the helmet from her head now gone, she pouted slightly as she looked at the three male rangers that had been blocking her.
"Actually it's quite fascinating" Bridge was about to start of his spiel about the containment cards again when a blast from up above them forced the rangers to jump apart as a ball of fire from just beyond the edge of the caravan sent sparks up around them all. It was more than enough to send the rangers ducking to the ground for cover, hands over their heads trying to keep anything from hitting them.
From up in the corner of one of the taller buildings in the area stood Broodwing, lurking in the dark like he always did. He was on orders from emperor Grumm, orders that he didn't want to follow. To bring Morgana back to the ship. Alive. Swinging his cloak back as he stepped inside the doorway and into the darkness that held safety that he had come so use too, turning himself into his batlike form Broodwing was going to use the cover of smoke of bring Morgana back and get her out of the grasp of the power ranger.
Hearing the sound of the wings Morgana looked up and smirked as suddenly she was swept away, before she could bring herself to recover herself she was suddenly faced with two red eyes that glowed painfully at her and the almighty roar that came from their owner.
Pushing himself up Jack dusted himself off and quickly reached out for Z's hand, pulling her up and making sure she was okay. With the smoke now lifting around them and the dust settling slowly Jack could see Sky and Bridge picking themselves up and looking around. Upon not seeing Sky let out a growl of anger as he had missed his chance, he knew he should have just called for judgement. Bringing his head back down Sky felt as if he had failed Syd, getting the crystal back was there chance to find a cure as it didn't see as if she was going to wake on her own anymore.
Hearing his friend's cry in anger Bridge jumped slightly and lowered his head trying not to feel the pain that was coming from Sky but it was hard not to feel the heartache the blue ranger was holding inside. He wanting to say that things would be alright but Bridge didn't think that words would help right now.
Looking at the dust settling on the ground something caught Z's eye as the sunlight started to come though, something was glinting slightly at her. Something green! Crouching down Z used her hands to brush away any dust that lingered around her as she looked again for the glint that sparked hope from within her. Her fingers soon brushed against something soft that moved against her touch. "GUYS!"
Just that one word snapped the three men out of whatever they had been thinking, gathering around the yellow ranger, all of them now demorphed and looking in horror as Z held her hand up. Colour from her face now gone and her eyes shone brightly with tears that threatened to fall down her cheeks at any moment as she realized what she had picked up and now held in her palm. "She must had lost the bag in the blast" Letting out a sigh as Bridge knelt down beside her and placed his hand against her back, encouraging her to open her palm and let them in on the secret she was keeping.
Opening her hand slowly Z revealed what she was holding. Shards of a green crystal that had once glowed a bright green that now seemed dull and glass like in her hand. The Slumbhyx Crystal now shattered and powerless.
