Five Night's at Freddy's: The Movie
Chapter 7: Blackmail
Vice President of Programming Office
Randall had big plans for what he was going to do.
One of them was getting rid of Freddy and friends once and for all.
Sitting in his chair in his new office, he was currently talking about it to his caller on the other end of the phone, though the caller was not responding well on the plans.
"Oh, don't give me that, Glen," he said, "it's over, I've already got things in motion. I already letten Donna know about it, so by the time the show's finished, we can begin the moving process and deconstruction."
A knock came from his door, as Cedric entered the room, a smile on his face.
"Hey there, Mr. New Vice President of Programming!" Cedric said, playfully, "Who's ready for Freddy?"
Randall just looked at him unamused, before speaking to the phone, "I'll call you back, Glen."
As he hang up the phone for the moment, he looked to Cedric as he asked, "How can I help you, Mr. Doyle?"
"I was wondering if I could have a moment with the new Vice President and see how things are?" Cedric asked.
"They're fine…" Randall said, before looking to Cedric, "As a matter of fact, I've been meaning to talk to you for the moment. Concerning Freddy and Friends."
"That's brilliant." Cedric said with a smile, "Because I was wanting to talk about planning for the show's 350th episode later. It will feature a new group of characters Freddy and friends, like Percy the Polar Bear with Poppet the Bunny Puppet, Mr. Hippo and-"
"That won't be necessary." Randall said, stopping Cedric's talk.
"Oh, so you've already sorted out the planned episode?" Cedric asked, "That's alright, so we can introduce the new characters following that episode and-"
"There won't be new characters for the show," Randall said sternly, as he then said, "because, as my first act as Vice President… I'm canceling Freddy and Friends."
Cedric froze as he heard that, as he looked to Randall with disbelief eyes, as he let out a flat, "What…?"
Meanwhile, Sid had just finished getting all dressed up for the next part of the show, wearing a golden tuxedo with a black bowtie, after taking another shot of whiskey, he looked in the mirror of his vanity table and muttered, "Showtime, A-holes…"
When he first got the gig at the studio, Sid enjoyed the showbiz, but soon, his time in the limelight faded a little as he was then asked to take part in the Freddy Fazbear show, something he was not comfortable with, especially as he remembered the old animatronics at the diners that creeped him out.
He never liked doing this job, and to drink out his woes, he always drank, but had to keep face to impress the fans of the show (though some of them didn't like his character, Stevie, which made sense as he didn't like them or the staff so they were even), and was wondering if he'll ever get a break.
As he stepped out of his dressing room, he started heading to the show to prepare for the final parts, which would include the darn Wheel of Endings, then he would go back home, only to return tomorrow for the same routine once more.
"Are you kidding me?!" he heard a voice, an angry one, as he was passing the office of the new Vice President, Randall, as the door was left open, he carefully leaned in, out of sight but enough to hear what was going on. As he listened, he was certain that was Mr. Doyle's voice.
"Are you actually going through this?!" he added.
"Yes, Cedric," said Randall, "I told you, it's done. The show's canceled."
Sid's eyes widened as he heard those three words, then continued listening in to the argument.
"Does Donna know about this?" Cedric asked.
"Yeah, I told her," Randall replied, "and boy, she was peeved off the level."
"I can't believe I'm hearing this." Cedric grumbled, then looked to Randall, "Don't you care about this show? Don't you know how popular it is on the ratings?"
"Of course I don't!" Randall replied, as he smoked his cigar, "So what if it is a big hit, most other shows that are top on charts would get canned."
"Unbelievable." Cedric said in annoyance, "I can't believe you would do this, Randall! This is the last bit of legacy of the Fazbear Franchise! Freddy and Friends have been a part of the Spintop Studios family for years, your own father knew that as well!"
"Yeah, well, my father ain't here anymore," Randall spiteful said, "those days with Freddy are done. And besides, the show's gonna free up two stages, not to mention what we can do with all that tech."
"What do you mean?" Cedric asked, not liking what this may be going.
"I have a buddy, Mr. Cage, who's running a family entertainment centre called Wally's Wonderland… or was it Willy's Wonderland? Whatever." Randall said, questioning the name of the indoor theme park, before coming back to the subject as he explained with a greedy grin, "But the point is, we're gonna tear those fuzzy freaks apart and sell them to the theme park division."
As the argument continued, though after hearing that last part, Sid let out a sly grin of his own. The show was getting canceled, and the Fazbear Gang were gonna be sold for scrap.
Having heard enough, Sid headed off to the stage, his mood changed from annoyance to mean glee, as he knew that what happens next will be the last time he does this showbiz mess.
"Now you see here, Randall," Cedric fumed, furious at what he heard, "you maybe the Vice President of programming, but I'm still the producer here. And I'll make sure that anyone who'll support me will be able to make sure this doesn't move forward!"
Randall just kept his smile on as he said, "I was wondering you'd say that. Check my desk."
Cedric was unsure what he meant, and when he went to the desk, he saw a file on it and picked it up.
Randall smirk evilly as Cedric opened the contents of the file, and saw several papers, the original founder's hands started to quiver, and then he looked at Randall as he asked, "What is this?"
"That would be all the info files and documents on the entire incident with the missing children fiasco." Randall smugged, "I've been doing some research on every detail, and I noticed that you were at these places where the disappearances took place. When I saw the info about the 'reanimated carcasses' of one of the diners, I figured that these must be from the certain bodies of children…"
Cedric fumed as he said, "How dare you… you think that I'm responsible?!"
"Perhaps. Perhaps not." Randall smirked, "Either way, that if you move a single finger to try and stop me, I'll make sure that you are sued and arrested for possible involvement with the disappearances."
Cedric just growled at hearing that, "You wouldn't…"
"I would…" Randall smiled, "It's a real shame that things started heading downhill after what happened with you and Will-"
"You leave what happened between me and William out of this!" Cedric snapped.
"Then I suggest you keep your nose out of my business," Randell smirked, then gestured to the door behind him, "you know the way out."
Cedric just growled as he put down the files with a thud on the coffee table in front Randall, and started to walk to the door.
"You can forget about this Fazbear crud, Mr. Doyle," he heard Randall say, "it's no longer your concern now."
As he reached the door, Cedric looked to Randall, sitting in his chair, his back turned at him, "You are making a huge mistake, Randall. And mark my words that you're going to regret this."
As Cedric stormed off, Randall brought back his phone, as he called back Glen, "Hello? Oh, it was no one important."
Randall then huffed at what the other line said, and finally said, "I'm telling this for the last time, the Freddy Fazbear and Friends show is done! It's my call! Oh, and Glen… live with it."
After he hung up, Randall let out a mean chuckle, things were going to go his way…
And then… he heard it.
A small little groan.
And it came from behind the folding shade stand at the end of his office.
Randall's smile faded, as he began a curious step towards the stand.
Was someone else in here?
He stepped closer…
And closer…
Closer…
SLAM!
Randall turned around fast, and saw that his office door had slammed shut.
"Hey!" he cried, as he walked up to the door, and tried to turn the knob, but it wouldn't budge.
He began banging on the door, "Are you kidding me?! What the hell's going on?!"
As he continued banging the door and twisting the knob… he thought he heard a deep chuckle, coming from the other side of the curtains of his office window, that were closed up.
Randall began to sweat with nervousness.
As he carefully stepped towards the curtains, he thought he could hear a slow, playful, music box-like version of the song 'Toreador March' playing from behind the curtain.
Randall gulped, slowly brought his hand to the curtain.
He then drew it open…
And yelped as he saw Freddy, face and paws pressed on the glass window.
Randall panted and felt like he was out of breath after the shock…
He then began to turn… only to face Orville as he let out a shriek and grab the Vice President, dropping his cigar in the process…
