Gaete panted and brushed off his jacket as Rex popped out of his glasses.
"I forgot how fragile humans are." Rex pointed out while Gaete hummed and brushed off the glasses. "So, about your new friend." Rex said as he and Gaete turned to look at Satsuki.
"Remind me why I shouldn't eviscerate you?" Satsuki questioned while Rex hummed.
"Well, would you like Gaete to point it out?" Rex questioned before tapping the human on the head. "Because he's a giant nerd outside of computer work." Rex pointed out while Gaete turned to him.
"Ignore the talking neon gecko." Gaete responded with amusement. "We're still working through things…. But things are not easy to explain." Gaete added before Satsuki hummed.
"That being is not of this world…" Satsuki observed which made Gaete and Rex share a look. "Is he?" Satsuki questioned while brushing a hand through her obsidian hair.
"Uh…" Gaete said while scratching at the back of his neck. "Yes. How exactly did you…?" Gaete started to ask only for Satsuki to hold up her hand at them.
"This isn't my first encounter with extraterrestrial life." Satsuki put in which caused Gaete to hum.
"Ok then?" Gaete questioned before turning to Rex. "With all damn respect? Why exactly did you have me go and find her?" Gaete asked Rex who hummed.
"Well, clearly you got the answer to your question right there." Rex responded. "And that gear you had certainly been human. You aren't as human as you look, are you?" Rex asked while tilting his head to the side.
"That isn't something I will tell you." Satsuki said before turning to Gaete. "I assume you both know something about those creatures who tried to kill both of us?" Satsuki asked while folding her arms.
"Only that their aliens who want to eat Rex." Gaete responded with a sigh. "If I knew anything else? I'd be telling you. what I do know. There's plenty of things I don't know at the moment. I Kind of fought someone like one of the aliens." Gaete stated which caused Rex to nod.
"Yeah, he's not exactly lying about that." Rex put in as Gaete hummed. "We have somewhat of a very weird story that would explain how we ended up like this. I'm not sure if you would like to have it explained or something? It's kinda a long story." Rex added as Satsuki hummed.
"We have time." Satsuki put in before she brushed off her uniform which caused Rex and Gaete to look at her.
"This is going to be a very talk, isn't it?" Gaete questioned Rex who clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
"Hit the damn nail on the head, kid." Rex pointed out while Gaete sighed. "Anyway, I would take a seat…. Things would end up being weird." Rex stated while he rubbed his fingers against the palms of his hands.
Gaete could only hum as Rex nodded before rubbing at his arms.
"Well, it's not that hard if you want to point out what really happened." Gaete stated and put his hands in his pockets. "We're just a bit caught off guard… Then again? If you had an alien speaking to you every second? I'd suspect you'd be as off guard as I am." Gaete put in as Satsuki hummed.
"These aliens want something, don't they?" Satsuki questioned which Gaete looked at Rex for.
"Yes, but they don't act openly like this." Rex put in and rubbed at his chin while he smirked with interest. "Your smart, but their as smart as I am." Rex put in while tapping his claws on the ground.
Satsuki sighed and leaned on a lamppost. She looked at Gaete before opening her mouth once more. Gaete rubbed at his eyes and slowly looked up.
"So, these creatures want me dead because I'm a threat to them." Satsuki put in which caused Gaete to nod. "And your construct is the only one with information on them." Satsuki added which caused Rex to nod as well.
"That's the gist of it, miss." Rex stated and cracked his virtual knuckles. "These guys want something? They hunt them down… They want you both? They will hunt both of you down till they get what they want. You should know that for a fact." Rex said before letting out a yawn.
He was exhausted. He was wondering what these two humans would do. They were outnumbered…. But from what he saw off the girl? They were not outmatched. That was good, but it was a small advantage that could be crushed by much more massive ones.
"Construct." Satsuki said and pointed a finger at Rex. "How much do you know of these creatures?" Satsuki questioned which caused Rex to hum.
"A lot more than you think I do, lady." Rex said and looked between him and Satsuki. "But I would like to point out that this isn't the time or place to be questioning stuff like this." Rex said before Satsuki hummed.
Rex retreated slowly into the glasses, taking a look at Gaete for a moment.
"Kid? If you or the girl need me?" Rex asked Gaete who crossed his arms. "Then just call me. I'll try and answer any questions you both have. I want to try and sleep before I get to answering any questions." Rex stated and hummed before vanishing into the glasses.
Gaete moved his glasses to his head. He sighed before Satsuki cleared her throat and gestured for him to follow her. Gaete raised an eyebrow.
"Do I need to force you to follow me?" Satsuki questioned which got Gaete to shake his head.
"Just surprised at how your taking this so far." Gaete pointed out which caused Satsuki to smile.
"Just because I am aware of these things?" Satsuki questioned and looked at Gaete. "That doesn't mean I trust you… It's just a strategic option which I think benefits us both… You wanted my help, did you not?" Satsuki asked as Gaete nodded and looked to the side.
"Well… Yes." Gaete stated and slowly followed after the woman.
Rex chuckled from the glasses which caused Gaete to glare at the glasses. Rex cracked a smile as Gaete could only roll his eyes.
"This is going to be a long day, isn't it?" Gaete questioned as Rex only rolled his eyes.
"Gee, it's almost like you read my mind, kid." Rex responded and fell silent a moment later.
Gaete sighed and looked at Satsuki who wasn't fazed by the conversation at all. She made him question just how much she knew about all this. It made him more curious about what came next.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that chapters will be 1200-1500 or such. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will show more talking and bonding and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
