8. epilogue

A few months later

"Sugar cube, you sure ya don't need help." Applejack asked Sunset as she tried to set up decorations for nightmare night. She sighed. "Yeah. I can't reach." Suddenly sunset felt herself rise up off the ground. "This good enough?" a voice asked from under her. Sunset saw that she was sitting on her boyfriend's shoulders. "You are such a sneak clay." Sunset chuckled playfully swatting him on the head before placing the decoration into place. "I make it look easy firecracker." Clay retorted ruffling sunset's hair after setting her on the ground. "I'm actually surprised as to how nightmare night is so similar to Halloween back home." He continued. "Hallo- what." Rainbow asked looking at the couple. "Halloween rainbow dash. It's a holiday in clay's home dimension." Fluttershy said. "For a time, it was actually called All Hollow's Eve. Don't know when they changed it though."

Suddenly pinkie ran up to sunset with her journal. "message for you sunset." She said. "Really?" sunset asked. Opening her journal, sunset read what twilight wrote. Her eyes widened. "Hey Clay, princess twilight invited us to go to Equestria for this year's nightmare night. Unfortunately, the invitation is only for clay and I, pinkie. Sorry." Sunset said with a sad smile on her face. She noticed clay furrow his eyebrows. "Something wrong?" clay looked at her. "I'm glad we're able to visit Equestria, but I got a bad feeling that we'll be in over our heads there sunset." He said in a tone sunset wasn't familiar with She was about to speak when Kyra spoke up. "when clay speaks in that tone sunset, he's serious."

Meanwhile in Equestria

A pony was running through everfree forest. "need to get out. Need to get out." He said panickily. Suddenly he found himself at a dead end. "No. No. No. No!" a low groan was heard as a shadow engulfed the pony. He screamed in horror as birds flew into the night.

A/N: short chapter I know, but we are at the epilogue. This chapter sets up the next story in the dimensions saga, which is part of a side series to the Equestria girls trilogy which is act 1 of this saga. So, I'll see you in The Curse of Sunny Town. peace
