A/N: Hey everyone! I'm so sorry for the late update. You guys, I've been so busy, and guess what? In addition to school, I've also finished up a small poetry book that I'm publishing! Yay! I'll keep you posted, but it'll be released sometime within the next week or so.
All mistakes are my own.
I do not own FSOG.
Ana was in shock.
She couldn't believe it. The doctor said that there was a high probability, if Ray were to follow through with her treatment, that he would be completely cancer free. She was sitting at the kitchen table as he spoke.
"I'm going to start right away with it. She said it could take anywhere from three to six months."
Ana snapped out of her stupor before smiling at him.
"Where is it?"
"It will be in New York, where she will have everything she needs. I'm sad to be leaving the both of you, but I think it's for the best. The quicker I go through with this, the faster I can come home and live."
Ana's eyes teared up at that.
"Dad. I'm so happy."
"Thanks, kid. I'm happy that I get to see my grandson graduate and grow up into a fine young man," he said smiling bright. Ray stood up and sat beside Ana before hugging her to his side. She seemed to collapse into his arms, unable to stop crying.
"It's going to be okay Annie," he said softly to her. Ana nodded before gripping his shirt like she used to do as a child.
"I'm so happy dad. That you'll be okay," she said before sitting up and wiping her cheeks. He smiled at her.
"Me too. I have to thank Christian for bringing the doctor to my attention." Ana cleared her throat before looking away.
"Yes, well. What would you like for dinner?"
"Annie-"
"I'm thinking of your favorite pot roast and mashed potatoes. Teddy surprisingly loves that meal as well."
Ray opened his mouth ready to talk to his daughter about Christian when Teddy came running into the room.
"Grandpa you're back!"
Christian was annoyed.
He was dealing with a trading deal with some new clients. He already closed deals with Thailand, Japan, and Russia, but he was having difficulties with some newbies over in Ireland. They needed to be reminded of why he was the biggest and most successful weapons dealer in the United States.
"Sir. Your father is here," Taylor said. Christian nodded.
"Send him in."
Moments later Carrick came strolling through smiling at Christian.
"Son. So glad to see you," he said before hugging Christian. He returned his father's hug before pulling away.
"You as well. How was your trip?" He asked. Carrick chuckled.
"It was good, son. Your mother was so happy to visit Napa. I believe she got hammered, and had her way with me on Saturday," he joked. Christian shuddered at the thought.
"Please, dad, do not tell me what you and mom get up to. You only had sex two times and that's it," he said before walking over to the liquor cabinet. Carrick burst into laughter at that.
"Son, your mother and I were young once too, you know," he said with amusement in his voice as he took the glass Christian offered him.
"Yeah, well," Christian muttered. Once he was back in his seat, Carrick glanced around the office.
"I see you haven't changed much," he said. Christian was working at the docks, and his father's headquarters. He liked to keep the two separated, his business at Grey Enterprises and the Grey Weapons.
"Why change perfection?" he joked. Carrick grinned.
"Touche. Now, before we get into business, how is my grandson?" he asked. Christian grinned.
"Teddy is great. He just one another soccer match. They say he's up for MVP. I'm proud of him," Christian said smiling broadly. Carrick chuckled.
"You should be. He's a good boy. Bring him by the house. Your mother brought him some stuff while we were away."
Christian raised a brow.
"You mean you brought him some more toys, and are blaming them on mom," he said. Carrick winked.
"That's my grandson. It's in the grandparents handbook. Spoil the children rotten. You can't take that away from me."
"Yeah."
"How is Anastasia?" Carrick asked. Christian sobered up at that.
She hates me.
Not talking to me.
Knows what I do but is unwilling to bend.
"She's good," Christian said diplomatically. Carrick grinned at that.
"She's been putting you through the grinder huh?" At Carrick's question, Christian ran a hand over his face.
"She knows, dad. She's known all along. Ana knows, but she won't give me the chance to make it right." When Christian glanced up he was surprised to see nothing but acceptance on his face.
"Why aren't you surprised?"
"Because your mother told me. That woman is too perceptive for her own good. I owe her five-hundred dollars by the way. You kids are too expensive."
"Huh."
"Anyway," Carrick continued, "Your mother said that Ana must've gotten wind of it before your wedding day and decided not to go through with it."
"But-"
"I told you to let the girl know. I thought you did when she said yes to your marriage proposal."
"I just wanted to protect her from this," he confessed. Carrick steeped his hands together before nodding.
"I can see that. However, you didn't think of the consequences should she have found out. And she did. Christian, you put her in a tough spot. Her father was the former chief of police. He's retired now, but what did you think would happen? She's been taught to believe in the law. We have seen otherwise."
Christian crossed his arms over his chest.
"I just didn't want her to say no to me."
"And now here you are. It's some years later, and she's still saying no. Her father is dying and-"
"He's not."
"I beg your pardon?" He said confused for a moment. Christian clarified it for him.
"Ana's dad is not going to die. I called in a specialist. It took several months, but I was finally able to plead his case. Along with a lot of money. He went today and it went well. He called me before Ana came and picked him up. He said that he would be leaving in the next couple of days to head back east. We talked, Ray and I."
Carrick nodded looking deep in thought. The two men were silent for a moment before the elder spoke.
"I think that's good. You need to be on good footing with him should you want Ana back. And you do want her back, right?"
"I do," he said quietly. Carrick sighed. He then leaned forward.
"I'm not going to lie, son. Ana is a strong-willed person. She has a good head on her shoulders, and at the end of the day, she is going to do what's right for Teddy and herself." Christian felt his confidence weakening at his father's honest words. Before he could agree with the man, Carrick continued.
"However, you're a Grey. And we don't play fair. Ask the man who was trying to marry your mother before I took her away from him," he said leaning back and smirking. Christian's eyes widened in shock.
"I thought you and mom-"
"Like I said your mother and I were young once." Christian wanted to know more about his father snatching his mom from someone else, but thought to ask later. Christian sighed.
"What do you suggest then?" he finally asked. Carrick grinned.
"Make it so she can't live her life without you. Be creative. You're a Grey afterall. Now, tell me about these Irish men."
Ana was beat. After making sure her father boarded the plane safely, she took Teddy to school, who was more than excited to be a part of his baking competition during his fourth period class. The three of them-Ray, Ana and Teddy-stayed up all night baking cookies and cupcakes for all the children in his class. He was happy, and although everyone was a bit cranky, it went off without a hitch. Soon after Ana dropped her kid off at school, her editor called her in to discuss her new book, and the schedule for the current one. She was grateful that Kate had volunteered to pick up Teddy along with his cousin to spend the night at their home. It would give her a bit of a reprieve from the past couple of days. She was happy to be home and currently in her bath soaking. She heard her phone ringing and took the cloth off her eyes before grabbing her cell phone.
"Hello?" she said softly.
"Hey," a familiar voice answered. Ana silently cursed the shiver that ran through her body at his voice. Ana said nothing, just waited for him to speak. He did after a moment.
"What are you doing?" he asked. Christian was currently leaning back on the wide chair facing his bed. He was wearing nothing but sleep pants, fresh from a shower. Ana sighed.
"I'm taking a bath. Teddy is-"
"With my brother, his wife, and their crazy kids," he muttered, causing Ana to laugh.
"Yes. Kate told me over the phone to not to bother coming to pick our kid up. She said and I quote, "My brats missed their cousin so he's spending the night, and he will be dropped off tomorrow after school," end quote."
Christian laughed.
"That sounds like Kate. Always bossing them around. I don't know how my brother deals with it."
"Please, Kate is such a pushover for the right person. She just can't let us all know. It'll ruin her reputation," Ana said softly. Christian heard water moving and it took everything in him to not groan aloud. Just the thought of Ana's naked body fifteen minutes away was enough to drive him mad. It wasn't helping that he was getting hard as well. He cleared his throat.
"Your father. Is he alright?"
Ana nodded as if he could see her.
"He is. He landed safely and he's resting for the night. He said a car was coming to pick him up from the hotel and make sure he gets to his appointments on time. Thank you for that," Ana said, knowing it had everything to do with Christian."
"It's nothing Ana, I-"
"No. It's everything. Thank you. My father," she paused hating that her voice broke.
"Ana," he said only for her to interrupt him.
"He is the only family I have. And for you to help him, well I just can't ever repay you. So thank you," she said before sniffling. Christian sighed before looking to the right and out at the Seattle Skyline.
"Ana, I did it for you. Because I knew it would make you happy."
Ana blinked away tears before leaning her head against the bath pillow she brought.
"Christian, you can't think-"
"I love you, Anastasia Steele," he said huskily. "I screwed up when I didn't tell you the truth. It was wrong of me, to think I could keep this from you. But I did, and I can't take it back. I suffered greatly for keeping such a thing from you."
"Why did you? Keep it from me?" She asked. Christian knew the only way for this to work was to be honest with her.
"Because I didn't want to hear no from you. I loved you with an obsession Ana. It's not changed. And because of my stupidity I lost the best thing in my life."
Ana's heart beat faster at that simple declaration. She hadn't realized she was crying until she wiped her face.
"Christian," she said.
"It's been seven years, and I haven't been the same since you didn't marry me."
"Christian, how do you know that we're even meant to be together? You said yourself it's been a long time, and-"
"I haven't been with another woman since you, Ana. And you know how I am," he said darkly. Ana swallowed before sitting up in the bath. She did know how he was.
Vividly.
Christian was almost sex crazed once they started having sex. He was her first, and when he found out, the man became even more obsessive than before. It was crazy.
It was fast.
It was so good.
"Christian, I think that-"
"Just thinking about how you used to wrap your legs around my waist and arch into me as I slid inside of you has me hard as a rock right now." Ana bit her lip at the picture he painted with his words.
"Do you remember, Ana? Do you remember how you used to touch yourself for me before I would enter you? Do you remember how dripping wet you'd get? How I'd make you taste yourself before I would taste you?"
Ana was unable to stop the whimper from leaving her mouth. She ran her free hand down her wet body before she began touching herself. She was unable to stop the moan from leaving her mouth as he continued.
"I would suck on your pretty nipples. I loved how they would get an almost angry red, before they would become swollen. Then I would bite on them until you were calling out my name. Do you remember?" He asked. His voice had taken on a husky cadence and Ana's eyes rolled in the back of her head as her fingers moved faster.
"Christian-"
"Touch yourself baby. Are you doing it right now? Touching my pussy for me?" he said quietly. Ana moaned again before saying she was.
"Good girl. Move your fingers over your clit, slow then fast. You hear me baby?"
"Yes," she breathed out.
"Good. Remember when I would stroke my cock until you took over? How you'd suck me until I thought I'd never be able to come again? You were so good at it. The best," he said before he ran his hand over his hardened length.
"Christian," she moaned aloud. She was breathing heavily into the phone and Christian smiled on his end.
"Are you close?"
"Mm, yeah,"
"I'm glad. Goodnight, love. Dream of me," he said before hanging up the phone. Ana's eyes popped open before she sat up in frustration. She was hot and bothered, and the man didn't even think to-
"Ugh!"
Ana slammed her hand in the water before tossing the phone behind her. He wants to play this game? They can play.
LOL. Here these two go again! Leave me a review, I love you all!
