Gohan went up to his room, crossing by Goten on the way, who was standing outside of her room with her arms crossed and looked up to see Gohan eyeing her in awe. 'It's going to be interesting seeing Goten in all these different outfits,' Gohan thought. 'Especially because Videl wouldn't be caught dead wearing them.' Gohan kept on thinking until he realized he was making an awkward situation and broke the silence.
"Oh, hey Goten." Gohan said. "Did you have fun today, squirt?" He asked cocking an eyebrow.
"Oh, yeah I guess." Goten said, rubbing on arm with the other. In reality she had hated pretty much everything about this day, having to try on girl clothes, getting beaten by Trunks so easily, it wasn't going great, and Gohan picked up on the lie and tried to think of something to cheer her up.
"Well do you want to do anything today? I don't have much homework, how about a spar?"
"No thanks" Goten said, after what happened with Trunks she was completely uninterested in fighting, at least for now. But she didn't feel like getting toyed with from Gohan like she was with Trunks. Gohan was a little taken aback at Goten refusing a spar, that didn't sound like him.
"Well how about we get a fish for mom?" Goten's face peaked up with a big toothy grin, she may have not been as strong as before, but anyone should be able to catch a fish, right? She had heard about her dad doing it since he was a kid when he had a fraction of her former power.
"Yeah, yeah!" Goten shook her head happily. She was jumping around until she turned to face Chi-Chi.
"Oh no you don't miss! There's no way your going fishing with your brother!" Chi-Chi yelled, she knew that Goten liked to strip down when they fished, besides, she wasn't sure if Goten being around Gohan much was a good idea. She worried her looks would distract him and kami forbid she accidently reveal something she shouldn't have, otherwise Gohan wouldn't recover for who knows how long.
"Gohan has to study for now," Chi-Chi said "Why don't you go play with some of your toys instead?"
"Okay mom." Goten said with her head down as she went to her room. She spent the next few hours playing and studying but was still pretty bored. Dinner rolled around and it wasn't much better for the former demi-saiyan, although she was full in the end she envied Gohan for eating so much while she was stuck with a couple plates. Meanwhile Chi-Chi was happy she would only have to cook for one Saiyan now, instead of two.
After dinner Goten went to bathe outside, for some reason Chi-Chi wouldn't allow her to even be with Gohan during then. Goten then went to bed, not feeling like doing anything else today, besides it was already her bedtime. She went to fetch her pj's but instead found a nightgown. Frowning she put it on after a little struggle and plopped down into her bed. Chi-Chi came shortly after and, upon seeing Goten's expression tried to soothe her.
"Is there anything wrong, sweetie?" Chi-Chi said, placing a hand on Goten's forehead and sitting on the bed.
"No mom, I'm fine." Goten lied, however Chi-Chi could see through it.
"Don't lie to me, what's wrong?" She asked again.
"I'm..bored." Goten admitted, Chi-Chi was shocked by her words but understood the situation she was in.
"Don't worry Goten, I'll make sure you'll have one of the greatest days ever, ok?"
"Ok mom." Goten replied.
"Alright, goodnight sweetie, mommy loves you." She said kissing her on the forehead and turning off the light in Goten's room. Chi-Chi knew just who to drop Goten off to, she smiled as she went to her own room to get some rest.
