YOOOOOOO ITS A BOI KINGCRASH. I'M BAAAAAAACCK. Hope y'all ain't miss me(but Ion mind if ya do) got a new chapter in the works and while its under 50% done it should be ready by the hopeful release date of Friday, October 23rd. But while we here let's handle that review shall we?

Mengsk: This is an interesting find. The age old tale of the perfect girl and the underdog. Always a good yarn.

Crash: Yeah I 100% agree its old but gold

Still, this world is little oddball. I'm scratching my head over how this society could function. An entire school system designed to encourage a 'might makes right' mentality. I can only imagine when they aren't hunting Grimm, the hunters are making the civilians life hell. Are there even Grimm?

Crash: That's the thing. It DOESN'T work. The school and the world at large is flawed but everyone doesn't care. Anyone with power loves being at the top and the lower tiers who don't like it get beat./ there are no grimm so no hunters there are police but they're useless.

You could improve this tale by slowly doling out some world building each chapter. Why do these combat schools exist? Is the hierarchy official school policy or something the teachers have turned a blind eye to for generations? Are their consequences for beating a civilian to death or are they trash? The hell is a 'creature'?

Crash: yeah I made this story with the context of reading unOrdinary and watching RWBY so I completely forgot this isn't a crossover and is simply inspired by unOrdinary./ these aren't combat schools but rather regular schools like our own with tournaments and fights for deciding tier placement/ The hierarchy is world policy everyone follows it./ Nope beating down on low tier trash is a-ok in this world/ 'Creature' is a derogatory term to describe someone without powers. Pretty much a slur for powerless people

Love the characters so far. Cannot say I understand Ruby. I'd argue Ruby does not understand Ruby. Feels like she is a ball of sorrow and rage and heroism rolling down a slope. Never sure which will be on top. No specific goals. Only a hatred of a system which keeps people downtrodden. I kinda like it, makes her a believable teen. Side note, for a while there I thought her silver eyes could identify kind souls from bad, hence her illogical belief in Jaune. No longer think that is the case.

Crash: Yeah Ruby is angst queen. She's a person riddled with trauma and ptsd and hates the idea of a hierarchy that ruined her life. She mainly helped Jaune because she saw herself in him and didn't want him to go down the same path she did and end up with massive regrets

Jaune I get. His explosion at Ruby this very chapter I get. Pride. All those beat downs and no achievments to prove his own self worth. You'll wind up with either a broken, even suicidal man, or a prideful, cornered dog who would bite any charitible helping hand. Snapping at Ruby for saving him is the most believable thing I've seen him do thus far in this tale. I was even be a little worried the first thing he'd do with this new semblance is seek petty revenge on all who wronged him and set him on a collision course with Ruby, defender of the low tiers.

Crash: Thank goodness I was scared it came off rushed. Pride is a massive factor for a lot of things in this story and the hierarchy in general

Though, in some exceptional and rare cases, beats down and lack of self worth drive an individual past breaking and pride and to strength. Perfect patience and perfect humility and helps others with no thought of reward. All zen and chill. Like Ren

Crash: The Hierarchy version of Ruby here probably wishes she could be like Ren at times haha.

Well see Y'all at October 23rd and please if you can read unOrdinary at WEBTOON(app and desktop)
