Chapter 7
Sam and Dean headed back to Neal's. They had no idea where the little bald man scurried off to.
The agents had all left right after Sam and Dean. Neal figured that they tried to follow the Winchesters. Since they were back here, Neal had to guess that the agents were not successful.
The Winchesters came up the back steps in the mansion. They were very glad Mozzie realized what they were saying about Crowley was true and gave up his treasure. They had no doubt that Crowley would have made good on his threats.
"Mozzie…?" Neal started as soon as the brothers entered his living room.
"He gave Crowley back his property." Dean replied.
"We had to tell him…what Crowley is?" Sam stated.
"What is he? Really?" Neal asked.
Sam and Dean looked at one another. But, they didn't speak.
"What you said was true?"
Dean nodded.
"Crowley vanished in front of Mozzie. Poof!" Sam said.
"Mozzie recognized us from the airplane wreckage." Dean told Neal. "He's watched enough crime shows to know who we are. He knows how we met you, too. We told him so that he would trust us, at least a little."
"You heading out?" Neal asked.
Dean shook his head. "We'll wait a few days, make sure no one is looking in our direction."
Neal nodded as he headed to the fridge to pull out a couple of beers and his latest bottle of wine.
"Just tell Mozzie if he ever comes across another item that has Crowley connected to it, drop it and run!" Sam paused. "That goes for you, too!"
Neal nodded. Crowley had given him a horrible feeling. It made him very uncomfortable. And, it felt particularly…deadly.
The following day, buried on the back page of the New York Post was a strange little article, covering an even stranger event. It appears the wreckage of Flight 706 vanished overnight from a secure hanger. Nothing was captured on surveillance tape. And the guards neither heard or saw anything unusual the entire night.
