Volja Chapter 9
Upp frá þessu - from now on
It began with no warning, violently rippling throughout her whole body. At first confusion invaded her mind. Unable to reveal what the emotions bubbling inside were. What was this...feeling? She couldn't be sure where it came from, though it wasn't long until she was no longer in the dark. Sandalwood pheromones seemed to seep into her from the very air itself. She knew instantly it was him. He was awake and furious. She had known it would be this way, she was prepared for it. However, being inundated by his emotions was not something she had considered. A fear ripped through her and rational thoughts left her mind an empty vessel.
Through the pandemonium, something else caught her attention, he wasn't only infuriated. What was this other feeling?
As he was drawing closer, coming for her, her thoughts jumped track. Could he sense her too?
Remembering the other Omega beside her, she swung her head to face them. Desperate to convey the fear she had, to try and investigate if they too, felt him coming. All she was met with was contempt.
It was too late to seek support anyway, he had arrived.
"Ganga af, Eira, Rana… Now!"
Time stood still as his words echoed in the small valley. Her eyes locked onto him, unable to look away from his red glare. Body pumped up with rage, completely intimidating and formidable. Scaling up the bank of the river, the Omega kept their eyes low. Unlike her, they dared not look at him.
Maybe they hadn't sensed him coming, but they knew his rage well enough to know when to listen and obey. Disenchanted by the lack of comradery she felt when with them, she could only watch as they retreated. Her hopes fading just as quickly. Indeed the Omega were leaving in a hurry, but not before shooting Ochako one last dagger each.
Splashing made her turn her focus back to the Norse chieftain. She only had a moment to react as he grabbed a handful of her hair. Yanking her body close.
"Stjórna, Mærr, start talking! Sannindi! The truth!"
A familiar tightness in her chest compelled her. Once he commanded, she could not resist. This inclination only grew stronger as their link grew tighter. Even if she wanted to, she could not disobey. The words just started tumbling out.
"You were sick with a fever, I came to give you medicine. The same salve I used on Ulmer."
"A plot? You meant for this to happen?"
"No, you were speaking Norrœna. I was trying to understand you when you compelled me"
"What did I say?"
"I couldn't translate most of it, you were muttering and using words I didn't understand."
The air thickened as his hot breath hit her skin. She heard his teeth grind as he snarled. "How the fuck did I end up biting ya?"
"You grabbed me as I was applying the salve, you commanded me Alpha. Stjórna, I had to obey"
"T'do what?"
"Ganga undi"
"Submit? T'knot?"
"Yes, and… " She began, biting her lip before she could continue.
His grip tightened, pulling on her scalp. She whimpered and tried to grab at his wrist. "And?"
"Þekkjast"
"Bond? I commanded ya t'bond?"
"I tried Alpha! I tried to resist, your injuries were still severe. I was worried and you were not completely awake. But my Omega, she forced her way into control." Ochako said. "I didn't know what was happening until you bit me, but it was too late. We were both beyond any rational thought"
"So we did mate?"
"Yes, Alpha"
"Did you bite me back?"
"N...No Alpha, I didn't know I had to.
"Tch, ósnjallr!"
His lips retreated over the large canine teeth he was flashing. The air around her, and the new space inside her that he commanded, laxed.
"Alpha, I.."
"I commanded you?" He cut her off. "I only remember ya begging"
"Alpha, I've begged before. Even during your rut and you never relented. This time you commanded me," He own questions mounted. She was just as confused as he. "How come? Why this time?"
His face contorted, her words travelling through his mind and bringing on more rage. He wasn't directly looking at her this time, almost through her.
"Fucking Vǫlva!"
"I'm not a witch Alpha"
"No, not you!"
Noticeably his body relaxed, even his grip loosened on her hair. But she was still very much in his grasp. "Uhh!" He breathed out.
The lost pressure he had been exuding over her allowed her chest to drag in more air. Calming her nerves considerably. His facial expressions softened, like a realisation or acceptance had been found.
"Alpha, are you upset to be bonded to me?"
"We're not bonded, not ful-komlīka"
"Not ful-komlīka?"
Searching for the word he grew silent.
"Not completely" The Alpha said, hands still twisted in her hair.
"How am I able to sense you, when I couldn't before?"
"Mating alone allows such things between certain pairs. But the bond isn't complete"
Her mind raced over what could possibly be different between them, that wasn't between him Eira and Rana. She played their moments again and again.
Of course, his wound. If that was possible, healing their Alpha, between the other two omega? Wouldn't they have sent them in to heal him?
"There's something else" She said reaching her hand out gingerly to his chest. However, with his free hand he grabbed her and snarled like a wounded, cornered animal. He was already on high alert, thinking she was tricking him.
As if she would ever be able to now, after being bitten and fucked.
"Please Alpha, let me show you"
Reluctantly he let her wrist go, slinking his arm back to his side. Allowing her to unwrap his bandages. The long thin bits of material dropped to the water below, slapping it as they created ripple in the water. It was uncomfortably quiet while he took in the visual information. His wound looked as if it had almost healed.
"What? How did ya do this?" He asked pressing into the new scar. "How long was I unconscious for?"
"Two days, Alpha. I don't know exactly what happened. But I licked your wounds. There was an impulsion to do so, it was so strong. What was it?"
His eyes had slowly opened wide as she explained. His eyes giving her a front row seat to the musing going on behind them. Then a wave of conclusion washed over his sharp handsome features.
"I don't know"
Lies. He knew, he just didn't trust her. "Do the other Omega's have this ability?" She asked. Fully aware of the answer.
"No"
Finally his grip let go of her completely, her wet hair falling back down her back.
Again, she tried for an answer. "Why did you command me Alpha?" She asked softly. "Does it have something to do with you calling me Frændi?"
He sighed. "So ya understand what that word means?"
"Yes, Kinsmen"
"Let me ask ya Maerr, how come ya didn't run?"
Without breaking contact with his gaze, she answered him. "I'm not entirely sure, I didn't want to leave you, I couldn't leave to go back to my old life"
"You don't want t'go back to the saxons?"
That's exactly what she had decided, while watching him slaughter men sent to recover her, like some lost item. Wasn't it exactly what she had decided, to be with the Norse ?
"Answer me Maerr"
"No, I don't want to go back"
The complete absence of sound was accompanied by an awkward tension. Neither wanting to relay any kind of emotion to the other. Except, he still had not answered her.
"Why did you command me? I thought you didn't want to breed me?"
His large body moved, towering over her as he grabbed one of her arms tightly. The words had set something ablaze inside him. While specific movements apparently made her Omega awaken, becoming turbulent deep inside her.
"I changed my mind, durin' my battle with the Saxon bastard. Somethin' occurred to me that I hadn't considered."
Body pulsing, she welcomed it, encouraged it to rage within her. Though, she couldn't help releasing pheromones into the air, glands swelled in anticipation. The bitch inside was rising, this time however she was less insistent. A mild understanding had been recognised within herself. After watching him spill blood for her, she was warming to the idea of what her Omega wanted. The idea of being his .
Her free arm reached over to his wrist, softly wrapping delicate fingers around the circumference of his limb and tugging at it. Slowly he eased the grip and allowed her to pull his wrist up to her outstretched tongue. Delicately she licked at his throbbing scent gland. Lapping at the oils he was secreting.
Her eyes darted up, looking him directly in the eye. "And what was that my Alpha?"
A low frequency rumbling picked up inside the large man's body. Dipping his face close to her ear, vibrations rocked their way up his throat as he spoke. "That ya'r loyal. Ya proved that to me by not runnin', by bringin' me back to my pack" He said. "For savin' my life"
A staggered moan softly escaped her lips, recommencing her desperate need to soak up, taste his scent. The praise he spoke edged her aching body further. Only breaking her licks to speak. "Alpha, I didn't want to be taken like that"
"How did ya want t'be taken little omega?"
A fire raged across her cheeks. "Off these suppressants" Cooing started. "I want to be yours Alpha"
In an instant she was scooped up and pulled into his taut body, his teeth sunk deep into her neck gland. Loud, sharp moans from the suddenness of his movements were replaced by long drawn out mewing from the rippling pleasure his mouth sent throughout her body. Sharp incisors were replaced by his tongue, pressing, licking and lapping at her scent and blood. Her hands roamed and traced along his defined muscular form. Hips bucked under him, urging his hard shaft to grow bigger.
"Móðr" He almost barked at her. "So Þurftugr"
"Fleiri, more" She edged.
His growling subsided. "Not yet little kitten," He said, letting go of her petite body. Standing and backing away from her. His head dipped and gaze intensified. "There is something else we have to do first"
"The Uraraka family?" Eijiro asked. "Of course! The sword maker?"
Orange stained light engulfed his six strong inner circle of Alphas. In this setting he was more relaxed with his control over them, opening up his body language. And in turn, theirs too. All of them growled in unison.
"The vǫlva?" One asked what they were all thinking.
"She said you needed a Saxon forge? Uraraka…"
Katsuki nodded. "And taka, we find his daughter in a village, and she is Omega? It's as the vǫlva predicted. We are on track." He said, picking a tiny bit of bone out of the meat he was eating. "This needs to be our next erendi before the rest arrive, we must go to the Uraraka's stronghold"
Again, growling erupted around him in agreeance.
"And the Maerr?" A lower Alpha asked. "She did trick you into…"
Any mention of her name, especially from another Alpha's mouth made his back arch up involuntarily. The group instinctually lowered themselves. Things really had changed so much since they left Egremont.
"No!" He bellowed. "There was no trick, it was my own foolishness"
"Alpha?" Eijiro asked.
"I disobeyed the Gods, I didn't listen to their warnings and almost paid for it with my life"
"So what will happen with her now?"
"She is now my Omega, minn" He said, adding a snarl for effect. "She will stay with us"
"Ya going to bond with her Alpha?" Eijiro asked. "Fullkominn?"
Completely, he hadn't considered they had already become partly bonded. Admittedly his awareness of her had become stronger. The feeling was strange, but not as horrible as he thought being bonded would feel. Complete. "Yes, but I must speak with the vǫlva first, I need more information"
Foul smelling herbs wafted their pungent stench into the air. The memory of them would forever be linked to a satisfying feeling that warmed his soul. God had a way of punishing the wicked, and it made his conviction all the more fortified.
"Yes Commander Stain, this very suppressant. It makes the Omega infertile. In fact, if the use is continued for a period of time." He stopped and looked up into the man's eyes. "It can be permanent"
The Saxon Commander, soaked in evil malice, grinned, soft chuckles expressing his delight in the information. His adorned helmet creating a dark shadow over his pinned red eyes.
"They were implemented for Saxon Omega when the invaders first arrived. To stop the spread of the Norse scum"
"Perfect, maybe the savages will kill the little bitch for being barren and unable to produce him pups"
Sighing came from the old shopkeepers mouth. "I still can't believe the lass betrayed her family like that…"
"She didn't betray them at all" Commander Stain said. "She did exactly as she was meant to"
The shopkeepers eyes widened. "The Uraraka's? No…"
"Believe it old timer, the Uraraka family have been trading weapons to those bastards for many years. Traitorous scum!"
