Three weeks later, at Optimus's office, Soundwave chatted with Optimus. The soundwave had recovered and was able to walk again.
"Did I understand correctly, Soundwave? Drives again to go in search of Megatron." Optimus said, tapping his fingers against the table.
"Yes, I'm going to look for him. But Rumble, Frenzy, won't come with me, they'll stay here. My brother Blaster will take care of them." Soundwave said.
"I understand the trip would be too heavy for them, but what about Ravage, Laserbeak, aren't they staying here?" Optimus asked.
"At first I wanted them to stay home too, but they insisted on getting in. So Rumble, and Frenzy, stay at Cybertron," Soundwave explained.
"I admit the decision wasn't easy, they're like my own sons to me. If you understand what I mean by that, Optimus Prime." Soundwave finally said.
"Completely, and I'm sure they also understand it." Optimus said.
Then Optimus got up, and shook hands with the Soundwaves.
"I wish you good luck on your journey, and I hope you find Megatron." Optimus said.
"Thank you Optimus prime." Soundwave said. And an hour later, Soundwave took the space ship, and set out in search of its leader.
Optimus watched him go, and thought.
"Everyone makes their own decisions, and sometimes they have to make a difficult decision. But as the saying goes, do what's right." Optimus thought, and returned to the office.
The idea that Blaster and Soundwave were brothers has been on my mind for a long time. Pretty good idea.
