Hey there! I think there was some problem in the site that chapter 6 wasn't visible earlier. I hope it is visible now. So this is Chapter 7 of OTET.

I solemnly declare that this chapter is dedicated to my DEAR MISTY DI! She is the one who made me admire KaiHil. So, my first attempt in even imagining a KaiHil moment, let alone writing it, is dedicated to DEAR MISTY aka DROPLETS OF BLUE RAIN! I hope you like it Misty Di!

-VELOX THE KNIGHT 07

Hilary was in her room, lying on her bed in the dojo. She was staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. 'I still can't believe Kai said those hurtful words to me. He has always been indifferent to me, but he has never said such hurting words.' A tear rolled down her eyes as she thought of the incident.

She stood up, wiped her tears away and walked out of her room. She went to where the Bladebreakers were training and sat down beside Kenny, who was, as usual, typing on his laptop.

Tyson and Kai were busy in an extremely fierce battle. She stared intently at the battle. 'They look so determined as if this battle is deciding their future.'

"Go Dragoooon!" Tyson yelled.

"Finish him Dranzer!" Kai yelled back.

"Is that what you've got Kai? I have to say that your skills haven't improved even a little since the third championship finals!" Tyson said.

"Oh really? Then get ready for this Granger!"

"I'm waiting Kai. Show me what's new!"

And that was it. A 'supposed to be friendly practicing match' turned out to be a great danger.

"RAPID FIRE SPIN!"

"RISING HURRICANE!"

And the match got directed in a state of alarm.

"Ray!" Hilary yelled "Shouldn't we stop them?"

"I wish we could but it seems impossible in this state!" Ray answered covering his face with his arms to protect himself from the 'Hurricane of Fire'.

Just then a blast occured throwing Tyson and Kai, along with the others, away from the beydish.

"Ahhh..." Hilary sat up pressing her hand on her forehead which was hit by a stone during the blast causing a bruise. She looked around to see Max, Ray and Kenny who were trying to decipher what happened there.

They were also bruised a little like her. Just then it struck her 'Tyson and Kai! They might have been hurt more because of being so near to the beydish!' She searched around to see Tyson lying in a far corner to the left and Kai even farther to the right.

"TYSON!" She ran over to where he was lying and kept his head in her lap, shaking him furiously. Max had ran over to her while Ray and Kenny went towards Kai.

Kai opened his eyes slowly to see Ray and Kenny near him.

"Thank god..." Kenny said

"Kai are you okay?" Ray asked but Kai's gaze was somewhere else. He saw Hilary sitting in the far corner, tears flooding from her eyes, as she was continuously shaking Tyson and calling his name.

'I knew she never thought of me that way. She has feelings for Tyson... Sometimes I think he doesn't deserve her, neither do I...' He was lost in deep thoughts.

"Tyson!" Hilary was still crying. Slowly, Tyson's eyes opened and he saw Hilary crying loudly, holding him in her lap.

"H-Hils..." he managed to speak.

Suddenly Hilary's tears stopped as she looked in his now open eyes.

"TYSON!" she yelled loudly before enveloping him in a hug, crying in his shoulder.

"You're okay... I was so worried..."

Tyson was first surprised by her actions, but wrapped his arms around her after regaining his senses.

Later that day...

The blast was severe but both thankfully and shockingly, both the bladers did not get even a scratch. Kenny explained this to be their spirit combining with their Bey Spirits, that they became so resistant to any wound.

Hilary was sitting in her room when she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." she said but was shocked to see Kai walking in.

He looked at her with his stern expression while Hilary didn't know how to respond.

"I..." Kai began but never completed.

He sighed and moved towards the brunette extending his hand to give her a piece of paper.

She was already confused and now even more puzzled but anyhow, took the paper from his hand.

Kai turned around and went out of the room, closing the door. 'I hope she reads it.'

Hilary sat on her bed and opened the folded paper to see the page completely filled with a beautiful handwriting. She started reading it.

Dear Hilary,

I am sorry about how I behaved yesterday. I don't know what got me... but I really didn't mean a single word of it. You are an important part of this team and we are incomplete without you. Sorry for this late apology too. The reason to my indifferent behavior towards you is because I've never been around girls, that's why I don't know how to act towards them...

Actually, I have never seen a girl as pretty as you are.

You are the only girl I've ever known so closely and that's why I don't want you to betray me...

The most important girl in my life, Your role is indescribable...

From,

The one who does not deserve being called a 'Friend' by you...

Now Hilary was on the verge of breaking into tears. She had never thought Kai cared about her. 'Maybe he didn't mean this letter too, No, he meant it. Kai can be mysterious but he is not the one to make false statements.'

"Wait a sec." She said to herself "This means he really cares for me..."

Later at Training...

Kai was sitting at the dojo porch, leaning against the pillar, eyes closed and arms folded, in the farthest corner of the dojo.

Tyson was sitting and watching Ray and Max's beybattle as he was banned for beyblading today because of the earlier incident.

Kai's eyes were closed but suddenly he felt as he was being watched. He opened his eyes and was shocked to see Hilary sitting right in front of him, her face inches away from his as she stared at him closely.

He flinched in surprise to see her while she just laughed to see the stern captain's expression.

"What do you want?" He asked in his usual tone.

"What? Can't I just sit with you for a moment?" Hilary asked blinking innocently.

Kai just sighed.

"Whoa! Max what was that?" Ray asked as Draciel's new attack knocked his blade out of the dish.

"It's a special attack I mastered yesterday." Max answered smiling "I've named it Viper Wall 2 as it is an adapted version of my trademark Heavy Viper Wall."

"Well, It's really good." Ray said.

They reached to where Tyson was sitting but his expression was too difficult to understand.

He was biting his lower lip, as if trying to control his anger, his eyes were burning with fire and he was glaring at the far corner of the dojo.

They all followed his gaze to see Hilary and Kai sitting together. Just then they saw Hilary laughing as she punched Kai's arm playfully. And to their surprise, He was not being his grumpy self at that time. And on seeing this site, Tyson's anger began increasing.

Overall, they understood that Tyson was Jealous.

"OMG!" Max said "What's this burning smell Ray?"

"Don't know Maxie. Looks like someone is jealous." Ray said dramatically.

"JEALOUS?! I AM NOT JEALOUS!" Tyson yelled.

"Well Tyson, We never said you are, You yourself accepted it." Kenny said typing on his laptop.

"WHAT?! Why would I be jealous of Kai in the first place?!" Tyson asked.

"Because Hilary is enjoying his company." max said smiling.

"So what? She always enjoys my company. Actually, the only company she enjoys is mine!" He yelled.

"Come on Tyson." Max nudged him with his elbow "Admit that you like Hilary."

"NO I DON'T!" Tyson yelled "I mean I do but just as a friend likes another friend!"

"Ohh... I see Tyson... But then again, why are you jealous if Kai and Hilary are getting along well?" Ray said teasingly.

Just then Tyson saw that Kai stood up and walked away leaving Hilary behind.

'Yes. Finally, now she surely will come to me and everything will be normal.' He thought smiling evilly.

Hilary stood up and ran up to Kai, much to Tyson's annoyance.

"Hey Kai!" she yelled.

He turned around and stood in his usual position.

"Thank you" She said blushing a little.

Kai raised an eyebrow, "For what?"

"For calling me... Pretty..." She said looking at her toes, blushing.

The end of his lips curved up into a smile, "So what? Tyson had also said that to you."

"No, he hadn't." She said still blushing "He had called me cute, that also just once. You know he doesn't give attention to how I look. It's the first time someone ever called me Pretty."

"If no one called you that, it doesn't mean you aren't pretty." He said pushing a lock of hair behind her ear as she blushed harder.

That's it for my first try at a KaiHil! Hope I got kai's character right.

Well, I know some Tyhil got in there too... I don't know why but I thought this chapter must look good if it had a clear love triangle in there...
