I'm debating turning this into a fan made manga, but it'll be a while as I'm not very good at drawing people, or backgrounds, or animals. Basically anything that isn't abstract. Unless someone wants to draw it for me, which would be cool. Anyway here's the chapter, sorry for wasting your time.
Izuku walked out of the infirmary headed for the stadium so that he could watch Kirishima's fight. On the way he bumped into Shinsou.
"S-sorry, I should have b-been watching where I w-was going," Izuku said to the boy. "I d-didn't hurt you e-earlier, did I?"
"Huh? No, you didn't. I was actually looking for you," Shinsou said. "I wanted to ask you something.
"W-what did you want to a-ask me?"
"It's fine if you don't want to answer, but I was wondering what you meant when you said that you know how I felt," Shinsou said, his hand scratching the side of his face. "Don't feel forced, or anything though."
"Ah, n-no it's fine, my w-whole class knows about i-it anyway, and I m-mean I should tell y-you cause, we're f-friends right?" Izuku looked kind of sheepish as he spoke. He kind of expected for Shinsou to deny that they were friends.
"Wait, you want to be my friend?" Shinsou asked. "You're not weirded out by my quirk?"
"S-shinsou-kun, I have a q-quirk that allows me to t-turn my blood into any k-kind of blade. No, I'm n-not weirded out by b-brainwashing. Honestly I t-think it's cool." Shinsou put his head down. He guessed that Izuku was going to say something about how he could do all these bad things with his quirk. "Just think o-of all the villains you c-could stop! You'd b-be great in a hostage s-situation!"
Shinsou whipped his head up quickly. "You really think so?"
"Y-yeah! Honestly, I'm j-jealous," Izuku said. "Oh, but you w-wanted to know about I s-said earlier right?"
"Y-yeah, but don't force yourself."
"No, I'm o-okay." Izuku took a breath to calm himself before continuing. "S-so this starts when I w-was six. I was b-born with multiple quirks. A-and when my mom d-died it forced one o-of them to activate."
"How was it forced?"
"S-she was killed in front o-of me."
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"D-don't be, I'm o-okay, promise. A-anyway, my quirk killed t-the guy that killed m-my mom, and because o-of that everyone called m-me a m-murderer," the word came out stuttered, but Shinsou could tell, it wasn't the normal stutter. "S-so that's what I m-meant why I said I k-know how you f-felt."
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't of said those things earlier," Shinsou said, his head turned down a bit.
Izuku sighed and then punched Shinsou in the shoulder. "D-don't be. I'm fine." Izuku smiled at the blue haired boy. "W-well I'm gonna go w-watch the fight. See ya!"
(Time skip to Izuku's next fight)
Here's the line up for the next round:
Izuku vs Kirishima
Todoroki vs Iida
Katsuki vs Uraraka
Tokoyami vs Yaoyorozu
Izuku looked at his opponent. The fight had already been started, but neither moved for a few seconds.
"Waiting isn't manly, so if you aren't going to start, then I am!" yelled Kirishima who ran for Izuku, his quirk activated on his arms, neck, and face. Izuku waited until Kirishima was throwing a punch and then sidestepped and jabbed Kirishima in the side with four fingers. Kirishima went to turn around and round house kick Izuku, but the green haired boy grabbed the offending leg and used it to throw Kirishima up into the air, and then out of bounds.
"So, manly!" And Kirishima was out for the count.
Iida's fight with Todoroki was a sight to behold for Izuku. The against Sero had been quick, wall of ice, over. This one was slightly longer. Todoroki tried to freeze Iida in a considerably smaller wall of ice but Iida used his quirk to dodge and move behind Todoroki in an attempt to knock him out. However Todoroki had fast reflexes and froze both of Iida's legs in place before he could get the hit in, winning him the match.
(Katsuki vs Uraraka and Tokoyami vs Yaoyorozu is the same as the anime)
Finally came a fight that Izuku had been dreading. He was fighting against Todoroki. After hearing about his friend's "daddy issues" Izuku had been extremely out of it. Even his fight with Kirishima had been much longer than it could have been. And then, there was what Todoroki said at the beginning of the fight.
"So I've been wondering, All Might's been seriously interested in you lately," Todoroki said. Izuku gulped. Did he figure it out? "Are you his secret love child or something?"
"N-no! He's like m-my mentor!" Izuku yelled. And then he covered his mouth.
"So, was I wrong then?"
"Yes!" Izuku swore he could hear All Might and Katsuki yelling as well from behind him.
Todoroki took the moment of shock to send a giant wall of ice towards Izuku, who Delaware smashed it before it could make impact, breaking his middle finger.
"I've g-got ten shots, Todoroki-kun," Izuku said. "A-are you going to freeze y-your body before then? Or are y-you finally going to u-use your quirk the way i-it's meant to be used?"
"You don't know what your talking about Midoriya!" Todoroki yelled, sending another wave of ice that Izuku again smashed.
"I k-know enough!" Izuku yelled as another way of ice came. "E-enough to know that i-it's your power n-not your fathers," More ice headed for the green haired boy. "s-so use it Todoroki-kun! U-use it the way you w-want to!"
And then all hell broke loose, literally. Todoroki was burning, his left side alight with fire. "Is this what you wanted Midoriya?! Then fine, but don't blame me later when you wake up in the nurses office!"
Todoroki sent a blaze of fire and ice towards Izuku. Izuku readied a fist and pulled back, jumping towards it. Cementoss stepped forward creating layers of walls while midnight pulled back her clothes and activated her quirk, both knowing that those two boys were likely to get themselves killed if those blows connected.
The shock wave that resulted from the two teens was enough to blind the audience with dust and steam. When the storm cleared all they could see was Izuku barely standing, his arm still out in a punch, and surprisingly not broken, and Todoroki unconscious at the edge of the stadium.
"And Izuku Midoriya moves on to the finals! What a great match boys!" Present Mic yelled. Izuku walked over to Todoroki, who was starting to wake up, and held out his uninjured hand.
"T-thanks for the m-match, Todoroki-kun!" Izuku said as he smiled.
Todoroki just looked at the smiling face before him in awe.
(Time skip Katsuki is Izuku's opponent, Tokoyami didn't stand a chance)
"You know, you're welcome to forfeit if you want Deku," Katsuki said to his brother as they stood on the battle field. "I'm sure Mom would understand."
"S-same goes for you K-kaachan," Izuku said. "Except f-for that last part t-though."
"Like hell I'm giving up! I'm going to win this thing!" Katsuki ran forward, his right arm raised for a swing.
"You a-always start with a r-right hook, Kaachan!" Izuku said as he grabbed the boy and swung him over his shoulder. "So that w-won't work on me!"
"That's your favorite move isn't it, Deku?" Katsuki said, grinning. "That's why I was prepared!" Katsuki let off a small explosion that erupted in Izuku's face, temporarily blinding him. "You can't use your telekinesis if you can't see me!"
'He didn't learn at all from the battle training did he?' Izuku asked himself. He closed his eyes, steadied his breathing, and blocked out the sounds of the audience. It was just him and Katsuki. Izuku could just barely make out Katsuki's breathing, not far to his right. 'Okay, maybe he did learn, but only a little.'
Izuku powered One for All into his left fist. Pulling back his arm he took aim, and punched Katsuki right in the chest, sending him flying. Katsuki used his explosions to keep himself from going out of bounds. Then he used the momentum to fly himself back at Izuku.
"Here's your favorite right hook!" he yelled as he swung. Izuku put his arms up and blocked the blow, his eyes opening as he did so. He could see again. So before Katsuki could do anything he froze the boy midair, and flung him out of bounds with his telekinesis. Or tried to. He blinked before Katsuki could actually land so he managed to save himself.
Izuku ran at his brother. No way was going to lose now, he was so close. Cocking back his already broken arm (sorry Recovery Girl) he fired up One for All and punched Katsuki, who blocked it by throwing up his own arm. Izuku only managed to push the blonde teen by a little bit.
Katsuki prepared another blast from his hands but was interrupted.
"Katsuki Bakugou has stepped out of bounds! The winner is Izuku Midoriya!" yelled Midnight's voice. Izuku and Katsuki both looked down to find that yes, Katsuki's heel was just over the stark white line.
After a trip to Recovery Girl Izuku and Katsuki were now standing on the winners' pedestal with Todoroki and Tokoyami. All Might handed out the awards and both praised and chastised each student as he put the medals around their necks.
"Young Midoriya!" All Might said as he placed the gold medal. "You really need to stop making such rash moves! But, you did a good job kid." Then he ruffled Izuku's hair and turned to the camera. "These are the youth that will one day be saving the world. But remember it could have been anyone of the students up here! You know the drill so yell it with me!"
"Plus Ultra/Thanks for the hard work!" the audience/All might yelled.
Izuku chuckled as he saw his mentor get flustered. It had been a good day. Minus the reprimanding from Recovery Girl of course.
(In a bar in Kamino please correct me if I got the location wrong)
Tomura Shigaraki sat a bar watching as Izuku Midoriya won the sports festival, through the television obviously. "That damned brat!" Shigaraki yelled sending the drink he hand in his hand flying towards Kurogiri who simply dodged while polishing a glass. This was a frequent occurrence. "I'm going to kill that kid. But I'm going to take his hand first, that way he can suffer the way I have!"
"Tomura," said the voice of All for One through the monitor.
"Sensei."
"Please don't threaten to take the arm of my son. I have a very special purpose for him," the villain said.
"That brat is your son?!" Shigaraki yelled. "But I want to kill him!" The light blue haired man was now furiously scratching his neck.
"And you can, but first let's use him to break All Might, the Symbol of Peace!" Shigaraki smiled. Now that, that was not a bad idea.
(With the Bakugou family after the festival)
"All right lets go get barbeque to celebrate!" Mitsuki yelled throwing her arm in the air. Both of her sons followed suit.
"Hell, yeah!" Katsuki yelled. "Let's do this thing!" Masaru just found himself fondly looking at his family.
Dinner was, eventful. Anytime someone noticed the family they would come up and congratulate them. A lot of people told Katsuki he'd do better next year, and a lot more people asked both of the brother's for their autographs. Some people mentioned how they felt Izuku's fighting style was too reckless, setting off the explosions in the race, the large blood blade in the cavalry battle, and then breaking his arms and fingers in the one on one fights. In the end though most of them admitted he was still very good at fighting. After all, he'd won hadn't he.
Honestly Izuku felt as if he was in a dream. Like he was going to wake up and find that reality, Katsuki had won instead.
When they went back to classes on Wednesday all of their classmates bombarded Izuku. Asking him how it felt to win.
"Have you rubbed it into Bakugou's face yet?" Kirishima asked. "I mean he did say he was going to win, only to be beaten by his brother."
"As if he would, Shitty Hair!" Katsuki yelled, his feet on his desk (despite Iida's protesting) and not even bothering to look their way.
"I-it wouldn't be very h-heroic to do something like t-that," Izuku responded to Kirishima's question. "Plus to b-be honest, I'm still in s-shock over winning."
"Yeah?" Kaminari said. "On the way to school today there was this little kid that came up to me and asked if I was the, 'Yeeah~!' guy from the festival. It was totally embarrassing."
"I had a bunch of old people on the train tell me, 'Better luck next time, kiddo," Sero said while hanging his head in shame.
"Everyone, homeroom will be starting soon, please return to your seats!" Iida said. Just in time too because Aizawa wiggled through the door in his sleeping bag. (How does he do that by the way?)
"Morning," Aizawa said as he unzipped himself from his sleeping bag and stood up.
"I'm glad you were able to get out of your bandages, Aizawa-sensei," Asui told the teacher.
"Yeah, the old lady went overboard like she did on Midoriya before the festival," Aizawa scratched his face. "But that's not important. Today's hero informatics class is a little special." The whole class begged that it wasn't a pop quiz. "You'll be selecting your hero names."
"Oh yeah, baby!" yelled Kirishima. "That's what I'm talking about!"
"Quiet. This is related to the draft nominations from pros that I mentioned the other day," Aizawa explained. "The nominations will truly start mattering only after you've gained some experience and your adaptable fighting ability is judged during your second and third years. In other words the nominations this year are really just expressions of interest in your future potential.
"It is also not rare for people to lose interest, so make sure you keep up the good work. Here's the tallies for the nominations." Aizawa pushed a button on a remote and a graph of nominations showed up on the board.
"Sensei just praised us!" the class let out. Even Izuku was surprised. Aizawa hardly ever praises anyone.
"I didn't, now shut up. Typically the results are more spread out, but here they are." Izuku looked at the results. The highest number of offers went to him, and then Todoroki, and then Katsuki. Izuku had 3,628 nominations, Todoroki had 2,847, and Katsuki had 2,093. Everyone else had less than 400 offers. Most of the class didn't even have any.
"Wow, Bakugou and Todoroki swapped places," Kaminari said.
"Probably because of his dad," commented Kirishima.
"Shut up, shitty hair!"
"Now I don't care whether or not you got any offers. I'm still having you get some 'work place experience'. Unfortunately because of the villain attack all of you have already dipped your toes into the world of the pros. But I think that experiencing the activities of a pro first hand will still prove invaluable," Aizawa said.
"So that's why we'll be picking out our hero names!" yelled Sato.
"I'm so excited," said Ochako.
"Well, these names are likely temporary. But I'd still be careful..." Aizawa was cut off by Midnight entering the room and speaking.
"Or you'll have hell to pay later!" the R-rated hero stated "They may be temporary, but many of you will still end up with these names permanently."
"Like she said. I asked Midnight to help you with your hero names because I'm not very qualified for it." Aizawa then promptly went to the corner and got into his sleeping bag. Quickly falling asleep. Midnight gave the class boards and markers to write their hero names on.
Izuku quickly wrote down "Deku" and watched as Katsuki wrote down his. A few minutes later Midnight asked who wanted to share their name first.
"We have to share it with the class?" yelled Kirishima. "Who's gonna have the balls to go first?"
Aoyama obviously. "The shining hero: I cannot stop twinkling!" The whole class winced.
Izuku was reminded of when he and Katsuki were in middle school, just after they met All Might. They had randomly decided to come up with their hero names. Izuku had immediately defaulted to "Deku", despite Katsuki's complaints. Katsuki however had tried different variations of "King Explosion Murder" all of which Izuku vetoed saying that no one would let that slide. In the end the boy had chosen a much, much better name. Honestly Izuku had almost thought he liked it better than his own hero name.
"Here," Midnight took the board from Aoyama and started making edits. "Remove the 'I' and shorten the 'cannot' to 'can't'."
"She likes it?"
Mina went next with "Alien Queen" which Midnight shut down cause it reminded her of a movie.
Asui stood up. "I've actually had one in mind since elementary school. The rainy season hero: Froppy."
"So cute, I like it!" Midnight gave Asui a thumbs up.
The whole class sighed with relief. The next person to stand was Katsuki. All of the students except Izuku held their breath.
"The explosive hero: Ground Zero!" Katsuki said.
"Wow, so direct and forceful, nice!" said Midnight.
"Dang man," whispered Kirishima. "I was certain it was going to have something to do with killing your enemies."
Izuku leaned over and whispered in his ear. "A-actually Kaachan's original i-idea was 'King E-explosion Murder'."
"Yeah, that sounds about right."
The rest of the students then went up until it was Izuku's turn.
"I chose 'the hero who never gives up: Deku'!"
"Woah dude, are you sure?" asked Kirishima.
Kaminari agreed. "Yeah man, you could get called that forever, you know."
"I know, and this is what I want!"
"Nice spirit, Midoriya, I like it!" Midnight said enthusiastically.
"Now that that's over with, I expect everyone to pick which hero to do your work study with by the weekend." Aizawa walked out of the room with Midnight.
After classes All Might came to grab Izuku.
"W-what did you want to talk a-about?" Izuku asked All Might.
"Ahem, someone put in a request for you."
"Another hero? Who?"
"His name is Gran Torino. He was a teacher here for one year back in my time. Actually he was my homeroom teacher."
"Um, A-all Might you're shaking," said Izuku now visibly worried.
"Is this because I talked about you in the letter I wrote him? Or did he see the sports festival and decide I did a poor job teaching you? Damn it legs, stop shaking!"
'Just how scary is this guy?!'
"As my successor it's my job to train you, but you can go with him if that's what your tells you," All Might shakily handed Izuku a folded slip of paper. "H-here's t-the address."
'What have I gotten my self into?'
(Time skip to right before the work studies begin)
(I made a change to the plot, Katsuki went with Endeavor instead. Best Jeanist didn't put in an offer as in this fan fiction Katsuki doesn't have as bad of an attitude, so he doesn't feel he needs to be reformed, even though he is quite brash.)
"I-iida-kun!" called out Izuku to his friend. He'd noticed that since Ingenium's fight with Stain the boy had been extremely off. "You know, i-if you ever need to t-talk to us we're here for y-you right? Cause we're f-friends." Ochako nodded her agreement.
"Thank you, I will make sure to do that," Iida said. "Not to worry." Izuku still couldn't help but worry about his friend.
When he got to the address All Might handed him Izuku was confused. 'Why is there a broken welcome sign over the door? Oh well.' Izuku opened one of the double doors and then stared down at the sight before him. There laid Gran Torino face down in a puddle of red with sausages?
I know the chapter was rushed, but I have good reason. I'm way too excited about things that are going to be in upcoming chapters. Plus I don't want this fanfiction to be too long. Don't get me wrong it'll be long, just hopefully not 100 chapters long, because I have other things I want to write.
Anyways, please comment, tell me what you think, I really do appreciate it when you guys do that it makes my day. Well, see you next chapter.
