AN/

So first things first. I'm not a big sonny and carly fan if you couldn't tell. That being said they still are a part of the story even as antagonists, so they'll be involved. VERY rarely will they be involved without any of the characters I do like BUT this chapter does include them alone and it's just something that wouldn't make sense without. SO becuz I know a lot of people are like me this is sorta a "double" chapter including two different "scenes". So Carson scenes and then Nava with an extra person you gotta read to find out who.

Enjoy! And tysm for reading and reviewing this story!

-End of AN-

"Sonny where the hell were you?!" Carly screamed as he entered General Hospital. "I've been calling you!"

"I'm sorry I had some business to take care of and I didn't get your message until now." He said putting air quotes around business to let her know it wasn't about Coffee. He observed her tear stained face and knew it wasn't good. "How's Michael?"

Carly cried again at the mention of his name. "He's gone Sonny. He's dead."

"What?"

"Our son is dead." She repeated, her cries turning into sobs.

Sonny went over to embrace her but was quickly met with her hands shoving him before he could hold her. He looked at her shocked and confused but she wasn't confused, she was angry.

"It's your fault!" Carly screamed. "He was killed because of your dirty dealings!"

"Carly-"

"No!" She stopped him. "I already lost a son to the Mob and now I've lost another child to it!"

Sonny didn't know what to say, but he tried anyway. "Do you know that it's the mob?"

"Who else would it be Sonny?!" Carly shouted back. "I just-I just need some space right now. Not to mention I have to go tell Josslyn why she doesn't have her big brother anymore…."

Sonny wanted to argue or follow her but Carly was stubborn and pushing her would only make things worse. He wanted to believe she was wrong, but he knew too well that she could easily be right. He just had to hope to prove her wrong and pray it really wasn't his enemies who took Micheal's life.

Later that night at Wyndamere things have calmed down. Ava's anger became determination and her anxieties put to rest as she hugged her daughter when she got back from school, hardly letting her out of her sight until it was her bedtime.

Ava had called Scotty right away to support her case. She'd also considered Alexis as they were now family but the conflict of interest was too much. Besides, Scotty would have the benefit of truly wanting her to win. He hated Sonny and he would want her daughter safe.

Avery had gone to be a little over fifteen minutes ago in her room. It was no question she'd be staying at Wyndamere that night. Not only was the house a target but the house was a crime scene.

Ava laid on the couch doing some Gallery work on her laptop from what she missed that day. Nikolas sat on the chair across from her, reading an article of Lulu's from the invader his sister told him he just had to read.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door pulling them from their comfortable silence. They looked at each other before Nikolas volunteered to get it. He got up and walked to the door and opened it.

He wasn't expecting it to be drizzling outside, as he could feel on him as the wind blew it into the doorway but he was even less expecting the person that stood in front of him.

"Hey Batman." She gave a smirk. "Remember me?"

"Claudia?!" He exclaimed in a hushed voice.

"Yeah." She said. "Now can I come in? It's just drizzle but i've been standing in it for quite some time."

Nik was so shocked he couldn't even answer before she decided herself she was invited in. She sidestepped him into the castle and took off her damp jacket.

"Less creepy then I remember." She told him looking around the Castle from where she stood.

"And you're more alive then I remember." Nikolas spat back, closing the door and walking over to her.

"Wow. Quite the hypocrite, Nikolas." Claudia shot back. "Aren't you supposed to be dead too?"

Before he can even counter it, Ava's curiosity got the better of herself. She peered around the doorway to see a woman she didn't recognize.

"Hi." She offered cautiously not sure if this was a friend of foe.

"Oh, Hi." Claudia said, not realizing Ava was there. "You must be the wife I've heard about."

"It's Ava." She informed me, not sure how to feel about her. "Ava Jerome."

"Jerome?" Claudia asked, knowing the name. "Like….Jerome crime family?"

Ava scowled and raised an eyebrow. "I don't really need to be judged in my own home."

"Oh, I wasn't judging." She quickly corrected. "I'm Claudia. Claudia Zacchara. As in a crime family of my own."

"Oh." Ava smiled slightly at the realization. "I think i've heard of your family. You guys were gone by the time I got to town though."

"Not that i'm not glad to see your alive but….what are you doing here?" Nikolas asked her, hoping this wasn't more trouble to get wrapped up in.

"Port Charles or Spoon island?" She asked.

"Both. But start with why you came to me."

"Okay well….I kinda need a place to stay." She admitted. "Secretly."
