NeonHorizon: I'm...thinking about making a villain Bakugou story.

A look over his shoulder. A bubbly, giddy happiness settling over him as he felt an involuntary smile spread across his face. Squeezing her hand in his and barely able to contain his excitement. Everything was falling into place so well. He never could have imagined that things would go so perfectly, but he was so pleased that it almost felt like he was floating.

Oh, doll! I'm so proud of you! You looked so fearless when you were trying to prove yourself to Shigaraki! And the look on Dabi's face when you stood up to him! I'm so glad that you understand! I'm so glad…that we'll be together every day now! I wish your room was ready, but maybe it's better this way. We can sleep together and you'll be the first thing I see when I wake up. I won't have to say good bye to you at the end of the day and you'll never be alone now!

Deku unlocked his bedroom door, humming cheerfully to himself. Holding the door open for her, his pulse becoming fluttery when she brushed past him. Seeing her sit on the edge of his bed, he smiled. She looked so shy, so cute, that he just wanted to wrap his arms around her.

"It's getting kind of late. You're probably hungry, right? I can order dinner from somewhere and have Kurogiri pick it up. Why don't we get sweet curry from that place near your house? You said that's your favorite, right? You know…I'm pretty hungry, too. I haven't eaten since before…well, you know!" He smiled as he got out his phone.

Hands shaking from how deliriously happy he felt. He shook his head and a small laugh escaped him. "Look, doll. Being with you right now, having you in my room with me…it's like a dream! I'm so excited that I can barely hold onto my phone! But that's just how much I love you. I love you so much that I hardly take it!"

Placing the order for food. The room so silent he could hear his own pulse hammering in his ears. For a brief moment, Deku felt dread coiling in the pit of his stomach when he thought maybe this was some cruel delusion. That he was in his room alone, that she had never discovered him toying with the corpse of her assailant, that he was just talking to himself. A quick look toward the bed showed that she was there; sitting with her head bowed and staring at the floor.

He sat next to her, his smile starting to fade. "Doll? What is it? You're not upset with me, are you? Did I do something wrong? Wait. No. It's them, isn't it? Toga and everyone else. I'm sorry, doll. I didn't want you to meet everyone at once like that, but Shigaraki insisted. I couldn't bring you here without introducing you to the others and some of them were so excited to meet you!"

Sapphire eyes flicking to the side to look at him. A troubled frown curving her lips. "Deku. They're bad people."

Leaning closer, down to her level. He lifted trembling fingertips to tuck a stray lock of long, black hair behind her ear and he caressed her cheek. Unable to fight down the smile that was resurfacing. "Shhhh. It's okay, doll. Everything is going to be okay. I said I'd protect you. I'll protect you from anyone and anything. No one is going to hurt my doll or take her from me."

His forehead rested against hers. The warmth of her skin against his making him shudder with pleasure. The hand that was caressing her cheek slipped beneath her chin and he tipped her head up so he could capture her lips in a gentle kiss. Greed. Wanting so much more from her, but holding himself back.

I don't want to scare you, doll. But you have no idea how deep my love for you is. I'd do anything for you! And you'd do anything for me, right? Deku drew back to look down at her. Pulse thumping loudly in his ears, in his wrists, and neck. Leaning down to bring his lips to hers again. Parting them and delicately skimming his tongue along her lower lip. His teeth lightly closing on it in a quick, teasing bite.

Amaya's hands went to his shoulders to carefully push him back. Breaking the kiss and leaning her head against his shoulder as she struggled to keep her breathing even. Fingertips digging at him through his clothes.

"There, there. I get it. You're excited, too, aren't you?"

"I'm about to graduate and join a hero agency," she whispered. "But-"

"But you're part of the League now. It's the only way we can stay together and I…I really don't want to have to let you go." Deku's arms slipped around her and he held her against him. Frowning because he knew exactly what would happen if she changed her mind about joining.

Just like the potential members Shigaraki disapproved of. Just like the last doll, who had been desperate to leave. Of course, that doll had never loved him the way that Amaya did. She had never understood him. His new doll was special; she cared about him so much that he was convinced she was truly the one for him.

Subconsciously holding his breath in the silence. Waiting for her response. His heart starting to sink when he anticipated her rejection. Instead, he felt her embrace him with both arms. Smiling. Running a hand along her back as a giddy laugh escaped him. "Oh, doll. You're so perfect for me. I never want to let go of you! I knew you'd understand, though! You know me so well and you…really do love me, don't you?"

Amaya nodded, clinging to him tightly. Her warm breath skimming along the side of his neck. "I just…can't live here. Not yet. Deku, I'm still in school. And I still live with my parents. If I go missing, you know what's going to happen. Bakugou is already suspicious of you. I don't want you to go to prison."

Tears welling in his eyes again. That tightening deep in his chest, spreading up to his throat as words failed him. The concern in her deep sapphire eyes when she looked at him was enough to dispel any lasting shreds of doubt in his heart. "You're so sweet. Heheh! You know you…kind of remind me of my mom sometimes. Except that you believe in me, doll. You really believe in me and you understand me better than she ever did!"

The girl wiped at his tears with the hem of her blazer sleeve. Pausing to brush curling locks of green hair away from his face. "Where is your mom?"

"My…mom? Heheheh! Why do you want to know where she is? That doesn't matter right now! What matters is us! You're here! I was really looking forward to having you stay the night, but you're absolutely right! If you don't show up for school tomorrow then Kaachan's going to suspect something and tell everyone. And if he does that…well, I don't want to take care of Kaachan until we can do it together! Wouldn't that be a fun date? Just you and me and Kaachan! Between the two of us, we could take him down really easily!"

You're going to look so pretty with his blood on you. Smiling contentedly, running his fingertips along her cheek and imagining painting little hearts on her porcelain skin with his childhood bully's blood. His heart racing faster and faster as he pictured her licking blood from his fingers.

Deku's entire body was trembling as he reached up to adjust Amaya's crimson ribbon. Still smiling. Still feeling so happy, so excited. Until he thought of how Shigaraki would react if she left. Deku trusted her, but the blue-haired villain had only just met her.

"You know I trust you," he started. "Because you promised, remember? You promised that you'd never betray me. And I believe you. But Shigaraki…doesn't trust people easily. You'll have to be careful, okay? Really, really careful. He's going to have someone else watching you. I'll try to keep you safe, but if you do something he doesn't like or…something he thinks is suspicious…"

Turning his face to the side as he rolled up both sleeves. Displaying thick, deep scars. There were more, of course. Hidden beneath his shirt and pants. Reminders of that first painful year. Reminders of being "educated".

"Deku…what is this?" Amaya gently took his right wrist. Warm, careful fingertips gliding over his scars as her face contorted with concern, empathy.

His head lowered and he pulled his arm from her hold. Rolling down his sleeves. A sinking feeling in his stomach from seeing the despair and panic in her expression. "If you don't commit, you have to be "educated". And I don't want that to happen to you, doll. Toga, Dabi, and the others. All of them were really eager to join, you know. So none of them had to go through it. You did want to join…didn't you?"

He had to know. He wanted to hear her say those words. The thought of her enduring what he had gone through was just too painful. Deku had needed to be "educated". He could acknowledge that. The first year, he was so reluctant to cooperate and naïve. So utterly hopeless and weak. So different from how he was now. "Education" had given him the push he needed to embrace his new path in life and empowered him, but before he got stronger, he had felt like he would break.

Lifting his head, seeing the despair in her eyes. Deku leaned closer, taking her face in his hands and grinning. "Doll, don't look at me that way. I love you! I won't let Shigaraki do anything to you. I won't let anyone touch you! I promised I'd protect you, remember? Because I don't want to risk losing you. You're…all I have."

His thumb rubbed along her cheekbone. Feeling the warmth of her blush under his fingertip and filling him with so much giddy excitement that he could barely control himself. Smiling down at her. Waiting for her response.

Amaya blinked away her tears. Staring up at Deku. "I…wanted to join. If it means I can stay with you." A half-smile. So sweet, so darling, that it felt like his heart might burst when he looked directly at it. "Deku, I want to protect you, too. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe. You trust me?"

"Of course!" A sharp giggle burst from him, driven by his excitement. Both hands gripping her shoulders now as he leaned in closer. "I trust you with all of my heart, doll! I know you understand me so I know I can trust you. You'd never do something that would hurt me."

"No. I just want you to be safe," she assured him.

It felt like he was melting into her touch when her hand trailed along his cheek. Letting her soft, warm lips press against his. Shuddering and pulling her closer. Wishing that she could stay with him for longer, even if she was promising him she would be back. Groaning into the kiss, running his fingers through her silky hair as his free hand subtly slipped her phone into the pocket of her blazer.

Breaking the kiss for a few seconds so he could speak. "Doll, I…don't want you to go. As soon as you go, you'll be alone again. I don't want you to have to be alone. Mmm. But if you go…maybe I can come with you. We can have a date at your house. We'll have dinner and I'll stay with you until you have to go to sleep! What do you think, doll?" Pausing every few words to steal another kiss, not wanting to break contact with her for longer than he had to.

I don't want you to go. But I understand! I know that you're right. Of course you're right; you're really smart, doll. So much smarter than everyone else at UA. And so much sweeter. I just really hope that Shigaraki can trust you the way I do!
