Theme for day 14 is 'Succubus Seduction'

Quick warning: There is a character that hasn't appeared in the anime yet in this one-shot. I make NO mention of what their role in the manga is but I wanted to say it, just in case.

Alright, without further ado, on with the one-shot!

Disclaimer: I don't own Kimetsu.

Tanjiro doesn't usually get days off, even the few times that he does get them, he usually spends them helping around the house or with his siblings.

Today, though, it was a bit different.

First, there had been a snowstorm for the past week which meant that Tanjiro hadn't been able to see Kanao in all that time.

Kanao could have visited, the cold doesn't really bother her as a ghost, but the two had talked about it when something similar happened before and agreed it was better to not risk it. Even if other humans can't see her, she could get lost or some other supernatural creature happened to find her.

Second, there was literally nothing he had to do around the house, the few menial tasks around were being handled by his family who all told him to go see her since it was obvious he missed her.

So, after thanking and giving a hug to all of them, he put on his haori and ran towards Kanao's home.

He was making sure to check his surroundings with his nose so that no humans happened to see him but he will admit he wasn't paying as much attention as he should on that front.

His mind continued to think on what they could do today, even if she happened to be busy, he would be happy to help her out; just spending time with her is enough for the young werewolf.

As he approached the clearing where the house is, his nose caught an unfamiliar scent.

'What's this?' He thought, focusing on the scent. 'It's a nice scent but… there is something strange about it…'

Shrugging, Tanjiro simply continued his dash to the house, he will find out what it is once he arrives.

"Excuse me, Kanao, Kanae-san, Shinobu-san!" The Kamado called out once he reached the clearing. "Are you there?"

A moment later, Kanae appeared from the behind the barrier that hid the house.

"Ah, Tanjiro-kun." She greeted him with an uneasy expression. "You… really came at a bad time."

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" He quickly apologized. "It's just… the snowstorm didn't let me come for a week and I really missed Kanao." Tanjiro admitted while scratching his cheek. "I can wait here, I won't get in the way."

"It… it really would be better if you left for today." Kanae answered.

"Eh? Why… what's wrong?" The Kamado was worried; they had asked him to wait a few times but never once they told him it would be better if he left.

"I'll explain later but-"

"Oi, what's going on?" A voice Tanjiro didn't recognize called out.

He looked past Kanae to see a girl around his age, with silver hair and green eyes, wearing a large green haori on top of a kimono with flower patterns.

Kanae visibly tensed when she appeared from the barrier.

"Who is that?"

"Ah, my name is Kamado Tanjiro, nice to meet you." The red haired teen answered. "Oh, so you are that unfamiliar scent I picked up." He added as an afterthought.

"…what was that?" The girl asked, her eyes looking right at him.

"I have a good nose, I was able to pick up a scent I didn't know while on my way here and I was wondering what or who it was."

Her eyes half-closed as if she was studying the Kamado.

"You're a werewolf, right?"

"That's right." He moved his tail once for emphasis.

"…hmm."

"Is something wrong?"

"…no, it's nothing."

During the conversation Kanae is uneasy expression had changed to a curious one.

"Well, I don't want to get in the way; Kanae-san, can you tell me where Kanao is?"

"…ah, right!" The oldest of the three sisters snapped to attention. "Shinobu and I asked her to go get some things we needed for our client here, she should be back in a bit."

"Do you mind if I go look for her? I'll help her get what you need and then come back with her."

"I don't mind, go ahead." She nodded with a smile.

"Then, I'll see you later, nice to meet you..."

"Ume."

"Nice to meet you, Ume-san."

With that, Tanjiro closed his eyes, focused on finding Kanao's scent and dashed in her direction a few seconds later.

"…that guy is weird." Ume said.

"I… don't have anything to say." Kanae settled for that answer, although she had a relieved smile on her face. "Please go back inside, they should come back soon."

"Kanao!" Tanjiro called out happily when he finally saw her.

"Eh, Tanjiro?" The ghost girl barely had time to turn around when Tanjiro suddenly hugged her.

"I missed you so much." The werewolf said, his tail moving back and forth.

"I-I missed you too." Kanao answered happily, hugging him back with one arm, the other one holding a basket.

A few minutes later, the two let go of the hug.

"What are you doing here?"

"I got a free day and I wanted to come see you." He answered. "I stopped by your house but Kanae-san told me you were out to get some things."

The purple eyed girl flinched at that.

"Y-you were at my home?"

"Yeah, there was a client there and I didn't want to get in the way so I came looking for you after Kanae-san told me you were out."

"I-I see…"

"…is something wrong?"

"…is it?"

"What do you mean?"

"Are you… are you feeling alright?"

"Eh? Yes… do I look sick or something?"

"No… never mind, it's nothing."

She said that but Tanjiro couldn't help the frown that formed at how strange she was acting.

"Let's go back, my sisters need this as soon as possible."

"Alright…" Tanjiro nodded.

"Tanjiro"

"Yes?"

"Y-your hand…"

With a smile, he gently grabbed her hand with his and the two walked the way back like that.

"I'm back." Kanao called out when they got to the clearing.

"Welcome back, Kanao." Shinobu answered, coming out of the barrier and grabbing the basket. "Just a second, we're almost done." She nodded at Tanjiro as a greeting before rushing back inside.

"Don't you need to go help them?" Tanjiro asked.

"I-it's fine." Kanao answered.

'There is definitely something weird going on.' The werewolf thought with a frown. 'They're acting really strange…'

"Kanao, be honest with me, please." Tanjiro began, moving in front of his girlfriend. "Is something wrong?"

"N-not… exactly…"

"Kanao."

"I mean it… it's not that there is something 'wrong' just…"

"It's about me."

The two turned to the voice and saw Ume.

"Ah, please wait, the potion is almost done." Kanae said.

"Take your time, I'm in no rush." She answered calmly, not looking away from the Kamado. "Is something wrong with your nose?"

"…pardon?"

"You're a werewolf, you should be one of the most affected by just the presence of something like me but you don't seem to even notice."

"My nose works fine… what do you mean 'something like you'?"

Instead of answering, Ume walked forward until she was right in front of Tanjiro.

"Ume-san?"

"…I'm a succubus."

Everyone stood in silence for a moment as those words sunk in Tanjiro's mind.

"Oh." A look of realization appeared in his face. "So that's why I felt something strange in your scent."

"…really? That's your reaction?"

"Ah… well, my dad did tell me that it could be difficult for a werewolf to be near a succubus because of our noses but… I don't know, you have a very nice scent, one of the sweetest I've ever smelled in fact, but I can't say I feel strange or anything."

Ume's eyes shot open and she took a step back.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"…pff, hahaha." Suddenly, she started laughing. "Ahaha, well this is a first; I usually charm anyone that's anywhere near me just by existing unless I have a potion from here to suppress my power… hehe, this is a very refreshing feeling."

"I'm glad to hear that." Tanjiro smiled.

"It's ready!" Shinobu called out, coming out from the barrier and handing over the potion.

"Thanks, here is the payment." Ume gave her a bag of money. "Well, I'll leave now, this wasn't as boring as I thought it would be."

"Have a safe trip home." Kanae said.

Ume began to walk while waving back.

"Oh." She stopped and turned her head back. "Hey, Kamado, right?"

"Yes."

"You said my scent is 'one of the sweetest you've ever smelled', right?"

"That's right."

"Out of curiosity, what's the sweetest?"

"Kanao's scent." He said without hesitation.

"Eh?" Kanao and her sisters all said in unison.

Ume smirked before turning back around and walking away without saying another word.

"She was nice." Tanjiro commented absentmindedly. "…is something wrong?" He asked, noticing how Shinobu let out a heavy sigh while holding her head, Kanae had a large smile and her hands together and Kanao was covering her face with her sleeves.

"Kanao~" Kanae called out.

"Y-yes?"

"We can handle things for the rest of the day, why don't you go spend some time with Tanjiro-kun?"

"A-alright." She nodded, her smile hidden behind her sleeves.

"Come on, Shinobu~ We still have things to do~"

"Y-yeah." She nodded before following her sister inside.

"Kanao, what's wrong?" Tanjiro asked, since she kept covering her face.

"It's… what you just said…"

"Hm?"

"About… my scent…"

"Ah… s-sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

"I-it's alright… I'm really happy." She moved her sleeves down a bit so Tanjiro could see her eyes.

He also noticed her cheeks were really red.

"I meant it." Tanjiro chuckled. "And you know, I realized something about scents some time ago."

"What's that?"

"The better a person is, the sweeter their scent is to me." He took a step forward and hugged her. "And yours is really sweet."

"Ngh, now you're doing it on purpose."

"I'm only telling the truth." He nuzzled her head. "I really like you, Kanao."

"…me too." She answered, moving her arms around his back and returning the hug, keeping her head on his chest. "Can I confess something?"

"What is it?"

"I'm really glad I learned how to make myself tangible." She relaxed in the embrace. "I can feel your warmth."

Tanjiro smiled softly at her words.

"I'm glad too." He kissed the top of her head. "So, we're both free for the day, what do you want to do?"

"…what about you?"

"I… want to stay like this for a while longer before thinking about it."

"Hehe, sounds perfect."
