A/N: I just finished a fourteen-page thesis. Ya girl is a boss (LOL) this time next year I shall have my second master's degree! No more school until January for me! Looks like I'll be writing my butt off over here LOL….
All mistakes are my own.
I don't own FSOG.
Ana was beat.
All of Teddy's new friends had finally passed out with Teddy himself in the center of their massive living room. There were sleeping bags everywhere and Ana smiled when she saw him sleeping beside Jason the two of them in a starfish pose. She walked in between all the bodies and leaned over to kiss his cheek.
"Good night my Teddy bear," she said softly. Pulling away, Ana turned off the lights in the living room and made sure to leave the light on near the front entrance just in case one of the boys got up in the middle of the night and wanted to use the restroom right beside it. As soon as she walked up the stairs she let her shield drop allowing her skin to shimmer. She hummed before walking into her room and gently closing the door behind her. Walking over to the window she sighed when she saw the full moon out. Looking to the right, she felt her eyes widen when she saw glowing red ones staring back at her. She could smell the scent from her open window and instantly knew.
Wolf.
She kept eye contact with the glowing eyes and said nothing. She knew it was Christian but she made sure to pretend she had no clue who or what it was. It wasn't until she walked away from the window and to the bathroom that she remembered that she hadn't shielded herself.
"Ana," a voice whispered behind her suddenly. She gasped before turning around. She forgot to close the bedroom window, and standing before her, Was Christian Grey.
With Yellow Eyes.
And no shirt.
Save for sweatpants.
And bare feet.
She swallowed before taking another step back, but he took one towards her.
"You are a seer," he breathed. Suddenly, he flashed in front of her causing her to back up against the wall. His entire body was crowding her and she didn't feel fear, but she was afraid of the way her pulse quickened and the way she felt her panties become moist.
"Christian, what are you-"
"You are a seer. Is that why you know of the supernatural? Because you help protect it?"
Ana only looked at him as ge continued.
"You don't have to worry about me, Ana. You're safe here." He tilted his head before asking her another question.
"When you took this job, did you know that we were a werewolf family?"
Ana gave a slight nod.
"Yes."
Ana was surprised to receive the call so suddenly from the ad.
"Hello. Is this Anastasia Steele?" The man's voice said over the phone.
"Yes, it is. May I ask who I'm speaking with?"
"Yes. This is Elliott Grey. I placed the ad for my brother and his young son."
Ana frowned.
"He has no idea that you did this?"
"Oh, no he has no idea, but not for reasons you think. We've just had to..Let go of our former nanny and he's too busy to place a new ad."
Ana breathed a bit easier glad it didn't sound shady.
"I actually am at a Starbucks over in the Tribeca area. Can you meet now?"
Ana's brow rose up in surprise.
"Um, sure! Give me the address and I'll be there."
Fifteen minutes later, Ana walked into the coffee shop. She texted Elliott the color jacket she'd be wearing and when she stepped in, she immediately heard him call her name. She turned and held back her own gasp.
Werewolf.
And he wasn't just any werewolf.
Ana could read auras. It was one of her gifts as a seer. She could tell the instant future, and she was also a guardian. Her mother was a seer, so it was passed down to her. And her father was a guardian, which meant she had both of the qualities. The problem was in the supernatural world, having both of those natural born traits made her an instant target, forcing her to have to hide her true nature. She was worth a lot in her world, and Ana learned at a young age that her mother's people were killed because of the obsessive nature that could spark whenever one has contact with a seer. She made sure to only date human and to pretend she didn't see the supernatural world. Unless she was needed.
She cleared her throat before offering a smile. The closer she got to the handsome man, she saw his nose twitch, but knew thanks to her parents, he wouldn't be able to detect what she was by scent. He held out his hand to shake hers and when they shook, Ana instantly saw a little boy. She knew he needed help that only she could give and in that moment she already decided to take the job.
"Does my brother know?"
Ana shook her head slowly before pushing him gently back.
Well tried to.
She had to hold back her moan at how hard his ands were. It was as if the man was made out of granite. It was stone over flesh and it was magnificent. She dropped her hands and decided to move out of his way.
"Ana," he started only to be interrupted by her.
"No. You are the only one who knows. The only one in this family, anyway."
"I heard Sawyer tell Taylor that he saw a tattoo on your hip. He knew the heart meant a seer, but the arrows are what threw him off."
"It's because of my guardian heritage," she confessed quietly. Christian's eyes widened at that bit of knowledge.
"My father is the last of his kind. He stays hidden in plain sight. It's one of the reasons as to why he's coming to see me next week. He wants to make sure I'm not under some spell."
"Guardian?" Christian said in disbelief. He knew of their heritage as well. Being the Alpha of his own pack, he learned early on the different supernatural species. His father often told him that he would be in situations that would force him to be diplomatic. But by learning, he could rid the world of some of it's ignorance and stereotypes within their society. Christian now understood why she hid her skin.
"You would be ransomed or taken if our kind knew what you could really do," he said matter of factly. She only nodded. It was true. Not only were Seers thought of as beautiful people, but the power they had over individuals was enough for kings to wage wars over them. Christian also knew what it meant when a guardian entered a home.
"Anyone who-"
"Has evil intentions will never be able to step foot in your home. They of course won't know why, but you will," Ana finished quietly.
"You think there is some evil lurking around my estate?" Christian asked nostrils flared. Ana nodded.
"Yes."
"How can you know that?" She sighed before answering him honestly.
"Because your son keeps saying that his mother keeps visiting him and tells him stuff." Christian's face paled as he stumbled back. Ana continued.
"Now, I think it could be a dream or she could actually be coming into this home and sneaking to see her son. Was there anything about Leila that would strike you as odd?" Christian was trying to rack his brain for anything.
"No. She struggled with a lot. She wanted to live a better life, told me all the time. But after we spent the night she disappeared. I tried looking for her, but her own father found me and let me know that his daughter didn't want to be found again. I thought it was because she just wanted to start a new life somewhere else and without me. I had no idea that she was pregnant," Christian confessed. Ana frowned before crossing her arms over her chest.
"Well, whatever it is, I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it. But I wanted Teddy to have a normal sleepover with his new friends, and I thought to ask him about it later."
Christian gave a slight nod before crossing his own arms over his naked chest. Ana tried really hard not to look, but she couldn't help herself.
"Hmm. Well, now that you know what I am-" She suddenly gasped when she found herself pressed against the door Christian's face hovering so close to her own.
"It doesn't change anything, Anastasia. I am very much interested in you and it's not because of what you are, but what's inside of you," he said as his hand caressed her arm. As his fingers slid over her cool, soft skin, her marvelled at the light shimmering beneath it.
"Fascinating," he said in awe.
"That I'm a night light?" she joked. He turned serious eyes on her.
"No. That someone so beautiful, and kind, and courageous has come into my home, and honored it by taking care of my son." Leaning forward Christian placed a soft kiss at the corner of her lip before whispering into her skin. Ana closed her eyes and felt herself stop breathing.
"Goodnight Ms. Steele," he said. Ana heard a door open and close and it wasn't until moments later that she realized she was alone once more in her room.
Whew! Now the smexy stuff begins. But we've gotta get back to cute Teddy and his sleepover! Leave me a review it makes my day!
