Isiah: What up! Isiah and Tom here!

Tom: What up!

Isiah: And welcome back to Avalor's Nightmare Aftermath! Now before we get into today's chapter, I just wanna say you guys went crazy with the love and support on chapter 3 of Magic Duel of Love. So yeah, we're gonna give you guys more of that in one of our sooner updates.

Tom: Holy hell! How many reviews did the last chapter get?

Isiah: I'm not sure, I just saw that the review section was piling up a little bit. But anyway, back to this story. Last time, Shuriki and her allies explained to Elena and her allies about a plan to defeat Nightmare without destroying her world core. The only way to do it was to go to an mysterious island filled with wizards called the Wizard Islands.

Tom: Meanwhile, Nightmare caught sight of this, and has ordered Chatana and two other mysterious demonized servants of hers to go after Elena and her crew. How will things turn out once Elena reaches the Wizard Islands?

Isiah: That question's gonna be answered now in today's chapter of Avalor's Nightmare Aftermath.

Going Towards the Mysterious Island

As everyone went through the portal, Princess Elena found herself in the woods, looking around to see where she was. "Where are we," she asked.

"This is the path to the Wizard Islands," Shuriki said. "But this little island that we're on right now is just south of Nueva Vista. You know, where we had our little final showdown."

Elena turned to Shuriki and said, "Yeah. I bested you in that showdown."

"Or so you think."

This caught Elena's attention. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Shuriki smiled as she asked, "You see, the truth is...in my timeline, we never had a final showdown."

"We didn't?"

"I'm afraid not. In my timeline, I was aware of Nightmare's antics way before she attempted to strike," Shuriki explained. "So I abandoned that timeline and moved on to a newer timeline. One where Nightmare would be well known to you and your friends."

"I see," Elena and the others started walking towards the pathway. "So what happens in this newer timeline...besides the whole destroying Nightmare's core and time coming to a stop."

"Other than the two showdowns with Nightmare and the one showdown with Darkness, everything played out as it was there as it did here," Shuriki said.

"Even the part where me and my family found out about Esteban's betrayal?"

"Yes. Although I am surprised you decided to forgive him when Victor and Carla came back to you," Shuriki shot a glance at Victor making him shoot a glare back at her.

"Yeah, well I'm not forgiving him this time. Not after what his true intensions were," Elena said.

After about 5 minutes of walking, Elena and the others found a huge mountain with the path continuing on it. They decided to walk on it, going upward on the mountain. While they were walking, Mateo couldn't help but notice dead demon bodies on the path. Fiero caught sight of this and said, "Just like earlier in the old timeline."

Mateo turned to him as he asked, "What happened in the old timeline?"

"You find out about this island before your friends do after an intense battle with Nightmare and her allies," Fiero said. "And these dead demon bodies lay around on the mountain path as you go."

"Hmm. Then let's hope things don't turn bad while we're up here," Mateo said.

Fiero let out a slight chuckle as he spoke. "I can only hope for the best."

Soon everyone was at the top of the mountain and at the top was a magical elevator. Elena aimed her Scepter of Light at the elevator and it magically opened, giving everyone access to enter. When everyone was in, the elevator began going upwards at a decent high speed.

Arriving at the Islands

After a brief minute, the elevator came to a complete stop and it opened to reveal a huge island. It had beautiful nighttime sky, a city like form but in wizard style, it was the Wizard Islands.

Mateo was the first to step out of the elevator and glance at the view. "Wow. This looks beautiful," he said.

"Amazing, isn't it," Fiero said stepping out the elevator with everyone else. "They'll be plenty to explore while we're finding the Wizard Resistance."

Soon the crew began walking down a certain path, deciding to split up before doing so. Elena went with Shuriki and Sofia, Mateo went with Fiero, Gabe went with Victor, and Carla with Naomi and Ixlan.

Meanwhile from afar, Chatana and Darkness were watching them split up and this made Darkness let out a chuckle. "This should be an interesting meetup." He then turned to Chatana and her two other crew mates and said, "Leave Mateo and Fiero to me. The rest of them are all yours."

After a nod of understanding, Darkness watched as Chatana and her allies jumped off the building and towards a certain direction. He then looked towards the direction that Mateo and Fiero were going and decided to go that way.

Sudden Illusion

Mateo and Fiero were in the magical forest walking a path when suddenly a huge fire erupted behind them. The two wizards jumped and looked back to see Darkness arising from the fire.

"Why, Mateo," the spirit demon greeted with a smirk of evil. "You sure seem well."

"You," Mateo raised his voice getting ready to fight along with Fiero. "Why are YOU here?! Are you trying to help Nightmare create her sinless world?!"

"The answer's yes...AND no," Darkness answered summoning his magic. "Perhaps it's better to show you." Darkness then used his magic to create an illusion of Mateo and his grandfather and Mateo looked at it asking, "What is this?"

"This is the truth, Mateo," Darkness answered. "After your grandfather was forced to go to the Spirit World, what do you think happened?"

Mateo just looked at Darkness with confusion and looked back at the illusion with Fiero looking with him not so interested in seeing what he was trying to show him. The illusion showed how Mateo's grandfather Alacazar was living in the Spirit World in peace alongside the other spirits.

But then a certain tall figure slowly approached the elderly wizard and had some sort of dark magic with him. The figure then used his dark magic to absorb Alacazar's magic and soul with his before taking off his hood revealing himself to be...Fiero.

The elder malvago just looked in disgust. This has to be Darkness's worse attempt yet, he thought to himself. There's no way Mateo would believe such absurdness.

The minute Fiero turned around, his thought instantly proved wrong.

Mateo punched him in the face making him fall back from the hit.

Once he got his balance back, Fiero looked to see Mateo with a furious look on him. He then took a few steps back while Mateo started walking towards him saying, "You bastard."

"Mateo. That is not me," Fiero defended himself.

"You sure about that?! Huh," Mateo shouted at the elder malvago. "I knew I shouldn't have trusted you!"

Fiero got himself up and took out his tamborita saying, "You're feeding into Darkness's lies, Mateo."

"The only lies I fed off of is yours, Fiero," Mateo said taking out his tamborita as well. "Free my grandfather's spirit...OR DIE!"

A fight soon broke out between the two wizards.

Tom: Damn. The allies haven't been in the Wizard Islands for more than an hour and there's already trouble between Mateo and Fiero.

Isiah: Right. Will things settle down between them? We'll have to wait until the next chapter to find out. We hope you guys enjoyed this chapter.
