Bartlett made his way to the residence. Thanks to being up all night Abby would probably not talk to him for the rest of the day. It didn't feel the same as he walked through the White House corridors. Most of the time, his team was there to greet him. Either that or give him a job to do.

"You're looking miserable Mr President." Donna said from her desk.

Bartlett smiled as he saw the face of Josh's assistant. At least he could rely on Donna to still be working.

"All alone?" He asked.

"Everyone's back home. A few people have stayed here but after last night…" Donna tried to say.

"Don't worry." Bartlett waved to Donna as he carried on walking.

Before Bartlett could get too far, Donna's phone rang out loudly. Donna almost jumped as she answered the phone. Thanks to not many people being there it was a lot louder than usual. Bartlett walked on a bit but was still listening to what was going on.

"Donna Moss." Donna answered.

Donna didn't say anything else. She just nodded as the person on the other side of the phone. As Bartlett couldn't hear anything he walked back to see what the conversation was about.

"Yes thank you." Donna said, putting the phone down.

"What was all that about?" Bartlett crossed his arms in confusement.

"The police report is all sir." Donna smiled weakly.

"What about it?" Bartlett asked further.

"They're going to send it to the secret service in a bit." Donna said.

"Right. Well let me know later." Bartlett nodded.

"Yes sir." Donna smiled.

Donna turned back to her work. It was nice to have someone to talk to even if it was the president!

CJ felt like she had no tears left when she finally lifted her head once again. Simon's hand was cold to the touch and was in no way like how it usually felt. But what did she expect?!

"Excuse me, miss." A nurse said from the door.

CJ turned around wiping tears from her eyes and putting a fake smile on her face. She might love Simon but it didn't mean she couldn't be professional.

"Yes, what is it?" CJ asked.

"There's someone on the phone for you at reception." The nurse pointed back towards the reception.

"Okay thank you." CJ nodded as she walked towards reception. She knew she wouldn't be long so she could actually leave Simon's side.

The nurse watched her go and then attended to Agent Donovan. It was nice working with a patient who was quiet rather than always talking. Agent Donovan however, seemed to be pretty important to this woman, so the nurse did whatever she could for the patient.

CJ groaned as the same receptionist was at the desk. CJ just calmed herself and then walked up to the desk. The receptionist didn't give her any attention and just handed CJ the phone.

"Who is it?" CJ asked knowing fully well she wouldn't get an answer.

"I don't know. Someone named Leo." The receptionist snarled.

"Well thank you." CJ hissed back.

CJ smirked as the receptionist gave her a death look. CJ walked away with the phone so she could talk in peace to whoever was on the phone. Leo shouldn't keep her too long.

"Leo?" CJ said into the phone.

"Hey CJ." Leo's kind voice came over the other side.

"I hope you're not phoning from the White House." CJ tried to make a subject of conversation.

"Very funny." Leo said sarcastically.

"What did you want?"

"I'm checking in on you and our patient." Leo said a little bit concerned.

"He's fine. He's unconscious but fine." CJ sighed.

"What did the doctor say?" Leo probed further.

"A collapsed lung and a lot more damage." CJ nearly started to cry again.

"Do you want me to come be with you?" Leo asked hopefully.

"If you can be pulled away." CJ said, thinking about the president.

"I'm sure the president would deal without me for a few hours." Leo said already sensing what she was really saying.

"Sure." CJ just said.

"Good. See you in ten." Leo finished the conversation.

CJ gave the phone back to the annoyed receptionist. The receptionist didn't look at CJ but took it anyway. CJ gave a face back to the receptionist when she wasn't looking and then re-joined Simon.

Josh was at home. He was getting very bored. Sam said he should rest back at home but it wasn't working. He tapped his fingers on the table as he got more impatient. He wanted to know what was going on at the work but also wanted to know how Agent Donovan was doing. However, he didn't want to disturb CJ so left her to it.

That's it! Josh had had enough. He picked up his phone and dialed in Sam's number.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Sam was in bed with a hundred papers on his bed. The phone suddenly rang and made Sam jump out of his skin.

"What? Where? Who?" Sam woke up.

He picked up the phone, thinking some sort of emergency was happening.

"Yes this is Sam Seaborn." Sam said urgently.

"I'm bored!" Josh moaned through the phone.

Sam could kill Josh right now. They had both gone home for some rest not to call each other up when they were bored!

"Josh! I was in bed!" Sam groaned, rubbing his forehead.

"I don't care, I'm bored!" Josh repeated.

"Yes I heard! Can't you call someone else and tell them?!" Sam suggested.

"No one else will listen to me."

"I wonder why."

"Look haven't you got any work you could bring over?" Josh asked.

Sam looked around the papers he had. He didn't want to be working right now but if he didn't meet up with Josh right now, it was more than likely Josh would call him a hundred times until he did.

"Fine! I'll bring some papers over." Sam gave in.

"Thank you. Now be quick about it." Josh ended the call.

Sam put his phone down on his desk with a slam. Josh could be so annoying at times! Sam tried to shuffle all of his papers into one sort of neat pile. If Josh saw the mess they were in at the moment, he would freak! Then Sam's phone rang again.

"Aren't I popular?!" Sam said, picking up the phone again.

"Sam it's Leo." Leo said.

"Hey Leo." Sam answered wondering what he had done this time.

"I'm going to the hospital for a few hours, so if the president calls please tell him where I am." Leo said.

"So I'm not in trouble?" Sam made sure.

"No. Now I'm guessing you have a lot of work to do." Leo chuckled.

"Might do." Sam said looking around his room.

"Good." Leo ended the phone call.

Sam sighed as he put his phone in his jacket pocket. Hopefully no one else would call with an 'emergency'. He had had just about enough of those for one day.
