Chapter 15: Gary Snaps
Pentagon, Washington DC (7:03am)
Gary arrives to the Pentagon as his soldiers wait outside and he goes inside. Gary walked into the conference room to see everybody staring at him. "Why are you all looking at me like that?" Gary asked rudely. "Look Gary," Mr. McDaniel sighed, "We need to talk, it's not you it's us. Who am I kidding??? It's definitely you!" "This better not be what I think it's about!" Gary yelled, "Who's been telling lies about me?" "Your fired Lockwell," Agent Hawkins said bluntly, "Rodger Reynolds and the Zula Patrol came to us and told us everything. Your militia should be shut down in the next hour or so, and your very likely gonna end up in prison for the next 15 years for attempted murder and homicide. We should have never givin you other chance."
Gary's jaw dropped in disbelief. "No, you can't do this to me," Gary said softly, "I was helping you out. Remember all those missions I did for you years prior? Wasn't I such a good guy?" Gary's face suddenly become very angry looking, "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH EFFORT I PUT IN INTO TRYING TO FIND THOSE ALIEN LIFE FORMS???!!!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. Everyone scowled at Lockwell and his foolish behavior. "Your out Lockwell," said an agent. Gary's face formed into a very sad look and looked as if he was about to cry. "I might as well let my crew know that they will unfortunately end up unemployed," Gary said sadly. "Don't worry," said another agent, "We'll find jobs for them, your the one who's really screwed. Until then, go home."
Gary walked out of the Pentagon angered. "Hey sir?" asked one of Gary's soldiers, "How'd it go in there? Is everything alright?" "No I'm not!" Gary said, "Looks like you all are gonna have to go home because the militia is being shut down and I am probably gonna be calling a cellmate daddy within a month or so if I am found guilty enough! I never got to experiment on Zulians either!"
Just then, an idea popped into Gary's head. "If I cannot experiment on the Zula Patrol," he whispered, "Perhaps I will experiment on Truder and Deliria. They failed at finding the Zula Patrol and I am paying for their failures! Screw their destinies, I should have experimented on them the day I layed eyes on those failures!"
It was clear that Gary's sanity was really starting to boil, he may have been hellbent on experimenting on aliens but his soldiers didn't know how devoted he was to doing that till today. A lot of the soldiers felt a bit uneasy seeing their boss go from a jerk like commander to almost full blown unstable.
"Well, what do we do now?" asked a soldier. Before Gary could answer, he was getting a call from Deliria. She and Truder have found the time machine ship as they flew near the forests. Gary told Deliria to do whatever they could to destroy their ship and kill the entire team. Gary hung up and turned to his soldiers worried that their commander was having a mental breakdown. Similar to how Traxie was worried Truder was slowly have murderous thoughts on the Zula Patrol. "One half of my militia go to Truder and Deliria while the other half stays with me," Gary said very quickly but menacing, "We're going to that island out I told you about." "That secret island out in the Atlantic Ocean?" the soldier asked quietly. "Yes that one," Gary whispered, "I'm not going down like this, I will not go to prison. I will escape this hellhole country and experiment on Deliria and Truder when they finish those Zulians off!"
Meanwhile, the Zula Patrol and the substitutes went to say their goodbyes to Rodger and his mother. "I guess this is goodbye," Multo said sadly. "Not forever," Rodger said, "You guys can always come back whenever." "Even then, we are definitely going to miss you," said Wigg. "At least we had a fun week with Rodger and explored parts of Earth we hadn't seen before," Wizzy added, "We'll be sure to return to Earth the following year."
As they arrived to the ship, they saw Truder, Deliria, and a multitude of soldiers. Deliria laughed and then yelled, "Fire!" Merryl's caravan did a quick u-turn before the soldiers could fire at her van. "Are you kidding me?!" Zeeter yelled. "Our only chance to head home delayed!" Iris complained.
Deliria saw the gang driving off, this angered her and Truder. "Follow them!" She demanded. The soldiers went to search for them but couldn't find them. The gang hid behind an advertising sign as the soldiers drove past not noticing them hiding. "I think that's all of them!" Bula said, "Let's head to the ship while we can so we can head home!" The others weren't sure about the idea, concerning Deliria and Truder were still at the ship. They also didn't feel right about leaving Rodger and his mother especially seeing how Gary sent the Truder, Deliria, and a bunch of his militia after them. "As much as I wanna head home, I really feel we should look after Rodger and Merryl till we can get them to a safe spot and their home is definitely not gonna be one of them," Zeeter told Bula.
Before Bula had a chance to respond, they were rudely interrupted by the back window shattering as Truder grabbed Autofocus. "Bad touch! Bad touch!" he yelled in fear. Merryl accelerated her van away and Truder soon fell out of the vehicle. "How about we go with your idea," Truder groaned. "Told you so," Deliria replied.
The gang soon were traveling on the road once more but saw Truder's ship blocking their path and Deliria blocking them from behind. Suddenly guns mounted on the ships aimed at Merryl's mini van and red dots locked onto the target. "I'm glad we got our ships pimped out with these weapons," Truder laughed evilly. Everyone panicked as they thought this was the end. Gorga quickly exited the vehicle and turned 100 times his normal size! This caught Deliria and Truder both off guard at the shock of never seeing this ability from Gorga before. Gorga used his snout to suck onto Truders ship then flung him into the air disappearing out of sight. He did the same with Deliria as she tried to fly away.
When Gorga was finished he went back to his normal size as everyone stared at him. "What?" he asked. "Did you always have that ability?" Bula asked still in a state of shock. Gorga didn't know how to reply to that but wanted to be truthful at least, "Umm...maybe?"
TO BE CONTINUED...That took me longer than I thought but I am glad I got this chapter finished. I should be finsihed with TZP: Most Wanted by the end of October but we'll see...
