"I just got these tickets to see a performance at the nearby live house!" Tyler showed his tickets to Edwin. "I have a spare ticket with me. Care to join?"
"I'll pass. I have a club meeting tonight, regarding our trip to Sakuragaoka tomorrow. We're discussing our hopes for the performance as well as the possibility of meeting up with After School Tea Time on a weekly basis, and we couldn't put it off any further." Edwin respectfully declined.
"Okay then. I'll just go alone. See you later!" Tyler waved as he headed out the door and into the beautiful cityscape. The city was beautiful at night time. The lights from homes, businesses, and venues adorned the streets and lit up the starry night sky like a christmas tree. Tyler took some time to admire his surroundings. He was so absorbed in looking at the scenery that he bumped into someone on accident.
"Oh my, I-I'm sorry for running into you." Tyler apologized.
"It's ok. I wasn't looking where I was going, either." The person he ran into had dark black hair styled in twintails and had garnet eyes which gleamed in the city lights. She carried a guitar case on her back. Tyler found himself staring at her.
"You're a pretty girl. What's your name?" Tyler asked.
"M-My name is Azusa. Azusa Nakano. What's yours?" Azusa responded.
"I'm Tyler Inouye! It's a pleasure to meet you, Azusa." Tyler reached out to shake Azusa's hand. Azusa shook his hand. She eyed his guitar case.
"What kind of guitar are you carrying?" Azusa grew curious.
"Oh this? IT's an '04 Flying V. Good model. Served me well." Tyler informed Azusa. "What about your guitar?" Tyler looked at Azusa's case.
"I-It's a '69 Fender Mustang." Azusa talked about her guitar. Tyler smirked.
"Cool! If I didn't pick my flying V, I'd have taken a Mustang." Tyler complimented Azusa's choice of guitar. Azusa smiled.
"Where were you going before I ran into you?" Tyler changed the subject.
"I was on my way home from dinner at Max Burger. I had a performance there." Azusa explained. Tyler smirked confidently.
"Have some time to kill? I have a spare ticket to the live house performances and you seem like a good person to take to such an event." Tyler waved his tickets around. Azusa grew a sweet smile.
"A-Absolutely! I'd love to!" Azusa took the spare ticket and walked with Tyler to the live house. They walked into the spectator area to watch the many bands that were performing. Azusa's eyes lit up when one solo guitarist walked onto the stage.
"N-No way! That's Jimmy Page! He's one of the greatest guitarists of all time!" Azusa gushed. Tyler smiled.
"He's a damn good guitarist. He was an inspiration to me and my older brother, who is also a talented guitarist." Tyler replied. Azusa grew curious.
"You have siblings who play guitar?" Azusa asked. Tyler nodded.
"Yep. My older brother Edwin is a superb guitarist who taught me damn near everything I know. Next year, I'm joining his high school band, known as Stardust Revolution. I'm gonna become their Rhythm Guitarist." Tyler talked about his brother and his band. Azusa grew a big smile.
"I've always wanted to be part of a band!" Azusa shared her dream. "I've always dreamed of playing music with other talented musicians and having fun with great people!" Azusa spoke with determination and desire in her voice. Tyler grew a warm smile.
"That's a wonderful view of the band experience. A very accurate one, judging by what Ed would tell me about his experience with his band. Of course, he's the lead guitarist. His experience may or may not differ from the average member's experience. But he talks about a fun environment, and I'm excited to be a part of the band in the future. I'm sure you'll find a great band, too. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun making music and memories with great musicians and friends." Tyler gave Azusa a lovely speech.
"That sounds like a wonderful time!" Azusa smiled. "And you seem like a great guy, too! C-Can I get your number?"
"Absolutely! You seem like a great friend and I'd love to chat with you more often!" Tyler and Azusa exchanged phone numbers just after the last song concluded. They headed for the door, trying to weave through the crowd. They bid each other farewell before going their separate ways for the time being. When Tyler got home, Edwin's club meeting had just wrapped up.
"Hey, Tyler! How was the Live House?" Edwin greeted his little brother.
"It was a hell of an experience, bro. The crowd was really engaged and into the performances, and Jimmy Page was on stage at one point." Tyler talked about the performances.
"Damn, Jimmy Page is still playing? And he was in town?! Lucky guy! That man is a legendary guitarist!" Edwin was surprised. Tyler smirked.
"I also met a girl on my way to the Live House. Her name was Azusa Nakano. She's a guitarist my age, and she had a wealth of knowledge to share! She's also a really sweet girl who wants to play in a band with other talented musicians! She and I were fond of each other, so we exchanged phone numbers, that way we can always chat with each other and organize hangouts." Tyler talked about Azusa and the experience he had going to the live house with her. Edwin smiled.
"Sounds like you might have a girlfriend. Congratulations on getting her number!" Edwin clapped for his little brother's achievement.
"Now now, let's not jump to conclusions!" Tyler giggled. "Anyhoo, aren't we attending the Sakuragaoka High School Festival tomorrow?"
"Yep. Thank god we have the day off tomorrow so we can take in the sights and sounds of the festival before the performance." Edwin grew excited.
"Well, I can't wait for tomorrow, then." Tyler and Edwin headed upstairs to get a good night's sleep for the big day tomorrow.
