"What kind of lessons does All Might teach?"

"Huh? I-I need to head the nurse's office!"

"Tell us what's it like to have the top hero as your teacher at the pinnacle of education!"

"Tell you what I-? Well uh...He's really strong! And muscly!"

"What do you think of All Might as a teacher?"

"It redoubles my awareness that I am enrolled in an establishment where I can reap the rewards of the epitome of hero training. It goes without saying that..."

What. Was. Going. On.

For once, Ritsu's morning wasn't going terrible. There was food in the fridge and he hardly had any homework the previous night. He was set up to have a good day. However, the moment the gate that led into UA came into view, he found chaos.

Between him and the gate stood a wall of reporters. Shouting over each other and shoving their microphones into the faces of uncomfortable students. They were from multiple different news outlets but they all had the same hunger in their eyes. Eyes that scoured the area in search of their next target.

Right on cue, a lady in a deep blue pantsuit came marching toward him. Following right behind her was a tall man carrying a clunky camera. Ritsu could see how her eyes practically glowed at the sight of him and knew immediately that he didn't want to be around her or her cameraman for long.

Her cameraman.

'Shi—'

He couldn't be around them at all. If his face got caught on that guys camera there was no doubt that it would end up on the news. Ritsu didn't know much about spying but he had a feeling that having your face broadcasted onto the tv's of hundreds of people was not the way to do it.

He quickly turned his back to them and tried to find a roundabout way to the gate. However, his clear aversion to them only seemed to make them more set on catching up to him. He could hear the click-clack of heels against pavement grow faster and his strides became longer to compensate. The click-clack became faster and his strides once again became longer.

Their game of cat and mouse continued on like that until the lady, with a huff, called out, "Hey you!"

'Don't acknowledge her Ritsu'

"Hey!" her speed increased and so did his, "I know that you can hear me!"

'Don't turn around, you're almost to the gate'

"Okay I get it!" she shouted, "You get into UA and now you think that you're hot stuff! Too good to answer some simple questions about All Might!"

Now she was full on running toward Ritsu.

'I won't make it in time! I need to say something to get her off my back!'

Without turning to face her and her cameraman, Ritsu asked, "What's an All Might?"

The click-clack of her heels stopped. "Wha—? Don't play dumb with me! You know who—!"

"Excuse me," Aizawa cut her off both verbally and physically from Ritsu, allowing him to escape through the gate. "You need to calm down and stop harassing my students. That goes for all of you 'reporters'. You're interfering with our classes, so please, kindly evacuate the premises." Having said all that he wanted to, he headed for the gate.

"We just want to speak to All Might directly!"

"Yeah come on! Besides, aren't you a bit sloppy looking to even be in a place like this?"

"Just let us ask a few more questions!"

The mob—because that's what they were—started to follow Aizawa. They were all clumped together like a multi-limbed spirit that wanted to possess the school. From where Ritsu stood at the first-year entrance, it almost looked like they would actually succeed.

But their luck went dry when they attempted to actually cross the threshold of the gate. A thick wall of metal erupted from the ground and cut off their pursuit. It was so quick that the lady who had been bothering Ritsu almost had her nose taken off by it.

As Ritsu entered the school he could hear the faint indignant shouts of the reporters. Never had he been more thankful for UA's absurd amount of wealth than he was at that moment.

He made his way to class and took his seat behind Midoriya the same moment Aizawa entered. In his hands he held a thick stack of paper. He looked at it, looked over the class, and sighed.

"I hope that you're all well rested after yesterday's battle trial. Last night, I took the liberty of looking over your evaluations from All Might," he then directed his attention to Ritsu's column of desks. "Bakugou. Quit acting like a 7-year-old, you're wasting your talent."

"Tch...I know."

"Midoriya. Do you intend to break your arm all the time?" The boy in question startled at the attention. "If you keep on using the 'I still need to adjust' excuse you'll never get far. I've said it before, don't make me say it a third time. Once you get that down you'll be much more flexible. So I need to see some sweat out of you Midoriya."

"Yes sir!"

"Kageyama. Ojiro. All Might had a lot of praises for your teamwork. Good job."

Hearing that, Ojiro turned around from his seat in the front row and shot Ritsu a smile. Ritsu gave him a small one back, relieved that Aizawa didn't have too much to say on them. He just wanted to fade back into the background as quietly as possible.

"Now, let's get on to room notices," Aizawa addressed the class, "I'm truly sorry to spring this on you all but..."

Was it another test? Would they be fighting one-on-one this time? Can't this school just calm down for one second?

"We have to pick a class president."

In front of him, Ritsu heard Midoriya whisper to himself, "Finally, something normal." A sentiment that was no doubt shared with the rest of the class if the looks on their faces were anything to go off of.

But that small solace was swiftly replaced with chaotic energy as students started bursting from their seats with their hands raised to the sky. They all finally seemed to process what Aizawa said.

"Ooh pick me!"

"I would like it."

"Ah, you mean the position meant for moi?"

"Class prez? I'll do it! Me! Me!"

Becoming class president would look perfect on anybody's record so of course everyone wanted the position. As for Ritsu, becoming class president sounded like the exact opposite of blending in. If he were back home, he would have loved the position but there was no point in trying to get it here where it would never transfer to his real records.

"This position is laden with responsibility! You must be able to carry and pull everyone else's weight!" Iida, still sitting in his chair, broke through the chatter with a loud but firm voice, "Just because you want it doesn't mean you can handle it! It's a holy office that requires the trust of those around you! The only true worthy leader will emerge from a democratic choice reflecting the will of the people!" Then his demeanor got more shaky as he rose from his seat and shot his hand up, "That's why I propose that we settle this matter through vote!"

"That's a really lofty proposal don't you think?"

"Besides, we haven't known each other long enough to develop trust between us."

"And won't everybody just vote for themselves!?"

"Yes, but that's exactly why the person who does get multiple votes will truly be the best candidate!" Iida turned to Aizawa, "Is that alright sensei!?"

"I don't really care," Aizawa said as he got into his sleeping bag, "as long as you get it sorted out before the end of class."

With their teacher's 'approval', the matter was settled. Iida went up to the board and wrote down the names of everyone in class.

If everyone was going to vote for themselves, Ritsu could use this opportunity to inadvertently learn their names. Of course, he wouldn't be voting for himself, but who else could he vote for? He only knew the names of nine out of his nineteen classmates. Those being Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, Bakugou, Sero, Hagakure, Ojiro, Todoroki, and Shouji. And he didn't even know those nine too well. However, there was something in the back of his mind telling him that he was forgetting someone.

Who could it be? He looked to his classmates who were already up and voting for themselves. Who among them was he forgetting about? He scanned through at them again and then his eyes stopped, glued to one person. Oh yeah, he forgot about her.

With his candidate in mind, Ritsu got up and added a line of white chalk to the tally next to their name. As he went to sit down, he could see the eyes of his fellow classmates gawking at the board. He was the last to vote so he guessed that they were just reacting to the final decision.

"You're kidding me! It's a tie!?"

Okay, he wasn't expecting that.

"Wait wha—? You're right!"

Up on the chalkboard, almost everybody had one vote. The only exceptions being Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki, and himself with zero votes and Midoriya and Yaoyorozu with three votes.

"That's insane! What are the chances?"

"Who fucking voted for Deku!?"

"So much for democracy."

Ritsu looked to the two candidates. Yaoyorozu had a soft smile on her face and determination in her eyes while Midoriya's mouth was ajar as he tried to comprehend what was on the board.

"I-I got th-th-three votes?"

"Everyone can down," Iida was once again trying to reel in the class but his conviction from earlier was completely gone. "We can still turn to democracy! Only this time, our only candidates will be Midoriya and Yaoyorozu. The winner will be president and the loser vice-president!"

The board was cleared of everything except for Midoriya's and Yaoyorozu's names and their respective votes. Nobody was rushing to the board this time though. They all sat in their seats and seemed to be really considering the options.

"Ugh!" Kaminari groaned, "I don't know who to vote for!"

"Well, why don't we have the people who voted for them explain why?" Hagakure suggested.

"What!?" Iida shouted. "Everybody has the right to a private vote! Having them oust who they voted for isn't how democracy works!"

"It can't be that big of a deal," Jirou said, "It's just a class vote so there's nothing really at stake, right?"

"I suppose so," Iida relented, "but we should leave it up to those in question to decide!"

They all waited in silence for someone to talk but seemingly none of them had the nerve. There were only four of them, Ritsu thought, should he go first?

"I guess that I could go first," a voice called out from the back of the classroom. It was Todoroki, seated in his chair. "I voted for Yaoyorozu. Based off of her assessment of yesterday's exercise, I figured that she would be the best option."

Quiet mummers spread across the classroom. Everyone was taking the time to ponder Todoroki's message and most seemed to agree.

"I voted for Midoriya," Uraraka shot up from her chair, directing the attention to her much to the clear chagrin of Midoriya himself. "At the entrance exam, he saved me from the 0-pointer. I could tell that he was scared but he tried to rescue me anyway! He's someone who would do his best to keep the class safe and that's why I voted for him."

More quiet mumbles of agreement spread across the classroom. Uraraka's commitment to Midoriya was much more passionate than Todoroki's and that seemed to sway the general opinion. But when Ritsu looked to Midoriya's sweaty face, he could tell that the boy was nowhere near ready for the position. He was still upset with the green-haired boy after yesterday's exercise, but he supposed that he should probably help him out.

"My vote went to Yaoyorozu," Ritsu declared from his seat. He wasn't as loud as Uraraka but he also wasn't as subdued as Todoroki. "Yesterday, she was able to grab the attention of the class with her well spoken and encouraging evaluation. Even on the first day she was the only one able to see through Aizawa-sensei's ruse, meaning that she's the most perceptive of us. I don't want to drag this on any longer but the amount of understanding she has shown during our few days here makes her the best fit for class president."

The class once again switched their opinion in favor of Yaoyorozu. They vacillated a lot but Ritsu couldn't blame them. They had to make a decision that would affect the rest of the year based off of a few short days of information.

"Well since everyone has gone except for me," Iida said while standing, "I should probably tell you why I voted for Midoriya. I too saw his feat of strength at the entrance exam. His courage was nothing to scoff at and he was able to see beyond the simple goal of racking up points. He has a caring heart and that's why I voted for him."

Everyone was quiet now. Some were scratching their heads in confusion and some were just glaring at the board, hoping that the decision would just pop out at them. Class would be over in about five minutes and no one had added to the tally of either candidate.

The harsh sound of the legs of a chair scratching against the floor abruptly rang out through the room. Bakugou stomped up to the board, grabbed a piece of chalk, and added to the tally next to Yaoyorozu's name. "Like hell I'm voting for Deku."

His motivation was flawed but it got the ball moving. Slowly, more and more students got up to place their vote. Due to the slower pace, they could all see who voted for who this time and they watched as the favor swayed. Sometimes it was in Yaoyorozu's favor, sometimes it was in Midoriya's, but it was impossible to guess at who would win in the end.

With about three minutes left of class, the votes were at ten to nine in favor of Yaoyorozu. One more person had to vote. That person was Asui. She had her finger to her chin in thought and the class at the edge of their seats in anticipation. If the vote ended as another tie, would it be up to Aizawa? Or would it be left to chance with a coin flip?

Then, after a couple more seconds of anticipation, Asui finally got up from her seat and walked to the board at what felt like a snail's pace. She then grabbed the chalk and added one straight line to the tally next to Yaoyorozu.

The whole class sighed. Some in relief and some in disappointment. Yaoyorozu sat in her seat, beaming.

"That was actually kind of exciting!" The redhead, Kirishima, exclaimed.

"Yeah! They were neck and neck the whole time, I couldn't tell who would win!"

"I'm happy that Yaoyorozu won but after all this time I'm kinda bummed that I was on the losing side,"

"Sorry about that," Asui said as she sat back down, "but just look at Midoriya-chan. He looks like he's about to pass out from the pressure."

True to her word, Midoriya was sunken in his chair with buckets of sweat running down his face. His head was swaying this way and that and Ritsu was just about ready to catch the boy from falling.

"Well that took longer than I expected but it was nice to hear what you guys thought of some of your classmates," Aizawa came out of his sleeping bag and motioned for both Yaoyorozu and Midoriya to stand at the front. "President Yaoyorozu and vice-president Midoriya." With that, he left and Present Mic—Hizashi—entered the classroom for English.

Izuku had never been so happy to have lunch than he was at that moment. Being stuck in class after having a bombshell like that dropped on you was stifling. He was vice-president. It was still hard to believe, even hours after the fact. His classmates had voted for him of all people.

He was beyond queasy at the thought of it but at least he wasn't made class president! Oh, that would have been a terrible addition to the weight on his shoulders.

'Thank you Asui'

"Congrats on becoming vice-president Deku-kun!" Uraraka cheered while taking a seat in front of him.

"To be honest, I'm not really sure that I'm up to the task."

"Of course you are," Iida reassured. "You've got the guts when it counts. I believe that you'll be able to carry us through."

"But didn't you want to become class president Iida?" Uraraka could be terribly blunt sometimes. "You even have the whole look down with your glasses."

"Yeah," Kageyama said from Izuku's left. This was the first time he had spoken since yesterday, excluding when he vouched for Yaoyorozu earlier. He had been pretty silent of their walk to the station yesterday. When Uraraka would talk, he would acknowledge her with a nod and add in his own thoughts, but when Izuku tried to talk to him, Kageyama would completely shut him out. Had he done something wrong? The thought of so quickly losing someone who he thought was his friend honestly scared Izuku. He hoped that he would find the time to talk with him soon.

For now, it was nice to hear Kageyama speak again. "You guided the class so well during the voting process so I was surprised that no one voted for you."

"Then why didn't you vote for him?" Uraraka was, again, blunt as ever.

Kageyama almost choked on his food and had to repeatedly beat his chest before defending himself. "I had already made my mind up about Yaoyorozu by then! You don't have to put me on the spot like that!" and then, a bit quieter, "Sorry Iida."

"No no, it's fine," Iida replied. "Mere volition has nothing to do with one's ability. I was following my own judgement when I voted for Midoriya and so did everyone else. We're at the highest academia now and we must respect the decisions of our peers."

"Aw, thanks Iida," Izuku responded. But there was something bothering him. "If you guys don't mind me asking, what did Yaoyorozu say during the evaluation yesterday? You guys kept on referencing that during the vote but I had no idea what you were talking about."

The three of them looked at him in confusion before Kageyama said, "Oh yeah. You were passed out during that." After he said it, Kageyama immediately shut his mouth, as though he had just slipped up. But Izuku got the boy to talk to him! So in that case, Kageyama was upset with him (for some reason), but not upset enough to dislike him as a person! It was a small positive but a positive nonetheless.

"Allow me to fill you in," Iida took the reins of the conversation, "While you were being treated in Recovery Girl's office, we received our evaluations. All Might-sensei told us who did the best and asked the class to explain why. Yaoyorozu-san stepped up to do it and gave such a well thought out evaluation of all of our performances, even yours. The entire time she spoke, she had the classes attention. Her evaluations were thorough but motivating. She is an inspiring lady so it was no surprise that so many people voted for her."

Maybe Izuku should stop getting his bones broken so often. If she was as thorough as Iida made her out to be, he would love to hear what she had to say about him. But most importantly...

"You're so proper!" Both he and Uraraka shouted while Kageyama raised his eyebrows at Iida.

"I haven't known you for long Iida-kun, but you're always going on about respect and stuff! Plus, most kids our age don't call our peers 'ladies'." Uraraka said. "I might be wrong, but are you from one of those upper-crust families?"

Upper-crust? It was such a weird way of putting it but Izuku couldn't help but agree. Even the car that Iida went home in everyday looked expensive!

The boy in question looked down at his food before mumbling, "I don't really like to talk about it but if you insist then yes. I come from a family that has been in Heroics for generations. I'm the second son."

"Oh wow!" Izuku could hardly hold in his excitement. A family of heroes? How cool!

"Do you know of the turbo hero 'Ingenium'?" Iida asked.

"Of course!" Izuku was practically shaking now, "He's the super popular hero whose office has 65 sidekicks signed under him! You don't mean that—?"

"Yes!" Iida had a fully unabashed smile on his face, "He is my big brother! A beloved pro hero who prizes the rules and guides others! I aspire to be like him one day!" Then his smile became tamer and he directed it toward Izuku, "That being said. I think it's a bit too early for me to be taking a leadership position. You were the better man for the job."

He, Uraraka, and Kageyama stared at the bespectacled boy in silence. Izuku didn't know what they were thinking but as for him, he couldn't help but admire Iida's spirit.

It was Kageyama who finally broke the silence, "I've never seen you smile before Iida."

"Yeah!" Uraraka agreed, "Kageyama-kun is right!"

"Huh!? Of course I smile! I do it all the time!" Iida's rebuttal sparked a conversation between the three of them about how often he really smiled. They went back and forth and somewhere along the line Iida and Uraraka ganged up on Kageyama about his non-existent smile.

Izuku watched on and couldn't help but smile himself. Ingenium was to Iida what All Might was to him. Of course, Iida has kn—

WOOOOOOOOP—WOOOOOOOOP—WOOOO—

'An alarm?'

SECURITY LEVEL 3 HAS BEEN BREACHED. STUDENTS, PLEASE EVACUATE PROMPTLY

"What's a level 3 breach!?" Iida shouted toward one of the older looking students who was already making his way out of the cafeteria.

"Someone's managed to infiltrate school grounds! This hasn't happened in years! Come quickly, all of you!"

Was there ever a quiet day at UA?

"Welcome to the Ingenium Hero Agency!"

The building looked huge on the outside. It was about twenty stories tall and each floor looked like it had some sort of activity going on. It was honestly overwhelming but Teruki felt a bit excited.

With a pamphlet about the agency in his hand and the visitor's pass around his neck, he felt like a tourist! It reminded him of happier times when he was able to travel across the globe with his parents without having to worry about Claw. Sure, they were business trips but they would always make time to visit the major tourist attractions and take the tackiest of photos. His father had even made a photo album titled: 'Tacky Tourism'! Just the thought of those times made him happy.

'But you aren't here for touring, remember that.'

It was a sad truth but a truth nonetheless. Teruki stood in a somewhat irresponsibly large group of about forty people. He was wearing a plain, short-sleeved shirt stolen from Ritsu and some blue jeans that were also stolen from Ritsu. He had bought his shoes earlier that day just for this tour and more tours like it so that he couldn't be traced back to the scene. He had an inconspicuous, tattered baseball cap that blocked his face from cameras. He carried no bag and kept his amount of pockets to a minimum so that no one could suspect him of carrying anything on him. Truly, all Teruki needed was the small flash drive in his front pocket.

A lady with a topknot bun guided the group through the front doors of the building and the sight of it made Teruki blanch. If the outside was overwhelming then the inside was overpowering. He had to grip the flash drive in the sweater's pocket until his hand turned white to keep himself from keeling with nausea.

What felt like one hundred people walked along the main area of the first floor. That meant that there were about two hundred eyes, ready to watch him mess up. Not only that, there were cameras placed in every corner of the room. He could turn invisible but what if they caught him the moment before he disappeared?

Teruki had been planning this for a while. Not the touring of agencies but being here, in this weird world, trying to stop Claw from gaining any more power. He had stood amongst villains on multiple occasions without faltering. But that was only because no villain had the time to care about some boy walking where he didn't belong, plotting some scheme. How could they when they were too busy plotting their own schemes?

But heroes weren't like that. It was their job to not be like that. They had to watch out for the schemers of their world and stop them. How did Ritsu not feel like passing out every single moment he walked inside that school he had no real place being in? What allowed him to keep on going?

It wasn't like Teruki didn't want to save his world. It was just that saving the world—two worlds—was such a grandiose goal that it sort of felt impersonal. Anybody would want to save their home if given the chance but that's exactly what made it feel empty.

So the question wasn't whether or not he wanted to save the world but why he wanted to. And when it was framed like that it was a no brainer wasn't it? Teruki had to do this because he wanted to see his parents' smiling faces again. He wanted to add to his father's tacky photo album. He wanted to continue to get impeccable fashion advice from his mother.

Was he still terrified at the prospect of snooping around this highly monitored facility? Very much. But, in order to create more happier times, Teruki couldn't stop now. Jitters be damned.

Ritsu couldn't breathe. He was squished between two taller students who were squished by other students themselves. The emergency alarm had triggered a hectic rush to the door of the cafeteria which resulted in the tidal wave of bodies Ritsu found himself in.

It was hard to believe that mere seconds ago he was sitting down at the table, enjoying ma-po tofu while passive aggressively ignoring Midoriya. Now he was alone and his food was going cold.

Not only could he not breathe but he couldn't hear anything either. Shouts came from all directions and bounced off the walls of the cramped hallway. The overflowing of the senses only caused more of a panic which caused even more shouting. It was a self sufficient cycle and it was driving Ritsu mad. Was there no teacher to come in and stop this insanity?

Right on cue, Iida flew—or rather, spun—through the air; almost taking some head as he went. He propelled himself into the air and slammed into the exit sign above the cafeteria door. His limbs were all bent at ninety degree angles and he reminded Ritsu of a crudely drawn stick figure.

"EVERYBODY NEEDS TO CALM DOWN!" he roared, quieting the sea of students. "IT'S OKAY! IT'S JUST THE PRESS! THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT! WE'RE AT UA! SO LET'S CONDUCT OURSELVES AS THOSE ENROLLED AT THE HIGHEST ACADEMIA!"

At Iida's reassuring words, the students stopped tumbling over themselves and looked to the window. Ritsu himself had somehow been pushed up against the window so he got the closest look. It really was just the press. They were all bunched together and the only thing that stopped them from moving forward into the school was the two-man force of Aizawa and Hizashi.

It was kind of funny. The top hero school in this world's Japan got broken into by some people who were just really excited to see All Might. Ritsu would have laughed if his lungs weren't so busy being crushed.

After that, the cafeteria was quickly cleared and everyone headed back to their classes. Midoriya relinquished his position as vice-president in favor of giving it to Iida. A decision that everyone was behind. It even looked like Iida was about to cry at the encouragement he was receiving.

As for Ritsu, he was beyond restless. Yes, he was happy for Iida, but he couldn't shake the unease that settled at the pit of his stomach. His leg was bouncing with pent up energy, begging him to just move. It felt like a million butterflies were dancing in his gut. He just couldn't take it anymore. He shot his hand up into the sky, not sure how much longer he would last, and asked:

"May I please use the bathroom?"

It was dark inside of the trashcan. It was also cramped and smelly and Teruki was this close to hyperventilating but he couldn't. He was too scared to even be breathing in the first place. What if he was too loud and got caught?

"I could have sworn that I heard some noise coming from here," the voice sounded like an old man.

Why did things like this happen to him? Why not to Ritsu? And why did files have to take so long to download? He wouldn't have been in this mess if only he had been more careful!

5 Minutes earlier

On the top floor of the agency, Teruki stood in front of his last obstacle: a door. What was special about this door was that it was the door to Ingenium's office. It was metal (just like all the other doors in the building) and had a number pad next to the lock. That last part would definitely be a problem.

For anybody but him.

And maybe Ritsu.

Luckily for Teruki and unluckily for those that didn't want him to get into this room, he had telekinesis. Sure, the door might be locked on the outside, but the inside on the other hand...

When the rotating camera turned away from him, he made quick work of opening the door with the handle on the inside and stepped in. The first thing he noticed about the office was that it was impeccably organized. Everything was filed away in some cabinet and there was nothing exceedingly unnecessary in the room. The second thing he noticed was the desk with a computer attached to it.

Teruki made his way to the computer but didn't touch it. It would be a novice mistake if he got his fingerprints on anything in this whole office or even this whole agency. So, with telekinesis, he turned on the computer.

It immediately flashed him with a blue screen asking for the password. The videos he had spent hours on end watching explained multiple different ways of getting it but based on whose agency he was in, Teruki figured that he knew a much quicker way of getting it.

Based off of his research on the hero, Ingenium was very rule abiding. And what had rules? Passwords.

At least eight characters. Make sure to include both upper and lower case. Have numbers. Have special characters. The rules of passwords, at least of strong ones, made them so complex and complicated that the user would be forced to write it down somewhere. All Teruki had to do was find where Ingenium hid it.

If he had to guess, it was probably somewhere under the desk. It wouldn't be in anybody's line of sight and only the one behind the computer could get it.

Teruki crouched down and, lo and behold, taped directly under the desk was a sticky note with the password scrawled on it.

IngEnIUm0822tEnYA

He sprung back up from the floor and telekinetically typed in the too long password. Teruki was greeted with a just as impeccably organized desktop and went to the folder labeled 'Files'.

The folder contained even more folders with their own titles. 'Sidekicks', 'Safety Protocols', 'Internships', everything he could possibly need was in this folder. He reached for the flash drive inside of his front pocket and plugged it into the computer.

For a world that's supposed to be so ahead in its technology, things took just as long to load as in his own world. Teruki watched as the bar slowly filled while bouncing his foot. The tour would be on its last legs and he had to get back before it ended. The looming sense of dread he felt the longer he stood still didn't help much either.

It had taken a minute (It had only been that long?) for the contents of the folder to be stored on the flash drive. But just as Teruki started to pull it out of the computer, he heard the faint beeps of the keypad.

'Shit.'

He was starting to hate this office and its minimalist design. There was nowhere to hide! All there was was a desk, some succulents, a bookshelf, and a trashca—

He would apologize to Ritsu about his clothes later.

And that's how he found himself inside of a dark trashcan. It was uncomfortable but it protected him.

"Was it really nothing? Oh well then."

At that declaration, Teruki thought that the man would leave but he heard no signs of the door opening again. What was he still doing here?

Teruki sat inside the trashcan for a bit longer before mustering up the courage to peek through the lid. What he saw almost made him start crying.

It was indeed an old man, senile even. A senile old man in a janitor's uniform.

What a perfect addition to this comedy.

It hardly took any explanation as to why a trashcan wasn't the best place to hide from a janitor of all people. What was a janitor even doing here in the first place? The day had only just started! There was nothing to clean!

If Teruki got caught inside of there he would be handed over to some sort of authority that would have no record of him and he didn't even want to think about what would happen then. He had to leave the trashcan-fast.

He peaked out again and found the janitor with his back turned, dusting off the bookshelf. Behind him stood his cart. His cart that had a lower compartment blocked off by curtains. Now Teruki was actually crying, tears of joy that is. He found his way out.

When the senile janitor made his way out of the office he had just finished cleaning, his cart was heavier than he was used to. Strange, because Tensei's office was always so tidy, even before he goes to clean it. When he walked past a hallway that coincidentally had no cameras, the weight was gone. Maybe he had imagined it, he was only getting older after all.

As for Teruki, he joined back with his tour group. A bit dirtier than before, but feeling beyond relieved. His first break in, a success.

Ritsu passed the bathroom two turns ago. It wasn't where he wanted to go in the first place. No, he was headed to the school gate.

He didn't want to admit it earlier but something was wrong. There was no way that the press got in by themselves. If they had the ability to do that they would have done so ages ago. Someone let them in, but who? And how?

It couldn't have been a student, they were all in the cafeteria. If it was a faculty member then they would have been caught on camera and stopped the moment they tried to open the gate. That meant that the only way the press could have gotten inside was from the outside.

Whoever helped them break in must have done something to the gate. Did they break it? Was there a quirk that could've just wiped it from existence? And why would they want the press, of all people to get in?

Ritsu pushed open the entrance to the main building and poked his head out. He couldn't hear any noise other than the rustling of trees. So the police cars from earlier had probably already left, meaning the coast was clear.

He slipped through the door and onto the pavement. As he walked along the pathway to the gate, a pall of dread began to hang over him. His mind screamed at him to stop, but it was as if something was pulling him toward the gate.

He was about five meters away when he saw it. The thick wall of metal that had protected him at the beginning of the day was now in ashes on the floor.

He hated being right.

Ritsu rushed to the gate and dropped to his knees. He grabbed handfuls of the metal debris, still in disbelief. Why was this world so insane? Not that he had any place to judge when his world had an espers cult that liked to torture children.

Was the culprit still nearby? Were they waiting for too-curious kids like him to come out just so they could turn them into dust? No. What use would a kid be? They were waiting for heroes.

But if they were looking to get rid of some random heroes then why hadn't they done this earlier? There had to be more to this. Maybe it was a declaration of sorts. By why against a school of all places? UA was a prestigious school but it was still a school. A school full of future heroes.

His blood went cold. Were they planning to kill the students? The thought of it scared him but it made sense. They would be getting rid of future competition. But this line of reasoning had it's faults too. If they were trying to kill the students, why didn't they already go and do so? The gate was wide open, they still had the chance.

Ritsu chucked the debris in his hands away in frustration. If it wasn't the teachers and it wasn't the students, then who were they targeting?

And then, with a jolt, it clicked.

'All Might'

He was the only new thing about UA this year. He also happened to be the number one hero here. The man was practically a walking target and someone was making a move to get to him.

It had been about five minutes since Ritsu left for the 'bathroom.' He wanted to look around the area more extensively but if he didn't leave soon he would be in tro—

"Kageyama-san what are you doing here?"

Trouble.

Ritsu turned around from his spot on the floor to find four figures looming over him. There was an old lady with a giant syringe for a walking stick, a woman in a costume that definitely wasn't appropriate in a school setting, someone in a fluffy astronaut suit, and a...rat?

"Well, are you going to answer?" It talked! And, for some reason, it knew his name!

"What are you?" Ritsu mumbled, ignoring the question.

The uh...rodent, let out a small chuckle before responding, "I'm the principal! I could be a mouse, a dog, or a bear but the most important thing is—" the joviality in his voice left—"what are you doing here? You should be in class, isn't that right Kageyama-san?"

"Yeah, you're right," he had been caught by the principal. Ritsu couldn't let him and his beady eyes grow any more suspicious than they already were. Should he tell the truth?

"It's just that I couldn't get what happened out of my head. If the press had the ability to do something like this, then why didn't they do this earlier? I had to get a good look at everything and now that I'm looking at it, I'm scared." Ritsu then shot all four of them the most confused, concerned, and (most importantly) helpless look he could muster. A look that was amplified by him still kneeling on the floor. "Are we in danger?"

His question had the necessary effect on them. The principal's eyes softened and he tried to give Ritsu a reassuring smile.

"I'm afraid so."

Ritsu's Notebook 4

I'm most likely on the principal's (whose name is Nezu) radar

There's a villain who can disintegrate/decompose things. Most likely a part of the League of Villains

I need to watch out for the press and their cameras

UA is in danger

Author's Notes (aka where I stop proofreading)

This chapter was weirdly political. Relevant too. If you can vote, do so. Or make sure that family members that can vote do. And make sure you do it safely!

My updated 'schedule' is weird. I wrote two chapters with one month between them and then I just dipped for like 8 months. And now I'm updating like two weeks apart (don't expect this to be normal tho lol).

Editing is an annoying, 5-step process. Fill in the gaps you jumped over because you couldn't come up with anything at the time while also looking at and following the notes you made while writing, read through it normally, listen to it with text-to-speech in order to find grammatical errors your brain misses, fix those errors, and then listen to it again just to enjoy it. Even after doing all that, something will always be wrong with the chapter. Ugh, I feel tired just writing it out (I haven't edited yet at this moment).

No omake this time! I'm lazy and there's only three more so I decided to just space the rest of them out.

Columns are vertical, rows are horizontal. So that's why I said "Ritsu's column" instead of "Ritsu's row" even though the latter would read out smoother.

I was originally going to have the class president vote be a tie that ends in Midoriya's victory but then I thought that that whole scene and it's build up would be pointless if nothing changed. So I went all in and now Yoayoruzu is the president!

These chapters are getting so long lol (not that author's notes helps). Oh, to reminisce on my old chapters of like 2k words. Easier times.

There is no such thing as 'plain' in Teruki's wardrobe.

Teruki's parents are still alive and he misses them (╯︵╰,)

About Ingenium's (Tensei's) password. It was hard to come up with at first but then I thought about the love he probably has for Tenya and then it became easier. Also, 08/22 is Tenya's birthday. We're both in August! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧

Speaking of Iida, almost all of his dialogue in this entire fic had so far been ripped off of the pages of the manga. He's just so extra!

Ritsu's favorite food is canonically tofu (also pork). Which is weird, but that's why I had him eat it in the firs—second (or was it the third?) chapter. Ma-po tofu is just tofu and pork stir fry.

I don't think that there will be any ships in this. I like Riteru, Mobteru, and even had the sudden urge to write Motsu (Momo and Ritsu. Like, imagine our two spiky haired ravenettes, being all student council with each other. I think that their personalities fit together we'll) but I dislike ships in crossovers even more. They mess with the story and can turn off readers. But I will be subtly nudging toward the ships but I won't do anything with them.

Unit conversion gets seriously annoying sometimes. The US uses the Imperial measuring system (Imperial, so fancy) but Ritsu as well as the rest of the world uses metric so the writing becomes a bit clunky in my mind. Using "three meters away" instead of "ten feet" just makes me feel so weird! It's awkward to me lol. Dollars to yen is also annoying because I don't know how the money is bunched together in Japan (like $1, $2, 5$, $10 so on and so forth) but it's less clunky if I round it off by tens (¥100, ¥1500, so on and so forth)

Woop-woop, that's the sound of da police

Woop-woop, that's the sound of da beast

(aka it took me like 10min to come up with that onomatopoeia for the alarm. Sound effects are really weird to write but the are necessary!)

These author's notes are getting real bold with how long they're becoming. I should start calling them "Author's random thoughts they had whilst writing the chapter", but that's too long.

Next chapter! USJ!
