Magic Of Luck Chapter 9: "The Plan Begins"
GiddyReflections: Lol I'm never giving June a break, am I? XD
CaramelizedPOP: I have actually! It's really good! LOUNE IS THE BEST SHIIIIIP! :3
LunaWolf44: Yeah the scheme's gonna be...pretty interesting to say the least.
Okay because I wanted to make this more June centric, the Gladstone stuff doesn't happen yet. AAAAAH don't kill me. It will in chapter 10 or 11 though. :)
Lena led the group to a wooden bench near the Money Bin. She sat down, resting her arm on the edge.
"So, what's the plan?" Louie asked, sitting down next to her. June, immediately upon seeing this, shoved Lena and made room for herself, now acting like a barrier between Louie and Lena.
"WHOOPS I'M SOOOO SORRY, WAS THIS SEAT YOURS?" June smirked.
"Uh...you...can have it if you want...the bench is pretty big...I don't see the big deal here..." Lena was still completely oblivious to exactly what was going on.
"Yay." June replied with fake enthusiasm. Then she muttered, "And good riddance."
"What was that?" Louie asked.
"Nothing!" Lena and June blurted out at the same time, "NO YOU COPYCAT! COPYCAT! I SAID COPYCAT FIRST!"
Louie laughed as Lena stormed away, "Hey, she's kinda like you. Remember the day we met?"
June smirked as she rolled her eyes, "How could I forget?"
FLASHBACK (A/N got this from my other story Better Together which goes deeper into June and Louie's history so read that if you want the full story, this is just a small excerpt):
"Wow, she's like you only way better!" Dewey said.
"She is NOT way better!" Louie hissed. After Dewey, Webby, Huey, April, and May went to go get snacks, Louie pulled June closer to her by her collar.
"You think you can replace me, you're wrong."
June snorted, "Listen Green Kid, I'm not replacing you." She smirked, "I'm just better than you."
"No you aren't!"
"Oh yeah? Everyone else thinks so! Just try and beat me!"
"Fine, I will!"
"And lose!"
"And win!"
Dewey came into the room, "Wait, are they gonna kiss?"
"Eww!" Everyone else in the room cringed.
"What?! No!" June and Louie spoke in unison, "Stop copying me! No, you stop copying me! Stop saying exactly everything I say! No, YOU stop! NO YOU STOP! Stop! I said stop!"
Both of them seethed.
"Ooooo! They spoke at the same time! OOOOOOOOOOO!" Dewey cooed from across the room.
Louie chucked an empty Pep can at his head.
"You may be the only person I hate as much as Tenderfeet!" Louie snapped.
June snorted, "I know the feeling."
Louie mumbled under his breath, "Guess this is how Uncle Scrooge feels about Glomgold."
"What was that?"
"I was just grumbling." Louie crossed his arms.
"Then do it louder." June glared at him.
"THEN IT'S NOT GRUMBLING!" Louie yelled, "YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO REPLACE ME, YOU HEAR ME?!"
He narrowed his eyes, "You're up to something."
"Why would I be up to anything?! I just got here." June huffed.
"Can't out con a con."
June smirked, "Except for this con." She grinned, pulling Louie's hood over his head.
"Later, loser."
Louie pulled his hood back up, watching red-faced with anger as she walked out of the room.
"Oh, she is going DOWN. You don't know who you're messing with, June Duck. I can get you out of the mansion just like I got Tenderfeet out. I don't care how many stupid skills you have, but I'm better than you! Way better! There is only ONE evil triplet, and that is ME!"
END FLASHBACK
"Though, I have to admit, I didn't really hate Lena the day I first met her. Unlike you." Louie said bluntly. June's heart sank.
"You okay?"
"Yeah..." June forced a smile across her beak, "Come on, Lena's probably planning stuff with Huey." The duo found Lena, Huey, and April talking behind a tree.
"Oh! There you two are. Come on. Okay, so here's the plan: I have a camera placed in the forest, got it?"
"Yeah...and you want us to do...what..." Louie prompted.
"I want you guys to go retrieve the camera."
"Seriously? You need us to retrieve a camera?" June snorted. She grabbed Louie's arm, "Lou, let's roll."
"Of course it's not that simple. We need to get it without getting caught. Remember, that's Aunt Magica's forest. I've lived with her before, I should know. That place is nuts. There's magic crows and rats and spiders-"
Louie stuck his tongue out, "Spiiiiiiderssss..."
June coughed, "Another reason why this is a terrible idea!"
"-that are bound to spot us and tell Magica." Lena continued, "But they probably won't attack unless Magica commands them to."
"I thought you said she lost her powers." Huey said.
"Yeah, but some things just don't change. She still knows witchcraft. She's still technically a sorceress, even without her powers."
"Bummer." Louie scowled. Lena put a hand around his shoulder, "It won't be too hard though." She winked at him.
June just had the widest grin on her face. She looked like she had gotten away with murder or something.
"June?" Louie raised an eyebrow, "Uh, why do you look like the new episode of Ottoman Empire came out and you were allowed to watch it live from the front row?"
"Ohohoho, no reason. No reason at all."
A few minutes ago...
June furiously typed in a number on her phone. She whispered as the phone rang, "Please pick up please pick up please pick up..."
"'Sup, this is Gosalyn Mallard."
June perked up.
"I'm not here right now, because, well, I'm probably busy."
June glowered when she realized the phone had gone straight to voicemail.
"Anyways, feel free to leave me a message! Bye!"
The phone beeped.
"Hey Gos, it's June. I need your help..." She grinned, "...crashing a party."
Don't forget to review, follow, and fav! :) ;D
