Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Swordsmen and Thief. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I do not own any rights to Fairy Tale, Hiro Mashima, Kodansha and a few others that I may write about.

The sounds of explosions and gunfire was enough to wake the dead. It was far more then enough to wake the rest of the guild.

"Clell, what the hell happened?" Grey questioned as Clell dusted off his clothes.

"Where do you want me to start?" Clell questioned while brushing off his jacket. "The part where I was attacked, or the fact that they know where we are? I only got away because the bandits started attacking the soldiers." Clell stated while looking over his shoulder.

"There are Gyanveer soldiers nearby!?" Erza asked only to be answered by the sounds of gunfire which answered her.

"Yes." Clell snarked out before turning to the side. "I would suggest we move the camp. Those bandits I saw were far closer than they had any reason to be." Clell stated and rested his hands on his belt where his weapons hung.

Erza and the others looked out into the distance. It was quite clear that they were in danger. If they were to stay? The whole might of the Gyanveer military would be upon them.

"Clell, go help the others pack up the camp." Erza ordered to Clell before looking over her shoulder. "We should make sure they aren't flanking us. The convoy will be in trouble if they manage to get enough troops behind us." Erza put in before Clell hummed.

"There's no way we can go anywhere if we don't check for traps." Clell stated and looked at Lucy. "The bandits would have booby trapped the road this morning. To travel in pitch black without checking? We're lose the entire convoy to traps alone." Clell stated and tapped his hands on his belt.

Clell hummed and cracked his neck before walking away with Lucy and Nazsu.

"As much as you might hate it?" Grey put in and turned to Erza. "We should consider the fact that it is risky. The bandits would have put more of those traps up. There's nothing we can do to deal with their traps. Not at least without problems." Grey added as Erza hummed.

"I'm well aware." Erza said and drew her sword. "But there's very little we can do without compromise, Grey. Those soldiers probably have far more men then we do." Erza added which made Grey hum.

"Your trusting Clell more and more." Grey responded as he walked forward. "I'd go and handle the permitter. Go tell Laxus to come and help me." Grey stated which made Erza blink.

"We're going to need more than one of the best fighters to guard the flank." Erza put in which made Grey chuckle.

"I'm pretty sure me and Laxus can handle this." Grey put in before cracking his knuckles. "We need as many S ranked Mages escorting the convoy… As we do make sure that the flank is protected." Grey said as Erza hummed and looked to the side.

"Damn it, Grey." Erza put in before she turned and walked away.

(With Clell, Lucy, and Nazsu)

Clell looked over his shoulder with a frown. He brushed off his hands.

"You're worried about things at the moment?" Lucy asked which made Clell nod.

"Those soldiers almost killed me." Clell said as Lucy hummed. "I have no doubt they will try and kill you. Kill Erza and Nazsu, Grey… The entire guild could be shot and killed." Clell put in only to be distracted by a very humorful laugh.

"Trust me, it would take a lot more than them." Nazsu put in as Clell hummed. "But thanks for the thought." Nazsu put in to Clell who patted his belt at this.

"I love a good fight." Clell said while crossing his arms. "But that neither benefits us… Now would it help. There an army, we're a few people. I don't like odds stacked all the way against us." Clell stated and cracked his neck.

"We're figure something out." Lucy said and got a nod from Clell. "How bad is it, though?" Lucy questioned Clell who looked at the fires over his shoulder.

"There had to be a hundred or so soldiers." Clell put in with a frown. "I don't know just how many for sure… But I know it's a lot more then someone can handle. I wouldn't be confident fighting them if I was an S ranked Mage." Clell put in which made Lucy nod.

"Lucy?" Clell questioned which made the girl look at him. "If I may be so curious? Why do you trust me so much? I'm not arguing with it, but I wouldn't trust someone like me. Thieves like me? Their scum, trust me. I'm barely much better…" Clell said with a sigh.

Lucy could only watch as Clell slumped to the ground, sighing in anger.

Anger directed at himself more than anyone else.

Author Notes

Phew, another chapter done! I want to apologize for leaving out the rest of Fairy Tale. I didn't want to mess with personalities or such. Next chapter will hopefully be 1200 words and be different. Next chapter will be in 2-5 weeks and will show the convoy traveling. Along with more bonding and a fight scene. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: a Mirajane and Lucy story should be up soon among others.
