"Sorry." Carmen nearly squeaked out making Ivy smile at her.

"Oh don't apologize. It was a pretty good kiss considering how drunk you were. A bit sloppy but that was to be expected, you seemed determined to make sure you left a blue lipstick mark on me." Ivy said more amused than anything, Carmen just turned redder and looked away for a moment. She really wished she had her fedora to hide under right now.

"Did she?" Sara asked with a snicker. Ivy just smirked and pulled the top of her shirt down and to the side enough to show a blue lipstick mark on her collar bone next to a hickey.

"You're a lot less embarrassed about this than I thought you would be." Dara said grinning and earning a grin from Ivy while Carmen had buried her face in her hands at the sight of the mark she had left on the younger woman.

"Did you or did you not hear my brother mention the rumors of me in high school? You think she's the first person to kiss me drunk, female or male?" Ivy asked with a scoff as she looked at Carmen with a raised eyebrow and earning looks from the other three.

"Oh? That sounds like a juicy story." Dara said with a wider grin as she leaned forward a bit from the wall.

"Let's just say that I helped most of the girls in my high school find out their sexuality, and it wasn't always one at a time." Ivy said with a sly grin on her face as she got up and fixed several glasses of water and one of champagne and brought them back to the living room, giving Carmen a chance to regain her composure at least a little bit.

"Drinking? This early when you aren't even legal?" Sara asked staring at the red head who drank a sip from her glass while maintaining eye contact with the scientist.

"Call a cop." Ivy's gaze didn't waver, making Dara crack up while Sara sighed slightly.

"Why can't you be like this all the time?" Dara asked snickering as she looked at Ivy who gave a smirk.

"I have to be professional while at work and on the clock, not to mention out in public. Right now I'm neither on the clock nor in public so I get to be a sassy smart ass all I want." Ivy said with a grin that earned her a louder snicker from the muscle woman.

"I am definitely staying near you when you're off work now. You're hilarious." Dara said earning a shrug from Ivy.

"Do whatever you want I don't care, but when you're here stay out of Zacks room or I will gut you." Ivy said although her voice was cold and serious at the end and making the women nod but look confused.

"Why would we go into his room?" Sara asked earning a glare from Ivy who's light green eyes now seemed a lot darker and almost toxic.

"You're the one I'm especially worried about since Zack's room doubles as his laboratory. I find out you've been in there, and believe me I will know, I will skin you alive and dip you in salt and vinegar." Ivy said casually although there was a glint in her eyes that proved she meant what she was saying. Sara held up her hands in surrender as she paled a bit.

"Threat received, noted, and taken to heart." Sara said with a bit of a squeak to her voice.

"Although if you don't mind Hannah, I'd love for you to take a look at our security system and see if you can find any holes in it." Ivy said switching her gaze to the largest of the four women and earning a small almost intimidated nod.

"Thanks. I did the best I could with it and Zack's added a few touches of his own to it but he's a mechanical geek and I'm more of a 'kick their ass on my own' type. So it'd be nice to have an expert opinion." Ivy said smiling gratefully at Hannah who relaxed a little bit. She knew security so she could do this easily. As long as Ivy didn't decide to give her that dark look again.

"I can have a look at it as well and fix any more holes that I can find." Carmen offered making Ivy give her a grateful smile as well.

"Thanks. Just leave one or two emergency exits for us to escape through if something goes wrong." Ivy said making Carmen raise an eyebrow.

"You know that if I do that then that means that I, and therefore anyone I tell, will know about them and have access to the emergency exits and therefore be able to enter the house whenever we want right?" Carmen asked making Ivy raise an eyebrow at her.

"Let's see, a rather peaceful thief who has actively saved me or my brothers life more than once despite having to go out of her way to do so and who seems to have placed us under her protection given what some of my underworld contacts have said…and therefore anyone she deems safe enough to let near us? Oh boy. What a horror. How will I live if you come to crash in the guest rooms?" Ivy asked her voice coated in sarcasm and making Carmen blush a little but look surprised.

"Underworld contacts detective? You have dealings with criminals other than me?" Carmen asked making Ivy nearly snort her champagne out of her nose at that.

"Carmen, dear sweet Carmen…I understand you might think things have changed since your ACME days…but even though I'm only 18…I'm considered a senior detective not a junior one like Zack. What do you think most of the cases I'm on involve? Not all criminals are jay walkers or peaceful thieves in it for the mind games." Ivy said making Carmen pause for a moment as she thought about it and then winced.

"I see. Even with all of the new gadgets and tech you have at your disposal I guess some things haven't changed at all." Carmen said quietly and making Ivy nod once.

"I'll make sure to give you a bottle of good whiskey on the next caper then. You could probably use it." Carmen promised making Ivy snort.

"I usually prefer wine for my regular drinks or scotch if I'm having a bad day. Just promise you won't give any to Tatyanna, she gets violent when she's drunk and she's a lightweight." Ivy said grinning slightly at the older woman who raised an eyebrow.

"The Russian is the lightweight?" Carmen asked amused.

"Leave the stereotypes at the door. If you take me out of the equation then Jasmine's got the best alcohol tolerance of the 'junior' detectives. Tatyanna and Joshua have the worst. Tatyanna gets violent and Joshua gets persistent. The only one not allowed to drink is Zack and that's because of his lungs and because we aren't allowed to drink until we're sixteen with certain exceptions." Ivy said smirking slightly and Carmen couldn't blame her. She didn't expect the level headed Jamaican detective to be a drinker much less apparently a heavy weight one.

"So you've been drinking for two years?" Sara asked curiously and Ivy snorted.

"I'm one of the special exceptions. I've been drinking for seven years."
