"Go back inside the bar Miss Stackhouse, I need a word with Merlotte here." The most gorgeous man I've ever seen said. He's tall, blonde and blue-eyed and looking at my boss, like he'd love nothing more than to rip his head off.

"Mr Northman, I assume?" I ask him, shocking Sam even more.

"Pe-" He was cut off rudely by my boss. I found myself annoyed and wanting to hear more of his voice.

"How the fuck do you know him Cher?" I saw Mr Northman's eye twitch, as he moved to stand beside me in front of Sam.

"I'd watch that tone if I were you S-Mister Merlotte." It sounded like he was going to say something else, but what? Why did he stop himself?

"I ain't one of your minions Northman. What shit are you messed up in Cher? That's the only reason I can think of as to why this asshole would be here." He nodded at Eric.

I stood up, annoyed with the two of them. All though I found myself wanting to stay close to Mr Northman for some reason. He really is yummy looking. Both of them stopped glaring at each other, and stared at me when I moved.

"If ya'll are done, I'm going back to work. Thanks for the chin-wag Sam but Arlene's already spit out her chereo's once tonight, I don't wan't her tampering with my salt for sugar, that's more than likely something that bitch would actually do."

I started to move away, but felt a cool hand on my shoulder, pulling me back and snaking around my waist. Surprisingly I didn't here a single stinking thing from his thoughts. And I struggled keeping my mouth shut, to ask why I couldn't.

"You just asked me to leave Mr Northman, so you can have a word with my boss?" I remind him, trying to push his arm's off me, though I found myself wanting to stay, and may or may not have leaned back into him, as I pushed his arms away.

"T-" Sam the stupid idiot, interrupted him again by yanking his arm from around my waist.

"I do believe the lady doesn't want you to touch her Northman. Sookie go back inside, and check your salt pots, incase Arlene has tempered with them. I ain't in the mood to deal with complaining customers tonight." I moved reluctantly away from Mr Northman. I will have to find where his name was mentioned in that letter as I can't remember his first name.

"Your both pissing me off and I can't be assed to deal with male bull crap. So I will go inside on MY own and Sam... don't just assume... I may or may not have enjoyed Mr Northman's arm around me! But I guess neither of you will ever know for sure. I hope you both continue to enjoy your pissing contest."

And with that I left them both gawking at me as if I'd grown two fish heads. So two things happened when I re-entered Merlotte's Bar and Grill. Both Jason and Arlene where in my face at once.

"What the fuck is going on Sook?" "You've got some god dam nerve coming back in here. Why didn't Sam send you packing?"

"Shut the front door, both of you. I've done nothing wrong Arlene and if you've messed with my salt pots you best keep your distance and Jason... why the freak do you suddenly care about whats wrong with me, or what I do or don't do?" I paused.

"Are we done? Can I get on with my job now? I have tables that need tending too, and you two are blocking my pathway." I tell them.

I heard the doors open but didn't bother looking back. When neither Arlene or Jason moved, but stood there gapping at me, I sighed and moved forwards between the two of them, pushing them out the way, and not caring if they fell over or not.

Taking my pad and pen out the front pocket of my Apron, I greet my new arrivals.

"Hi, welcome to Merlotte's what can I get you?"

Short but... GO Sookie, ya'll tell them! One more day then it's the weekend :) What are your plans? OR are you all still under strict lockdown rules? It feels like it changes every day here.
