Anna had taken out her father's clothes to dress Hans up in the Arendellian crown jewels, making it look like he was the King of Arendelle. As he gently lowered the crown onto his head, while staring into the mirror, he felt a twinge of guilt. This crown really shouldn't be used to prove the guilt of someone. He stepped out of the dressing room, where Anna, Elsa, Ivan, and Richard were waiting for him.
"Woah, Hans!" Ivan raised his eyebrows. "That's actually a really good look for you!"
"I've never felt more fake." He mumbled. "I take that back. I felt just a bit more fake when I told Anna I didn't love her."
Anna turned bright pink, suddenly very interested in the wall.
"Yeah, don't worry about it." Richard shrugged. "You'll be out of it pretty soon."
Hans shook his head. "I'll be glad."
Just then, a blond-haired man, a little shorter, but more heavily built than Hans walked in the door, accompanied by a reindeer. "Hey Anna… what's going on?"
Anna jumped guiltily, turning at look at the newcomer. "Oh… Hi, Honey."
Hans felt the blood drain from his face as Anna introduced them.
"Um… Hans, this is my fiancée, Kristoff. Kristoff, this is Prince Hans. Of the Southern Isles." She smiled nervously.
"Aren't we at war with them?" Kristoff whispered.
"Not anymore!" Elsa explained. "King Edward signed armistice this morning!"
"Oh…" Kristoff and Hans stared at each other with wide eyes. "Um… Is he… king, now, then? Why is he wearing your Dad's crown?"
"Oh, yeah…" Anna laughed. "It's a funny story. He's pretending to be the King, so that we can trick the trolls into admitting they messed with his head!"
Kristoff blinked, confused. "Oh. Okay. Will you need a ride?"
"Yeah, that'd be great, sweetie." Anna grinned, as Kristoff wrapped an arm around her.
"So… you're completely sure he's not dangerous, anymore?" Kristoff asked, as his reindeer peered suspiciously at him.
Anna nodded. "Absolutely! We're friends, now! Oh, and these are two of his brothers, Ivan and Richard."
"Hi!" Richard waved.
Kristoff walked over to inspect Hans from a closer proximity. "If you even look at her wrong, I'll get Elsa to encase you in ice, okay?"
Hans nodded. "Got it."
"Let's go, then!" Kristoff said in a funny voice. "Alright, buddy, don't get impatient!" he said in a normal voice.
Hans glanced, bewildered, at Anna.
"He speaks for the reindeer." Elsa explained. "Whose name is Sven. He says he can hear what Sven is thinking, and then says it for him."
Hans nodded slowly, not exactly understanding, but rolling with it.
Kristoff had a reindeer cart, and the six of them rode inside it all the way to the crater where Hans remembered seeing the trolls, before. Kristoff pulled over, and Hans hopped out. "I think I can find my way from here. You guys have my back, right?"
"Yep!" Richard assured him. "We're right behind you!"
"Hey, Hans!" Anna called.
"Yeah?" He turned.
She narrowed her eyes. "I will personally gut you if anything happens to that outfit. That was my Papa's, alright?"
He grinned. "Yeah, I know. See you guys in a few!"
"Good luck!" Elsa smiled.
Hans squared his shoulders, and carefully walked to the center of the crater. "Hello?" He called into the silence.
Almost instantly, the trolls rolled up, again, popping out of their rocks. "It's Prince Hans!" They cheered. "Have you married Princess Anna, yet?"
"Oh, you remember that…" Hans winced. "Yeah, no, I didn't."
"Why not?"
Hans sighed ruefully. "She found another man. And they're going to be married, now."
Three of them stacked up on top of each other, and the top one shook his head disapprovingly. "You have to win her back, buddy!"
"Yeah!" They agreed. "Show her you really love her! And that the other guy is total trash!"
Hans tilted his head, confused. "But he's not! He… he makes her so happy!" He protested.
"But you still love her! Prove that to her!"
Hans shook his head. "I really love her, and that means… I have to let her go. Because she'll be much happier with the other guy."
"Oh." They blinked twice.
Just then, Hans was saved by Grand Pabbi rolling up. "Hello, again. It's been a while, hm?"
Hans nodded. "I completed your mission."
Grand Pabbi raised his eyebrows. "Your mission? What mission was that?"
Hans felt his eyes widen. "The mission to seize the throne of Arendelle?"
Grand Pabbi looked bewildered. "I didn't tell you to report to me…" He murmured. "What are you talking about?"
Hans hesitated. "You sent me to seize the throne, right?"
"No, that was supposed to be your decision!" The troll replied. "I wasn't supposed to have anything to do with that!" He shook his head. "I must have messed something up. Come here, child, let me look at you."
"Um, no…" Hans backed up. "That's not necessary…"
Grand Pabbi squinted suspiciously. "I told you to come here."
"And he told you, no."
Grand Pabbi turned around, startled, only to come face-to-sword with Ivan. "You're under arrest."
The old troll suddenly got a strange gleam in his eye. He lifted a hand, and snapped.
All the other trolls turned to look at Ivan. "ATTAAAAAAAAACK!"
All the trolls suddenly moved in an enormous wave toward the two princes, teeth bared, and ready to protect their leader. That was, until they became encased in ice.
Elsa, Anna, Richard, and Kristoff stepped out into the clearing, surrounding the trolls.
Grand Pabbi gave a quick, shrewd glance around, then lowered his gaze. "All I ask is a fair trial."
"Of course." Anna nodded. "And one for every single one of your… fixer-uppers."
Grand Pabbi gave her a small smile, and allowed himself to be led away.
Anna ran up beside Hans. "Good, you didn't ruin it. The clothes, I mean. Not that I thought you would, just that… oh, never mind." She smiled awkwardly. "Thanks for… what you said about Kristoff. I really appreciate it."
Hans smiled. "Yeah. So, are we friends, now?"
"Yeah!" She grinned. "You, uh, wanna come to my wedding? And you can bring your brothers. Wait, no, please bring your brothers!"
Hans grinned. "Yeah. Yeah, we'll come."
