Hello, everyone! This is a new chapter! Chapter 7! I hope everyone will enjoy this chapter and without further ado, let's start!

Normal POV

Ginta had started whining again as Kai tried to comfort him with hushed whispers and humming soft melodies.

" Ginta, what's wrong? Do you feel unwell?"

" ... Kai-kun...?"

" Sorry, did he wake you up?"

" Not really... Here, let me try."

" Okay."

Aichi took Ginta from Kai as he started patting him before he started feeling something.

" Oh... That's why..."

" What is it?"

" His diaper is full."

" Oh... I'll change it."

" You sure?"

" Yeah. I want to try it."

" Okay then."

Aichi handed Ginta back to Kai as he started changing his diaper slowly. Once he was done, he threw it away as Aichi wrapped Ginta in his cloth again and carried him.

" Let's go see how the others are doing."

" Yeah."

Kai held out his hand as Aichi took it and got up.

" Hm? ... Your hand is warmer than before..."

" Really? I don't feel any different."

" Are you having a fever?"

" No. I don't feel unwell either."

" That's odd... I was sure the warmth of your hand wasn't this hot."

" I don't know. I really don't feel any different."

" I guess it was just my imagination..."

" ... Let's go."

" Yeah."

They walked out of the infirmary after that as they opened a door after hearing noises coming from it.

" Wow..."

" It's a really long hallway."

" I wonder where everyone went..."

" Aichi?"

They turned behind to see Nerva as he led them around the base before opening the door to a room.

" This will be our room. I kept the design simple since we wouldn't be living here for so long but there are all the necessities we need inside. I also heard that we have baby supplies, so I'll be getting them down later."

" Thank you, Nerva-kun. You should take a break now. You've done a lot for us."

" It's okay. It's less exhausting with Goddess Elizabeth's healing powers, so I'll be fine. Look around the room and see if there's anything you guys want me to remake."

The two nodded as Aichi looked at the interior and spotted a crib.

" Is this for Ginta-kun?"

" Yeah."

" I think he'll like it."

Aichi slowly lowered Ginta in his crib as he watched over him while his eyes opened drowsily and yawned. Kai also looked around before spotting the bed.

" We... We're going to sleep together?"

" Of course. What else would it be? We sleep on individual beds?"

" I would much rather sleep with Aichi only."

" Well, I want to sleep with him too and the only way we're going to share him fairly is by starting from the bed first. If we can't do that, it'll be hard for us to live together."

Kai frowned as Aichi sighed before smiling a little at the sight.

" You two really do look and feel like twin brothers because of this kind of interaction."

" We do not!" The two exclaimed

" Whatever you guys say. Now then, I'll be taking a nap with Ginta-kun this time. You two can do whatever you want, but if any one of you wake him up, I'll get angry."

" ... O-Okay..."

Aichi nodded and carried Ginta to the bed and laid him down before lying next to him.

" This bed is so soft... It's really comfortable." Aichi sighed

" It took awhile to make with cotton and feathers."

As soon as he finished talking, Aichi had already closed his eyes and fallen asleep as he sighed.

" Sleepyhead... Hey, Kai. Help me lug those baby supplies down too."

Kai clicked his tongue before nodding as the two slowly brought the supplies down to the room.

" By the way... where are the others?"

" Oh... I saw them going around the school while I was remodeling it. They are probably still in the middle of that."

" I see."

" There's only a few items left upstairs. I'll get them myself since they're pretty light."

" You're sure about that? You actually want me to stay with Aichi alone?"

" There's also Ginta here. You wouldn't do anything funny with him around." Nerva said

Kai held in another sigh as he nodded slightly. Nerva left the room after that and went off. He soon heard unfamiliar footsteps on the way back to the infirmary as he hid aside. Peeking out from the wall, he gasped a little when he spotted the cloaked figure wandering around the school, seemingly muttering to himself. Nerva grabbed a nearby metal rod and remade it into a sword. He followed the figure out of the school and towards the field. He then charged towards him and swung his sword. In an instant, the figure turned and blocked his sword with a black sword.

" Such a jet black...! Could this person be..." Nerva thought

" Who are you?! Speak!"

The cloaked figure skillfully parried his sword as Nerva skidded to a stop.

" Are you part of Link Joker?!"

" Link Joker?" The figure repeated

" If you are then be ready!"

Nerva continued to charge and swing his sword down at the figure as he continued to parry his attacks away with ease.

" This guy obviously has more combat knowledge than me... Then..."

Nerva touched the sword as he changed it to a spear form and thrusted it towards the figure.

" Good! He won't be able to dodge this!"

However, another sword was drawn as the figure parried his spear away with the two swords.

" You're persistent!"

He charged towards the figure again when a strong gust of wind hit the ground and sent them both recoiling away from each other.

" What are you doing?" A voice ask

Nerva recognized the voice and immediately looked up to see Aichi floating down with his wings and his eyes glowed with the symbols.

" Ai... chi...?" The figure muttered

Nerva heard the mutter as he saw the figure looking at Aichi and at the swords in his hands before looking back at Aichi again when he landed.

" Who are you? Why are you here? I don't sense any malicious aura around you though." Aichi said

The figure seemed to be deep in thoughts after that as Aichi kept watch over him while tapping the fan on his hand.

" Can't be... This aura around him is..." Aichi thought

" So? Answer my question."

" ... I need your help." The figure answered

" Yeah, this is unmistakable. I recognize this aura, but at the same time... It's so different." Aichi thought

" ... I knew it. You didn't need to hide your face..."

He opened his fan again as he swung it once and a strong gust of wind blew the figure's hood off from his head.

" I know which is the one from here. So, there was no need for that disguise, 'Kai-kun'."

" Another Kai?!" Nerva exclaimed

" Rather, the 'Kai-kun' from another world. Your auras are pretty different, so it isn't hard to tell the difference." Aichi said as his eyes reverted back to its usual blue

" ... Wait, then why are you here?"

" Like I said, I need your help."

" What kind of help?"

'Kai' looked up at the rooftop as the two also turned to see a cloud floating down towards them.

" He had something like that up there?! What is this magic?!" Nerva thought

" ... Save him."

" ... Let's head to the infirmary."

Aichi led 'Kai' and Nerva towards the infirmary where he had instructed Kai to wait in as he opened the door and looked around the infirmary before pointing to an empty bed.

" Settle him down on that bed."

'Kai' nodded as he directed the cloud towards the bed he pointed to and laid it down. The cloud dispersed as another Aichi, who was unconscious, laid on it.

" Cloud manipulation, huh? That's something."

" Who is this...?" Kai ask

" Someone from another world. He came to ask for help, apparently."

Aichi walked over to the bed and scanned the body of his other self. Noticing a bulge in the cloak, he lifted it up to see a splint tied on his waist and removed it to check below his shirt. There was a bruising forming as his eyes narrowed, seeing that there were unknown traces of red flames in his body, slowly crawling its way towards the others' spine.

" That's some damage... His bones are shattering from the inside. You can explain later. If I don't hurry, he'll become permanently paralyzed."

His eyes glowed with the symbols again as a strong light engulfed the room. The others opened their eyes again after the light dissipated as Aichi was now looking at the flickering red flame floating on his hand.

" So this is the cause. I've extracted it and healed his bones. He should be up and moving in a few hours or so once he recovers."

'Aichi' groaned and opened his eyes as 'Kai' walked over to him.

" Kai-kun...?"

'Kai' nodded as 'Aichi' relaxed and went back to sleep. 'Kai' stood up and looked at Aichi before bowing. Aichi flinched a little at the sudden bow as he took panicked glances towards Nerva and Kai before looking back at him.

" Thank you. I really didn't know if you'd trust me or not, but... You saved him in the end."

" I-It's fine. Lift your head."

'Kai' did as told and found a chair to sit on beside the bed.

" Still, how did this tiny flame do that much damage?" Aichi ask as he held up the flame again

" Those flames have the factor called Disintegration. Anyone hit with it would..."

" I see. So someone had attached this to his waist or rather, he was hit. That explains the bruising I saw that was still remaining. He tried to heal himself once, didn't he?"

" Yeah... We didn't think..."

" And that's why you arrived here. You needed someone who could remove this and heal him before he becomes disabled."

After seeing 'Kai's nod, Aichi extinguished the flame. Nerva walked towards them and scratched his head.

" Sorry about the misunderstanding just now."

" It's nothing. I was being suspicious after all."

" I'm Nerva Van Helix. Nice to meet you, other world 'Kai'." Nerva greeted, putting out a hand

'Kai' looked at the outstretched hand and at Nerva before shaking it.

" Right back at you. Though I wouldn't say the same for that sloppy swordsmanship."

" Wha?! Hey! I'm still learning!"

Aichi giggled at the conversation as he turned to Kai, who was carrying Ginta, and smiled.

" Kai-kun? Why don't you come over?"

" No, I..."

" What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?"

" No..."

" Just come over."

Aichi walked towards him and gently tugged him towards them as he noticed that 'Kai' had put up his hood once more.

" Just so you know, I only have this hood up so that we won't be confused."

" I know..."

" Then there was really no need to hesitate like that."

Ginta's cry broke the silence between them as Aichi scooped him out of Kai's arms and rocked him.

" There, there. Are you hungry?"

" I'll get the milk." Nerva said

He exited the infirmary as Aichi continued to rock him before noticing 'Kai' already standing up to look at him, seeming like he had deep thoughts in his head.

" Not the same..." Kai finally muttered

" Huh?"

" He doesn't look like Tasuku..."

" Tasuku?"

" ... Why does this one have yellow hair?"

" Oh... That's a really long story. I guess the easier answer is... He's a baby I had during one of my cycles of reincarnations." 'Aichi' explained

" That makes it even more complicated. A reincarnation cycle takes quite awhile. This one shouldn't still be a baby."

" That's because... In this world, other clans exists. This one just so happens to be from the Goddess Clan, though born from a human mother, my reincarnation. He can live a longer life than normal humans. It's just... his original father... did something terrible and turned back his time, reverting him back to a baby..."

" ... Oh... And there's no way to turn him back to normal...?"

" No... But we're taking it as it goes. He's going to grow in this world as a normal human, he won't learn his origins until he awakens his powers."

" I guess that works."

" So... Who is this 'Tasuku'?" Aichi ask

'Kai' flinched as he scratched his cheek a little and took out his phone. As he continued to hesitate, he finally clicked the gallery application on it and carefully showed a baby's picture to them.

" ... This is..."

" ... Our baby... Tasuku Kai." 'Kai' said as he hid a blush

" Oh... So this kind of stuff was possible, huh...?" Aichi said as he also hid a blush

Kai blushed a little as he turned away to hide the blush before deciding to cough a little to keep it away.

" He's... two months old now?"

" Yeah... Just recently."

" I... I see..."

" But he has such big and round eyes, and beautiful red ones too. Who did he inherit that from?" Aichi ask

" That's probably from my... our father."

" Huh..."

" Though I wished that wasn't the case."

" Why?"

" Having a memory from our father isn't a bad thing."

" ... I don't want to be reminded of him, or our parents."

" Why? They were loving people."

" Yeah, they were! Until they abandoned us!" 'Kai' snapped

Kai took in the new information he heard as he froze a little at the sentence.

" ... What?"

" We were dumped the moment their business failed!"

Kai shook his head as he searched his memories and the same scene of the car accident played in his head.

" I don't... get it... They died in a car accident."

" Huh?"

" I thought they died in a car accident. It happened right in front of me."

" ... I see... At least one version of me from another world don't have to go through what I did..."

'Kai' sighed and plopped himself back down the chair as Aichi looked at the two worriedly. Nerva came back at that time with a bottle of milk in his hand.

" I got the milk!" Nerva said as he soon noticed the heavy atmosphere in the room, " Uh... Did I interrupt something...?"

Ginta wailed again as Aichi snapped out his thoughts and rushed over to Nerva to get the milk bottle from him.

" I-It's nothing!"

" ... Sorry, but can I draw the curtains for now?"

At 'Kai's request, Aichi nodded as he signalled Nerva to draw the curtains for the two. Kai stepped out from the area as Nerva drew the curtain. Aichi sat down on the bed opposite them to feed Ginta his milk as he looked at the curtains before he looked at Kai, who was taking glances at the curtains while also going into deep thoughts.

" Kai-kun."

" Y-Yeah?"

" Is something bothering you?"

" N-No... It's nothing..."

" You don't usually look this down. Is something really bothering you, Kai?" Nerva ask

" It's really nothing..."

" Do you want to know about your parents? I understand that they died in an accident and you remember that really well. But it is true that he is from another world, and maybe in that world, his parents did abandon him. But you shouldn't let that bother you that much. Remember that your parents in this world truly loved you."

" What? His parents abandoned him?" Nerva ask

" Yeah. Kai-kun must be bothered by that fact, that's why..."

" Kai..."

Nerva looked at the sullen Kai before taking out his deck and shoving it near Kai's face.

" Fight me. Maybe it'll take some thoughts out of your head."

" I'm not..."

" Or maybe... You can think of what you want to say to him. Vanguard helps, right? It stimulates your thoughts when you have a really serious topic to think about. So fight me and think about it."

" ... Okay."

Aichi scooted aside as the two set a table between them and flipped up their starting Vanguards. Nerva's eyes slowly narrowed at the way Kai was playing as he sighed and tapped the table.

" Concentrate, Kai! Calling a sentinel to the rear guard circle... have you gone mad?!"

Kai's mouth gaped a little as he noticed his incomplete and unstable field and hand.

" How you're playing right now is reflecting what's happening in your heart. You're conflicted."

" I-I'm not..."

Aichi frowned and looked down at Ginta after he had finished his milk and burped. He settled him down on the bed before standing up to walk towards Kai.

" It's okay. If you need a short break, just say it. It was a little shocking to hear it after all."

" He won't learn this way, Aichi. You're way too lenient."

" You too, Nerva-kun. You're a few thousand years older, so you should understand that feeling more than Kai-kun can. His parents died in that accident, that's all he knew. But to hear that in another world, they were willing to abandon him. How do you think he'll feel?"

Nerva flinched a little and set his cards down before nodding with a sigh.

" Sorry, Kai."

" ... Take a quick rest. We'll talk later, okay?"

Kai nodded a little as Aichi led him over to the bed and laid him down beside Ginta.

" He'll keep you company while you sleep too, okay?"

Aichi pecked his forehead before seeing him closing his eyes to sleep and smiled a little.
