Meanwhile, Elsa made her way to the top of the North Mountain and sees she was finally, completely alone.
No sister. No heroes. No royals. No friends. No strangers.
It was completely isolated as she began to sing to herself.
"The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen. A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I'm the queen. The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside!" Elsa sang as she began to hug herself, thinking of what occurred at the coronation.
"Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried!" Elsa says as she began to remember the words told by her father, "Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good girl you always have to be. Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know!" She then looked to her remaining glove, and removed it, "Well, now they know!"
The Ice Queen watched as it blew off in the wind as she finally began to unleashed her powers, "Let it go, let it go! Can't hold it back anymore!" She then used her powers to recreate a snowman that she and her sister made when they were younger before continuing to unleash her powers to the cold sky.
"Let it go, let it go! Turn away and slam the door! I don't care what they're going to say! Let the storm rage on."
Elsa then released her cape and flew it into the wind, "The cold never bothered me, anyway!" She continued to make her way up the mountain as high as she can go. "It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small, and the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all!"
She then used her powers to create a staircase near the edge of the cliff. "It's time to see what I can do, to test the limits and breakthrough!" Elsa ran up to her snow stairs, "No right, no wrong, no rules for me..." she then placed her foot on the staircase and the snow transformed into ice, "I'm free!"
"Let it go, let it go!" She sang as she ran up her newly created ice stairs, creating it from snow turning it into ice. "I am one with the wind and sky! Let it go, let it go!" Elsa continued to sing as she finally reached the top of the mountain, "You'll never see me cry!" She then ran to the center of a clearing and created an ice floor that reached the stairs, "Here I stand, and here I'll stay! Let the storm rage on!"
Elsa then caused the floor to rise and started forming walls to her new home. "My power flurries through the air into the ground!" She then created the ceiling, followed by an ice chandelier "My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around! And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast!"
She then removed her crown and stared at it and now sees this was the best decision for everyone, her home, her family, herself.
"I'm never going back, the past is in the p-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-st!" Elsa threw the crown aside and changed her hair undoing her bun as it now went down over her right shoulder. "Let it go, let it go!"
"And I'll rise like the break of dawn!" She sang as she created a new ice dress and cape, "Let it go, let it go! That perfect girl is gone!" She then walked her way to the sunlight, "Here I stand, in the light of day! Let the storm rage o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n!"
"The cold never bothered me anyway!" Elsa finished as she turned back and flung her cape with her as she goes inside her newly made ice castle and slammed the door shut behind her.
Down the mountain, Peter shivered as he marched through the snow, which has finally stop sometime during the night which erratically changed from night to early morning in what felt like minutes.
"If I knew I'd be helping to stop an eternal winter that has purged the world into another Ice Age, I would've asked Stark to make me a thermal suit." Peter states as he pulled out a device out of his jacket that looks sorta like a radar with a red dot almost straight ahead.
"It's a good thing she didn't get rid of the Spider Tracer, or just didn't notice it was left on. Gonna be honest, for a woman who hasn't spent too much time outside, she sure can run fast. Like, man, she could give Quicksilver a run for his money." He comments at seeing how far she managed to get in a short amount of time. "I couldn't get that far even with my abilities."
"Elsa! Elsa, it's me, Anna, your sister who didn't make you freeze summer! I'm sorry. It's all my f-f-f-f-f-f-fault." Peter heard Anna's voice somewhere, "Of course, none of this would've happened if she'd just told me. Heh, she's a stinker."
Just a few moments later, he heard a howl and caught a horse running past him, as he heard Anna call out.
"Oh no. No. No. No. Come back. No. No. No. No! Okay..."
Peter looked ahead to see that the princess had fallen in the snow.
She tried to pick herself with a tree branch of a leaning conifer, but the tree snapped upright and released all its snow onto her.
"Really?" Anna groaned.
Peter ran up to her as Anna tried to dig herself out of the snow as he walked up in front of her.
"Need a hand?" Anna looked up to Peter before her eyes narrowed at him and sighed. "Yeah, I know, I'm probably one of the last guys you wanted to see right now. Just let me help you up."
Anna glared at him for a few more seconds before she reluctantly took his hand as he pulled her out of the snow.
"Thanks." She muttered as she dust the snow off herself. "What are you doing here?"
"Two things; first being the same as you, I want to help you find your sister. Second, I want to make sure you don't get yourself killed along the way." Peter answered.
"Why would you care? You only just met her last night." Anna asked as she crossed her arms,
"Because I've seen people going through similar situations, and I don't want what happened to them happen to her too. I don't exactly know much about magic, but if she was the one who cast this winter on the world, maybe she can undo it."
Anna raised an eyebrow, "And you want to be the one to find her and tell her to undo it?"
"Well, I've spent a lot of time around others who have abilities like her. I might be able to help fix this problem." Peter replied with a shrug.
"Well, sorry to tell you, Mr. Parker, but we don't need your services. This is a family matter between Elsa and I. And we will set it right together without you."
"No offense, but the last time you two did some sisterly bonding, the whole world was frozen over." Peter reminded her as Anna got ready to retaliate but Peter cut her off, "Also six or more of the most powerful villains are out there, after you and your sister. Not to mention, you didn't bring any bodyguards to protect you." He gestured at nothing.
Anna wanted to argue with him but she couldn't think of anything she could use.
"Do you even know how you're going to find your sister?" Peter wondered.
"Do you?" Anna asked before she smiled smugly.
"I do actually." Peter nodded making Anna frown as he showed her the device, "When I used to help Spider-Man, I used to make some of his gear, so I have access to the same tech as him, like this for example. He gave Elsa a Spider tracer, she used it when Rhino started his attack but it seems she didn't turn it off so I can use it to follow wherever she goes."
"What?! Give me that!" Anna's eyes narrowed as she tried to snatch it out of his hands, but Peter held it out of her reach as Anna tried to jump for it as he continued to explain why she needs him.
"You don't even know how to work this, even if you got it. More likely, you'd break it and you'd never see your sister again. Kiss goodbye to summer and warmth all over the world while you're at it." Peter tells her.
Anna groaned in defeat and crossed her arms.
"Look, I know you want to take care of your sister and feel it's your responsibility. Believe me when I say I know all about that. Just let me come with you, and help you find her. And most importantly, make sure you and Elsa both make the journey there and back in one piece." Peter told her as Anna thought of her options and sees she doesn't have many.
Anna took a minute and finally realized she didn't have any choice and sighs in defeat. "Fine...let's get on your horse and get this over with-"
"I don't own a horse. I walked here." Peter informed her.
"Of course you did." Anna exclaimed as she lead the way with Peter following behind.
The two then began walking in silence the whole day while Anna muttered the whole day.
"Snow. It had to be snow. She couldn't have had tropical magic to cover the fjords with white s-sand and warm..."
Peter looked ahead and beamed, "Fire!" Causing Anna to stop complaining as she also saw the smoke.
"Fire!" She exclaimed happily and was off to find the source of the smoke hoping to warm up.
Anna took one step forward and suddenly slides down the hill as Peter quickly slid with her. He quickly caught her and leaped them both over the stream but he ended up slipping on ice and fell into the stream, causing Anna to laugh.
Peter started to instantly shiver at the coldness he was feeling as Anna continued laughing before she slipped and fell in the stream just next to him. She then turned to Peter and glared as he was about to say something.
"Don't say...a WORD!" Anna warned him as Peter laughed lightly before he helped her up and gave her his jacket. It wasn't really much, but he was willing to give what he had to make sure she didn't freeze.
Anna was left speechless at the kindness of this man. The guy she had a bit of a small hatred towards since she met him because of how close he got to her sister so easily and here he was helping her out of the snow and warming her.
She tried to say something, but the only thing coming out was stuttering. "T-thanks."
"You're...welcome." Peter shivered as he tried to warm himself up as they continued walking.
Anna and Peter struggled their way to the source of the fire, then struggled up the steps and Peter dusted off the sign and read it.
"Wandering Oaken's Trading Post." Peter says as more snow fell off as Anna beamed.
"Oh, and sauna." Anna cheered.
Peter opened the door, and they both headed inside. Once inside, the man at the counter which they both assumed was Oaken, smiled at them, "Yoo-hoo! Big summer blowout! Half off swimming suits, clogs, and a sum balm of my own invention, ya?"
Anna smiled politely, "Oh, great. For now, how about boots? Winter boots and dresses?"
"Maybe a winter jackets and pants as well?" Peter added.
"That would be in our winter department," Oaken told them, gesturing to the far end of the store. Peter and Anna looked and saw a nearly empty wall with a rope, a pickaxe, two pairs of boots, and some small bundles of clothes.
Peter shrugged, "Better than nothing."
Peter took the clothes as Anna wandered to the counter, "So I...we were wondering, has another young woman, I don't know...the Queen perhaps, passed through here?"
"Only one's crazy enough to be out in this storm is you two, dear." Oaken answered when they heard the bell above his door ring again, signaling the entrance of another customer.
The three turned to the door to see a man covered in snow from head to toe entering. Peter and Anna looked at him in a disturbed way, while Oaken just kept up his cheerful face.
"You two and this fellow. Yoo-Hoo! Big summer blowout!"
The newcomer ignored him and walked up to the counter, standing directly before Anna and Peter. The two looked at him awkwardly, before they heard the stranger speak to them.
"Carrots," He grumbled from behind his scarf. The Princess and the American looked at him in confusion, not understanding what he's talking about. "Behind you," He clarified in annoyance. Anna turned around to see a bunch of carrots behind her under the counter.
"Oh, sorry." Anna apologized as she made way for him to grab the vegetables and place them on the counter.
"A real howler in July," Oaken said to him. "Where do you think it could have come from?"
"The North Mountain." The man replied, as he picked up the ropes from the winter department. This caught Peter's and Anna's interest.
"North Mountain..." They said together as they looked at each other.
Peter pulled out his Spider Tracer, and it looked like where Elsa was going. He gave a nod to Anna to confirm what it was saying. The North Mountain was a perfect place for someone who wanted to get away.
Peter caught a glimpse of it when he flew in to Arendelle on the Quinjet and knew getting there could be problematic for the two of them.
Anna almost slapped her forehead for not thinking about it earlier herself. An isolated place that was shut off and far from home, it was definitely a place Elsa would go to be alone.
The man placed the rope on the counter next to the carrots and was about to pay. "That would be forty."
"Forty?" The man asked in shock. "No, ten!"
"Oh no, that won't do," Oaken replied while nodding his head. "You see, this is from our winter stock where supply and demand have a big problem."
"You want to talk about the supply and demand problem? I sell ice for a living." He says as they look and see his sled outside as Anna chuckled.
"OOOH! That's sure is a rough business to be in right now. I mean..." She was cut off when she saw the stranger narrowing his eyes at her, making her feel awkward. "That's...that's unfortunate."
"Still forty. But I will throw in a visit to Oaken-sauna." Oaken offered and turned around to wave in the direction of the sauna, which his family of five was using. "Woo-Hoo! Hi family!"
The family waved back, "Woo-Hoo!"
"Ten's all I got. Help me out." The iceman pleaded as Peter and Anna wave back to the family.
"Okay." Oaken pushed the carrots in front of him and pulled the rope and pickaxe away, "You can have this for ten, but no more."
"Ok. Tell me one thing." Anna chirped in suddenly, much to the stranger's annoyance. "What happened at the North Mountain? Did it seem...magical?"
The man seemed to mind the coldness of his clothing slightly more than Anna's questioning, as he pulled the scarf out of his face, making his face visible for the first time, "Yes! Now back up, while I deal with this crook here!"
However, their attention soon turned to Oaken, as he slowly stood up from his chair, revealing his actually quite frightening size.
Peter and Anna backed away, not wishing to be on the receiving end of his wrath because he sure wasn't happy with the term the blond stranger used on him.
"What did you call me?"
"Okay, okay, I'm out." Kristoff said as he was carried out by Oaken and was thrown into the snow before heading back inside.
"Bye Bye!"
Sven came up walking to Kristoff sniffing for carrots as Kristoff looked to his best friend.
"No, Sven, I didn't get the carrots." The reindeer frowned as Kristoff smiled as he gestured behind him. "But I did find us a place to stay for the night. And it's free."
Sven turns to the shack behind him and snorted.
"Wow, Remind me not get on his bad side." Peter told Anna who agreed.
"I'm sorry for the violence." Oaken said as he sat back behind the counter. "So, just the boots, coats, pants and the dress, ja?"
Anna was about to reply, but then she thought if the guy Oaken just threw out knew how to get to the North Mountain and/or Elsa, maybe she should help him out and then he would to the same in return. She looked at the rope and the carrots that were still on the counter and with a sigh, reached for her money.
Before Peter wondered, "Do you accept American money?"
"Sorry..." He shook his head.
Peter sighed, "That's alright. I'll show myself out."
Before the could, Anna spoke up, "I'll take everything that man and my associate was getting."
Peter was shocked at what has just occurred.
As Anna paid for everything, she whispered to him. "This doesn't mean anything. I need you to help me find my sister just in case she leaves where she's at."
Peter nodded as they got their stuff and left.
Once she had bought everything, they changed into winter clothes.
Peter knew his coat and pants wouldn't be fashionable back home, but they would have to do here. And at least now he doesn't stand out as much as before.
However, when Anna paid for the mountain equipment and the carrots, Peter knew exactly what she was intending to do. Anna lead them outside as she slammed the door a little harder than she needed.
"I assume these are for the guy Oaken just threw out." He said, trying to keep up with the princess who made him carry all the stuff, trying to keep up appearances.
"Of course! Barely anyone goes to the North Mountain. Just when we need to get there, a skilled ice harvester comes along. He's the most suitable to get us there!" Anna cheered.
Peter couldn't help but smile. It seemed as time went on, they thought more alike, and maybe she could warm up to him better.
"You know, that's actually a very good idea."
"Really?" She asked haltingly.
"Yes, I was having the exact same thought. I'm happy we're finally starting to see eye to eye." Peter nodded.
"That's not true!" She gasped in shock, before continuing to walk towards the small hut, that they were told served as the place where there would be tour guides that spent the night.
Peter chuckled as he put his hands in his pocket. "Yes, it is. We're starting to think alike."
"No, we're not!" Anna declined firmly.
Peter allowed a playful smirk to linger on his face as both of them realized how ridiculous they were acting and burst out laughing.
Just then they heard the ice harvester singing inside the shed
"Reindeers are better than people. Sven, don't you think that's true?"
Before they entered, their eyes widened as his voice changed.
"Yeah, people will beat you, and curse you, and cheat you. Every one of 'em's bad except you. Aw, thanks, buddy..." The iceman thanked as Anna and Peter turned to each other with concern.
"Is he...is he talking for the reindeer?" Peter asked, getting creeped out.
"Yeah, maybe this wasn't such a good idea." Anna nodded, getting creeped out herself.
"But people smell better than reindeer. Sven, don't you think I'm right?" The man continued to sing.
"Maybe if we're lucky, some more sane harvester will show up any second now." Peter supposes, kinda hopeful.
Peter and Anna turned with hope for someone else to come along.
"That's once again true. For all except you..." The two of them kept an eye out and sees nobody is coming.
"We're stuck with him...aren't we?" Anna could see as no one else was showing up any time soon.
"Yup." Peter sighed. "This is going to be a long trip."
"You got me, let's call it a night." The man sang as he changed his voice one last time, "Good night. Don't let the frostbite... Bite..."
"Nice duet." Anna opened the door and quipped.
The iceman gasped in shock, worried it was the owner but calmed himself as he recognized them from the store and sighed in relief.
"It's just you two. What do you want?"
"We need you to take us to the North Mountain." Anna explains to him.
The man shook his head, laying back down to rest. "I don't take people places."
"Let me rephrase that;" A sack of supplies lands in Kristoff's lap.
He sat back up and looks in the bag to see all things he was planning to buy was in the sack.
"Take us up the North Mountain...Please." Anna asks, more demanding as he stared at her. He clearly doesn't take orders until she added, "Look, I know how to stop this winter."
He considered it before lying back down, pulling his hat over his eyes.
"We leave at dawn...And you've forgot the carrots for Sven." Kristoff said with a smile.
Anna threw the bag of carrots lands on his head and quickly apologized, "Oops. Sorry. Sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't...We leave now...right now..."
Anna gestured Peter to follow her as Kristoff shared a carrot with Sven.
