"We're gonna... get moving! You guys can keep doing your thing though!" Ferb replied, and him and Emma ran down the sidewalk laughing.
When they reached the end of the sidewalk, Emma pulled out her phone. "I got blackmail!" she laughed, and opened a picture of Phineas and Isabella kissing, and then one of them surprised after they saw them.
Ferb looked at the picture and snorted. "Those are definitely playing at their wedding!" he said, and the two started laughing.
When they finished laughing, Ferb decided to tease her a little bit. "Man, I didn't know you were such a bad girl! You know, I'm not really into bad girls."
Her smile dropped immediately. "W-what?" she squeaked, her heart dropping in her chest. "I'm n-not an actual b-bad girl! I- I don't r-really do that kind of s-stuff!"
He looked at her little terrified face and he felt terrible. "Oh, no! I was just teasing! I'm into you, I just- I was trying to make a joke!" he said, hugging her.
He felt her shaking and pulled away with a concerned look. She was laughing. He smiled and rolled his eyes.
"You totally fell for that!" she said, bending over from laughing so hard.
"Ha, ha, ha. You scared me! You have a very skilled poker face, by the way." he laughed.
"Thanks, I've been working on it for a while! Anyways... you're into me?" she smirked.
His face burned red. "I, uh... I mean... you..." he started, then just let out a deep sigh. "Is it not obvious? I kissed you twice today." he laughed.
She laughed and grabbed his hand. "Just messing with you, big guy. Come on, the fair's just around this corner!" she led him to the entrance, and they both gasped.
"Look, they have go-carts!" she said with enthusiasm.
He smiled at her childlike happiness and followed her to the go-cart track. They both got in their own cars and Emma looked behind her to see Ferb in the car behind her. "Better get used to seeing this, cuz I'm gonna win!" she smirked, sticking her tongue out.
"Believe me, I'm getting used to seeing it..." he whispered to himself before flashing her a thumbs up and a wink.
They raced each other around the track multiple times, making sure to let each other know when they were nearby. Ferb would fake her out by pretending to almost crash into her and then turn back at the last second.
After they were done yelling and racing each other, they got out, Emma in 1st place and Ferb at a close 2nd. Emma got out of her go-cart and started jumping up and down, waiting for Ferb. When he got out, he ran up to her, picked her up, put her on his shoulders (which surprised her), and they both ran to the exit, where he let her down.
The little girl who they had seen at the mall earlier saw them and said hi.
"Did he ask you to date him?" the little girl asked.
"Well... he asked me to go on a date!" Emma blushed.
"Yay! I knew you would be together. Are you gonna get married?"
Emma and Ferb both turned bright red and looked at each other for a split second.
"I-uh... we..." they both mumbled.
She started laughing hysterically at the two illiterate teenagers. "You guys are funny, you should babysit me sometime!" she giggled, as she ran away to her mother who was calling her.
"S-sorry about that..." Ferb blushed and held one arm in the other.
"No, it's fine! Kids... they say the darnedest things huh?" she laughed nervously.
"Yes, yes they do." he laughed. "Shall we go on the rollercoaster next?" he asked.
"Let's do it!" she said, happy that they broke the awkwardness finally.
The two ran to the rollercoaster and thought they saw some familiar faces in the front seat of the coaster, but it was far away so they didn't look much farther. Instead, they turned around and talked to each other.
"So, do you know where you wanna go to college?" Ferb asked.
"I don't know, to be completely honest. I kinda want to be a kindergarten teacher, just because I love kids. Plus, I already know all the kindergarten material by heart, who needs college? Just kidding... ugh I wish it was that easy to be a teacher." she said with a longing tone. "What about you?"
"Well, I would love to go to university at Camford in Oxbury, they have a lot of great programs there, plus it would be like going back home, if you know what I mean." he sighed. "I miss London."
She frowned at his sadness. "Aww, Ferb! I know how it is to miss home. Believe me. When I moved to Alabama from Vegas, I was miserable. I had to move away from all of my friends and family just to go to a place that was way crappier. That's a story for another time, though. Anyways, you're lucky to live in a place like Danville! You have a ton of friends, plus your family, and you're absolutely adored by everyone! Seriously, I can't have a conversation with someone without them bringing up you or your brother, it's kinda crazy."
He smiled at her attempt to make him happy, and just looking in her gorgeous eyes was enough for him to get out of his funk. "Thanks, Emma, I'm glad I'm not the only one." he smiled warmly.
She felt her heart drop out of place. Seriously, what's going on? she thought. "Mhm, anytime! Oh, look it's our turn! Where do you wanna sit?" she asked, motioning with her hand to the coaster.
"The back is usually more bumpy, it might be better to sit near the front?" he offered, and she agreed. She surprised him by grabbing his hand. He looked back at her.
"What?" she asked.
"Oh, nothing." he smirked, and helped her in the coaster, before getting in himself.
Ferb glanced to his left and saw Phineas and Isabella getting hot dogs.
"Look, there they are!" he pointed, and tried waving, but they didn't see him.
The rollercoaster started, and they were immediately taken up a steep incline. Emma was surprised and grasped onto Ferb's arm for comfort. He smiled and held her tight.
"Don't worry, I got you!" he said, causing her to smile.
They screamed and laughed together, reaching their hands up in the sky, and when she did, Ferb took his shot and reached one arm over her shoulder. Obviously, it worked well, because she leaned more against him.
When they got off, Emma cheered. "Best. Rollercoaster. Ever." she said, and her gaze was met by a cocky look from Ferb. "What?"
"Oh, that's right! You haven't been on a Phineas and Ferb style rollercoaster. Well, there's another surprise you don't know about me." he winked.
"You build rollercoasters? Oh, you mean those little toothpick ones! Those are cool!" she said.
"No, no no. Real rollercoasters. Ones with 3 mile high drops, mud pits, send you into space, super fast, everything. Just wait for next summer, you'll see what I'm talking about. Or better yet, I can show you pictures! We could go back to my place and I'll show you pictures of all of our adventures so you have a better idea of what we do in our free time!" he exclaimed, excited to show her his accomplishments.
Her jaw dropped at his descriptions. Could he even do that? "That sounds great! Can we go on one last ride before we leave, though? Just one, please?" she asked.
"I guess we can do that! Which one?"
She paused for a second. Tunnel of Love or Ferris Wheel? She decided on the Ferris Wheel, in hopes that it wouldn't be as awkward.
"Alright, let's go!" he said, and the two happy lovebirds were off again.
They approached the ferris wheel and entered a small enclosed space where they sat next to each other.
The wheel started turning, and they got higher and higher off the ground. Emma was in awe at the night sky and how beautiful it was. Ferb was just captivated by the sparkle of her hazel eyes. She looked beautiful, magical even, and he couldn't get over her.
"Emma... about that thing we were talking about earlier. What were you saying about feeling different?" he asked, thinking it was the perfect time to talk about it.
She inhaled sharply, unsure of what to say. "Um... well, since we've met, which has only been a couple days, I've just felt this kind of bond between us that I don't have with anyone else, and I guess I just had to get that off of my chest. It's totally fine if you don't feel the same way, I just had to tell you." she said quickly.
"I-I thought it was just me... you feel the same way too? Emma, I just... I don't feel like my normal self around you. I feel like I can talk a lot more, and you don't judge me at all. I'm okay with being just friends... as long as we have some sort of benefits..." he gave her a sad smile, hoping she would change her mind.
She sat in silence for a few seconds, pondering the words he had just told her. "Ferb, you know what? Who cares if we've only known each other for two days? Maybe we are out of the friend zone, but also, let's not go too fast. We can be dating without being boyfriend and girlfriend. I'd be totally fine with that." she smiled.
"Wait, really?" he grinned.
"Really." she said, and leaned in for a kiss. He kissed her right there, and they couldn't help but want more of each other. It went from a very chaste, fragile kiss, to a passionate makeout session.
Emma slipped one hand under his arm and rested the tips of her fingers on his neck, and the other hand on his shoulder. Ferb ruffled her soft, blonde hair, and slid his hands under her legs, lifting her up onto his lap. She held to him tighter, and wouldn't let go. After they were done, she sat there, her head on his chest. He smiled and chuckled at the scene that had just happened. She was still wearing his windbreaker, and when he smelled it, it smelled just like her vanilla and rose perfume, and he was all for it.
When the ride ended, they got out and started walking back to his house to look at pictures, when Ferb noticed a strange sight at the park. Taking a closer look, he saw that it was, in fact, Phineas and Isabella asleep on a parkbench. He stopped and pointed to them. Emma saw them too, and she giggled.
"Should we wake them up?" she whispered.
"We probably should before they get kidnapped." Ferb laughed, and the two walked over to them to wake them up.
"Phineas! Isabella! Hi!" Ferb whisper yelled into their ears. They slowly woke up, and weren't very happy that they were rudely awakened.
"What are you guys doing here?" Phineas asked, yawning.
"We saw you guys and woke up you so you didn't get kidnapped." Ferb replied. "We're going home, you guys can come with us or stay here or whatever."
They got up and decided to go home. They stayed 10 feet behind, because they were tired and didn't feel like moving too much.
When they finally reached the yellow house, Ferb opened the door and let them all inside. He found the scrapbook that Irving had put together for them, or a copy of the UPAFDS, and took it downstairs so they could all look at it and show Emma.
"It all started in the summer about 6 years ago..."
