A few days had passed, and the mercs were discussing different strategies of how they were going to get rid of the Administrator. No weapon had been seen, but Spy was not going to take any chances, and had different mercs posted outside to keep watch in case anything does show up. Hunter was currently posted at the high wall, while Scout and Pyro were on the ground.
Scout radioed in to the other two: "No sign of anything here. You guys seeing anything?" Pyro radioed a few muffled words, which Hunter still could not understand, but he assumed Pyro didn't see anything either.
"Nothing here, either." He said.
"Geez," Scout said, "You'd think if they were gonna use some crazy weapon on us that we should have seen it by now."
"Agreed," Hunter said, "This many days without a head to shoot at is starting to push it for me."
Just then, something caught Hunter's eye in the distance.
"Wait, hang on. Something just came up on my visual." he said, and zoomed his scope in at the object.
"Your what?" Scout asked.
"It means I see something, dumbass!" Hunter yelled; he really hated how incompetent Scout could be sometimes. As he got closer, he saw a figure in an outfit similar to Scout's, only it was blu. There was something else weird about it too, but the figure was too far away for him to see much else.
"It looks like Blu team," Hunter said, "But I can't really see much else. I'm going in for a closer look."
"Gotcha," Scout said, "We'll be ready if you need us."
"Not sue if I should be thankful or worried, but okay." Hunter said, and then, using his grappling hook, he swung across a few buildings, getting closer to the blu merc, but still out of sight. He stopped at the edge of a slanted roof and laid down on his stomach, looking over the top of the roof to see the figure below. Taking his rifle out, he looked through the scope to get a better view, and saw something quite shocking.
"Uhh, guys." Hunter said, "It's another Scout, I think…"
"What do you mean, you think?" Scout asked.
"I know this might sound weird, but…it's a girl."
"A what?!" Scout said, "How can you tell?"
"She's wearing a shirt that stops above her stomach, she has long blonde hair, and I don't think your ass is that big."
"HEY!" Scout yelled. Hunter could also hear Pyro laughing hysterically over the radio.
"I don't know about you, but I'm capturing this one. Go let Spy know I'm coming with a captive and tell him to get the others and meet me in the meeting room." Hunter said, and he loaded a tranquilizer dart into the rifle. Aiming at the she-Scout's neck, Hunter pulled the trigger, sending the dart right into its target. As the girl collapsed to the ground, unconscious, Hunter dropped down, scooped her up, and then grappled back to the Red base as fast as he could. Once he got there, he slung the girl over his shoulder and walked into the meeting room, where all the other mercs were waiting.
"So, what did you find?" Spy asked.
"Something pretty interesting actually," Hunter replied. "Or should I say, someone." Here, he swung the girl Scout from over his shoulder, placing her on the table. The other mercs started back in astonishment at what they saw. Scout looked her over.
"What the hell are you doing?" Ranger asked, noticing what Scout was doing.
After a few moments, Scout stood back up: "Yeah, you're right Hunter. It's a girl." He said, causing Ranger and Hunter to simultaneously facepalm.
Scavenger looked closely at her too: "I'm not gonna lie; she's kinda cute."
Soldier then grabbed him by his shirt, saying: "Do not let those deceptively good looks fool you, maggot. That may be just what they want you to think."
"But this makes no sense." Heavy said, "Female coward has never been seen before. Where did she come from?"
"There's only one way to find out," Soldier said, letting go of Scavenger, "We must interrogate her, whatever it takes to pry all the information out."
"For once, I agree with Soldier." Spy said, "Medic, strap this girl to one of your chairs."
…
About an hour later later, the she-Scout slowly woke up to find herself strapped to a medical bed adjusted to an upright position. Regaining her senses she began looking around the medical room she was in.
"What the hell?" she said (in a Bostonian accent of course), and then, noticing the straps around her hands and feet, began struggling against them a bit. Just then, the door opened as Medic returned into the room, noticing the awake girl as he did.
"Vundabar! You are avake." He said, "Now, ve can begin."
"What is this? Who are you? Begin what?" she began asking.
Medic shouted something into the hall, and, a few minutes later, the other mercs had entered the room and circled the table the girl was strapped to. Soldier and Pyro were at the front, holding a shovel and fire axe respectively. Then, Spy walked up between the two men and faced the girl Scout.
"I understand this all may seem a bit new to you." He said.
"What is this?" the girl asked.
"An interrogation." Soldier said: "Prepare to start spilling beans or spilling blood. Your choice."
"Easy now, Soldier." Spy said, "But he is right. You will tell us what we need to know, or Soldier and Pyro here will do to you what is needed to get the information we need out."
"How did you find me?"
Spy gestured to Hunter, menacingly standing in the corner of the room; the girl felt the red glare of the eyepiece boring into her: "Our friend, Hunter, here spotted you from far away," Spy explained, "He tranquilized you so that we could ask you…important questions."
"Yeah," Scout said, "Like are you some kinda fangirl of me or something, cause while I appreciate having fans…"
Spy backhanded Scout: "Save your moronic question for later, Scout." Then, turning back to the girl, "To actually start, what is your name?"
"My name is classified," the girl said, "But you can call me Scout."
"BS!" Scout shouted, "I'm the Scout around here."
"Easy now, mate." Sniper said, holding Scout back and keeping him from lunging at the girl.
Spy was undeterred and continued: "This is the bigger question: What are you doing here? You were too close to our base to have simply wandered close."
"Plus," Ranger said. "We found weapons on you when Hunter brought you in."
The girl was hesitant: "I-I-I…I can't tell."
"Suit yourself." Spy said, nodding to Soldier and Pyro. Pyro took out a lighter, walked over to the girl and, lighting the lighter, brought it close to her face; the girl began to become more and more scared.
"Wait," Scavenger said, "Not the face."
Pyro turned around and made a confused muffled noise.
"I grew up with four older sisters." Scavenger said, "If you want to get them to talk, you gotta go for the part that's way more sensitive than the face. Preferably somewhere a little lower than the head."
The girl gasped: "You wouldn't dare…" she said. Pyro simply chuckled a little bit and moved the match down to her chest. The lighter was an inch away from touching her chest when the girl finally cried out: "Okay, okay, I'll talk!"
"That's enough, Pyro." Spy said. Pyro pulled the lighter away, making a disappointed sound.
"I was hired by someone called the Administrator to attack and defeat a rival team." She said.
"What rival team?" Heavy asked.
"You, actually."
The mercs looked among themselves in surprise as an idea slowly dawned on them.
"You're not the only one, are you?" Engie said.
After a few moments of silence, the girl shook her head: "No, I'm not."
"How many others are there?" Hunter said. starting to get what Engie's question I getting at.
"Nine others." The girl said, "They're all like each of you. Well, most of you; I don't know who you are." She said pointing to Scavenger, Hunter, and Ranger.
The mercs looked among each other in shock as the pieces of the puzzle finally came together. The Administrator's weapon was a new team of mercs that were, for some reason, all girls.
"Oh…crap." Scout said.
"Agreed." Scavenger said. Just like the other silent mercs, they were aware that their new situation just got a whole lot more interesting.
Author's note: Bet you didn't see that one coming, did ya? I know full well that this is a good idea ONLY IF it is done right, which I will definitely try to do. BTW when Medic said vundabar, I do not know if I spelled that right, but it is the German word for wonderful.
